New Barclaycard Design Revealed

http://www.barclaycardring.com/t5/Barclaycard-Ring-Public-Blog/The-New-Card-Design-is-Revealed/ba-p/19532 The new Barclaycard Ring design has been revealed and will be arriving for existing cardholders in the mail by October. For new members, late July. I personally think it's a nice design and gives people more incentive to get it (for the shallow). 8% interest, no promos, no hassle, no rotating categories of any kind. What do you guys think of the new design? Will you be apping for it if you're not already a cardholder?    Edit:
And here it is:We hope you like it! Thanks to everyone who voiced their opinion and helped to shape the new design. And, yes, it is a chip card. (Interested in learning more about the Chip and Signature with PIN enabled technology? Click here for additional details.) So who will get the new plastic and when?Starting in October 2015 cardmembers who made at least one purchase in 2014 willautomatically receive the new plastic in the mail. Your credit card number and the security code on the back will not change. However, if your expiration date is within a 3 year window, your new card will have a new expiration date. So you will need to remember to update any recurring billers, online merchants or digital wallets with the new date. Your old card will still be valid until sometime in early 2016. Cardmembers who did not use the card to make a purchase in 2014 or became Barclaycard Ring cardmembers in 2015 will not be automatically re-issued the new card design. If you’d like the new card (with Chip technology), you can call the number on the back of your current Ring card and request the new card design. Otherwise you can wait until your current card expires and you will automatically receive the new card in the mail. We may also choose to automatically re-issue the cards in the future to cardmembers who still have the original orange card.

It sort of reminds me of the Rewards card. What I find interesting in the above paragraph, is the fact that cardholders who didn't make 2014 purchases and those who obtained the Ring this year won't automatically get the card even with the ongoing need to meet the chip card deadline. Does the old Ring card have a chip? Yeah but the following paragraph that I didn't include states you can just call and request one...agree it is odd still. I got approved for the card in March and it did not have a SIM so I will be calling up and requesting a new card.

  • The New Card Design for the Barclays Ring.

I’m here to announce that the new card design has been finalized and it will be ready for new cardmembers in late July and existing cardmembers beginning in October. Here’s a quick recap of the very fun and innovative process that we went through together to co-create the next Barclaycard Ring card.
In 2014 we asked cardmembers in an open forum to describe what they liked and didn’t like about the design of their current Barclaycard Ring card. We received hundreds of comments and passed them along to our design team.
This resulted in the following plastic designs
    Option 1.pngOption 2.png Option 3.png
Incorporating your feedback, the designers created a three dimensional view of the card designs, which we posted in the forum for more feedback. This round resulted in four unique plastic designs that were presented for an official vote.
    Voting results.jpg
The winner, with 42% of the voting Ring cardmembers, was card design #1. We also noticed cardmember feedback regarding concerns about the font choice for the most popular card design. We took this feedback to the design team and they presented four more options to the internal team. We picked one and now it was time to see how these designs looked in reality. About 10 weeks later we got a “proof”, or an example of what the card would actually look like. And I will tell you that it did not look good. Luckily, one of the designers went out to visit the card production vendor. They worked with the design and the production process to get as close as possible to the original design.
    And here it is:

I hope all of that helps. Of course if you have any questions just leave it in the comments below. Thanks again for participating in the design of the new Barclaycard Ring card!

I'm apart of that community and I was shocked to see that this is all they could come up with. In todays market with the different plastics available this to me is very quaint. Not appealing and to think they had a committee and designers and all that... it's truely disappointing!

I am trying to downloat the new CS6 Design Suite and am not able to get past the previous version menu. Getting the message "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another." How do I get past this?

When you say "Download" do you actually mean install?
Which version are you upgrading from?
Could you try the solutions in the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html.

You could double the number of on-screen lists (or shorten the scrolling) if you cut it down. There used to be a link on the right that would take me back to the Bookmarks page (what I use as a home page for these forums.) No easy way to get back there that I can see, other than directly from my browser bookmark. At least the text entry seems to properly work with Firefox.   Posted on :‎03-09-2015 05:22 PM    Kudos  0ReplyFollow Options      ResponsesReply     Posted byWelcome_to_Post Member Since: ‎07-02-2003 Posts: 5,381   *sigh*  Happens every.  Single. Posts are no longer numbered. About the only things that are good are that the toolbar features when replying now work with SeaMonkey and Firefox and other browsers AND the default font size seen when composing a reply is big enough to easily see instead of being teeny tiny as it was before. Yippee!!! No more nose prints on the screen when trying to see what I was composing.

  • How to create new pre-designed CSS layouts in DW CS4?

Since I'm a relative newcomer to Dreamweaver and CSS, I normally begin my new pages with one of Dreamweaver CS4's pre-designed CSS layouts in the Blank Page HTML section - 2 column fixed left sidebar, 1 column elastic centered, 3 column fixed header and footer, etc.
Lately I'm expanding to some more elaborate layouts and I'll like to be able to create new pre-designed CSS layouts of my own to add to this list. So I have a couple of questions:
    1) What types of files are these layouts? They all seem to have an accompanying style sheet in addition to having a page template. What I'm getting at is, if I were to revise one of these, how would I save my revised version so that it would show up in this list of pre-designed layouts in the future?
    2) Related to the first question, where are these pre-designed CSS layouts stored within Dreamweaver's file and folder structure? I can't seem to find them anywhere.
I appreciate your input on this.

Adobe scrapped the old Starter pages.  Many things have changed since they were first introduced.

  • Gui error: Unable to initialize New Visual Design Mode

    SAP Frontend Server
Unable to initialize New Visual Design Mode.
    Please use Classic Mode.
What can i do with this error? Thanks

    Hi,
Do you see this error only in 1 system. If yes, perform the following:
    1. Install the updated display drivers.
    2. Check the operating system (some old operating systems such as Windows 98, NT doesn't support Visual designs.)
    3. Check that you have the latest version of SAP GUI patches installed.
If the problem persists, run sapsweep.exe and install the GUI again.

  • New website design apps

What are some of the new website design apps that current iWeb users are going to?

Ethmoid is right.  But after MMe is discontinued iWeb will has some problems but can be fixed as described below:
It's now confirmed that iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
    ◼ Password protection
    ◼ Blog and photo comments
    ◼ Blog search
    ◼ Hit counter
    ◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken.  If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows.  Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.
However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone.  How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
In addition the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on.
HOWEVER, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still currently available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those copies still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

  • New Visual Design .... not working!

    Hi,
I have SAP Logon 640 PL 23. Yesterday I changed the <b>New Visual Design</b> to streamline. Now when I click on the <b>New Visual Design ...</b> link nothing happens. Anyone who has had a similar issue. How can I solve it? Is there a way to change the design without using the  <b>New Visual Design ...</b> link?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Preet,
ok, I guess that is always an option, but can you think of a way that would require less work?
    Thanks.

  • New DC design

we are medium size service provider with limited budget and rack space for new upgrade project.
objective is to design new datacenter design with Core - Distribution and Access in parallel to existing and gradually migrate networks over.
for Core we have already purchased a pair of 4948E, for Distribution we are not sure but looking at 4500 X, and edge witll be layer 2 Cisco switches , perhaps 2960
It a shared service model with cloud services, security and availability is important, design we are working on is:
    - Layer 3 at Core
    - VRF for each customer at Core with VACLs where required
    - VSS ( is it required at both distribution and Core) ?
    - Access to Distribution 10G trunks
does above look ok with the selection of hardware?

If you run VSS in the Distribution tier of your network then spanning tree won't block OSI Layer2 uplinks from the Access tier. Therefore you double the bandwidth of these uplinks.
With OSI Layer3 uplinks from the Distribution to the Core you don't have this issue so the need for VSS is reduced. However you stated that you have 4948E switches in the Core. These switches don't support VSS.
You will only be able to implement VRF-Lite on the hardware you listed above. It depends on your business requirements if you need to support a full MPLS VPN network. If that is the case then you would need to look to deploying 6500s in the Distribution tier.
For redundancy I would muli-home each 2960 to each 4500X.

  • New Signature Design = Fast?

Should the new signature design delivered in patch 11 also cause a speed boost?  I don't have hard benchmark numbers before and after, but the GUI just feels more responsive on my machine after apply the patch and switching themes.
It could just be my development system is having a good day, but I'm just impressed at how quick the GUI comes back with app server responses.
    Take care,
    Stephen

    Hi all,
as one of our tests we perform for each patch / compilation of SAP GUI for Windows we measure the performance (focus is on CPU utilization, memory consumption and used GDI objects). For SAP Signature Design we have measured the performance a number of times and have compared this to Enjoy.
During the early stages of SAP Signature Design development we have seen a big difference between Enjoy and SAP Signature Design: SAP Signature Design consumed a lot more than Enjoy.
Through various cycles of improvement and optimization we have managed to reduce the difference between Enjoy and SAP Signature Design to the values mentioned in SAP note 26417:
"When SAP Signature Design is activated SAP GUI uses about 12MB
additional memory and the CPU utilization by SAP GUI increases to
between 140% and 175% of the utilization when using Enjoy."
The 12MB are caused by additional lilbraries which have to loaded when SAP Signature Design is active. This additional amount of memory is not used per session, but only once for all sessions.
Therefore this should not be a big issue unless you are using Terminal Servers (on a WTS this may be an issue since many users on the same hardware will need the additional 12MB).
The additional CPU utilization is required for the different drawing mechanisms (e.g. the shadows) and we currently see no way to further significantly improve this.
    To answer your original question:
Even though SAP Signature Design is looking faster than Enjoy, it is not. I think the modern optical impression of the new design helps to make it look faster and on modern PCs we do not expect any significant performance issues. Therefore you probably have the "feeling" that it is faster (and this is great since the impression of the end user is very important, too).
I hope that helps to answer the question.
    Best regards,
    Frank Krause

  • How can I transfer a site that was made in iWeb to a new web design service? Please tell me I don't have to build again from scratch!!

I have a site that I update for a large group of educators.  It has years of info and pages and it was all created in iWeb.  It's a great site and people rely on it!  I found out that iWeb is going away and I need to find a way to keep updating this site asap.  Help!!
PS:  IMO Apple should be making a web design app that supports the continuation of sites built in iWeb AND has the ability to update them with all the design features that they claim iWeb isn't equipped to handle instead of throwing us all out on the street.  If this does exist, and I don't know it, please, someone tell me!

You don't need to upgrade to Mt Lion to use iWeb 3.  It works fine in Lion and Mt Lion. Read the following for use if iWeb in Lion and Mt Lion.
In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or Mountain Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

  • The new column designed not appears in the form

    Dear All Gurus/Experts,
I created new column directly in the database stored in the SQL server 2000,in table IGN1, right click --> select design table, then right click --> insert column, I write U_copqty, numeric data type, 9 is its length and allow nulls check mark.
I can't understand why the field is not appeared in the form settings like other columns so that I can thick and make it appear in the form IGN1 (receipt from production). I have read development training files but I am confusing if it is really need VB.net to do that. I also know about user defined field but it doesn't what I need because I have created UDF in the production order row but I can't find it in the receipt from production form, so I just did create the new field/column directly in its database but I fail to make it appear in the form settings when I need it to be available in the receipt from production form. would you pls help me ? I appreciate your answer. TIA
    Rgds,
    Steve

    Hello Steve,
The reason you can not see the directly added field is because that there is another table CUFD which holds all the User Defined Field information. So, you need to add a new record in that table. However, the approach is really not SAP recommended. Directly handling database could be very risky. Please create the user defined field according to the steps.
Regarding why you can not view the field you created, did you create a row or document level field?
    Hope this helps,
    Nick
