New blackberry I'd update... appworld won't open at all now

I just recently upgraded the blackberry I'd software and now my app world will not open. When I open the menu of running programs it shows it running but does not open at all.

I had upgraded to 4.0.0.55 and the icon is no longer in my homescreen, I am therefore unable to open app world. I have also tried on several occasions the advice given above - hard start, delete, hard start, reload etc. I can also not find any link to download version 3.1.1.21 which was the last one that worked as I had the same issue with 3.1.1.25

Garageband won't open at all now -- plus USB turntable issues

Applemeisters: I haven't used GarageBand in a couple of months. Now it won't open at all. The icon flickers for a couple of seconds on the dock and then disappears. I have a 10.2.8 operating system and about 3 GBs of hard disc space (I know, the usual remedy is to clear up more space, but I've had much less space and it's worked then).
Meanwhile, I bought an Ion turntable months ago and have tried repeatedly to record lps -- only to have very distorted sound, much worse than the regular stereo downstairs. Is the Ion supposed to be a plug and play with a Mac when you plug it directly into a USB port in your G4 tower? The Audacity software that is supposed to turn the lp into CD isn't doing its job apparently because the USB turntable sounds fine downstairs when I plug it into the console and speakers that play my o9dl fashinoned regular stereo.

The problems are caused by third party input managers/enhancers that have not yet been updated by their developers to comply with the standards used by Safari 3.2.1. and/or Safari 4.
In your case these are:

You fill find them in one or either of these folders:
Home/Library/Input Managers
Hard Disk/library/Input Managers
Hard Disk/Library/Application Support
although the exact location is indicated in your crash report as quoted above - look under 'Binary Images'.
Close Safari and delete them, then restart Safari and it should be working normally.
Check with the developers of the plug-ins in question for updates that are Safari 4 compliant.

Photoshop Elements 7 won't open at all...

I can't get my photoshop elements 7 to open, whatsoever. It's always worked and now poof, nothing. I opened it, hit 'edit' and the whole thing shut down and won't open at all, now. I've rebooted; nothing. I'm not sure if I should uninstall and reinstall, or what. Anyone have any advice? It's appreciated and thanks in advance.

Did you actually download the installer from Apple or did you use Software Update. You can download the installer http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Maybe I'm old fashioned but I would consider repairing permissions first using Disk Utility because something caused this to go wrong the first time. And of course make a backup of your whole library first. It shouldn't happen but some have complained about their libraries being wiped out by iTunes updates. Better safe...

You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)<br />

ITunes won't open at all... only error messages

hey guys,
no idea what's going on with my iTunes its really annoying though here's the scoop i got a lot of bad crap on my comp. so i had it formatted by a guy at work came home installed itunes opened it up it worked great all the sudden it closes itself and now it won't open at all i've redownloaded it at least ten times... nothing works... soon as i click on the iTunes icon it says iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close i sent the error report and it said Apple had a solution to my problem.. but after hours of searching i have found nothing so i'm just going to post this up hoping someone knows whats up (um just for some info i went to my add/remove hardware and quicktime wasn't in there... that's not right i think someone let me know lol)

No thats not right, iTUnes uses parts of quicktime to play audio and video. You need to go here and download the stand alone version of quicktime. Now apple has recently changed this page to include quicktime with iTUnes and then qwuicktime only. get the one WITHOUT iTUnes,

Firefox has been crashing when I try to close it and now won't open at all.

For some time now, Firefox has been timing out when I tried to close it, making it necessary to "force quit." Now it won't open at all. Even more strangely, I'm not able to send a crash report to Apple (I get the message "submission failed").
I've tried downloading the newest version, downloading plug-ins, and starting in "safe mode."
Also strange, in my bookmarks section the little icons had disappeared lately.

Safari 7.1 won't open at all

Hi, after upgrading to Safari 7.1, it won't open at all. I noticed that it is listed in the App Store updates as having been updated twice and I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Safari won't open at all

When I try to open Safari the icon just bounces a few times and the rainbow wheel spins for a bit and then nothing happens.
Safari doesn't open, the icon stops bouncing and everything just goes back to as if I never clicked on the icon to open Safari. I don't know what is going on. Safari has always worked fine and this just started sometime yesterday out of the blue.
I've read some of the other posts and I tried to open Safari via a different user account and that did not work. I did the cache/library suggestions from my user home and that didn't work. I also did the 4.2.2.2 suggestion in the DNS Server and that didn't work either. Safari just won't open at all. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to repair the permissions? This is usually the first thing I do when something is not working right. If you recently installed a new application, sometimes the permissions can get messed up for other applications. Run Disk Utility which is in your Utilities folder to do this. I have my ipod touch version 4.2.1(8C148). At first, I wanted to save more music in my ipod touch so I installed the latest version of itunes(10.6.1.7). I followed the rules on how to save music from forums in the internet. I made a playlist on itunes, and from my Music file I dragged my mp3's on my itune's playlist. I plugged my ipod touch and it appearred on the left side as Device. And from my playlist, I selected all and dragged them into my ipod touch.. and then click Sync below. (example: http://www.technipages.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/iTunes-Sync-button.png). After that, I also saved videos. The same procedures I did like on how to save musics. After Syncing all... when i opened a game app, it won't open. All of the game applications won't open! I don't know why. Help me!:)

Update it from iTunes on a computer as described at the bottom of this article; there isn't a Software Update option in General on iOS versions prior to 5.0. It can only be updated directly to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware.
The maximum iOS version for the second generation iPod touch and the iPhone 3G is 4.2.1.
The maximum iOS version for the third generation iPod touch and original iPad is 5.1.1.

IPhoto won't open at all! Help!

I wonder if this has anything to do with the latest OSX and QT updates? I don't know, but the thing is iPhoto all of a sudden won't open at all. The icon bounces only once and then nothing happens, HELP PANIC!

iPhoto is missing bits of itself and you need to reinstall it.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.
