New BlackBerry Z30 amplifies the BlackBerry 10 experience

New BlackBerry Z30 amplifies the BlackBerry 10 experience
The BlackBerry Z30 amplifies the BlackBerry 10 experience with:
Bigger and Better Display
All of the great BlackBerry 10 experiences come to life on a large, 5” display that excels at sharp text, beautiful saturation and deep contrast.
Vibrant colors and the incredible detail
Z30 uses a super AMOLED display that is able to produce sharper details and fuller than many other OLED displays because of the way the pixels are arranged.
Quad core graphics mean web pages are lighting fast.
Again look at how pin sharp the black text is on the white background.
Longer battery life
Z30 has been designed to keep customers with intense needs moving all day with 25 hours of battery life. Not only have we put in a massive 2880 mAh battery but we’ve been able to achieve better power efficiency by optimizing the UI, processor and antenna. No need for a removable battery!
Compared to the BlackBerry Z10, Z30 will offer up to 15 more hours of use.
At 2880 mAh the Z30 has the biggest battery that we've ever put in a BlackBerry - this is achievable due to the battery being spread out across the back of the phone.  That is why the battery is sealed.
Better Connectivity: BlackBerry Antennae Technology
The BlackBerry Paratek Antenna exclusive to Z30 dynamically tunes itself to its environment to optimize upload and download speeds and ensure fewer dropped calls ‐ even in areas with weak coverage, like a basement for example.
Better Sound
Z30 also boasts an impressive pair of stereo speakers (2,  1-watt speakers)that immerse you in sound whether you’re watching a video, listening to music or playing a game
Play a pre-loaded movie or song and listen to the vibrant sound / watch the large screen
What is different about the Z30 vs. Z10?
Better and Bigger Display
37% more screen space
Faster and more powerful
Quad core graphics make transitions incredibly fluid
Better Connectivity
Antenna dynamically tunes itself to its environment and delivers stronger connectivity and faster data in weak coverage areas
Better Battery Life
90%more battery than iPhone 5, 10% bigger than Galaxy S4
25 hours mixed use
Better Sound
BlackBerry Natural Sound Technology to make BBM Voice and Video calls clear
Dual 1 watt speakers for fuller richer and clearer sound

I suspect that you are using the Forwarding option within Workgroup Manager, and this works outside of the postfix alias scheme. I think you should just set those users you are forwarding to, to normal mail users, and put their forwarding rules ALSO in the alias file, so you would have:
    MAILER-DAEMON: postmaster
    postmaster: alex,yong
    alex: [email protected]
That should do it. You really have to commit to either using Workgroup Manager or Postfix in their entirety. They don't really work too nicely in conjunction with each other.

  • Sync calender & email in the past after buying new blackberry

    Dear all,
After buying a new Blackberry Bold & sychronizing it with my Black Berry Server i came to
the conclusion that only recent email (1 day old) and the appointment from the last few weeks
are synchronized with my new device.  Does anybody know how i can get all the email and
appointments from the last 6 months back in to my device ?
    Thanks in advance.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Unlike WM devices, BIS (and even BES) are not designed to provide old emails to the BB. Rather, they are designed to provide new emails starting at the moment of activation. That s how they work. Under BES, there are a few tricks to get some older emails, but not all. Again, that is how they work.
For appointments, how are you synchronizing those? If you are only on BIS, then you are not getting your calendar items OTA anyway -- you must be using tethered sync, for which I believe there are settings you can configure...but I do not know if that provides you with history either.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
These are the instructions to follow:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Got_Your_BlackBerry_Wet%3F
It sounds like you've already powered up without doing all of this. It's important to remember that the outside of the BB is just that...and it matters little in this circumstance. The inside is what matters -- and applying power before the inside is completely dry can totally fry things inside. Nevertheless, there is always a chance...so I suggest you do exactly as that FAQ states. Maybe you will get lucky. But prepare yourself for the worst...with moisture intrusion into a BB, the only thing predictable is that the results will be unpredictable.
    Good luck!

  • A few suggestion from a new BlackBerry 10 user.

Hello everyone. Im a new BlackBerry user and BB Z10 is my first BlackBerry device ever. I moved from Android to BB 10. BlackBerry 10 is a nice OS but some of the basic things are not functioning  correct even after 1 year of release. I will mention some here.
I can type first letter of my message/note etc in small alphabet letters. No matter what i do first letter (after full stop or first letter itself doesnt matter) is typed in full alphabetical letter. thats a big pain and it isn't solved yet.
When you are deleting a written text like you typed a message but you want to delete the first 3 or 4 words and you press and hold the backspace key on your BB 10 keyboad, it deletes the 3 or 4 words but if you dont release the key then it also starts deleting other words as well. well show a video demo if you don't understand what im saying.
there is led light but i don't see much use of it. its only used for notfications and only one light is used Red and there is no built-in led pattern editor. BlackBerry should atleast add a charging and battery full indicator as its very useful and must have one for led notification lights.
File transferring via BB link is toooo much slow. only 300 to 600 kb/s which too much slow. Improve this. I dont know whether its BB link issue or BB 10 issue.
No Built-In backup app. Come on BlackBerry even Asha 200 have a Built in backup manager.
Thats it for now. I will update post when i will find something else. BlackBerry 10 is really a nice OS. Its smooth and Fluid, swipe gestures are great. Im in love with my Z10.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    1. You "can not"?  That's not a bug. Just backspace and type the letter again, and it might require a third try, but it will work. That won't change, it's not a bug, it is intentional.
    2. I understand, you are holding down the backspace key too long. Tap to set your cursor at the end of the words to delete. Swipe ONE finger across the keyboard from right side to left side to delete ONE word. Use two finger swiping right to left to delete TWO words.
    3. There several third-party LED control and notification apps, BeBuzz, Hub++, and others. Check your App World.
    4. Transferring via the USB cable? Doing so over WiFi is quicker in my experience. If you need help with this, please ask.
    5. Link has a built in backup. In the past, Protect would backup over the air, but not on BlackBerry10 OS devices. I use FireChest Backup, for good and varied backup options.
The z10 is a great device, glad to hear you're enjoying it.

  • Can i get a new BlackBerry passport AT&T ?

Hello, I was Zarah, from Hong Kong, the family members are young lawyers and civil servants. I work in a hospital operating room.
From a doctor in the hands, recognizing BlackBerry Q10, since then, I've been looking to get and watch things about the BlackBerry until blackberry passport AT & T's appearance, this is how perfect machine, in security and confidentiality, shape, size, both perfect. Simply can not wait to get it, so I asked my friends to go to the US AT & T to buy a brand new BlackBerry passport, in this process, I simply can not expect to sleep.
Unfortunately, even if I am willing to pay for immediate expenses and no annual contract and the remaining two months of the monthly fee payable to get a brand new and unlocked Blackberry passport AT & T. My friend to help me, the past few days in different places all over the United States, the clerk encountered in AT & T stores are not friendly and not active assistance, or even in the NEW YORK NEW JERSERY alike ... Why is this so? They hate people buy blackberry it?
Even equally in Hong Kong and sales direction and strength significantly substandard.
Really feel very sad, friends say there is no way, told me to stay away from the BlackBerry. Family members disagreed, why bother to get this phone?
In fact, I really hope to be able to help my blackberry to solve this problem, because I really love this BlackBerry, and to the people around the promotion of BlackBerry.
Until now, every one of my friends think around Blackberry was about to fall. I do not agree, do not give up to get the BlackBerry.
Even Finally, BlackBerry does not help me to get a new passport AT & T does not matter, please stick to it, do not give up. Because, you really done a good job! In this phone, hardware, cameras, you could see the rest of the efforts and progress.
I no longer want to return to the Apple and Android. Blackberry Come on!
Now I am going to go to Australia working holiday in April a year, it is unable to personally go to the US to buy Blackberry passport.
Originally planned, there will be blackberry passport to accompany me to go to work, learn and experience different.
In this sorry, as a BlackBerry fans, the phone is not the BlackBerry.

The best thing is to purchase it online from AT&T or purchase in store and have it shipped. The stores probably don't stock them.
Even if you get one you'll need to pay to get it unlocked, too.

  • Restoring data onto new blackberry from Blackberry Protect, last restore was from my stolen Blackberry Style 9670

Help!  My Blackberry Style 9670 (BB OS 6) was stolen.
My data was backed up daily by Blackberry Protect and nowhere else.
Will newer Blackberry Phones be able to access and restore my data from Blackberry Protect, or must I find me a refurbished BB OS 6 phone or?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If your phone is running OS 7 or earlier, you'll be able to access that data backup; BB10 phones cannot restore data from BlackBerry Protect.
    BB10 phones are the Z10, the Z30, the Q10 and the Q5.
    Cheers.

  • New Blackberry user - my BBM is not working! Please help

    Hello,
I've purchased my new blackberry yesterday morning. Then at afternoon I plugged it into the charger and started using.
I sent my new bb pin to my friends and they said they sent me their contact requests to my bbpin but I'm not receiving anything.
I also can't send any pin message. It says "service is blocked" in red.
Please does anyone know why this problem is happening?
    Thanks!!

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
    Good luck.

  • Transfer old blackberry device data to new BlackBerry 10 device, without old blackberry device

    Hello,
I recently bought a new BlackBerry Q10, I had a BlackBerry Bold 9790 running on OS 7 before this and I had backed it up from BlackBerry Desktop Software. I had no knowledge that BlackBerry 10 devices don't work with BlackBerry Desktop Software, so I sold my Bold 9790 and then bought a Q10. I need to recover all the data of my old Bold 9790 to my Q10, but sadly Q10 doesn't work with BlackBerry Desktop Software. If I download BlackBerry Link it will ask me to connect my old device to transfer files.
So basically I need to transfer the backup file of my old phone to the new phone.
    Please help me out. Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

First, the device has been out for over a year and a half.  BlackBerry has put the information out there.  I easily found the information below with a quick Google search that brought up this article, KB33322
While it hasn't yet been updated to reflect the latest update to Link, I made a few minor changes to the instructions to get to the same options in the new version of Link.
Media Files saved on the device internal memory will be transferred if you check the box for "Media files saved on internal memory."  Media files saved under Content Store on the old device will not.
    Here are the instructions:
Connect the BlackBerry 10 smartphone to the computer using the USB cable.
At the left side of the BlackBerry Link screen, click name of the BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
Select Restore Device > Legacy Device Backup Files.
    Select the desired backup file.
Select the data to restore to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone. To restore all supported data, select the Restore all data check box.  To choose the data to restore select Custom Restore.
Note: For a description of the BlackBerry smartphone databases, refer to KB03974.
    Click Restore.

  • New Blackberry Z10 User (Multiple Questions)

    1.  I used to be able to input all my email accounts online.  For example sprint.blackberry.com.  I tried att.blackberry.com; however, it indicates my operating system is no longer supported with my new device.  Does anyone know when this capability will be available for the BB Z10?
    2.  Since I no longer have access to number 1, does anyone know if I can automatically have messages I send from my phone to be forwarded or blind copied back to me?  I need to keep a record of all emails sent.  I found the email signature option - just not the blind bcc option.  This was previously avaialble with the online functionality.
    3.  When using the new Blackberry Link software... does anyone know if I can view all the changes that will be applied to my device?  For example, I used to be able to select get details for confirm calendar edits prior to accepting the synchronization.  This is extremely helpful for me since I bill based on what is in the calendar.  Having the system just place information on my calendar will not allow me to easily find what needs has been added, deleted or changed for billing, etc.  I REALLY NEED THIS FEATURE!  Is there any other way to obtain it?  I tried view the information in the log files; however, it doesn't present the changes in an easy to read format as it used to.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

What you are referring to is a function of BIS, which was required for legacy devices. BIS is not used on BB10 devices...hence, nothing associated with BIS applies to BB10 devices. To specifically answer your question...I believe the answer is never.

Again, that auto-BCC function was provided by BIS, which is not used in BB10. Hence, you must find another method. Typically, the solution is provided by your email server...you would have to talk to that admin to find out if such is available to you.

The LINK software is very different from the legacy BB Desktop Software. What you see is what is available.

  • New Blackberry 10 Sync to Outlook

Most every business is using MS Outlook for their email. I cannot understand for the likes of this, why the Z10 Link software does not offer this very important feature???
When out on the road we take notes and make new email entries. When we get back to the office, it is critical that we have an easy way to get the phone synced up to our email system on the computers. Having to take the time to manually type in the new information in to Outlook is another loss of valuable time when we are rushed to get things done.
I know of a fair number of business associates and also clients who are putting off getting the Z10 because they need this feature. They are doing many emails and taking many notes during their mobile activities. When they get back to the office, it is a quick process to sync their present BB phone with Outlook and get their work done.
I cannot understand who would think of leaving out such an important feature!
I remember when the Playbook came out there was no built in email client or spell corrector. It was bug riddled in many aspects on top of this. Because of this RIM lost out on big potential sales. The early versions of the Playbook were useless to non Blackberry users, because the only practical way to get email done was with using the Bridge mode.
Now they came out with a top qualtiy high tech business phone, and there is no local email sync capability to one of the world's most popular email programs. This is like throwing a crowbar in to the works!  Also having sync capability to Thunderbird is another big plus to have done.
    Jerry G.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Last evening I spent about 2 hours cleaning up my 1500 contacts in Microsoft Outlook 2010, ensuring, numbers were inputed correctly, deleting older contacts, adding new ones.  Making sure my calendar was updated, and also my notes.  I was preparing for my Z10 that I picked up this morning.
Perhaps it was an oversight on my part, perhaps I assumed that since Blackberry Desktop has synced my desktop Outlook for the past 10 years that it'd be no different with the Z10.
    Was I ever wrong.
I thought I downloaded the wrong software  with the BB10 Link, but I looked again, and I looked everywhere in the softawre.  I was nearly going out of my mind until I did a few google search, and there are literally hundreds of posts in the last few weeks regarding this no sync issue.  I guess I wasn't the only one who found out the hard way.
I love the device, it's quite awesome.  The internet is fast.  It's well designed.  I'm not crazy about how the new BBM works since I like seeing all the BBM contacts in a window rather than only seeing them in contacts or when I click on create new message.  But I could live with all of that.
I am not about to export my contacts into a CVS file, then upload them to my GMail account and then have it synced with my new Blackberry.
There are millions of users who use the desktop software to sync.  I agree with the OP, how could this be that big of an over sight for users at RIM?
At the end of the day, I switched back to my BOLD 9900 and have returned the Z10.  Despite every great aspect of it, the syncing option was definitely a make it or break it for me to use the new phone.  I already carry an iPhone around as my multimedia phone, so not having all that extra jazz on my Bold sucked, but at least it worked as my primary phone for business.
This seriously a collossal over sight - Blackberry - Please fix it!
