That should work the same way. However, you might want to check "Unsorted Bookmarks" to see whether they are in there. This can be found at the bottom of the Bookmarks Sidebar (Ctrl+b to open).

Unknown PC icon showing up in the shared drop down menu - a hacker?

There is an unknown PC "kirkshp" showing up in the shared drop down menu, that makes me worried. I have shut off my bluetooth, and airport connection for now but would like to know how this PC is connecting and how to eliminate this in the future.
Have seen many posts with this problem, but not a comparable situation as I don't even have wireless router in house - I am hooked in via ethernet but use airport when out of my studio.
Just want a simple, if temporary solution until I can learn more about network security - any wisdom out there? I would so appreciate it, thanks!

I think by Shared you mean the Shared Section in the Finder Window's Sidebar. If that's the case what you're seeing is probably because
(1) either you've joined an unsecured wireless network or
(2) your wireless network is unsecured and that person has joined your network
(3) both of you are using a freely available public wireless network
(4) your network is secured but has a weak password
(5) your network is secured with a password which has been broken
(6) your network is secured but you've given the user you're seeing the password
If (4) and (5) is the case change the password. If (6) perhaps you've forgetten? Perhaps the PC you're 'seeing' is named in a way you don't recognize as the person you gave the password to?
If (2) force users to require a password to join your network or disable the option that broadcasts your wireless network's name. That way no-one 'sees' your wireless network 'announcing' itself as such. The only way to join the network would be to manually enter its name which you would have to know in the first place. You do this using your gateway/router's web interface. Assuming your gateway/router supports this option?
If (1) you're probably looking at the person's PC whom the network belongs to.
As long as you don't enable Personal File Sharing, unrestricted SSH access or VNC then at best all they can do is 'see' another PC that happens to be connected to the same network. If you have enabled Personal File Sharing 'beef' up your passwords and begin to restrict which user/account is allowed access to Public Folders. Can you actually connect to that PC? Or is all you can do is 'see' it?
I actually don't see any of this as a 'problem'. For me this is how this part of the OS is supposed to work. Macs announce/broadcast themselves on P2P Networks using a variety of protocols - Bonjour/Rendezvous, NetBios etc. PCs do something similar. You may also find the PC that you can 'see' is not actually a PC but a Router/Gateway/Firewall. Some Thompson Gateways for example broadcast themselves as a 'PC'.

DSN's Missing in the ODBC drop down list box

Being new to JDeveloper, I have been running through the
tutorials. I have installed Oracle lite on NT4 SP3 and have
tested out the sample data base 'Polite' using the installed
odbc driver through MS query ...all works fine, however in
tutorial 3 while trying to add the Data Form using Oracle Lite
driver, no dsn's appear on the next screen of the wizard when I
click on the 'ODBC drop down list box'. How do I get Jdeveloper
to bring up the DSN's. I have also tried the 'Sun JDBC-ODBC
driver' route, yet still there is not a single DSN in the drop
down list box.

According to your description, since this is SQL Server forum, as Olaf Helper’s post, could you get the correct result if you execute the following query in SQL Server Manager Studio (SSMS)?
select UserName from aspnet_Users where UserId in(select FreindId from myFreinds where UserId in(select UserId from aspnet_Users where UserName = '<your typed name>'))
If you cannot get the correct result in SSMS, I recommend to check the Transact-SQL statement. Apart from the error message, we also need to know the table structure, data, join relationships between tables for further analysis.

What does the Data Drop-down List do? Is it used to make a drop-down list from certain records in a column in a table of a data base?

Yes, this is exactly what it does. However, it's a custom control, not a built-in control. JavaScript is used to set it up. In order to use it you have to have a data connection in the document and modify the "Initialize" script, which is were the list is populated from the DB. The "Initialize" code is a good example of how to use XFA JavaScript to access a DB. However, the code is also written in a very general manor and takes the long way around to hooking up to the DB. Much shorter code can be written for a specific DB.

Unless a good explanation appears, you may start onthe list below.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

How to show first parameter value in drop down list as a default value dynamically in ssrs report?

in my ssrs report i have two parameters, accounts and Manager ,there is a cascading between the accounts parameter and manager parameter, as per the cascading we will get managers names based on the account we selected in the accounts parameter,
my requirement is the first name in the mangers drop down list has to get selected as default value.
please help me with this, it is an urgent requirement.

According to your description, you want to use cascading parameters in the report, if the accounts are selected when you preview the report, the first manager name will be selected from drop down list as the default value. If so, there can be two scenarios:
• If manager is single-valued parameter, we can get Available Values and Default Values from the same query as below. Then when the accounts are selected, the first manager name will be selected as default value.
SELECT managerName FROM table_name WHERE accounts IN (@accounts)
• If manager is multi-valued parameter, we need to use different query for Available Values and Default Values. In this case, please refer to Patrick’s solution.

On Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2, when you use the Search for Group Policy Objects feature in GPMC, the “Value” field is not populated when you choose “User Configuration” as the Search Item. (See Figure 1.)

Cause
The happens because the Data of the (Default) value of the following Registry Key is not correct.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions\{4D2F9B6F-1E52-4711-A382-6A8B1A003DE6}]
By default the Data is (value not set). (see Figure 2)

Resolution
The registry keys under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions] are the Group Policy Preference Client Side Extensions. The CSE name of the GUID {4D2F9B6F-1E52-4711-A382-6A8B1A003DE6} is
RemoteApp and Desktop Connections. Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
1. Locate the registry key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions\{4D2F9B6F-1E52-4711-A382-6A8B1A003DE6}]
2. Take the ownership of this key: Right click on the registry key and choose Permissions option and click the Advanced button on the dialogue window. Then on the Advanced Security Settings dialogue window, click Change button to take the ownership
of the key for the current logon account and make the current logon account Full Control permission with the registry key. (See Figure 3.)

The bookmarks haven't been deleted. I've tried turning the bookmark bond on and off. Unfortunately it didn't work.

Is this about bookmarks on the Bookmarks Toolbar?
Make sure that toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.

How do I get out of "full screen" view. When I put my crusor at the top of the screen I get SOME menus showing, but nothe the "firefox" drop-down where I selected full screed (I was just trying to zoom out, actually)

I think the question pretty well summed it up. I selected full screen mode from the "firefox" drop-down box at the top left, but once in full screen mode, the drop-down box is not available. How do I get back to the standard view??

Press the F11 key to toggle into and out of full screen mode.
Or, move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen and right-click the "+" (new tab) button, or in a blank area of the tab bar, or in a blank area after the address box, and exit full screen mode from the context menu.

The Scottrade web sight requires an account number as well as a password to log in. I inadvertently typed in an incorrect number and would like to eliminate it from the 'remembered' accounts. My only solution seems to be to turn off Remember Search and Form Entry but that impacts the correct account numbers and all other web sites as well.

When exporting from Elements to Revel, only "Library" shows in the Revel drop-down list.

I am having difficulties in exporting images from Elements 11 to Revel.
If I use the recommended procedure (i.e. clicking on File and then Export to Adobe Revel) the captions on the images are not exported.
Even if I use that method for an album that has no image captions, only "Library" displays in the drop-down list and not individual albums.
Is the only way to address these problems to buy Elements 12?

Unfortunately I am still experiencing various problems and I don't know whether the difficulties lie with PSE11 or with Revel. My aim is to export albums from PSE 11 on my PC to an iPad Air. The process is very hit and miss. Having done further research, it now seems that my operating systen (Windows 7) may not be compatible with Revel. If that is the case, there would be no point in upgrading from PSE11 to version 12. Are you able to comment?

Drop-down lists: how to avoid entering long item lists by hand

I am very new to LiveCycle Designer. I want to create a form containing several drop-down lists. Each of them have a relatively long (up to 30-40) list of pre-defined items that can be selected at filling time. Those lists, btw, can also change from time to time.
My question is: how can I avoid entering by hand those long list of items?
I have seen from the online help that LiveCycle Designer supports a "binding" mechanims that should allow me to load those item lists from an "example XML" file. I have done several tests, but never succeded. I just do not what XML fields should be used. For instance, I have named a drop-down lists as "List1", then tried to feed an XML file like the following:
This and other similar attemps just cause LiveCycle Designer to cough and show error messages.
Someone is willing to show me how to do the job?
