New-bought mbp 13' got error in Hardware testing

Today I' m so excited to take my first macbook pro home, start to be familiar with it very quickly, and enjoyed it.
No problem found, but just curiously lauched the Apple Hardware Testing by pressing D when restarting.
Ooops, one error hit me and upset me.
" 4SNS/1/C0000008: TPCD--124 ".
I tried to google it but only found similiar errors which're related to sensor or tempreture problem.
And, now, who could help and tell me what's wrong with my NEW-BOUGHT machine?

Why not return it to the store?
A little googling tells me that it is a temperature sensor error, returning to the store is the only sensible move for a day old machine,

New bought MBP retina got slightly misaligned

To whom may concern this,
I ordered my first Macbook pro 15" retina on Aug 12th 2014 as a new semester gift for myself. It was a certified refurbished one but $1899 was still a financial burden to me. So I treated it like a newborn baby. I received it by picking it up from New Hampshire Apple center. It worked perfectly for me as far with the only thing that annoyed me a bit was that the screen is like slight-yet-still-visible-and-sensible mis-allignment with the body. It was misaligned right side.
I then Googled to see if this is a small-probility stuff or it is common. But out of my surprise, just type "unibody macbook pro retina misaligned" I got tons of posts talking exactly the same thing. What's more, from what I've found out, they seem to be the same: right sided misaligned. The difference might be a millimeter something. It was annoying.
I live and study in URI, Rhode Island, but currently I was doing a quick trip in Honolulu, Hawaii. I wonder is there any possibility to get the problem fixed. I got so overloaded by computer work this semester, and ironically, I had some symetry-design simulation work to do. So you could guess how I was feeling when I found this asymmetry problem.
My mac model is MacBook Pro with Retina display (early 2013), currently it is running OS X Mavericks.

Thank you very much! I did make a reservation in Royal Hawaii Apple Center. A Genius Bar employee told me they could do adjustment by opening the machine and do some mechanical work inside. I will drop off the macbook today and see what happens next

2002D error message hardware test

I would do Pram and Smc reset
With the pram try several times to get the correct sequence.
It looks like that error is apple.com related perhaps one of their servers are down.
Internet issue perhaps
Be sure to disconnect any external devices, printers, hard drives, scanners, and so on (other than the Apple keyboard and mouse) from your Apple computer before starting up to Apple Hardware Test and running the diagnostic.

2011 MBP 17" won't boot Hardware Test

My MacBook Pro is acting strangely lately. When I close the lid, sometimes it doesn't go to sleep. Also, when I shut it down via the menu system, it will go to a blue screen and just hang there for 30-60 seconds before shutting off. Sometimes it just goes to that blue screen while doing random tasks.
Almost every time I'm hooked up via Thunderbolt->HDMI, when I unplug the cable (disconnect from TV), the computer goes to a blue screen.
I'm trying to run the Hardware Test, but right when that OS9 menu comes up, the computer shuts down instantly. I've tried holding F2 while booting as well as holding 'D' while booting (with USB OSX 10.6.7 Install DVD inserted). No dice with either one.
I'm running 10.6.8 with 16GB of SuperTalent RAM. I have a 120GB Intel 320 SSD in the optical bay and the stock 750GB  HDD in the stock position.
Is my laptop now a dud that needs replacing?

Actually, I might have solved my problem. The last time I set this laptop up, I had directly copied my SSD to another HDD. When I put the SSD back in, I copied it back from Disk Utility on the boot up disk, again. That's right around when all of my problems started.
To solve it, I did a Time Machine backup, put in the install USB and formatted the drive (one-pass zeroed-out, to be exact), and re-installed 10.6.7. I updated it to 10.6.8, then used migration assistant to pull my documents/apps back onto the drive.
Since then, everything has been working very well. The screen has only turned blue once (in about a month), and it was only briefly. I haven't tried to run a hardware test from the install USB, but I'll do that soon to see if it works now.
I also took it into an Apple Certified Technician store before fixing the SSD issue, and they could find nothing with the hardware test they ran on it.
TL;DR = do a fresh install and then bring your files back.

Bought HD Movie got error (-50) and got only the normal Movie, what is to do?

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

MBP hardware test

What is the problem of my MBP? I cannot make hardware test even I'm pressing key "D" during startup.

It depends on what OS you are running and your model
New MacBooks can access HardWareTest by rebooting holding the D key, no disk required.

Boot off your Install Disk while holding down the D key, (not c key), then run the extended Apple Hardware Test. Some disks require you to use the Option key at bootup to select AHT. Some models have a separate AHT CD.

No hardware test among over problems

My airport card disappeared a few months ago after an update and i haven't been able to discover why the computer doesn't reconise it.
I was told to use the Hardware test function but alas that won't work at all. If i hold my finger down on the option key it starts up normally but if i hold down C it seems to boot from the Disc like it is supposed to. I am totally perplexed why it ignores that too.
Any suggestions to how i can get my airport card running again and maybe an alternative way to sort my Hardware test out.

Which airport card do you have? Is it the one that is under the keyboard, or is it the one that is attached to the logic board?
As for the Apple Hardware Test, you have to boot off of the disc which contains the AHT, which is one of the original discs that came with your computer. Are you inserting the disc and booting from it, or are you just trying to start up by holding down "C"? Sorry, but it wasn't entirely clear to me just what you were doing that didn't work.
If your AHT disc isn't working, you can download the AHT and burn a new disc and try that.

New MBP: unrepeatable hardware test error + warped trackpad button

Hi all. After much soul searching I bought a MBP Friday ($$$), started it, created an account, etc. Then found out about the hardware test, so restarted from the install disk 1, held 'D', and ran the basic test. Unhappily, I got this error:
4SNS/1/40000000:TGOD-85.500
Crap.
Of course re-running it multiple times, running the extended test multiple times, and with looping has not recreated it. That said, I am not happy with the error having shown even once, and I'm planning on returning it tomorrow. Research here shows a few others have seen it.
Adding insult to injury, the trackpad button is warped somewhat into a "U" shape on the left and right. Pressing it down has some slop: it moves down a bit before encountering resistance. Research shows this is not uncommon.
These two factors make me extremely uncomfortable with this unit. Any similar experiences with out-of-the-box machines? Ugh.

The failure message comes from a thermal/temperature sensor ... and the trackpad button warping sounds like poor construction ...
Take it back and demand a new one

2007 MBP freezes, Ran hardware test got error code 4MEM/11/40000000:505c99b0 Help?

Hi all, my 2007 MBP freezes and requires me to hold power button to restart. It's happening somewhat frequently. ( installed new SSD and new battery in the last 2 months)
I ran the quick hardware test ( am running the extended one now) and recieve the following error code 4MEM/11/40000000:505c99b0
Hoped to squeeze another year or two out of this old warrior. Any ideas what this code might be?

This is a memory error of some sort. We don't have the Rosetta stone for these errors, so I don't know what the rest means.

It's just perfect, I have no problems with it.
On a whim, I ran the quick Apple Hardware Test using the included USB install drive (took just a few minutes) and it came up with this:

Apple Hardware Test error 4SNS/1/40000001:ID0R-0.000 on Retina MBP

Getting the above error on my 3-day old retina MBP with 16gb RAM and 768GB flash storage. I had loaded Chrome, Firefox, VMWare Fusion, Office 2011, and all the Apple updates as of 7/3/12.
My issue may be related to similar issues I've seen on these boards, relating to sleep or wakeup causing the intermittent crash. Machine has also crashed (kernel panic) 2 times. Genius Bar employee downplayed the AHT altogether, saying it's a false positive since his more advanced tool reported no errors. They then kept it for a day, to run a "loop test," which also came back with no errors. Then, because apparently it is easier to re-load the OS rather than actually diagnose the issue, they re-loaded my OS clean. (Yay, now I can re-load all my apps, copy 200GB data back on, and THEN we'll see that it is a hardware problem.)
Tomorrow I'll pick it up from Apple and run the AHT again. If it errors out again, I'm not sure what to do...

One note I had neglected to mention is that the bar/band immediately above the keyboard gets very, very hot. Yes, I know that is where the fans are. However, all 12 of the MBP's at the Apple store did not have this extra-hot band, and those are on all day. My little Safari & Mail apps should not cause an overheat situation, on a functioning machine. Apple blamed Google Chrome for the crashes, downplayed the overheating, and downplayed the AHT results.
Update: I went to the Apple store today and took a look at the notebook. They ran their tests, had re-loaded the OS, and performed an undisclosed hardware repair. (They were helpful but vague as to what the actually did on the machine, hardware-wise.) They said their advanced tools & extended Loop Test did not indicate any errors or problems. While still at the store, I ran another quick test with the Apple Hardware Test, which came back with the same 4SNS error as mentioned above. I asked for a refund, which they approved (except they said I have to come back Monday since I bought the machine from Apple Business.)
When I got home, I ran an extended test with the Apple Hardware Test and got a *diffferent* error this time: 4HDD/11/40000000:SATA(0,0).
It's seems strange to me that the AHT shows 2 different errors, and yet the Genius' "advanced " tools find no errors. Thankfully, I will return this one (eventually) get a new unit. Thanks to everyone for helping. --Peter

Ram related kernel panics on a MBP (ram used to work, hardware errors-)

i have a 2.2GHZ intel core duo 2007 MBP, which once ran Tiger and is now running 10.6.3
I had the NVDIA graphic card break down associated with such models, and it was replaced thanks to the extended care plan, here in Paris, so the logicboard is new- I also got a (technician installed) new HDD, and snowleopard
I originally had the 2 1Gig ram, but 1st got an extra 2Gb of danelec ram, and finally another 2GB- it ran fine for a couple year or so-
then, a few months back I recently started getting kernel panics, on tiger- I fist thought they were HDD related, got a new drive installed by a technician, switched to snow leopard-
yet they continue, and they're apparently RAM related, yet what is odd is that they can be reproduced with any RAM combination involving 2 sticks- the original apple 1Gb + any of the two GB ram sticks, the 2GB ram sticks together in any slot-- it's all the same, the screen goes grey and i'm told to shut down the computer
with one ram stick it works, this avoids the issue- but not always
i've moved the ram around, checked the slots, reset the PRAM,yet the issue is still there.
now i know that I should be using paired ram, and will do so in the next coming months when I can afford it- yet what has happened to make the make the MBP seemingly refuse two sticks of RAM when it didn't before ? are the two sticks dead ? or is there an issue with the slot ?
I'd also need to know that this is not a logicboard issue if it's possible- the logic board was changed due to the NVDIA bug, so it's a year old or so-
I'm running it on the 2GB danelec as I type, no issue, the samsung ram works as well, and so does the 1GB apple ram, in any slot, yet two slots of ram causes the kernel panic crash- the area near the ram slot also seems to get very hot-
I ran the hardware test yesterday, booting from the tiger dvd, which was difficult (possible drive issue)

looking the errors up online didn't give anything so far, any clue as to what might be wrong here ? the RAM used to work fine (i've been using these two sticks for over two years), the kernel panics started happening on tiger- got a new HD drive a month ago, installed snow leopard, - used disk warrior and disk utilities, reset the PRAM and did the other tests and it continues- wether i'm running the computer from the internal drive or an external firewire drive-
running the hardware test, i also got two error messages, but on some passes only
if i look into the RAM status through about this mac, it says it's ok - what's odd is that the hardware test found errors, but not systematically----- I'd really like to know what the error message mean, can anyone help ?
i'm getting more and more kernel panics, unfortunately i live in France, so things are slightly less simple than they would be in other places customer servicewise- ie it might not be as simple as showing up at the new apple stores with this 2007 machine--
I need a stable machine to work on and really can't afford repairs at the moment
i'm really stuck with this, my finances got sucked into the last HDD upgrade (got it done by an official apple retailer, ICLG here in Paris, cost me 300 euros), and I thought things would be stable for a while since the logic board was changed (free of charge, which was a great relief) less than a year ago due to the nvdia bug- and now here I am with this--

You can buy and install the hard drive you want to. However, on Late 2009 and newer iMacs the temperature sensor is in the hard drive, so if you replace it with a hard drive that has not got a temperature sensor you will have serious fan problems.

Got a Screen named hardware teste and a error msg

I was playing World of Warcraft,
i went to sleep, turned the MBP off,
when i woke up, i turned it on, a diffrent screen apeare named "Hardware Test"
and give me an error MSG:
4SNS/1/40000000:TGOD-86.500
what that means?
what should i do ?

Call applecare or take it into an apple store. I got the same error message once, but without the 86.500 part, and ended up having to get my logic board replaced. Only those at apple know exactly what the error codes stand for though, so best to get in contact with them, and I would back up any important data just in case.
