New bridge issues

i downloaded the new bb bridge update now my playbook will not connect with my torch anymore .. any ideas on how to fix this

There isn't a new Bridge CC to install via the CC menu app today? Mac 10.8.5 Bridge CC 6.0.1.6

New applications available today for PS CC 2014, AI CC 2014 etc. but no new Bridge application to install? I installed the PS 2014 version but I just checked the Bridge version that is installed and it is 6.0.1.6.
The CC menu "Apps" tab say that Bridge CC is up to date, shouldn't it be version 6.1 bit 6.0.1 ?

Looking from the many users complaining, I am a bit scared whether should i proceed update to ios 8.0.2 to my ipad 2 or not? Does any one know news whether issues will be really fixed or should i stay on version 7 only?

Ipad Air dead after installing IOS 8.0.2
I have just downloaded and installed this version of IOS on my Ipad Air and it is DEAD.
It won't start up.
When I connect my Ipad to my MacbookPro, Itunes tells me the following:
"iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes."
What now? restore? try to remove 8.0.2?

I tried doing a search, but it's so hard to tell if they might be in AS2, or AS3, and if they would apply to newer versions of Adobe Flash (I have CS5)

Bridge CS6 Photo Dowloader opens new Bridge Window

I use Photo Downloader from with Bridge CS6.
Each time a download is completed, a new Bridge window opens.
Is there a simple way to stop this from happening?

Consider resetting Bridge Preferences.
Close Bridge
Cmd+Opt+Shift held down, Open Bridge.
Choose Reset Preferences

New Bridge update-1.0.6.5

Just received my new bridge update and notice a subtle but effective change to bridge email. The "send" and message options buttons now appear on the side of the message box when replying etc instead of having to scroll down from the top. Great add on. I also noticed recently (not because of this update) that "some" and i mean some words are gettting auto corrected that weren't before. Mostly things like Im (I'm) and doesnt (doesn't) that i remeber not working before. Anyone else notice this?

my words were auto corrected in BBM, did not try it in email yet.
have to get me some play time this weekend

New format issues

Hi,
I guess these might be issues with incomplete migration to the new format but I'll post them here nevertheless:
Incorrect post count - The "total number of posts" in the user information seems to reflect the total number of posts online at the time of the transition instead of total number of posts to date
Joined date changed - the "date joined" in the user info seems to have changed for me - no biggy but this might point to other problems
Incorrect migration of old formats - the old discussions had the editor shortcuts "ii " at the beginning of a new line to create italic text - all these post now display "i " at the start of such lines (with the text not being in bold)
Level info missing - according to the help file, a user should be able to see his/her level per topic as well as overall - I was not able to find this information at all
But then, I am happy to see that you are keeping to make improvements to this forum and I thank all of you for your work - I am especially happy about the new "Preview" button for new messages!

Email Notification do not use subject of topic -
In old system the email notifications showed for example "New Formatting issues", or "Re: New Formatting issues". On new system email notifications so as example:"Apple Discussions forum "Feedback about New Discussions" has been updated by Andreas Amann", or "Apple Discussions forum "Feedback about New Discussions" has been updated by John Smith", and so on. Makes it impossible to thread post by topics because all notifications only change if the post is from another group.

BBM 6 from Beta Zone - playbook crashes with new bridge

Hi am actually using bbm 6 available from the beta zone, but ever since ive downloaded the new bridge, when ever i try to open bbm on my playbook it keeps crashing, like i would have to tap bbm atleast 3 to 4 times to get it up and going, i uninstalled bbm 6 off of my phone and tried using the latest bbm 5 but when i tried running it on my playbook it says its missing some plugging. My question though, is this a known bug in the new bridge or is this a known bug in the latest update we received, is anyone even hqving this problem? Please help me out here cause this is pretty annoying, all other bridge apps work but bbm is the only one thats acting beyond weird.

Creating new Bridge Group names in Cisco 5508 WLC??

How do we Create new Bridge Group names on Cisco 5508 WLC, with 1552E Access Point??

You create it on the 1552 once the AP joins. One it joins, you will have to choose that AP and then set the AP mode to Bridge and then apply. This will reboot the AP. Once the AP comes back, you will have a MESH tab on that specific AP or any AP that you have set to Bridge mode. You then set the AP role and the bridge group name there. Thanks RIM for releasing a new Bridge App and new BBM tonight. I now have BBM on my Playbook and you're starting to restore my confidence again.

Just downloaded new Bridge v 1.0.0.83 onto my 8530 curve, it never did show up on app world. I found a link at Berryreview.com to download OS 5 version and it download fine onto my phone. After I restarted my phone I restarted my PB and BAM, there was BBM with all my contacts including their photo's that I have on my phone. YES

O.T. New Bridge

Saw a component of an amazing construction project today. A new river crossing for highway I-195 relocation is under way. They constructed the new bridge at the old Quonset naval base, then loaded it on to 2 barges, and moved it with 4 tugboats up Narragansett Bay, a distance of about 12 miles. Tomorrow they will lower it on to the cement piers. One can see one on the left. To those of you who may be familiar with this area, the rectangular building off to the right is one of the Brown University libraries.

This bridge construction technology is, perhaps, more profound. I was lucky to get the picture from a distant pier. The Coast Guard kept boats at a safe distance during the move. As for the picture, I used a levels adjustment layer, then selected the bridge with the magnetic lasso tool and put it on its own layer. I increased the contrast of the bridge. Next, I applied a photo filter warming adjustment layer, then inserted a couple of clouds, as the day was overcast. It still did not look right, but a gradient adjustment layer came in handy to provide a touch of blue to the sky and water. Finally, I sharpened as the last step.
I have several of the books associated with Elements, but many of the hands-on tips find their way on to this forum, and I should like to thank the many contributors.

Sandy Bridge processors in new iMacs issues.

Does anyone know if any of the faulty Sandy Bridge processors which were produced at the start of the year made it into this iMac refresh? Or did Apple wait until the updated versions were produced before using them in their macs? By updated versions I mean the completely non faulty new versions of the chips not the ones that went back to intel and they just patched them up before sending them back out to vendors.
I am in the market for a 27" i7 iMac upgrade but this is the only issue stopping me from buying one straight away. I was thinking of leaving it a few weeks for the initial stock which may contain these faulty chips to sell through then hopefully get an iMac from a newer batch.

I'm sure it's pretty safe to say there are no issues with the current crop of Sandy Bridge procs in the 2011 refresh. Apple would make sure they'd cleared up any problems before rolling out the new iMacs, and If I recall correctly, Intel resumed shipping the corrected chips back in mid February. You should be fine.

AIR Application Sandbox Bridge Issue

I am having an issue accessing the sandbox bridge from my application core page.
The only thing I think it might be is I am using ajax for a login procedure so it might bolo it because of that.
if anyone has any ideas I could use a fresh pair of eyes,
If I strip it and create a new basic client I can get the sandbox bridge to work and launch the internet explorer , but with this client it won't

I have tried running another command and it still doesn't run the external URL function, just if it runs my no login command via the sandbox bridge,
and it is a simple command
here is the javascript it is running on the nologin.

Blackberry Bridge issues after update

New to the forum and need help!
I have a Torch 9810 and PlayBook
Torch 9810 7.1 bundle 2061
Blackberry Bridge 2.1.0.26
PlayBook OS 2.1.0.1088
BES is used
The Bridge connects to the PlayBook and will allow remote control and bridge browser to be used. However, although the email, text and BBM alert icons appear on the PlayBook they cannot be opened. The Bridge contacts and calender will also not open on the Playbook.
When attempting to open Text messages on the PlayBook the notice "Text Messages was disabled by IT policy" is displayed. There is no IT Policy in place.
When attempting to open BBM on the PlayBook the notice "You must accept the BlackBerry Messenger Licence Agreement on your smartphone to use BBM on your PlayBook". It has been accepted on the phone.
I've tried unpairing, rebooting both devices and repairing to no avail.
Any ideas appreciated

Contrary to your belief, there is indeed an IT Policy on the BB...the error message is quite clear on that point. While it is possible to check for an IT Policy via this procedure:
KB30076 How to check for an IT Policy on a BlackBerry smartphone
it is also possible for there to be a "stealth" IT Policy, which gives no hint of its existence save for those error messages. If your BB truly is not now associated with any BES system, then there are procedures you can follow to cleanse it of the latent IT Policy (which could be there as a result of, sometime in its life, the BB being associated with BES...but not being properly cleansed when it was removed from BES...it's not an automatic process to remove the IT Policy). On the other hand, if your BB is associated with BES, then you need to talk to your BES admins for assistance as they control everything.
To cleanse your BB, first take a full backup:

Next, take a manual inventory of all of your add-on apps, license keys, etc...this process will return your BB to a NIB state, and you will have to reinstall everything from scratch (and, before you ask, no there is no other way).
Next, conduct this process:

Now, get your BB properly running on your carrier network, by conducting the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Next, do a SELECTIVE restore from the backup you took earlier...do not do a wholesale restore, if you do, you will restore the offending IT Policy and be right back where you started. Skip over any databases that are not critical, especially those that have anything at all to do with IT Policy:

Now, reinstall all of your apps, reapply those license keys, and reconfigure to your preferred settings. With all of that, you should be cleansed of the IT Policy and should be able to perform the things you desire.

Bluetooth/Bridge Issues!

I am having issues trying to set up the bridge on my playbook. I have had the playbook for a year and just got a Z10. So in trying to set it up I have found that the bluetooth will not connect. I switch it to on and it switches right back to off. Also when I am in the set up page and have to the page where there should be a code to scan, there is no code. I have just done a wipe, so I am left with nothing, and still the same. Now I am back to square one. Thrilled!
I love my playbook. So far I am thrilled with my new phone. But am really frustrated that I cannot get them together as I thought I would.
Is there something I am missing or is it just not possible to link the two together yet?
