New BT email portal - do I need to change anything...

Hi there, I look after the computers and internet connections for two elderly relatives. They have BT Broadband on XP laptops and download their emails via OE (POP3), and post by SMTP. They don't use webmail. They have received 'warning' emails from BT about the change to the email portal. Do they (I) need to do anything to ensure they continue to receive their emails?

Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

The ID is a text string taking the form of an email address - it doesn't have to be a functioning email address: but you should go to http://appleid.apple.com and make sure that the email address associated with it is functioning so that you can be contacted if necessary. Of course You can also add your iPhone telephone # as a trusted device.
This way when you insert your SIM card into any phone, Apple will automatically recognize your cell phone # as a
trusted device (may be handy if iphone breaks but you insert SIM card into another phone).
HOWEVER:
Having also your iPhone as a trusted device, is convenient if you travel and use a different SIM card
at destination. This way you can still use the iphone for verification, even though you are using a different
phone #.

You posted in the OS 9 & below forum. What OS X version are you using? What model Canon printer? Canon printers have a test print capability (open the Printer Utility). What happens when you do a test print? Are all the printer cartridges in their proper location? Sometimes when you print "black", the printer uses a mixture of the colors to get "black". In the Printer Utility, check the levels of the other cartridges. There may be one color that is clogged.

There isn't a phone number for iTunes Support.
If you mean that the address is your rescue email address then follow the steps half-way down this page for changing it http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 :
Navigate to appleid.apple.com using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
After you've validated your identity by correctly answering your security questions, click Edit to the right of your rescue email address.
Once you've finished editing your rescue email address, click the Save button directly below the email field.
You can then try using it as your primary email address on your account (you may need to log out and back in after removing it as your rescue email address).

You can use whatever width you want but you have to remember that the most important thing is that it can be read easily in both portrait and landscape modes. As I said above 960px is fine. If you have access to a tablet then I would recommend playing around with the width to see what looks best for your particular site. I think 1200px might be pushing it but again it all depends on your layout and content.

It's a program that transfers music from iPod to iTunes on a Mac.
It should work with a Windows formatted iPod because Macs can read and write to FAT32 formatted drives.
Once the songs are safely on the Mac, if are no longer going to use the iPod on a Windows PC you can reformat the iPod for Mac use by restoring it.

I would contact Apple under your warranty. I doubt you received a new iPod since Apple's policy is to give you a refurbished iPod.

New BT Email

This has now developed into a dreadful system. there are more problems than I care to list but in particular the "contact us" menus appear to be designed to prevent people actually recording their complaints.
I have registered here purely to publicise that fact. There seems to be virtually no other way to bring about a response and I suspect that this one will be no different.
I have now managed to persuade 8 (eight) people not to join BT. That is the only reason I am remaining or until they do something about the masses of issues with their "new improved" system.

Perhaps if you could explain what the problem is somebody might be able to help.

Are you using webmail or an email client?
If you have been migrated from BTYahoo to BTMail did you follow the process about setting up your BTID and BTMail?
If you are not happy with BT email you do not need to change Internet Providers to change your email. You could set up a free email address with Yahoo, gmail or Microsoft Outlook and not use BT email at all.
