New Business Area Not Found

I successfully created new business area in Administration Edition , but in desktop edition while creating a new file for same user, the available list remains empty. Please help me, I am new to this.
Thanks
DSD

Hi DSD,
It sounds like a security / privilege issue to me. You could try the following:
1.) In Discoverer Admin can you confirm that the person and responsibility you are logging into Desktop with, has been given access to the Business Area in Tools>Security.
2.) In Discoverer Admin could you also check in Tools>Privileges to ensure that that the Desktop user has ‘User Edition’ selected.
3.) If you have more than one End User Layer (EUL) then it could be that you are logging into the wrong one. In Desktop click Tools>Options>EUL and ensure there aren’t more that two in the list. If there are select the correct one that you want to connect in as. Log out of Desktop and then back in again.
For more information in Security and Privileges read one of Oracle Guides.

Hope this helps,

  • New movies are not found when connecting to my camera

    Hi,
I Use a Sony HDR XR550VE. After soem time of happy use of iMovie, it now no longer discovers new clips at import.
Hooking it up to iMovie and importing new clips has working fine in the beginning untill the point at which I deleted the camera's harddrive content (using the camera's commands), and started making a really long movie (over 6 hrs). THat did not import very well: half of it wasn't discovered via the iMovie import dialogue. Since then, new movies I've shot are not discovered anymore and can't be imported. Accessing the drive directly via the "Import films" option allows me to drill all the way down to the AVCHD-mts source file, but are displayed grayed out and can't be selected to be imported.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Jeronias

    Hi Jeronias,
Sorry to hear that things have gone a bit pear-shaped for you again.
You may have already tried this, but deleting iMovie's preference file sometimes helps when iMovie is not working as it should. The file can become corrupted in some circumstances, such as when iMovie quits unexpectedly or is "Force Quit".
Close iMovie then, in Finder, navigate to the file named "com.apple.iMovieApp.plist" in your User (Home)>Library>Preferences folder. Drag the .plist file to the Trash. When next opened iMovie will create a fresh file with the default settings, which you can change if desired in iMovie's menu item iMovie>Preferences.
Hopefully, that may get things back to normal.
I'm interested in the procedure you are using (or attempting to use) to import your video into iMovie. I have a similar camcorder, the Sony HDR-SR7, which records AVCHD video to a 60 Gb hard drive. Your model, of course, has a 240 GB hard drive and also records to Memory Stick and SD/SDHC cards.
When I connect my camera via USB and turn it on, a dialogue appears on the LCD touch screen. I then have to touch the hard drive icon in order for the camera to be recognized by my MacBook Pro. With iMovie open, it takes a couple of minutes (maybe less) before the import screen appears. Is this the way you normally go about importing your footage? Of course, you will have 2 import sources - the hard drive and/or a memory card.
Have you tried importing from a memory card using a card reader, rather than connecting the camera? If this works, then the import problem is isolated to the camera itself. I'm assuming that iMovie is not recognizing the hard drive nor the card when the camera is connected via USB.
    So, in summary:
What process are you using to import from the camera?
Have you tried using a card reader?
Have you tried deleting the preference file?

  • TS1424 I'm having a hardtime syncing my new ipod shuffle, get a message that says my songs are not found

I'm having a difficult time transfering my songs to my new ipod shuffle 4th generation. A message says that my songs are not found. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure what procedure you are using, but you should do it this way...
First, if the sidebar (along left side of iTunes window) is not visible, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
In the sidebar, find and select the shuffle under DEVICES.  There is a bar with buttons toward the top, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This is the shuffle's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the shuffle.
Check the box for Sync Music.  Choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Under Playlists, find and checkmark that 12-song playlist.  Click Apply.
Going forward, you can update that playlist (add/remove songs) in your iTunes library.  The next time you connect the shuffle (or click Sync if already connected), iTunes automatically updates the shuffle with the same changes.

  • Not posted Treasury transactions- problem with new Business area (NewGL)

    Hi all,
I have to change the Treasury account assignment objects due to a restructure. Currently, all TR transactions are assigned to one business area only.
In future, there will be 3 (different) business areas.
I have added new products, transaction tpyes etc and I have made further customising
settings. It looks ok and I can enter new transactions, settle and post them.
Problems I do have with already existing deals (fixed term and Forex transactions).
In here I get posting errors with message:
Balancing field "Business Area" in line item 001 not filled
    Message no. GLT2201
I have added additional account assignment references for the new Business Areas
and assigned to product types and account assignment
What happens when I create a deal?
Is that information (product type/ transaction/ account assignment) alreaedy stored in a table and used, when processing the deal further?
Can I somehow change that original assignment per deal now?
I think my problem lies in that the system wants to use the old assignment but also the new and it comes to conflict in field business area.
Any hints much appreciated and will be reqarded as usual.
    Thanks
    Hein

Assign Business area in the following step (ECC 6.0)
SPRO - Financial Supply Chain Management - Treasury and Risk Management -  Transaction Manager - General Settings - Accounting - Link to Other Accounting Components - Allocate Additional Account Assignments to Account Assignment References

Business System deleted from SLD. New business system Created. Entire scenario reconstructed. All the above are also fine.
    Still error is repeating.
Can anybody give a solution for this problem please?
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
The subject of the problem & the problem explanation is varing i.e *Business system not found in CPACache*
However, the problem still lieing with SLD. So, test the SLD and activate the scenario. Also without refreshing CPA cache you will have to perform execution.

  • In IPhoto I changed movie dates after thumb nails were created in IMovie but the new dates are not showing up in IMovie.  Is there someway to refresh the IPhoto event in IMovie?

Background:  I'm transferring file folders from a Visa laptop via an external hard drive to my IMac.  In the folders are photos and videos from different cameras.  SO I first tried to import to IMovie but it would not recognize any of the files.  So then I imported into IPhoto and both photos and videos were imported and I created events for each folder.  When I first opened IMovie I had to wait for it to create "thumb nails".  Then I could view the events in IMovie BUT the video clips are not together because they have vastly different dates and are mixed with videos from other events.  I looked at the dates and said I can fix that in IPhoto which i did but those new dates are not showing up in IMovie.    I think I need to somehow refresh the event data that Imovie is using but have not found how to do that in either IPhoto or IMovie.
I'm doing this on three events with about 100 photos and videos.  But I have many 1000s more to do so need to know how to either fix this or delete these events, reimport, change the dates, then open again in IMovie.   I'm sure that would work but I can't understand why changing the dates in IPhoto is not being reflected in IMovie.
    Appreciate any tips or pointers.
OBTW this is my first question as a first time Apple owner.

It was suggested I move this question to IPhoto or IMovie which I did.
Well moving to a different discussion group did not provide an answer to this question either. But what I finally did was import one batch of photos and videos into IPhoto for a given day at a time. Working with these I could change the date and times in order to get them in the original sequench taken. Then I would create an album with that batch. These would all be on the same day (IMove was closed for this phase). Then I would open IMovie, generate the thumbnails for that album, and select the album I had created. This was necessary because the importing process in IPhoto was using incorrect dates for my video so it was a real struggle finding them in IMove until I developed this approach.
I believe that this whole process was so screwy because I was importing from an external hard drive not a camera. I had these photos on a PC and did not have the original cameras to use to import directly which I am fairly sure would have made this easier!

  • Creation of New Business Area

    Hi Experts,
I want to create a new Business Area in my system and my worry is will that have an impact on my live system.I tried out a possiblilty by creating a new Bus Area T-Code OX03 and created a new Profit and CostCenter for the same in QA Server.
I tried out posting Journals for the same and the output was ok in FBL1/3/5N.
We are using SAP ECC 6.0 with Sp Purpose Ledger functionality.Do i need to do any further customization for the same.Since i want to create this new BA in Live server now.
    Regards
    Rahul

Business Area is an org. unit which you would want to fill in your documents, so you could draw business area-wise financial statements.  I think you are good to go with what you have done in QA system, if you do the same in your Prod. system.  But, what would happen to the documents that already exist in Prod. system.  You must come out with a way to populate those documents with the business area, if applicable.  If not (I mean, if it is a completely new business area for use in future only), your job is easy.

  • SPROXSET ...Unable to rectify Business systems not found issue..

    Hi,
On doing a test of my proxy I am frustrated with an error " Business system not found". I have maintained SPROXSET values as IFR_aDDRESS = XI.XYZ.COM, IFR_PORT = 51000, IFR_USER = PIAPPLUSER and IFR_PASSWORD = XIPASS.
I encounter this error whenever I do a test on SPROXY and I can't see the business systems from the SLD. What am I missing here? My sldcheck , sldapicust are all good. The only error in sldcheck is LCR_SAP_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS gives a retuen code fo 4. Please advise on what I am missing here.

  • Business Area not visible to account with admin privileges

    Hello,
I've encountered the following scenario on visiting a client site:
A Business area has been created by the EUL owner account (IFL) and he has granted admin privileges to another account (BRIANB who has been granted the DBA role). However, when BRIANB logs onto DIscoverer Admin, the Business area in question is not visible. BRIANB is able to create a new business area in the EUL which includes folders that are part of the 'invisible' BA. BRIANB is not able to access the 'invisible' BA using Discoverer End User. I'd be very grateful if anyone out there has an explantion for this,
    regards,
    KEvin.

Problem solved. My client inadvertently created an additional EUL when initially logging onto Disco Admin as BRIANB. Thereafter this was the default EUL. The errant EUL has now been deleted the required BA's are now in view,
    Kevin.

  • Business Area not accessible

    Hello,
I have created a new business area and granted access to a user buy going into Tools - Security option. But this business area is not accessible to the user from Discoverer Desktop. What could be the reason. I am unable to go in to the Tools - Privilges option as it is disabled.
    Please help
    Thanks

    Hi,
Can this user connect to the EUL with Disco Desktop? Can the user see other Business Areas? If so then the problem could be at the database level, and the user does not have database privileges to access the database objects referenced in these folders.

  • Visual Composer services are not found

    Hi there,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver 2004S SR 1 according to the installation guide which was included in the installation files. After installation of the system (excluding MaxDB Database Manager and SQL Studio) I started the server. After that I installed Adobe SVG Viewer and tried to start Visual Composer by calling http://localhost:50100/VC. When I do so, I get two error messages stating <b>Server Error: Visual Composer services are not found</b> and <b>This product requires MSXML Parser v4.0</b>. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks a lot for any help!
    Regards,
    Marc

    Hi Mario,
    mh...strange.
I used the VC on our old server with my notebook without a problem (great tool!).
Now we have a new server with a new NW 04s SP10 (very fresh installed ) and there I get the "Server Error: Visual Composer services are not found" and "This product requires MSXML Parser v4.0" errors.
Unfortunately I cannot test it on the old server, because it was a interim system.

  • New Business Area Configuration

    Hi,
I have an issue,Please support me!
So far we have not configured Business Area and using company code only.
However owing to business requirements we are planning to configure 4
    (four) business areas.
This project we are rolling out from 01-Apr-2009 (Starting of new
    fiscal year).
In this contxt request you to highlight the other areas that will get
affected and precautions to be taken.
Also after configuration of new business areas, "trail balance sheet"
    has to be tallied.
    Regards
    JNRao

    Hi,
Configuration of business areas won't create any problems to trial balances, but you can create statements for different business area level,
Business areas are not assigned to company code, so all company codes under your company can any of the business area's.
Make sure that filed status groups are maintained properly to use business area's for transaction posting.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

  • Few folders in Business area not visible in Desktop edition

I am using Discoverer 4 on Windows NT. I created a new business area using Administrative edition. When I used Desktop edition to create a new workbook, in Step 2, when I selected the new business area I created, the folders (tables) in this business area are listed in the Available list. A few of the folders that are shown in the Administrative edition are not shown in the Available List in the Desktop edition. Are there specific conditions for a folder to be listed in the Available list of the Desktop edition?
    Please reply to [email protected]
    Thanks.

I had a similar problem. What you might want to try is to Refresh the business area in the Admin edition. That should work.

  • Business place not found for plant?

    Hi,
I am facing the below mentioned problem with regard to Business Place with reference to Purchase order for Brazil.
We are getting error while creating Purchase order."Business place not found for plant 8149"
can any one has idea on this..
    Thanks
    Venkatesh

    Venkatesh,
You will need to assign your business place to your plant in config (SPRO->Cross Application components->General Application Functions->Nota Fiscal->CNPJ Business Places->Assign Business Places to Plants).
The system is trying to derive the business place during PO creation and that is the reason you are getting this error.
    Hope this helps.
