New Catalog version sets not together

I had a problem with some folders in my original catalog in PSE 11 so I created a new catalog that seems to be fine. However, I have quite a few edited raw files that I had saved in the version set with the original raw file using the old catalog. In the new catalog, the edited jpgs are not in with the original raw version. Is there something I could do to fix this? Also, I have not deleted the original catalog that I used. Thanks for any help.

You can't. A version set is only created by the fact you 'save as' an original photo to a new version (new file). You would have to re-edit each raw file individually.
Stacking many files is possible by selecting the option to 'automatically suggest photo stacks'.

Is there a way to only catalog backup set not in the catalog? "CATALOG START WITH" generates double entry.

The DB version is 11.1.0.7.
The "CATALOG START WITH" not only catalog backup set that are not in the RMAN catalog, but also catalog a second copy for files that are already in the catalog.
Files are not a second copy; they are the same file in the same directory.
Having two copies in the catalog, through an error when deleting explicitly the backups.
We have to add the force clause to avoid the error.
RMAN> delete FORCE backup tag 'offsite-1';
The force clause ignores any I/O error.
The delete is part of our scheduled offsite backup script, which returns a false positive error when the force clause is ommited.
I don't want the force clause, in order to be notify if the backup set that are expected to be on disk are no more there, e.g., if someone had deleted files manually at the OS level bypassing rman.
Is there a way to only catalog backup set not in the catalog?
or May be remove the copy #2 entry from the catalog?

At line 36 you answered "No" to "Do you really want to catalog the above files (enter YES or NO)?".
Just repeate your demo and answer Yes.
Even if he might have replied with "YES" then also, the RMAN search for the files which it can recognize as a valid rman backup file. Else it would show the list of files which are not recognized by RMAN as a valid file.

About the RMAN catalog, it will not catalog the same file twice. It will only catalog the files which are not known to the database.

Create DC Failed: base-version-set-not-open

About a week ago, I created a new track BAMSPOC2. I imported a number of components into it from another track. Today, I'm trying to create a new DC on this BAMSPOC2 track. However, I keep getting a "Create DC Failed" error such as the following:

Anyone have any ideas as to what this error is? what base-version-set-not-open means?
A local folder is created: DCs/myvendor.com/capabilities/_comp/
And, I can create DC's on other tracks just fine.

You need to buy and install a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD; once it's installed, run the Software Update pane of System Preferences twice.
There is no other way to sync it, but content can be downloaded directly from the iTunes Store servers; for non-purchased music, this requires signing up for iTunes Match, which costs more than the DVD.

PSE 4 (WinXP): Version set not working

I have about 7000 thumbnails in my catalogue. Just recently I have had a problem when creating a version set - I get something like a catalog error (sorry, I didn't write it down when it happened - I think it's a DBA error?) and the original thumbnail is displayed only in the Organiser, without a version set icon in the corner. The new jpeg is still saved, it just doesn't show in the version set, or the catalogue at all. Furthermore, when I 'get' new photos from the folder I saved the jpeg in, I get an ODBC error - again, apologies that I can't transcribe it: I checked the 'don't want to see any more' box pretty quickly. So the new jpeg I created is somehow both in and 'not in' the catalogue.
Help is appreciated.

Thanks! I might not have found that feature for years. Or might have found it previously, and forgotten it was there . That allowed me to import the new thumbnails to the catalogue, but not repair the version set.

Versions Set not saving in Organizer 9

Using Organizer and PSE 9 on a Mac, about 13,000 photos in single catalog.
Had been using Versions Sets with no problem, but now the edited image is not being added to the version set. It works okay if I do the edit in Organizer - the edited version saves in version set. But if I go out to PSE for edits and save edited version, a version set is not created. Using Save command in PSE and the "Save as Version Set with Original" box is checked. Have closed Organizer and reopened, also ran the repair catalog in Organizer, but no change.

Same issue here. Some files it works, some not. I cannot find any elements that would be causing this. I thought the file name could be too long, or contain special characters, but I have been able to make it work in some cases.
I'm not sure forums are monitored so I guess we're just out waiting for an update that would miraculously correct this...
In the mean time, when you do edit within an album, the edited files gets added to the catalog but not to the album, which is left with just the original. Very unuseful...
In the hope that someone will find a solution to this.

I've been using Elements 9 for about a year, and just recently when I try to save a file after editing, and selecting Save in Version Set with Original, the file is saved to the original location, but it's not saved as a version set in the catalogue. Can anyone please help?

Yes, that's right. It still doesn't save the image as a version set. I've seen a couple of other posts from people with the same problem, and so far I've not seen a solution. I've even tried reinstalling but it made no difference.

New Storage Check setting not working - Lumia 920

I received the new update yesterday but the new "Storage Check" doesn't work. I see it in settings but when I click on it it looks like it is going to do something (page flip animation) but then it goes right back to the settings. Does anyone have this issue or know how to fix it? I have done a soft reset and turned it off a few times. I do not want to do a hard reset because I recently did this and I have the phone the way I like it.

New Firefox version does not work with my Viroshop storefront.

Every product page visited now says the item is in the cart. This does not happen in IE or on my iPad, and did not happen in previously installed Firefox versions.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

New bios version does not appear

I have a k7n2 delta2 motherboard.I currently have bios version 11.4 {B4} My problem is that i flashed bios back to bersion 11.3 {B3).It seemed to flash with no problem but when i reboot it still says that my version is 11.4.Did I miss anything in the flash.Thanks for your help

thanks wonkanoby, I have tried the /f.Hear is what happens, when i copy the file awf883d.exe and the file w6570nms.b30 it goes to another prompt than i type awf833d w6570nms.b30/f.It than goes to another screen with the logo award flash or bios or something like that.The screen has several symbols shown for various switches,i guess. It that goes to an a prompt. I have retyped awf833d w6570nms/f, it does not take and goes back to the a prompt.I have to retype but leave off the /f.It than goes to the flash and completes.But when i reboot it still shows the b40 version. Am i missing something on the second prompt.Thanks

PSE13 Organizer: stacks and version sets do not expand

Converted three catalogs from PSE12 show the stacks/versions sets overlay symbols in organizer but there seems to be no way to expand the stack/version set. All the menu choices for doing this are disabled.
Anybody else seeing this? Any workaround? Any ETA besides PSE 14 or higher for a fix?

Even though, when you double click a photo (single view) from within the default grid view, you "do" get the option to expand a stack or version set (not greyed out). However, it does not work. My frustration with that is that since it was not greyed out you would naturally expect it to be functional and it is not. In grid view the option is greyed out however that caused confusion as well since this option works in Elements 12 default view. So, one assumes it is a defect. Right? So the solution is to switch the grid view to detail view (view -> detail). Once you do that then the expand function works as expected. This should have been explained as I believe it is a change in functionality (user work flow) from earlier versions. I did try to find wording about this in the help file but no luck.

How are stacks and version sets handled in Mobile Albums

I am thinking of purchasing PSE 12. However, I have a question about the way stacks and version sets are handled in Mobile Albums within Revel.
When photos are in stacks or version sets in PSE 12 and I sync those photos to Mobile Albums in Revel, do the photos also appear as stacks and version sets in Revel? Or, do the photos which were in stacks and version sets in PSE 12 appear individually (i.e. un-stacked and not in version sets) in Revel?

I need a full screen PDF viewer. Which the new DC viewer is not.

For years I have used Adobe PDF viewer as my favorite way to make the actual presentations. Now the new DC version is not a full viewer. I prefer the older version especially for my iPad. Is this possible?

If you tap once on the screen, you can view the pdf in full screen version on your Acrobat DC app for ipad. Are you facing any specific challenges?
