New CC account - no apps will install

I have signed up to Creative Cloud on OS X (Mavericks), but no installers will go past 42% (in fact they all stop at exactly this point). I have tried this too in safe mode, same result, and have downloaded trial versions manually with a view to activating - but all the trial versions show the same "error with database" message when I try to install them.
Any suggestions? I have been able to install all programs fine with a separate Adobe ID account on a similar machine (the only real difference being the successful machine is running 10.8 rather than Mavericks).

Under the folder Adobe there is another called AAMupdater. If the first doesn't solve the issue, try deleting the OOBE folder and the AAMupdater.

Let's see if we can square this away for you. With backing up your iPhone, it will back everything you have using iTunes and if you use iCloud, by default, backs up everything. After you have made a backup you can restore that to put the contents of the backup on your replacement iPhone. If you want to put certain things back on, you will at least need to export the content to your computer, like your photos and videos. If you only want to put certain things back on, then you will need to sync that over with iTunes. All the information you will need are in the articles below.

Iphone 4 - IO6 Problem: After upgrading to the absoulte crap that is IO6, one of my apps is stuck on "loading" and no new apps will install. If I delete this "loding app" (which happens to be iMovie), the next app that tries to install gets stuck on "loading" and every other app gets stuck on "waiting." How to fix??

I had the same issue and tried several options like rebooting, resyncing, deleting and reinstalling apps, restarting the network connection but none of them worked. Eventually I opened iTunes on my iPhone (not on Mac) to find that it had two pending downloads that was stopping the rest of the apps from loading fully. You need to cancel them by swiping left to right over the listed apps and select cancel/delete. It worked for me. Good luck!

Setting up a new user account without apps

Ok here's a little backgorund to help you all out first. I have had the computer since November. I bought it as a Refurb model. In December I got an Elgato diversity with Eyetv. I have had numerous problems with this (one where my whole os had major system crashes. I have sorted that out by zeroing the disk and re-installing. EyeTv just has never been the same since. SO I have contacted Elgato and I have followed there instructions to the letter T. The final instruction is to open a new user account to check for software clashes.
This obviously needs a totally new user account opening without anything from my admin account being installed on the new user.
I have tried to do this through system prefs and add new user, but it just keeps sharing all my apps and prefs.
So how do I go about creating this "Fresh user account"?

quite as yr office person says. It would be wrong to remove all the apps. I would not be sure what ElGato can mean when they say the test user has no apps!. Elgato (?) will need to use some apps for it's normal operation, and the more general user functions will as well. You would msee in yr 'Parentalo controls, in sys prefs pane that there are 'helper apps' that you can allow or not to any controlled user. So there are helper apps.
You can 'turn off' lots of system extensions with a special boot up but won't Elgato need some of them? It is after all the operation of Elgato that you want to test.
The usual dodgy 'apps' are starup items like so called haxies which moderate certain basic system operations. You could start by disabling the.
You might care to consider that Elagto is shoveling the blame onto 'the rest of the world' saying it 'is something else',but I may be wrong.

I'm trying to move 2 different iTunes library's (my PC crashed) from an iPod and iPod Touch to my iMac via a 3rd party app. Will I be able to use this app on the 2 new administrator accounts that I will set up?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! The app I'm thinking of using cost $35 and is supposed to move everything from the device to my imac, but will each administrator acct be able to use it? Is there another way?

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
and select the Library that you moved. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
Your first option didn't work because you imported one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
Your second option didn't work because you simply referenced her library on the old machine.

How do I sign out of iCloud on my iPad, I can only select the disable feature and I want to get the software back to pre iOS.8. My account tracker app will not sync now because the update was installed.

I Always down load the updates but now I find that my account App does not sync. I cannot seem to be able to revert my software back to the pre IOS 8.0 update.
on the settings page , I am only able to switch off the I cloud drive and not really signing off from the account.

I am trying to install some free apps on my ipod touch. I go to the app store through my touch, select the app, (dictionary.com) and select install, it prompts me for my login, and it then appears in the start window with an icon...sometimes it briefly says "loading" but then just sits at "waiting"
I've connected the itouch to itunes on my pc, and even tried downloading it to my pc, then syncing it to the touch...same thing happens. It sits at waiting.
I have installed the latest version of itunes on my pc and logged into my account...(therefore accepting the new agreement etc..)
I have great wifi connectivity through it and am able to watch Youtube, browse with safari, look through itunes etc...so it isn't that the touch isn't getting wireless access....
Any ideas?

New FW upgrade - no apps will load anymore!?

So i upgraded to the new FW several days ago (in hindsight it was a huge mistake) and now only two of my apps work- MySpace and Facebook as they released updates asap. I have 3 pages of Apps, NONE of which will open. I've downloaded apps recently that haven't been updated in over a month and those few work okay, but none of the ones that were ON the phone when I upgraded work...so it's not even about the app making an upgrade avalilable!
any suggestions? I've restarted and done everything. I want to limit how many apps I have to delete and then re-download as many are business apps and have important logs of info I cannot lose.

New Market Place My Apps Missing Installed

I'm having the same problem as another post under the droid x so I know its not unique to this model. A ton of my installed apps are missing from the new market place. The follow up question from verizon to that post was "If you search for your apps in the market place do they still come up and show as installed. Sometimes authors remove or rename apps from the market place..." yada yada. The answer is yes. In fact the market place alerted me I had an update available but the app was not listed in the my app section, nor did the my app section display the update all button. I had to search for each of my apps to find the one with an update. They all came up in the market place, and they all said installed. But none were on the my apps list. The only thing in common about the ones actually listed is that they seem to all be the paid apps. I haven't gone through every one yet to see if that's the case, but so far all the one's missing were free, and from my recollection of what I've purchased, those all seem to be listed in my apps.

New Mac LR 5 app will not open ... cautionary tale

In hopes of saving others some frustration, here is my tale:
Have a 27" iMac. Got a LR 5 CD, loaded it into the Applications Folder, and executed it. Waited but saw nothing. Double clicked on it again. This time I received an error message: "Can not open this app for it is a Windows program." I was non-plussed for a long time. Then, just as I closed the window and reached for the phone to call Adobe, there was another dialog box underneath asking me to enter the serial number!! Thereafter, all was fine.
Two questions:
1. why was the dialog box requesting the SN not on top? The error message came on top of and obscuring it!
2. Why did double clicking the app being loaded not just bring the dialog box requesting the SN to the front?
Perhaps I am the only one with a 27" iMac to have multiple windows open on the screen at the same time. ??

It's really bothering me.

Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

Can I avoid paying (again) for apps on new iTunes account for child?

So, my wife and I bought our daughter an iPod Touch for Christmas and have decided that it is time for her to get her own iTunes account. The problem is, there are so many apps that we've downloaded for her on our iPad and iPhones over the years that we just don't want to have to pay for them again under her iTunes account. Is there a way, either through Home Sharing or some other means, to redownload them or transfer them from our devices into her iTunes account without deleting them from our devices since her account has nothing?

You can't transfer any content to a different account, those apps will remain tied to the account that bought them. As long as they are on the computer's iTunes that she syncs to then she should be able to continue to use them (but only your account will be able to download updates to them). If they are not on the computer that she will be syncing to then you should be able to copy them over to it either via home sharing (copying between computers), or you could copy them via , for example, a flash drive (you can find where they are stored on your computer by right-clicking one of them in the Apps part of your iTunes library and selecting 'show in explorer) and then add them to the new computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library (you will need to have authorised your account on that computer's iTunes via the Store > Authorise This Computer menu option).
