i just wanted to say happy holidays and tell you that cmedia, makers of our 865 PE onboard sound chip's codec (cmi 9739a) have released an update to their audio config utility new version is 5.12.01.00039.3 (36)

I followed this link and found a feature that might be great.
You can get real 3d sound from 2 speakers and earphones. For that set your outputs to 4 channel mode and plug the earphones in the line in jack of the motherboard. Enable the 5.1 virtual speaker and set the Ls and Rs (which are you earphone's speakers) a little louder than your front speakers.
The msi official drivers mentions it in the splash screen of their install, and in the 3d demo program when set to 4 speakers.
It is called Xear3d earphone plus, a feature of the c-media 9738/9739A chip.

When using the new driver, if you uninstall the previous driver, let the Play3d demo from msi, because it is not shipped with the one from c-media.

Is there an iphone config utility for Mac OS 10.5?

Problem: Just got a new IMAC with System 10.5.4, now my Cisco VPN doesn't work. I had my files professionally transferred, vpn worked on my other IMAC, now it doesn't (Error 51). I downloaded vpnclient-darwin-4.9.01.0100-universal-k9.dmg, this version didn't work either (Error 51).
I have tried everything from repairing permissions to entering code in my terminal and still get the error. Any solutions to this frustrating problem? I have spent hours looking for solutions and rely on my VPN for work, so I need help fast!

Does iPhone Config Utility Have an admin password to override?

Hey guys,
Very new to the iPhone Config Utility. I'm wondering if it's possible to limit a phone (or iPad actually) using the iPhone Config Utility, BUT have an admin password that overrides those limitations? So:
1) install a limited profile on an iPad
2) when they need an app installed (for instance) they just hand the iPad to IT, who has a "magic" password and installs that approved app, then logs back out.

Real sorry guys, even though it's been 2 years since original post, but I've fixed it.
I am using iPCU 3.6.2.300 and the problem was not on the iPCU, but, you can fix your image on Photoshop like below:
iPad (Retina display) 152x152px; Resolution: 72 px/inch; Save as Bitmap (.bmp) with OS/2 file format.
and for other devices, just follow the guidelines for size (in pixels) at the iOS Developer Library here, with resolution either 72px/inch or 96px/inch. Just remember to save as Bitmap with OS/2 file format, not Windows.

IPhone Config Utility win7 cached app?

Running into a funny situation where I delete an app from iPhone Configuration Utility, delete from ipad, delete from folder.
drag the new version into iPhone config utility and it shows the old version, also pushes old version to ipad.
put this same new .ipa into itunes and i can push it to the ipad no prob... weirdness

3gs is not recognized by iTunes or iPhone config. utility.

my 3gs is only running 3.1.2, when trying to run the config utility i got the error code 0xE8000065, iTunes gave me error code kAMD Read Eror. im running windows 7. Any help with this would be terrific! Thanks

I have the same problem with my iPhone 4 - since updating to iTunes 10.1.1 I my iPhone is not recognised by iTunes. I have reinstalled and done all of Apple's suggestions up to the point of messing with the deep settings in Windows (I'm not confident that I won't mess up other things if I do this). The computer recognises the iPhone but iTunes ignores it. Come on Apple - how about a simple fix that doesn't require a nerdy ability to delve into the depths of software settings!

Itunes cannot run because it detected a problem with your audio config.

I keep coming up with this message. I feel like I have tried everything. Uninstalling---reinstalling---installing earlier versions---even tried apple's help page regarding this error. Nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem. Everytime I try to open itunes it shows the dialog "itunes has detected a problem with your audio config..." and then when it "opens"
has no background, so it's impossible to do something. I've tried to reinstall itunes and quicktime in different ways like both of them separately and following every instruction in Apple's Web site like article #304424. I've installed prior versions for those programs too and the problem persist, tried to clean up the registry, etc. I don't want to reinstall Windows to solve this issue 'cause it seems to be only way to get rid of this! =( HELP!!!

Any improvements to new 3G audio speaker , also comments on yellow screens?

Hello all you new 3G owners, can anyone comment on the "New improved audio quality" as mentione by Steve Jobs? Has the speaker phone volume improved and can you hear the ring tones?
Also a few people are commenting on yellowish tint to their screens, can you state how yours is, so that I can see if it across the board, or just one offs.....

Compared to my 1st generation iPhone, side by side, the 3G does appear yellow-y, while the 1st generation has more of a blueish hue. Kind of like when you make a picture "cooler" or "warmer" while editing photos. It bothered me when I put them side by side, but when I put my 1st gen. up and just held my 3G, the screen seemed fine. Does it have to do with the quality of the screen, or just the hue? Is this something I need to be concerned about, I wonder.
Oh, and the audio: It seemed much crisper and less fuzzy, but I didn't really find it louder. It is not bad, but it could be better.

A newer version of AirPort Utility is required

Hi everyone,
My Airport Utility keeps telling me that "A newer version of AirPort Utility is required."
My airport extreme is a (new) dual band unit (running v7.5) and the AirPort utility (v5.4.2) seems to be the latest and greatest.
What am I doing wrong?

You need to install the new software from the disk that came with the Airport Extreme.
This is only available on the disk at this time as Apple has not released the new version for download.
The new version of Airport Utility is 5.5 which is on the disk that came with the new Airport Extreme.

i have Oracle 11g R1 on windows XP service pack 3 platform.
i am having some issue while creating new services using ORADIM utility.
The Errors are:

check for the files in ORACLE_HOME/database. You have dropped existing instance and creating service again, move all the files to other folder then create using ORADIM

7920 Config utility ver 3.0 Problem Connecting to Phon

Using the 7920 Config Utility 3.0. I have my 7920 phone Im trying to program... The system goes ONLINE to the phone just fine, but when I try to export the config to the phone, I get an ERR 300 "TFTP FAILS IN IMPORTING CONFIGURATION FILE." Then TFTP Server Port Number:69 , Connection Reset By Phone.
I cannot get it to work and its very frustrating... any help is appreciated!!!

Please be sure you are following the Installation guide for 7920 config utility.7920 USB NIC is supposed to be set for DHCP. Also ensure you are not running any TFTP server application on the PC that will also use port 69.The Configuration Utility has limited DHCP server capabilities. If the USB interface of the Cisco Wireless IP Phone 7920 is set to DHCP, the IP address should be 192.168.1.X to allow network communication between the Cisco 7920 Wireless IP Phone and the PC. The config utility will assign an IP to the PC's USB NIC.

IPhone Config Util stealing control from iTunes

I installed iPhone Config Util and now it appears that when I attempt to sync the iPhone, iPhoto sees it but iTunes does not. Is there a way I can give control back to iTunes. I am not intending to manage the iPhone on an enterprise.

Hmmm... It appears that all my Login items were removed from my account and iTunesHelper was the one which would allow iTunes to connect (noticed all this after rebooting the machine). iTunes will now recognize it if I manually start iTunes but will not auto-start when the iPhone is docked. Could not find iTunesHelper.
Does anyone know where I can find iTunesHelper so I can add it to the Login items?
I apologize if this does not belong on this list but this problem (of no Login items) appeared after upgrading Server Admin and adding iPhone Config Util to a newly upgraded 10.6 machine (non server).

IPhone config utility won't work after Mavericks upgrade

After my upgrade to Maverics, any time I try to use the iPhone Config Utility to install apps on my devices, when I click install, it crashes iPhone config utility. I've already tried re-installing iPhone Config Utility - Any recommendations? This is killing my productivity!

If you are using the Apple configurator there is an update Apple has reasleased for it for support for Mavericks. It seems to be working for me but I'm also using it with the iPad 4th gen.

New Nforce audio drivers?

I noticed that nvidia have done a special release of just their audio drivers, has anyone tried these on the neo2, does it solve problems as they say it does?

there are no READMEs or instructions telling you how to install it.
very strange.. probably a reaction to pressure from the half life 2 people..
you can tell it has been done in a hurry because the "installation hints" tell you to uninstall your DISPLAY driver first hehe.
I guess it will give a similar benefits to that Bas described earlier when he did the same thing manually.

No, this is a new service. The service that you are referring too is called "IMAPI CD-Burning Com Service". That service is required (though it can stay in manual) and is part of XP and came from Microsoft.
However, after installing the new Nvidia audio driver, a new service was added, called "Imapi Helper". This service is not part of XP, and did not exist on my system prior to installing this nvidia audio driver (I keep very close tabs on services and the like that run on my system, and this one was not there yesterday).
Furthermore, if you go into MSconfig Services tab, and choose to hide all microsoft services, this service does not get hidden. It's not a Microsoft service, it was added by the Nvidia driver.
