New collection causes ibooks crash with ios5

Hi,
My iBooks shelves are nice, with different collections.
Since I did the upgrade to Ios 5, it's impossible to create a new collection: it crashes the app.
The previously installed ones work perfectly, but no new folder is allowed!!
Do someone have an idea??

Having trouble adding new collection in ibooks?

I am having trouble a adding a new collection in ibooks. When I click on "+New Collection" it disappears and the keyboard does not pop up and then seems to freeze. It was working fine yesterday and only encountered this problem this morning.
Has anyone else had this problem or know how I go about fixing it?

The problem is not thru TWC... I can access my account in Outlook and also by Webmail.
The problem is on the Iphone 4 (I had no problem on my 3G). Like I said, the settings I have entered are the same as the settings for the other 4 accounts. The only portion of the setup that I cannot access during the "failed" setup is the "Advanced" where I can turn SSL off and confirm password authentication.

QuickTime cast members. A movie which was working fine before now
causes intermittent crashes (about 25% of the time) on PC IE 6.
I've isolated the two lines of code which trigger the crash to the
following:
video.fileName = videoPath (where "video" is a QuickTime
castmember)
and
if (video.trackCount() = 0) then...
I'm guessing that both of those properties cause the .dcr to
access the external video file... could that be what's causing the
problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Webcam Live Pro causes system crash with Windows XP Home

Ever since installing Webcam Live Pro I have been having random system restarts. This ONLY happens when the webcam is being used. It happens when using the Creative Webcam Center or another application. Sometimes the restart will happen after a few minutes, and other times an hour or more. I am running Windows XP sp2 with all patches, and there are no driver conflicts listed in Device Manager. I have the cam set at 60 hz.
Even though there are no listed driver conflicts in Device Manager, there clearly is a driver conflict that occurs from time to time. I have read of other people having this same problem on this forum with Webcam Live Pro. I am using the driver ...0 which is dated 0//2004, and the automatic update program on this web site says that I am using the latest driver. But in the download section of this web site, the latest driver is listed as .0.0.0 and dated November 9, 2004. The driver numbers or dates do not match, and the driver on the web seems to have an earlier number but a later date!?
Does anyone (especially a Creative tech support person who may be reading this post) have any idea what to do? The driver version is one issue. But the big issue is the system crashes.

Solution! I discovered the problem causing the system crash, and I think it is sufficiently interesting to note here so that others may benefit from what I discovered. First, there is no fundamental problem/conflict with the driver for Webcam Live Pro. The trouble in my instance is that I was running another program that utilized the web cam, and that program conflicted with the Webcam Live Pro program that was constantly running in the system tray. Basically, the program in the system tray is loaded with the set-up for Webcam Live Pro. It constantly monitors the computer system to see if the cam is connected to the computer. When it does this while another program is using the cam, the conflict occurs, causing the entire computer to reboot. The solution is to right mouse click the icon for Webcam Live Pro in the system tray, go to settings, and to remove the check that allows the program to check for the presence of the web cam. Just to be safe, I then also exited the Webcam Live Pro program from the system tray so that nothing from that program could interfere with my use of the webcam using another program.
The result is that the webcam is rock solid, with no system crashes. I have been running it nonstop for hours without a problem.

Mail crashes with ios5

when opening a new email I've been having problems with the program crashing and returning to home screen.
It seems to also happen with pdf attachements that get opened in the mail program. This is similar to the Safari crash cycle that also occurs since upgrading to iOS 5, which I wish I never did. So if you haven't done it, DO NOT UPGRADE TO IOS 5!!!!!!!!!!!
I've also notice some problems with FaceTIme as well.
Besides erasing all of your songs, contacts, photos, and books, pdfs, it is extremely buggy operating system.
Any ideas? How can I go back to previous iOS??

Downgrading the iOS is not supported.
Have you tried clearing Safari's cache and history via Settings > Safari ? You could also close all apps via the taskbar and do a soft reset (by pressing and holding the sleep and home buttons for 10 to 15 seconds until the Aplle logo appears; it won't remove any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot) to see if that makes any difference.

ITunes 9.1 (64-bit) causing BSOD crashes with Windows 7

I installed iTunes 9.1 (64-bit) this evening and my computer running Windows 7 (64-bit) repeatedly experienced the blue screen of death (BSOD). The computer would restart in safe mode. Upon restart, the BSOD would occur again within a few minutes.
iTunes was successfully installed and was operable up until the blue screen.
I completed a system restore and my system is stable once again. However, certain iTunes files were removed and now iTunes will not function.
Does anyone have a link to an iTunes 9.0.3 for Windows 7 (64-bit)?
Has anyone experienced a similar problem and have a solution that allows 9.1 to work without crashing my machine?

I had the exact same problem. I upgraded iTunes to 9.1 and it caused a BSOD. I booted into Windows Safe Mode (Hit F8 as soon as you see the Windows start up screen) and disabled the itunes services. Rebooted and the system is now working. I'm not sure what the deal is with the iTunes 9.1 but it definately breaks Windows 7.

I've read that other people are also having issues with iBooks after they download ios8. I haven't been able to use iBooks for more than a couple of minutes before it crashes every time. Any solutions?

New K7N2 Delta2 Platinum crashes with new memory

I recently bought a new K7N2 Delta2 Platinum motherboard and 2 x 512MB DDR400 OCZ memory, and now my machine continually crashes.
I've tested the memory sticks individually using memtest, and there are no problems with the memory. However, when I was in touch with OCZ support, they mentioned that there is apparently a problem with the nForce2 chipset being able to handle new 2 x 512MB memory. I had my motherboard working successfully with old DDR400 memory (BH5-based), which I sold when I bought the new memory. I was pointed to this site by OCZ support:

If so, I'm surprised to see that MSI (or any manufacturer with nForce2 chipsets) can claim up to 3GB support. Comments?

Can anyone suggest any other options?
I'm somewhat frustrated that I've bought a new board and pretty expensive memory, and now have an unstable system. It's also too late to return to the reseller.

Did you also test them together? If not, do so. Then up voltage as suggested.

That is correct; it is set up for 1T and can not be changed.
Not true that nforce2 chipset has problems running 2x512MB but it is notoriously picky. Your board tends to under-volt the memory too so you may be OK after increasing the voltage.
You don't say what bios you are using but bosskiller's modded bios b.72c has produced good results and addresses memory issues.

Why can't i add new collections in ibooks?

List shows add new, but no text is added to list. There seems to be a limit to number of collections, not good. I have over 2g of books and having to search or scroll thru bookshelf is not productive, especially considering the way it alphabetizes things.

There is nothing about a limit to the number of collection published (that I know of), but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a maximum.

Skype causing display crash with newest AMD driver...

I have two graphics cards, an Nvidia GTX 750 Ti, and an XFX R9 280X. Skype gives me zero problems with the 750 Ti and latest Nvidia drivers, but with the 280X and latest Catalyst drivers from AMD, about 5 seconds after Skype starts up, my display freezes and just displays some crazy lines and colors. To test this, I closed Skype just before it completely started up, and, to my surprise, things ran smoothly, so this has to be a Skype issues with AMD drivers. Before I installed drivers for the 280X, there was no problem with Skype starting up. After, my PC becomes unusable with the drivers and Skype starting up. Any thoughts? I cannot just simply neglect to use Skype. A conflict between Skype and AMD drivers seems to be the only possible explanation if this problem does not occur without the drivers, nor with Nvidia drivers.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Does the new iPod touch with iOS5 come with the dual core A5 processor?

If the new iPhone 4s is able to pack a dual core A5 processor into the phone, shouldn't the iPod be able to? I wanna buy a new iPod cause mine crashes a lot but I'm not sure I want another one with just a single core processor...Did Apple announce anything at the keynote about this or something? How to transfer files from different collections in iBooks?

Hey Everyone!
As a rep on the road I use my iPad quite a bit with my customers. When I receive pdf files I like to be able to save them in iBooks so that I can show them to my customers at any time. Organizing them seems to be a little difficult in iBooks though. A pdf will open up automatically in the pdf section in iBooks, but when I try to create a new collection in iBooks I can't seem to be able to transfer a pdf into that new collection that I create. Should I be able to do this?

I think that pdfs are themselved a collection, and i books is not going to let you subdivide it further. You might try some other system for organizing the pdfs such as docstogo or dropbox, or file browser or goodreader I think those will let you store the pdfs in whatever file structure you want. You would be viewing those pdfs from their reader, and not ibooks.
