New Component

Hi There,
I am creating a new component, in which i have a view.
The view is created using a wizard, and i have added a model node while doing so.
The attributes in this new model context node doesnt have the prefix STRUCT.
What could be the reason?
Thanks
Regards,
Chanakya Reddy

Sorry, but this doesnt work. I have the exact problem of creating a context node with attributes and then not having the STRUCT. prefix. Selecting 'structure context nodes' doesnt seem to do anything, the tree just collapses, but apart from that nothing changes on the attribute.
Please advise!

Hello,I'm now study the GUI and here i meet a problem.I want to display a pic use JComponent. In paint() method i paint the pic.because i use a button to open a FileDialog to choose a pic file and send the path info to the constructor of JPicPane(i extends it from JComponent),so it will be add to the frame when it was visible and we know that there is a swing thread problem.so i use invokeLater(new Runnable(){....pack();});I want to know besides pack() can i use other method to change the layout sothat the new component could be displayed.becasue pack() will make the frame changeits size.(it displays the preferred size of components?) I don't want it make the frame change size and the component be displayed,is there any approch else?one method occur to me is chang the prefer size of contentPane sothat the pack won't make the frame small.is there any other method?and by the way, what's the different between invokeLater and invokeAndWait?

No idea why it is slow(er). The difference between invokeLater and InvokeAndWait are described here and in the tutorial that is linked there.

  • Add a new component in Production order while not being in BOM

    Hi all,
I would like to know how to forbid the addition of a new component in a Production order that doesn't exist in the BOM.
Currently when we create a Production Order, the components of its materials are read from the BOM. If we add a component that doesn't exist in the bom the system allows it without any problem. We want to forbid this and let components be added to a PO only when they take part in the BOM.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.

    SS,
You can use an userexit to check before saving the order, based on the BOM(Order master data tab) used in the order, it should validate the component material number. If it finds a new material in the order, it should terminate the save with a message to user.
The following enhancement is available for production orders:
PPCO0008  Enhancement for adding and changing components
This enhancement is used to check components (for instance against a standard parts database), which have added to or changed in an order. This check can then refuse to copy a component into the order or can replace one material number with another.
The enhancement PPCO0008 contains the following enhancement components:
    Function exit
    EXIT_SAPLCOMK_006
Enhancement for adding and  changing components
    Activities
    1. Create the enhancement
To do so, create a new project or use an existing project.
    2. Activate the project.
The enhancement can only take effect after you have activated the project.

  • Enhancing standard component with new component usage

    Hi!
I try to enhance standard component /SAPSRM/WDC_AOFC_BEV with new component usage (say, SALV_WD_TABLE). It allows me to add new usage, but the usage does not appear in the "Component Usages" tree node.
Is it a bug? Is it possible to enhance a standard component with new component usage?

    Hi Thomas!
We've been communicating with SAP on this issue for a while and last response we obtained is next:
    Dear customer,
the possibility to create external controller usages (as required for
the ALV-usage) is not supported by the Web Dynpro ABAP development
tools. However, you could try a programmatic apporach by adding the
ALV-usage dynamically (e.g. in methods or method exits created within
    your enhancement implementation).
See test component WDR_TEST_DYN_ALV_USAGE for details.
What's your opinion on this? Is it really not a bug?

  • Add new component to WO

    Hi all,
I search a standard function (BAPI or anything else) for adding a new component to a production order. (SAP PP Module). Basically it is not possible to use a batch input with the transaction CO02 because there is no relevant fonctionnality within standard menu allowing to select the desired component.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
As I know, there is no BAPI/FM for CO02 so far. Normally we use BDC to change production order.

  • Adding Distribution KEY (GLEI) to a new Component at Process order Create

    Hello Experts.
We have a Process Order where all components have the GLEI Distribution Key assigned.  FOr this particular Process order, our Scheduler routinely adds an additional Material Component (with a specific batch number to save operators from having to key in the batch number when reorting production).  The problem is, that when she adds this additional component, the Distribution Key field is greyed out so we cannot assign the GLEI key.  This causes the demand for that particular item to show on dates that dont work for us.  Should it be possible to manually assign the GLEI key to components at the Process Order create stage?
*Note, I have also tried adding the extra component at the Planned order stage, and while the screen allows me to enter all of the details (including Distribution key), when I save the Planned order, the new component does not get saved.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • New component for simulation

    Hello,
I'm having some trouble to get my new component to simulate.
It's a photoMOS and I downloaded some data for a this component from the develpers homepage.
But I don't know much about Pspice so I'm pretty lost how to insert it into the component.
The first thing I did was to cut out the data for only one component (the .lib-file felt like it was made for a lot of different components). Then I tried to make a component in Multisim by using "component wizard". Then I inserted my "new" file (AQY21S.lib) during some step.
The scematic and PCB symbol works fine. But when I start to simulate I get some errors (and the simulation never starts).
Could anyone expalin for me how to insert a SPICE file from a manufactor for simulation. What in the file is needed and how to insert it in a component. Or if someone could point out a good tutorial for a newbe in Spice.
I also attach 2 files, ps_aqv21s.zip is the original from the manufactor and AQY21S.zip is my try attempt to cut out only one component fromit.
    Thankful for help

Pspice is not fully supported in Multisim, Spice is supported. Anyways, the models RES and CAP had to be changed to R and C respectively. I am not sure how to make a simulation of your circuit, however, after changing these parameters I did not got any error when trying to simulate only that component by itself... it just asked for a GND signal. • Latest nightly build create new component possible bug?

hey guys... so i updated my flash builder to the latest nightlly build... and one of the things i discovered is that the "halo" namespace has been changed to "mx"
I was wondering why when i create a new component the halo namespace apprears instead of the mx? do i just have to change that namespace manually??

    Hi,
When you create projects, modules, components etc the headers are generated from template wizards, for instance I changed the project template so new porjects never have minwidth and minheight in their declaration.
this is the project template - by removing ${min_size} I don't get those painful minwidth/minheight values
    ${xml_tag}
    <${application} ${xmlns}${wizard_attributes}${min_size}>
    ${wizard_tags}
    ${declarations}
    </${application}>
I may be wrong but I think the variables are embedded in flashbuilder which means that ${xmlns} would be wrong for the new sdk but that doesn't stop you replacing the variable with the actual text you want to appear.
    David.
