New Computer and how to sync the iPhone without data loss

I have installed a new Operating System on my PC.
Now I want to sync my iPhone with the new installed iTunes, but I can't sync my programs, music, videos from my iPhone back to my PC without losing my data.
itunes don't save the music Rating into the ID3 Tag, so if I import my existing media library into iTunes I will lost informations about favorit songs
I have also installed many programs with settings, login information and other data on my iPhone. How I can keep this information?

Where is your computer's backup of all important data that should include your iTunes library and should have been created or updated immediately before installing a new OS? Did you lose all important data when doing do or just your iTunes content? The iPhone is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device.

If you don't have your old computer, but you made regular backups of it, restore the most recent backup using the backup software that you used to make the backup. You will have to read the instructions for it.

Syncing with new computer
1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases: FIle>Devices>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything form the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.

Make a new Apple ID for her.
Use it on her iPhone 4S for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime.
Use your ID on her iPhone 4S for iTunes and App Stores.
Sign in with your Apple ID on iTunes Store (on iTunes app of her new computer)
Authorize her new computer with your Apple ID in iTunes (iTunes menu>Store>Authorize this Computer)
Check "Share my Library on my Local Network" in iTunes Preferences in your and her computer
Sign in Home Sharing of her iTunes with your Apple ID.
Copy all the Music she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Copy all the apps she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Export all playlist as xml files from the old computer to the new one.(right click on the playlist to export and "File>Library>Import Playlist to Import)
Sync her iPhone 4S with all content she wants from her new computer (all data from the old computer will be deleted)
Are you sharing Contacts or other data from iCloud?
Be careful or ask for help about moving from iCloud account to another one.

My 3GS is dying and it's synced to an older computer. I have tons of datafiles as well as apps, music, text messages, etc. that I need to get moved to the new iphone4 I'm getting. Then I need to move the sync to a newer computer so that I can sync the new phone and new computer.

for the photos, other music/movie not from itunes, you'll be needing a third party application
for contacts, calendars , photos from camera roll : you could just directly transfer it from your phone to the computer.

If you have access to your old laptop (and it's still working), ideally, you should transfer your complete iTunes library from your old PC to your new PC. If you can and want to do it that way, please post back.
Otherwise, iTunes syncing is generally in one direction, from iTunes library to iPod. You cannot use iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do an Internet search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links. (The CNET article seems to be popular.)
Once the song files are on your computer's drive, you can add them to your new iTunes library.

I have had a total meltdown of my system and have had to rebuild my computer because of a lightning strike which took out my main computer and my backup system therefore I do not have a way to restore all of my old files. When I rebuilt my computer I decided to go with Windows 7 rather than staying with Windows Vista when I attach my Apple iPhone to the new computer and tried to sync it, it tells me that it wants to wipe out everything on my phone. My iPhone was backed up to the cloud but I do not see way to restore it from the cloud and I do not want to lose all of my apps and data that are on my iPhone. I have gone to the Apple online store to see if I could restore the apps that I have purchased from their and have not been able to find anything that relates to reinstalling all the apps that I have purchased as well as my bookmarks and addresses as well as a lot of the data in documents to go and do not want to lose them as it is the only place that I have them left. How do I do this without losing all of my apps and data that is on my iPhone?
Please help out of this nightmare and keep me loyal to iPhone.

Can I use my dad's computer and library to sync the new ringtone to my phone or no?

I am on vacation and am trying to download a different ringtone to my iPhone but since my home computer is a desktop and at home I am on my dad's computer and want to know if it is possible to sync a ringtone to my iPhone through my dad's computer. When I open up iTunes it is his library and I know there is no way to access my library but i downloaded the ringtone to his library and don't know what will happen if I try to sync. I don't want to because I don't know if it will put his information and music and apps on my phone and put all of my iPhone stuff on his computer. Essentially, can I use my dad's computer and library to sync the new ringtone to my phone or no? If so then how?

If you sync with his it will erase everything you put on your iPhone from your desktop computer and replace it with everything from your dad's computer.
I'd recommend waiting until you get home.
