New computer. Apple support?

Hi, I just bought a new MacBook Pro and thought I read somewhere that I get 3 months of free support etc. I live in Cuba at the moment and, while there are no apple stores here, am wondering if there is any 'online' support available (aside from posting on this forum). There are some questions I tried to ask on here that sometimes don't get answered and I think it would be better to ask an apple tech support directly. Anyone know what I would have to do to access this support while it's available? Is there any emailing support that anyone knows? Thanks!

If you didn't already do so, authorize your computer for the new ID by opening iTunes and going to Store>Authorize This Computer. Then sync your phone with iTunes.

Music is intended to go one way: from your computer to the iPod. Going the other way is contrary to the design and is not trivial.
If you had a Mac and its hard disk failed, you would use Time Machine to restore its contents to a replacement disk. A disk failure would be a non-event. If you replaced your Windows computer with another Windows computer another failure is just a matter of time.

iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads etc) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

IMac crashing, New to Apple Support...Does this mean anything:

After one year of using it without issues my iMac began crashing occasionally. I timed it. . . every 23-24 minutes I'd get a spinning colored-wheel. . . I repaired permissions and this improved the frequency of not crashing to about every couple days. Today, it crashed (maybe) three times. I am new to things-Apple. . .

Welcome to the forums!
If you are having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

Needing some help with Time Capsule Error. New to Apple Support and not super tech smart.

Can not get the MacBook Pro to back up to Time Capsule. Can any one help me with the following Error Please?
The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/XXXXXXXXXX MacBook Pro.sparsebundle” is already in use.

We don't see that error much but it is about the easiest to fix.
Pull the power on the TC.. count to 10. Plug the power back into the TC.
Viola.. working TC again.

Dealing with Shared Libraries after moving iTunes library to new Computer

I have recently purchased a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch) with 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. Previously, I had my iTunes on a Dell PC computer. Using an external hard drive, I transferred my iTunes library over to the Mac. After trying to sync my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1.2), I discovered that I wasn't able to sync my music. In my attempt to fix this, I tried several things. I actually purchased iTunes Match, hoping that this would somehow fix this problem, but it didn't work. I tried restoring my iPhone to factory settings after completely a backup. Again, this did not work. I have tried to delete my library and add it back following the specific instructions found on the Apple Support site (How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support).
When my iPhone is plugged in and I click under iPhone settings Music, the only option I have to work with is iTunes Match is On and syncing voice memos. There is not the option to sync music library.
I feel that somehow I have created multiple libraries or messed smoothing up because I can't even transfer music on to my iPhone manually. It's like my iPhone won't recognize the library on my iTunes. I am using the 12.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am using window 7 on my old laptop right now. I would like to transfer all of my song along with rating and play to my new computer which is also using window 7. Does anyone know how to do it? I have try home sharing but I just transfer only song not rating and play.
I have tried consolidate method however not all my song are transferred especially the new songs I recently add.
Please help me.

How do I download music from my ipod nano to my itunes on my new computer?

After buying a new laptop, I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes but after hooking up my iPod nano and turning on my home sharing the songs have not transferred from my iPod to my iTunes. I am not sure what else I need to do. If I sync my iPod and try to update it with my newest song purchases it will erase all of my old songs that are now only on my iPod.

For future reference iPods are not designed or suitable for use a data storage device.
Also, there is a built-in limitation such that any iPod can only be synced with one library a time. When you install iTunes on a new computer, and do not transfer the complete library (database, media, artwork, ...) from your old one, iTunes will recognize this as a different library from that used for previous sync operations and will always erase the current content of the iPod before syncing from the new library.

I keep this as a copy and paste. It's the same process for Mac as it is for a PC. Read it over and see what you think. Post back if you have questions.

1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your Mac and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.

New computer, transfered music via external hard drive, library there but music wont play, message "The song " " could not be used because the original file could not be found. Tech did everything, said call Itunes support

New Computer
transfered Itunes library via clickfree backup. New computer Tech support(Premier PC) did this, Now can not play library within Itunes. Message says "The song " song name " could not be found. Would you like to locate it? Same Tech tried different things via on line support could not fix and said call itunes support and say Itunes will not play on new computer.

I was given the option to locate the file where the song is held. If so select "locate" and direct it to the folder / file where the song is and open it. itunes then will give you the option to use this process to update all of your library. OK that as this will do it automatically instead of doing them one by one. I hope this helps.

I just bought a new computer and have tried syncing my iTunes library and iPod 160gb classic to the newly downloaded iTunes on my new computer. It is not working.

Please can somebody help? I followed the instructions on the support page for transferring music from computer to another by downloading the music files then putting them into the iTunes music file on the new computer. Unfortunately, iTunes on the new computer is not recognising the files. I have turned on home sharing to see if I could transfer them that way. It seemed to work then disappeared entirely. I tried connecting my iPod to see if it would recognise it that way. It does recognise my iPod but not the music in it and will not sync with my new computer.
Sorry if this is a boring subject that everyone has had a problem with but I am not able to get a proper answer on the internet. This should be easy not rocket science.

The best way to get your music onto your new computer is to create a backup of your iTunes libray from your old computer to an external drive. Follow the steps in this article:

ITunes can't locate the songs that I bought from the iTunes store on my new computer

I just got a new computer today and I backed up all my songs from old computer onto an external hard drive. When I sent my songs over onto my new computer and freshly downloaded iTunes, the songs that I actually purchased from the iTunes store won't play. It says that the item cannot be located.

More than likely iTunes was set to read the media on the external drive. If this is the case and the drive is not connected when attempting to play music, you will receive these alerts. The other possibly is that iTunes is not directed to where you placed the media on the computer. Here are the best troubleshooting articles that direct you on how to correct this issue.
