New computer - cannot get it to detect multiple monitors

Just bought this 4 days ago. Have updated windows, nvidia, tried re-installing the OS (Win8) and followed directions given by Nvidia and customer care people from where I bought machine.
I can't get Nvidia or Windows display settings to recognise that there are 2 monitors.
However, the secondary monitoris shown as a 'hidden device' in computer management.
I have tried every possible configuration in connecting both monitors, they work perfectly fine as a single monitor, but am I missing something here or could it be that there is a fault with the DVI ports on the computer?
Any assistance would be grateful in resolving this - or it's back to the shop.

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion p6-2489ea Desktop Computer. Based on the specs, this model has motherboard integrated Intel graphics via (#3) DVI-D (digital only) and (#4) DVI-I (digital and analog) as shown below;
However, this model has a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 graphic card installed which disables the integrated graphics and the only usable ports are the (#1) HDMI and (#2) DVI-I shown below;
Additionally, support of the two integrated DVI ports is based on a compatible CPU being installed and is indicated as such in the specs listed below;
Integrated video is not available if a graphics card or an Intel processor ending with “P” is installed.
A processor that supports graphics is required for integrated graphics to be enabled
Integrated graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD (DX10.1)
Either integrated graphics or the PCI Express x16 slot are usable at one time; they are not usable concurrently
Please provide the brand and model numbers of the monitors you are attempting to connect to your computer. This information is needed to determine if both of your monitors can be supported can be connected at the same time.

Got new computer--cannot get Google toolbar to show up tho have downloaded it several times.

Transferred Firefox and other programs to new computer; however, my Google toolbar (especially bookmarks of concern) did not transfer. Hello there dinadinadina,
It sounds like you have modified the password settings for your Gmail account after changing the password. Thats where I would have started too. Next I would restart the device and test it one more time, and then remove and add the account again in Settings:
Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Restart your iOS device.
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the affected email account.
Tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.

It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

I am switching to a new computer. Itunes doesn't detect my ipod

I am swithching to a new computer and iTunes doesn't detect my iPod. I have loaded iTunes on the computer along with all my music and play lists. When I connect my Pod to the system, the computer recognizes it but iTunes doesn't.

OK, I was able to get iTunes o recognize my iPod touch using the following procedures:

Need help re-synching iPods with new computer and getting iTunes to recognize our iPods (it doesn't even recognize them when they're plugged in).
Hubby wiped my harddrive for me, so now I need to get everything back in proper places. I'm using windows XP and installed iTunes once again (I believe it's version 8). I also installed all of my iTunes songs. Now I need to know where to go from here. We have 3 iPods and I need to get them all synched once again. I know how to create different libraries for each of us, but I can't figure out how to get our songs back into our iTunes libraries. When I open iTunes and plug in an iPod, iTunes doesn't even show that an iPod is plugged in.
What do I do now to get each of our iPods synched with our own libraries?

Thanks Zevoneer. The "Restart ipod service" worked and itunes is now recognizing my ipod! Hooray!
Okay, now how do I synch all of our ipods with our individual libraries (I don't want all of my kids' songs and vice versa)? We each have hundreds of songs on our ipods that we don't want to lose.

My iTunes told me I need to uninstall mobile device support and iTunes. I did. The tried to reinstall iTunes and told me my computer cannot get rid of old iTunes. Help!

Plug my iPod into computer and iTunes told to uninstall mobile device support and iTunes, I did and as I try to reinstall iTunes, it told me my computer cannot get rid of old iTunes and to contact technical support. My computer is hp windows and my iPod touch is a 3rd generation I believe.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

first make sure you are installing the right product from the original disks/saved download, as there are multiple similar products. Did you buy direct from Adobe?

New computer build, getting worried. CS2 to CS5

Times have been tough the past several years but I can finally afford a new computer. i2500k, 16GB RAM, 2TB storage as well as MS Win7
I've been reading multiple horror stories though of trying to get an upgrade from CS2 to CS5 on Win 7.
My case may be even worse, since my CS2 is an upgrade, so I have to install my old CS disk, than my old CS2 upgrade, all 32bit, than attempt the upgrade to CS5 (PS)
Has MS ironed out their compatability issues since the release of Win 7?
Is there an easier way than going through 3 installs ???

Yes, much easier.
Install Photoshop CS5, then when it prompts with the following dialog select Photoshop CS2 and enter the serial number from Photoshop CS2.
Yes, that's all you have to do.
And by the way, Photoshop works just fine on Windows 7. It's designed to do so. Can you name any particular issues you have heard about and are concerned with?

New computer - cannot reinstall CS2

I got a new computer, and cannot install CS2 Windows. It is an upgrade. I have Photoshop 5 and Illustrator 8 on the machine, however the installer keeps telling me it cannot find Photoshop and therefore will not install. I contacted Adobe, who told me that since CS2 is "old" they will not help me reinstall it unless I pay $99. Quite frankly I am completely upset since I've been using several Adobe products for years.
Anyway, can anyone tell me how to get CS2 to install? I am on Windows XP Pro.

I don't remember the technical requirement for installing CS2 but I do remember a bug that would keep the installer from seeing an earlier version if you tried to validate the install by simply inserting the CD. It wouldn't work on a DVD drive.
That said how did you get it installed on your old computer? If you didn't need to call then there's a bug in the CS2 installer that fails the verification if trying to do it by inserting a CD into a DVD drive. If that's the case, use a CD drive. Depending on your O/S you could also try installing PS 5 (but I wouldn't do that with Vista.

Transferred my iTunes to a new computer cannot find music files

Recently I got a new PC laptop. I backed up my iTunes from my old laptop to an external hard drive and transferred them to the new computer. Although the song information appears in my iTunes window, when I try to play them I get a message that the file cannot be found and would I like help locating it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Something whet wrong with your migration process, that much is clear.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. It may be possible to simply slide the media folders into the location that iTunes expects them to be.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .
