New computer, downloaded a program and it now will not uninstall program

I recently just bought this laptop and I downloaded Windows Office 365 proplus, (basically it says office 2013 version in all of the programs,)  package from my schools website for me to do school work.  I ran into an issue first with being able to log into the program for verification to be able to even use the program, so I dug out my disk that I own of the Microsoft Office home and student 2010 version and installed that as well on my computer from my disk.  This program works for me so I went to unistall the 2013 version on my computer and it first popped up a box that I honestly do not recall what it said but it gave me 2 options to unistall program, I chose 1 option and hit accept.  The Microsoft office program is still on my computer, it never deleted/unistalled, and I have tried waiting for a day with computer on, I have tried restarting, I have tried shutting down and starting back up computer, but everytime the program is still there and I try to uninstall again and it will not let me do anything, when I double click on the program and unistall button the following message appears "Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed"  Can I please get assistance to delete this off of my computer because I do not want it and can not use it.  Thanks.

HI ,   Welcome to the HP Forums!
It is a terrific place to find answers and suggestions!
For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide.Learn How to Post and More I grasp that you downloaded and installed Office 365 Pro plus that your school provided but were unable to log into it.You had an Office 2007 and installed it and is working fine. You tried to uninstall the Office 365 and r and it first popped up a box snf  you  do not recall what it said but it gave  2 options to uninstall the  program,  You chose option 1 and hit accept.  The Microsoft office program is still on your  computer, it never deleted/uninstalled, and  you have tried waiting for a day with the  computer on.  You have tried restarting. You  have tried shutting down and starting the  computer back up, but every time the program is still there and if you retry  uninstall again and it will not let you  do anything, when you  double click on the program and click the  uninstall button the following message appears "Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed" First I would open task manager.Select the Office 365 and force quit the process. Next I would restart in safe mode and retry uninstalling the Office 365. HP PCs - Windows 8 Safe Mode Here is a link from support.office.com that will also provide options for uninstalling Office 365. Uninstall Office 2013 or Office 365 from a Windows computer If you are still unable to remove it you should either contact your IT department of your school or Microsoft for assistance. Microsoft Contact us You can always to a recovery back to factory which would remove all programs you installed and return it back to the original condition. HP PCs - Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8) During the recovery process there is an option to backup your personal files to prevent data loss. HP PCs - Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8)   To say thanks for replying please click the thumbs up button below. If this resolved your difficulty, be sure to tell other people by selecting solution provided. This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

I dropped my iPhone 4s and the back cracked and it now will not turn on. I was wondering if anyone could give me an estimated price to fix it. And I do have insurance on it with best buy. I'm on Verizon's phone plan so I don't know if it would be cheaper to have it fixed with Best Buy or Verizon. I cracked my iPod a little bit ago and got a refurbished one for free with the insurance on it but I don't now if it would be different because it is a phone. I don't know really anything about this stuff so any information that could possibly help me is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That's only for the iPhone 5. On the 4 and 4S, they can repair the back glass in store for $30. They will not replace the display on a 4 or 4S. They must replace the entire phone. Replacing the display on them requires disassembling the entire phone, which they will not do in store.

  • I bought a new mac with software installed and my username will not update from another account?

I recently bought an new power mac with Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro Installed.
When I updated to the new OS X operating system, they need to be updated as well. And will no longer work.
But it says it is on another account. Not sure what account. How do I find out what account they are on? How or can I do I move them into my other account?
The Power Mac is registered to the account I am logged in on.

Before buying a second-hand computer, you should have run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, whichever is applicable.
The first thing to do after buying the computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. Changes made by Apple over the years have made this seemingly straightforward task very complex.
How you go about it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
    1. If you don't own another Mac
    a. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
    b. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
    c. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    d. Some 2010-2011 models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you can't reinstall 10.6 even from the original media, and Internet Recovery will not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
    2. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    3. Partition and install OS X
    a. If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
    b. Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the  Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
    c. An unusual problem may arise if all the following conditions apply:
OS X 10.7 or later was installed by the previous owner
The startup volume was encrypted with FileVault
You're booted in Recovery mode (that is, not from a 10.6 installation disc)
In that case, you won't be able to unlock the volume or partition the drive without the FileVault password. Ask for guidance or see this discussion.
    d. After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
    e. Run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
    4. Other issues
    a. If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
    b. If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
    c. When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like.

  • I downloaded adobe 11. and it still will not read my bank statements,it used to read them fine, whats

I have downloaded adobe 11.0 and it still will not open and read my bank statements,it used to work fine until I downloaded the newer version, whats wrong?

There is no 11.5 updates avaialble for Adobe Reader. Also deleting the Adobe Reader 11 is not right way to uninstall. Could you please do a clean uninstall of Adobe Reader 11 or what ever version you have from Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall Program and then re-install the latest Adobe Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/

  • New computer, downloaded 4.0 and now find out Norton is not supported. Want to downgrade to old version of Firefox (3.6.14). How

Found of forum that Norton 360 is not supported which has caused me a lot of time trying to troubleshot new computer. Want to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.14 but can't find any links

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6.* you can uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • New computer, files always stored on external drive, will not transfer

Forgive me for this question if it's been answered before, but I've searched through the forums and have not found an answer so I hope you can help this clueless newbie.
My old computer crashed. All my music files have always been stored on an external hard drive so I thought, no problem, right? I installed iTunes on my new computer but I cannot figure out how to transfer and synch my iPod. I thought I had successfully transferred all my purchases, but now I get an error message that my iPod is synched with another iTunes library and all I get are error messages when I tried 'erase and synch.' Only half the music I had previously now shows up on iTunes, and only old playlists that I don't have on my iPod anymore. At this point, I'm willing to start all over as long as I don't lose my purchased items. I can reload everything else. Is there hope for me?

+my iPod is synched with another iTunes library+
What that message means is, your iPod is synced to the old ITL database file from the crashed PC.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1660
+Only half the music I had previously now shows up on iTunes+
    That means either
    a) all the music was NOT on your exHD when you rebuilt the ITL database on thenew PC
    b) or all the music WAS on your exHD, but it hasn't been added to itunes yet
You can start with a new blank itunes library using these directions
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iTunesWin/8.0/en/15502.html
Make sure the preference to copy files to the itunes folder is turned off, so you don't create tons of duplicates.
Drag the top-level music folder from the exHD over into the itunes Window.
Are all your songs, there now? If so, it would be safe to erase and sync your iPod to this new library database

  • Xpj file disappeared and RH8 now will not open

I was working in RH8 on Friday (4/29)and I clicked Save. The application (RH8) closed/crashed/disappeared (which occurs occasionally). I re-opened RH8 and browsed to the project and double clicked the xpj file. I received an error that RH could not find the file (remember however, I clicked on it to open). I was never able to get the file open even though I could see the xpj file. I loaded the project on a thumb drive and took it to another computer and received the same error.
I zipped the file just because I wanted to have a back-up. I should say that I was having problems with RoboServer 9 and took the project out of RSC 4/22 so that I could launch the WebHelp project on the intranet on 4/24. I have made several updates to the file and republished it for 4 days before the crash.
I opened RH8 and clicked open from the starter page. The application did nothing, well actually it froze and I had to go into Task Manager to shut it down. So I did the usual reboot and tried again. Same thing happened.
Next step was to go to the menu, File, Open...froze again. Now I can open RH by double clicking an xpj file (from another project because as I said the project was working on the xpj file disappeared.) However I still cannot open RH itself by using Open or the File/Open option and I have to do a Task Manager shut down.
First I deleted and re-installed RH8. Problem continued.
So, I delete CS2, and reinstalled the entire suite. Problem continues.
If I go into my zip file, you can see the xpj file and if I double click to open...it does open but no topics are in exist inside.
So then I took the version (from thumb drive) that I saved to use on another computer and double clicked the xpj file to open (because this is the only way I can open RH8). Now the error message says that the project is from an earlier version and is no longer compatible. I have version 8.0.2.208 installed and it says there are no updates.
    HELP!
    Make yours and Incredible Day,

I called the helpdesk and they repeated all the steps I had already done. I had held off from deleting the cpd file and xpj file because I knew there was about 60 hours of intense work that I would potentially lose.
I had restored my computer to several different days in hopes that I could go behind the corrupt file. It looks like the corruption occurred behind the 60 hours...boohooohoo!
However, deleting the cd and xpj and opening the hhp with RH* was the only soution that solved my problem. An yes I lost all the work.
To answer your question E was a thumb drive. I took my project off my computer when uninstalling and re-installing software. Just to be safe.
I think I may have found the source of my corruption. Almost all of my documents are imported from FM8 or 9. They have .css that I convert to RH .css. There is one FM style that in particular most often will not convert even after I manually change it. It will revert back to the FM_RED style from the FM .css. This styel is red text put in to highlight recent changes. I noticed in all the FM documents that the red text has never been changed back to black even after 2-3 years. I came to the conclusion that it was never changed because the FM doc would not allow it to be changed.
While in RH I can manually convert the color to black but I cannot map the style to any other RH style where it will convert. Sometimes it will let me manually convert...sometimes. There are over 400 topics with this FM_RED style.
    So many issues....
So, this  original corruption may have cause my search function to break. The published webhelp file looks for the search words, returns 100% but no results are returned. This is however not only "all" search items.
The problem seems to be in the whfbody.htm and length is "null" line 552. which I think means the search results are too large.
Any ideas on the search function or should I start a new thread?
    Incredibly, Verlean

  • Have downloaded ver 7 but itunes now will not open

Have downloaded the latest version of itunes but this will not open and i get an error message to say that the folder cannot be found and points me to my music. All my music is in that folder but I cannot get itunes to load. have tried to uninstall and reinstall but this still happens....please could somebody help?

have just got in from work and we are now back to the original message that you quoted before regarding the default location in the music folder....
with that one, the best place to start is with the following document:
iTunes for Windows: "Disk is locked" or "iTunes folder cannot be found" when installing or opening iTunes
... but if you run into the complication where My Music doesn't appear as an option in TweakUI, perhaps try the alternate technique from the following Nigel Carpenter post:
    Nigel Carpenter: re: Itunes problem

  • Bought a new computer, transferred all my music.  Itunes will not let me sync my ipod because it says I have 2 computers.

I purchased a new computer and transferred all my itunes music by copying the music and transferring to new computer.  When I try to sync my ipod, itunes
says that I already have another computer.  The other computer no longer exists.  How do I rid the identity of the old computer?

If the Erase and Sync option does appear when this prompt comes up, restore the Nano to factory settings and then resync all your content back over to it from your new iTunes library.  This process will allow the iPod to associate itself with the new library.

  • Firefox will not uninstall and I've tried everything

I downloaded firefox, and I am trying to uninstall it, and no box pops up saying that it is uninstalling. I have tried all the directions that this website has and none of them work. I have restarted my computer and it still will not uninstall. I'm starting to get sick of this quick and when I go to talk to tech support they tell they are closed. Not so great on customer service here and I need some answers and need them quick. I do not want firefox and wish to take it off and cannot. It has been nothing but trouble from day 1!

I keep trying to uninstall Firefox in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and I keep getting a "firefox must be closed" error message and Firefox isn't even RUNNING. It flat out will NOT allow me to uninstall this program! Firefox used to be a good browser, but this SUCKS! I'll just stick to Internet Explorer. At least I don't have the problem with this damned searchnu.com/406 browser hijacker popping up in IE!
