New computer, how to mimic old one?

I have a new computer and just installed Firefox. But if I restart and then load Firefox, only that instance loads. Before, all opened pages opened again, which I prefer. Is there a setting for this?
Also, there was a form filler add-on? What is that name?

Go to '''TOOLS''' then '''Options window''' then '''General panel''' then '''STARTUP '''session in''' When Firefox starts''' scrool and choose '''Show my windows and tabs from last time''', click '''OK''' to save it, exit firefox and restart it.
see for more info : [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Options%20window%20-%20General%20panel Options window - General panel]

thank you

Have CS5 on current PC, Win 7 64bit; how get *.exe to transfer to new computer after remove from old one?

Baffled by multiple links; found one I think(?) I need. CS5 12.1.
It's basic, so I assume that one goes with CS5 Design Standard, but do not
    know. Thanks for answer(s) again.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

  • I got a new macbook air and took my old macs back up and put it on the new macs desktop.  How do I put my old files and apps to have this new computer look like my old one?

    Help!  Please!  Thanks so much!!!!!

Well, I don't know how you made the backup nor how you restored the backup. However, you don't put an entire backup on to the Desktop.
I suggest you do the following:
Open Users & Groups preferences. Click ont the lock icon and authenticate with the admin password you are currently using. Click on the Add [-] button and create a new account named "temp" (no quotes) and give the account admin status. Assign any password you want (but assign a password.)
Log out of the account you are using and log into the new, temp, account. Open Users & Groups preferences, click on the lock icon. Authenticate with the password you used for "temp." Select the other user account (not the one named Guest) and click on the Delete [-] button. Select the third removal option and click on the OK button.
Connect your backup drive. Open Migration Assistant in the Utilities folder. Select the option to migrate from another Mac or connected hard drive or select the option to restore from a Time Machine backup if TM was used to back up your old computer. Restore your old Home folder, third-party applications and support files, and system preferences per instructions in Migration Assistant.
After the migration has completed (will take several hours) log out of "temp" and log into your newly migrated account. Open Users & Groups preferences. Click on the lock icon and authenticate with your normal account's password. Select the "temp" account, click on the Delete [-] button. Select the third option and click on the OK button.
You should now have just one user account. The one migrated from your old computer.

  • Can I use my original aperature install disc to install on my new computer? not using old one any longer.

How can I use my original aperature install disc to install application on my new computer? I am not using my old computer and don't want to have to repurchase this application.

You are  allowed to do this. Are you asking how to do it? Just put it in the DVD drive and install like you did the first time. You'll need the serial number included with the DVD's.

  • Syncing to a new computer WITHOUT having the old one

Hello all, this is very frustrating for me right now. I no longer have my old computer, so I cannot do any of these tutorials on syncing your iphone to a new computer WITHOUT losing all your data. I have contacts on my iphone that are currently no where else. I also do not see any option for this "merge info" when I go to sync. What can I do? I am concerned about nothing else except my contacts, all other information can be erased for all I care, I have music/etc on backup. Any help at all is appreciated.

You don't need Outlook. Windows has an Address book program (Windows Address Book).
But if you prefer to use something else like gMail (which I do). Go here how to set up. http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/
I believe it says it will keep your contacts and merge into gMail contacts, so may want to make sure what is at Google is clean and not full of junk contacts.
Once done, your contacts (and calendar if you setup that up too) will just simply sync over the air any time you make changes, no need to plug into computer. And iTunes will see you set phone to that and will disable option to sync contacts with computer knowing your contacts now sync with Google.

  • New computer and songs on old one

I just got a new computer, partly due to the fact that something was wrong with the one I had. I couldn't download songs from the computer to the ipod or burn CDs from itunes. Is there any way that I can get the songs from my old computer on this one without using the ipod?

You can install the old computer's Hard Drive in the new computer or set up a network and transfer everything.
Personally, I'd install the old computer's Hard Drive just for the extra space, unless you'll still be using the old computer for other things ... in which case, I'd set up a small network ... and not just for this, a network is useful for many file-sharing and associated uses.

  • How to install Photoshop CS2 on new computer, and deinstall from old one.

I have Photoshop CS2 installed on my desktop since 2005. I now want to install it on a new desktop and remove it from the old desktop.
But does that still work since this is an old version? Who can help me?

CS2 activation is no longer supported. Go here for a non-activation copy and new serial number.
Download Acrobat 7 and CS2 products

  • TS2972 Homesharing- can see new computer's library on old one, but cannot see the old computer's library on the new one(which is the one i need to transfer all my music)

Other info- both have latest version, have restarted itunes, the computer, etc multiple times...have turned homesharing off and on multiple times..nothing is working

If the aim is to move the library from the old computer to the new one, don't use home sharing. See this migrate iTunes library post.

  • Hello together, I am Horst from Germany and I have today a new computer. On the old one there are different films and music in i-tunes data base and also in my i-phone. Tey don´t synchonise the old once. What can I do?

    Hallo,
    Danke

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. Some data sharing is possible. See:

i purchased a new computer, how do i transfer all of my itunes content from the old computer to the new one with out loosing songs, apps, pics ...ect

Copy the entire iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer to move iTunes content.
As for pictures, copy them from where there are on the old computer to the new computer... this has nothing to do with iTunes.
Alternatively, if both computers are Windows based, use the Windows Easy File Transfer Utility to move everything.
