New computer, nano can't load previous songs?

I just got this computer. All the software is updated on it for my nano. Unfortunately, the songs I have loaded on my nano won't come up on the new computer. Is there any way to do this or am I just up the preverbial creek? Thanks for any help. Jefbud

Getting music from the iPod to the computer is not an ordinary function with the iPod. There are two main ways to do this. One is that you could download software such as Copypod. The longer way is to enable disk mode and manually add the song files onto your iPod and then to take them off when connected to the other computer.

Moved to a new computer, and can't load iCal events

Hi all,
I just bought a new computer and used Migration Assistant to move over all of the files, which included my iCal database. I no longer have the other computer, but I do have a backup of my user account folder from the old computer (including the Library folder). Does anyone know how I can reload all of my events into iCal using the files in Application Support and Cache? I'm using iCal 2.0.3.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I found the .ics files and clicking on them imported all of my events.

I downloaded Illustrator CS5 earlier this year and i am now upgrading my computer. May I redownload the software to my new computer or do I have to purchase the software again? I am replaceing my old computer and not adding a computer. If so I woud like to know how I go about redonwloading the software.

Erased a new playlist, now can't load any songs?

Hey-
My iTunes told me I had too much memory to put on my iPod, and asked if I wanted to create a playlist with a selection of songs. I did so, thinking I might could actually make the selection. I couldn't, so I deleted it.
Now when I try to put songs on my iPod, it says it can't because the playlist selected for syncing no longer exists. I've tried to look for the settings to uncheck it or whatever you do, but cannot find it.
Any suggestions? I have NO songs on my iPod anymore because of this.

You can.
Create your own playlist(s) and make sure the total size of all the playlists you want will fit onto the iPod.
Now when I try to put songs on my iPod, it says it can't because the playlist selected for syncing no longer exists.
Select the iPod in iTunes.
Click the Music tab and select which playlist(s) you want to put onto the iPod.

You are allowed to have two machines with activated installations, so if you only had one installation, you still have the option to install on a second without doing anything further than that. If you originally downloaded the purchase thru Adobe then you might find a download link available in your Adobe account online. You can also download thru the following page if you can find your version:

Make a smart playlist of your whole library but only checked songs - #4 on http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1801
Highlight all files in that playlist, then drag to the other drive. This isn't preserving any playlists or whatever, just copying files from one drive to another.
You might want to delete the smart playlist this once you are done because it will probably gobble up resources with that many files.

Yes, if you choose the Erase and Sync option (or restore your iPod) you will be allowed to sync your iPod with the new computer.

- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

If they are still in your iTunes library, the answer is "yes", you can resynch to get them back.
If they are not in your iTunes library, and no longer on the iPod, I do not believe they cannot be gotten back easily. You might be able to have someone see if they are still on the disk, but that can be $$$. This is why the ITunes library should be viewed as the primary repository of music, even if you need to purchase an external hard drive or two to have the music and a backup.

You are looking at the drop-down menus at the top of iTunes e.g. on a Mac :
If you are on iTunes 11 on Windows then press Alt-S and the Store menu should appear at the top.
