New Computer / New Elements

I am getting a new computer - Mac with Yosemite 10.10.  I currently have Elements 6 which I don't think will work with it.  I would keep 6 if it did work.   What versions of Elements will work with Yowemite 10.10?
I found a post that says some people have been having trouble with Elements 12 were using tools in the Enhance section cause PSE to freeze.  It notes that this seems related to use of track pads.  Has there been any change to this?  I will be using a mouse.
I found another post where peope who are upgrading to Yosemite need to delete a bunch of preferneces and gives the file names.  I am getting a new computer so can I assume getting rid of preferences does not apply?
On the bottom of the same post it says
So maybe just get Elements 13?  Or is there an earlier version of PSE that is known to work well with Yosemite?
Thanks
Bob

When moving to a new computer and a new version of PSE, it's best to do it in two steps: Upgrade to the new version, then move the catalog (or vice versa, though it's preferrable to use the newer version to do the move, avoiding some bugs in PSE 6).  So I recommend installing PSE 8 on your old computer, converting your catalog to PSE 8 format using File > Catalog > Convert (if it doesn't automatically ask you), and then doing the move.
For doing the move to the new computer, the most straightfoward method is to use Backup/Restore.  However, in your case, in which the photos are stored on a server, that will have two downsides:
- The catalog folder (containing the catalog database and thumbnail cache) will be restored to the server, most likely causing PSE to perform much more slowly.  You want your catalog folder stored on an internal drive (e.g. C).
- The photos will be copied into the backup and then copied back to the server, which will take a very long time.
So I recommend copying the catalog folder from your old laptop to new your new laptop's C drive using Windows Explorer and the server or a flash drive (with PSE 8, it doesn't matter where you put it, though it did matter with PSE 6).  You can find the location of the folder by doing Help > System Info in the Organizer.  Then on the new laptop, you can just double-click the file catalog.pse8db in the catalog folder, and it will open the catalog in the Organizer.  Since you're leaving all the photos on the server, the catalog shouldn't need to be reconnected to them.

    OK there are two related as I see it.
    Each of your pages consists of a solid, opaque bitmap for a
    main image.
    Master Pages, by default, are at the bottom of the layer
    stack. Your
    tabs ARE present, you just can't see them because they are
    covered up by
    the bitmap.
    Assuming you don't have those page images as multi-object
    elements,
    where you can edit the blue backgrounds, there are still two
    things you
    can do, both of which are pretty easy.
    Go into each page and temporarily reduce the opacity of Layer
    1.
    Use the marquee tool to draw a selection around the area of
    the tabs.
    Delete the selection.
    Return the lay back to full opacity.
    OR
    Try dragging the Master page to the top of the layer stack in
    each page.
    Hide or delete the Master page background.
    This option is a little trickier, but I was able to do it.
    Wait for the
    black bar to appear before you release the mouse. You may
    need to try
    this a few times before it works.

  • How to add a new Element to the Context

    Hello all.
    I created in the wdInit()
    ArrayList datas = new ArrayList();
         for (int i = 0; i < 25; i++) {
              MyData data = new MyData();
              data.setMethods();
              datas.add(data);
         wdContext.nodeMyData().bind(datas);
    Now, I want by clicking on the Button "Create new Element", forward user to the other View, which elements are connected with the same model -> context, the new element should be added to context, the user should fill the form and click Save-Button.
    How can I add a new Element to the Collection I created and choose it as a current element?
    If I do: wdContext.nodeMyData().bind(new MyData()) all information will be lost. And I will have only one field.
    If I do it like this:
    IWDNodeElement dynTabElem=(IWDNodeElement)wdContext.nodeMyData().createElement();
    wdContext.nodeMyData().addElement(dynTabElem);
    I get an error: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: NodeInfo(DataComp.MyData): value node is created without a reference
    Well I can pass to my new View a Collection as a parameter and then
    Collection.add(new MyData()) and then bind it. But I find this solution not good.
    Is there any possibility to get the existing Collection from the Context without passing it to the view?
    Can I just add a new element to the existing collection?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hallo Monalisa,
    I did as you said. But I can't add something to my model class, because it is not collection.
                            MyData data = wdContext.currentBelegElement().modelObject();
                   data.add() ???? - don't work
                   wdContext.nodeMyData().invalidate();

    have anybody come across this problem and how to overcome it
    TQ

    Aren't customer task not used anymore?
    Or am I mixing things up here.
    Well the problem isn't a problem it is SAP standard behaviour you simply can't configure customer tasks (type T in PFTC)
    You can only configure Standard Tasks (TS) or workflow templates (WS)
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

    Just had a look at the SAP help and indeed types T aren't allowed anymore SAP gives the solution to copy the customer task, this will automatically change it to a standard task

  • Adding new element to BPEL for use in PL SQL type, has binding errors

    Figured I might as well post this here since I haven't gotten a single reply in 3 days anywhere else :/
    I have a BPEL service that calls a PL SQL procedure. I have added a new element to the BPEL called quote_cart_line.
    All I had to the BPEL to accomplish this was edit 3 files -
    Async_Invoke_Import_Model.xsd (Source)
    <element name="orig_sys_line_ref" type="integer" minOccurs="1" nillable="true"/>
           <element name="quote_cart_line" minOccurs="1" nillable="true" type="integer"/>
          </sequence>
    .....APPS_NI_MODEL_IMPORT_UTIL_IMPORT_SELECTIONS.xsd (Target)
    <element name="ORIG_SYS_LINE_REF" type="decimal" db:type="NUMBER" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
             <element name="QUOTE_CART_LINE" type="decimal" db:type="NUMBER" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
          </sequence>
    .....Transform_NIE_Inputs.xsl (Transforming from Source to Target)
    <ns1:orig_sys_line_ref>
              <xsl:value-of select="/ns1:Async_Invoke_Import_ModelProcessRequest/ns1:import_line/ns1:orig_sys_line_ref"/>

    So this BPEL calls a PL SQL procedure, binding the elements from the BPEL to a PL SQL type (ni_model_import_line). So I edited the PL SQL type to accept this new parameter:
    orig_sys_header_ref       NUMBER,
           quote_cart_line           NUMBER,
           CONSTRUCTOR FUNCTION ni_model_import_line(p_part_number                IN VARCHAR2,

       quote_cart_line := p_quote_cart_line;
    END add_quote_cart_line;
    END;
    .....I invoke all of this, and the new element gets populated in 3 different BPELs, including this one I explained here. But when it comes time to call the PL SQL I am now getting an error:

  • Enhance OVZ9 Screen with a new element

    Dear Experts,
    I know this has been discussed earlier and I had already searched through the forums to see an answer, but I could not find any and hence I am posting this here.
    We have the following business requirement in the ECC ATP functionality.
    1) We have different types of deliveries ( say QR delivery and normal delivery )
    2) We do the ATP check during delivery creation and when we create the normal deliveries ( customer shipments ), we would like to exclude the already created QR deliveries from the ATP situation so that the customer shipments get the confirmation.
    To achieve this, we would like to enhance the OVZ9 screen with a new element say "QR delivery" and we would like to keep it unchecked so that when a normal delivery gets created these QR delivery elements are unselected in the Scope of check and the confirmation is given to customer delivery ( normal delivery ).
    Is this possible ? If yes - I would highly appreciate your guidance on this.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Babu Kilari
    SCM APO Consultant

    To be honest, I do not know why SAP uses these ATP_* views rather than the database table. I doubt it provides any significant value regarding performance. Then again, I am not a performance person so you would be checking with somebody who has performance knowledge.
    we also intend to put this flag in the STO deliveries only for very few of them that undergo a specific process as per our business rules. So, the VBBE entries with this flag will be minimal
    I know I said it earlier but I think it is worth re-iterating. The modification you are proposing is so big that you should check if it is really necessary, especially if you are talking about so few deliveries on the system. There could be a danger that you are under-estimating just how much the availability check (i.e. the code you are changing) is used throughout the system.
    Another approach you could take is to use the EXIT_SAPLATPC_002 exit. This allows you to manipulate the ATP result. In here, you could just select the entries from VBBE that have the flag set (i.e. the flag that identifies them as STO deliveries). and then add this amount to the confirmed available quantity. So lets take this example:
    Stock = 100
    Issues = 100 [50 are sales order delivery, 50 are STO delivery].
    Your scope of check includes deliveries. So at the moment, there is 0 available. You want that there is still 50 available. T_MDVEX-MNG02 will contain the confirmed available amount (so 0). You could implement a select on VBBE in your exit that searchs for deliveries belonging to STO (based on whatever flag you decide to use). Then your code will total the values of these requirements. In this example, there is just one requirement so total would be 50. Then add the total to T_MDVEX-MNG02. This means you have 50 available in the above example, and not 0.
    So in summary, use the exit to:
    - Select the STO deliveries from VBBE (using the modified select you were going to use in LATP2FV0)
    - Total the quantities from the STO deliveries
    - Add the total quantity to the confirmed available quantity (T_MDVEX-MNG02)
    I think this approach is better as you can control in the exit when the STO deliveries are to be considered and you are not modifying code in include LATP2FV0 (I would be very wary of modifying that code). For example, you can put in conditions like "IF CHECKING RULE = "B" then do this", or "IF Transaction = then do this".

    For the same i have check the possibilites in PFAC - Though there is the possibility of creating new Element Like Region and Country . After maintaining Attibute values for it. Still system is not determing right Support Team.
    Any body who have an idea on this . Especially on Containers in PFAC.

    hi Amrita,
    1. copy the rule
    the best is to copy the rule 14000141 with PFAC_RESPO (the container contains the info you need) into a new rule.
    you need to assign the new rule to your package (Z_ERP for example)
    2. change the rule you created
    you go in change mode
    in the responsibilities tab of the rule you need to create all the filter that will lead to different teams
    you click on the create button to create the filter you want and then you need to assign (right click on the line you have created) the corresponding support team
    3. schedule the action with the right parameter
    Once this is done you need to schedule the action SLFN0001_JR_FIND_PARTNER with the corresponding condition (you just created ) and the partner_fct SLFN0003
    pay attention the user interface is not very obvious and sometimes you are quicked out from PFAC_RESPO
    I hope it helps

  • Can't add new element to model node from web service

    Hi Folks,
    we are using the old WebService (not adaptive one) for calling a service on XI. We are reusing the same service for loading the data and also sending them back to the backend to modify, delete or add new elements. Request and response tree structure consist basically of the same structure.
    Now everything works fine so far except adding a new element to the model tree.
    So what are we doing:
    After calling the service for reading (and invalidate on the response), we copy the received data from response node into the request node. All the view forms are bound to the model elements in the request.
    Modifying single attributes worked just fine (from dialog and programatically). A new element we add to the model tree shows up in the dialog and seems to work equally fine, but when we trigger the service call to send the collected data, every change to the model data is send except the new added element. It just won't be send.
    What's the problem here? Seems to me this must be somehow related to the supplying relation role maybe.
    What code do you need to look at and how do I mark code in the new forum editor so it gets displayed properly formatted?
    Thanks,
