New computer only syncs itunes music from ipod but i have other songs not purchased from itunes that does not show up in new computer

i used to have 900+ songs stored on my HP laptop, which i can no longer use and bought new toshiba laptop. when i tried to synce 900 songs from iPOD to the toshiba it only gave me 330 songs and not the entire library stored on the iPOD. have tried sync from iCLOUD as well as importing & exporting songs as shown in the drop down menu from iTUNES, but unable to do the sync process successfully!? do i have to manually reload every song i have already burned to CD onto new toshiba? am i or did i already do something wrong to prevent what should have been an easy sync?? am retired and techno-challenged. really need clear to follow instructions. any help will be more than greatly appreciated...

You can only sync with one computer/iTunes library. To make the new computer the syncing computer:

  • How can I restore a single image from an aperture time machine backup, do I have to restore the entire library? that does not make sense

I hope there has been found a more efficiant solution for this,  how can I restore a single image from an aperture time machine backup, I really hope I don't have to restore the entire library? that does not make sense
    any suggestions?

Did you try browsing your backups in the Finder ?  That is, do not go and "Enter Time Machine".  Instead, navigate to your Time Machine backup via Finder and then manually go to the time period (by folder name) you are looking for ... when you find your Aperture library you can then "Show Package Contents" and find the Master you are looking for.

  • 64-bit iTunes needed for iPod but already have it installed?

  • Why do I have extra songs in my iPhone playlist that are not on my iTunes library?

After doing the iOS7 update (and iOS7.0.2) I decided to add my music to my phone (I never had music on it before).
I discovered that there were 20 very random and obscure broadway songs that were on my iPhone in addition to the 60 songs I just synced. They had the iCloud icon by them, unlike the songs I had just added.
After doing research I found that the broadway songs were technically "purchased" on iTunes although they are not songs I would have ever purchased- in fact I have never once purchased anything on iTunes.  This isn't my worry though, I am assuming it must have been some random free download I did at some point?
I went to settings > music > and turned show all music off.  This did NOT work for all of them and only solved the problem 80%.  There are still 4 of the random song on my iPhone. They DO NOT show up in my iTunes library on my computer and don't even exist on my computer.
With the other songs I can left swip and delete but these 4 songs won't!  Why won't these four songs left swipe?
I am going crazy and have tried restarting my phone, restarting iTunes, re-syncing, turning off the iCloud.  NOTHING WORKS.
Please help.  I am a normally a very smart and tech-savvy person and I cannot for the life of me figure this out.  I don't want to wipe everything- which as a solution is a pretty weak solution.
Why won't certain songs left swipe to delete off my phone when I am in the music app?
Why do I have extra songs on my phone that don't appear on iTunes on my computer?
Where did these songs come from and how do I get rid of them?
    Much thanks!

I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!!  (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
    Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
    2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)
    Should solve your problem :~)

I bought an old iPod touch.  It has loads of music and games on it..  When I connect it to my PC and it goes off to iTunes, it cant find the iPod and asks for a password.  I would just like to have it reset so that I can add it to my account and get some of my music on it.
Is there any way to get it reset and then registered on my accoount please.
I also have an iPad and an iPhone, and this would just be an extra.
    Thanks in anticipation.

Connect the iPod to your computer and restore tot factory settings/new iPod via iTuns. See:

You may have to place the iPod in Recovery Mode to allow the restore. If that does not work try DFU mode and restore.

  • Is it possible to purchase an ipod 4 that does not have a camera installed?

Is it possible to purchase an iphone that does not have a camera installed?  Not allowed to have a camera at work.

Alternatively you can disable the camera app through the restrictions.  This will remove the camera app and facetime app from the home screen, and will also prevent the camera from being used in third party apps.

Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • How can I transfer music not purchased on iTunes to my new computer from my iPod?

I recently got a new computer and wanted the music from my iPod on it. I have a ton of CD's so over half the things I have on my iPod aren't things I purchased from iTunes.
When I went through the process of transferring (it only gave the option to transfer purchases) there were no songs from any of my CDs.
I have tried everything I know how and still I have not found anything to actually help. I've backed it up and there is still nothing new in my iTunes.
Why can I not transfer items not purchased from iTunes to my new computer? How do I do this?
I would greatly appreciate it if you would put an answer in the simplest form possible as I am not very tech-savvy.
I would also like to do this simply and without downloading another program if at all possible.
I have a Windows 7 computer if that is of any help.
    Thank you!

  • HT1848 I just purchased a new computer and I want to sync my itouch music, music from CD's I own and NOT purchased thru itunes, to the new itunes on the new computer.  How do I accomplish this?  Again, music on my itouch to a new computer itubnes library.

I recently bought a new windows computer.  I downloaded itunes on my new computer.  When I went to sync it only allowed my to sync purchased music.  Problem is I have about 200 CD's of mine that I downloaded to the itouch on the previous PC.  How do I get that music to sync as well.  Please help

Copy your music library from the old machine to the new, or from the backup of your old machine to the new.

  • HT1296 i want to sync my itunes to a new iphone that has been restored from a backup on my old one, how di i only sync the music without erasing everything else like contacts and messages?

i have just got a new iphone 4s, replacing the last one i had, and i have restored it from itunes with the data from my last iphone. i want to sync the music to this but it is already synced with the last computer i had, so how do i sync my iphone without erasing every bit of content from my iphone, such as the things that are important to me like the contacts and messages and photos?
    please help!
    Thank you!

Only iTunes content and photos transferred from another computer is affected when transferring iTunes content and photos from a different computer. Contacts aren't touched unless you choose to sync contacts with a supported address book app. Messages aren't included with the iTunes sync process and the same for photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll.

  • Can I transfer music that is only on my iPad that WAS NOT purchased from iTunes to my iTunes account on new computer?

I've had my iPad 2 for about four years now and I can tell that the interface is being very slow and that the screen does not always react when I tap on it, meaning I may have to get a new one sooner or later.
My biggest problem is that on my iPad, I have all of the Beatles' CDs, some of which are from my own personal copies and some are from my former local public library. Ever Since I copied all these CDs onto my iPad, I've moved to a new state and got a new laptop, thus starting with an iTunes account that only has music I purchased from the iTunes Store on it, and no Beatles. The local libraries where I live now do not offer any CDs for borrowing, so I have no way of getting some of the CDs I don't own for free. I really do not want to purchase a bunch of albums from iTunes, as well.
Is there any way to get the Beatles music that is only on my iPad that was not purchased from iTunes onto my iTunes account without removing it from my iPad? Thanks for your help!
