New computer, windows 7 64bit, installed 18.0 but it has never started....it keeps crashing. Help....
I have never been able to start it on this computer, it crashes everytime. I do have crash reports but I don't know what to do with them,
We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
#Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
#In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
#From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
#Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
#Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
#Paste each ID into the reply window on the forums.

New computer, trying to re-install cs2 upgrade but not allowing me to select disc to upgrade from
So I've had ps for years and have bought multiple upgrades since ps5. I have all the discs etc....I have recently bought a new pc and have tried to reinstall my cs2. It of course asks for the proof of original purchase by putting in the original ps5 disc. Once I do, it will not allow me to select a file from the disc to use as proof. Heck, not even sure of which file to select if I could, but I remember the last time I installed it on my previous computer, it automatically detected it and allowed me to proceed. I have seen a few things about 64-bit, windows 7 and even mention of a DVD-rom drive. Can someone please tell me it is possible to install this on my computer?! If I have to buy another upgrade I'm going to puke!

"Isn't the price of technology supposed to go down over time??"Thanks for the replys. Here are the screens that I am getting. The first screen is fine....I enter the CS2 serial number and then go to the second screen. Here is where it asks for proof of upgrade from v5.0 or later. I have the original 5.0 disc and I put that in. Then I select browse. The third screen pops and no matter what I select, the OK button never becomes usable. It is always grayed out.
Now, I have tried to install 5.0 to my computer but can't get past the Install select screen as seen in sceenshot 4. It won't recognize the exe for some reason. I also tried copying everything to a folder on my harddrive and installing it from there but same thing, it won't get past the install select screen.
it does sound like something to do with the optical drive but not sure what to do..

I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled to no avail. But, when I uninstalled I kept my personal data and wonder if that is where the problem lies.
Thank you Tony for your help. I gave it a go but I'm not very technical and it was a bit beyond my level of competence. Since then I've bitten the bullet. I selected those bookmarks that I just couldn't do without and copied and pasted them to a file. Then I uninstalled Firefox and allowed my personal data to be overwritten in the uninstal process. I reinstalled and all is now well and all manner of things are well - I didn't really need all the junk bookmarks I'd hoarded over time.
My wife says I should apply the same 'throw it out' policy to my study. Oh no!! -

Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people. Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0. Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)

My Laptop crashed. I had a full backup on Carbonite so the iTunes folder is there and downloadable. Is there any way just to import that and have iTunes on my new computer (Windows 7) recognize it?
Nothing gets imported. Simply restore the ENTIRE iTunes folder to the new/restored computer.
Download and install iTunes from Apple's website.
The first time iTunes is launched, assuming the ENTIRE iTunes folder is restored to the correct location, it will launch and be exactly as it was prior to the comptuer issues. If for some reason this does not work, close iTunes, hold the SHIFT key while launching iTunes and a prompt will appear to choose or create a new iTunes library. At this point simply point iTunes to the correct location for the existing iTunes library. -
I have a new computer. I've installed iTunes. I don't want to lose the calendar and contact data nor the apps currently on my iPod Touch. Will that happen when I sync?
I don't think so. When you open iTunes, go to "Store" on the top and click "Authorize this Computer." Type in your email and pass, and click authorize. Then, when you connect you iPod for the first time, it should tell you "this iPod is synced with another computer, blah blah." It should give you the option to either "Erase and Sync," or "Transfer Purchases." Click "Transfer Purchases and your content should go into your new iTunes.
If this doesn't work and you still have your old computer there's another thing you can do. I know this works on windows, but I'm not sure how to do it on a Mac, maybe someone can offer some help. Assuming you have Windows, go to Start>Music>iTunes Media and you should see Music, Apps, Movies, etc. This is all the stuff in your iTunes. If you have an external hard drive or your iTunes library is small in terms of file size, you can do this in one go. Transfer the content (as much as you can fit at one time) onto the external storage. Then, put that content on your new computer on the desktop or somewhere where you can find it again. Open iTunes, and folder by folder highlight everything in the folder and drag it into the iTunes library. It should say "importing (content)" or something and then it should be in your library. If you look in your Music folder again, there should now be another "iTunes" folder there with all of your content back in it.

Tip for future reference: when buying software, always keep your serial numbers safe and handy. Don't rely on websites, the Cloud or anyone else to retrieve them for you when you need them most. They are the single most important thing you get when you buy software and they are unique to you personally.
You can download software installers from the web any time but, without your unique serial number, you'll be stuck with using the software in trial mode. -

Browse to C:\Program Files\HP Photosmart 6520\bin for a 32 bit OS, or C:\Program Files (x64)\HP Photosmart 6520\bin for a 64-bit OS.
Right click the HPScan.exe file and then click on Sendto > Desktop and a shortcut will be added o your desktop.
