New Control Accounts

Good Morning,
I need to create new control accounts associated to the customer.
I can classify the control accounts in the chart of accounts but, when I try to enter them in the journal entry just appears the control accounts defined in the G/L Account Determination.
In the G/L account determination I just have available: - Accounts Receivable; - Down Payment Receivables; - Bill of Exchange Accounts Receivable; - Open Debits. In some cases, I need to reflect some transactions in the Account Balance of the customer but in different accounts of the accounts I have already defined in the G/L account determination.
Is it possible in SAP B1? Do you know some way to do this?

Hi,
Control accounts links between BP Master data and the G/L hence it is not at all possible to post on control accounts.If you want to post on control account just choose that particular vendor/customer in journal entry and you ll be able to do the postings.
In G/L account determination whatever the accounts you have defined all will be posted based on different scenario

Hi Vicky,
It would depend how you're running your ageing report date, is it by Posting Date, Document Date or Due Date. Whichever of these date your ageing report is based on (example - posting date), then your adjusting entry should use the same date..example-posting date, as the original one. This way your ageing report remains the same, despite the adjustment.
The system will allow you to use the current date, but consider the point mentioned above.
I presume you will post the adjustment through Journal Entry, in which you can put any posting date, document date or due date, as long as the period is open.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Report any errors it found for Disk Repair, don't need the ones for Permissions Repair.
Try it again & see if anything changed, but have Activity Monitor open & Show All Processes & sorted on CPU%, also have Console open if we can... maybe not when switching, but we'll see.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

I made my main account a parental control account and when I accessed the account created as admin, at the Parental Control options I deleted my main account and now I can't get back in it. I need help with this problem.

I made my administrator account a parental control account, at the time of creating it, the system asked for my administrator password, to restart the computer, and the new account was created. When I accessed that account at the parental control menu I could see my main account on the list and i deleted the account from that list, and now i'm trying to get back to it but I'm not able to because every time i restart the computer brings me back to the account I created. I searched for help on the web and it says to go to users and select the account I want to restore but I can't do it. Please help.

ITunes does not launch with new User Account (Vista)

One of my limited user accounts on Windows Vista because corrupt, so I created a new limited User Account and copied ALL of the files from the old to new.
Now, when I try to launch itunes on the new user account, it will not open at all. Itunes works on my administrative account, with no problem.
Can someone tell me the most pain-free way to resolve this issue. And, whatever solution, will I be at risk of losing my itunes libraries?

Hiya. Delayed again. Browsers being cranky. (I blame the aftershocks.)
It's actually plausible that it was installed in there (by doing a run as administrator on the installer itunes64setup.exe, perhaps). Because that suggests a possible cause for these continual permissions-related problems.
A lot of what you're seeing is consistent with damaged ACLs (access control lists) on files, folders and registry keys. Although it's a lot rarer than it used to be, one of the ways you could get borked ACLs was if a program (like iTunes or QuickTime) was installed in one user account, and then the user account it had been installed in was deleted (or otherwise rendered unusable).
We don't know which particular permissions are stuffed up here. But there's a shotgun approach to fixing them which used to work okay, although it's a bit fiddlier to do on a 64-bit system than a 32-bit system.
I'd strongly recommend setting up a system restore point prior to doing this, so you can revert if things turn to custard.
The basic technique you follow is from the following blog entry *with one important modification.*

*subinacl /subdirectories %programfiles%\ /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=users=e >> %temp%\subinacl_output.txt*
... add another line saying:
*subinacl /subdirectories %programfiles(x86)%\ /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=users=e >> %temp%\subinacl_output.txt*
(The first is to make sure the commands see the subinacl, because it installs in \Program Files (x86)\ on 64-bit systems, and the second alteration is to make sure that the permissions for the 32-bit program files are fixed too.
After doing that (it'll take a while to run), can itunes launch normally in the new account?

How can I set up a new user account that has access to iPhoto data on Admin account?

I have set up a new user account for my son. I have set up his parental controls but I would like him to have access to the data in iPhoto and iTunes from the Admin account. I do allow him access to the applications with the parental controls, but they are empty. Thanks for your help!

Yes. So is the new account I tried to set up.

Are they App Store apps or installs from disc/download?
Both, but App Store purchases are a clear minority, and aren't much of a problem, due to the ease of re-downloading and activating. The downloaded programs are the ones that present the problems. I have not been good about archiving serial numbers and the like, mostly because I've never had a problem like this before.
What specific apps are you having trouble with? For instance, I know that MS Office and Adobe CS5 for perfectly well for all users on my MBP.
This is a very long list. Let me give you some of it, and if you really need all of them, I'll add to the list later.

How to start over with a new itunes account on an old computer

my daughter transferred all her music from my computer, where she had her itunes account, to her new computer and then went off to college. i can finally use itunes for my own music. how do i get rid of her millions of tunes and change the account info from her to me on what used to be a shared computer and is now all mine?
i tried many times to set up a new itunes account but get caught in a vicious loop. i also believe her massive volume of tunes has made my computer sluggish and hope wiping the itunes slate clean will improve processing speed.

Create a new user account on the computer. That is the freshest way. Make sure you designate it as an administrator.
As for her old music/account, if you are 100% sure you no longer need it, you can delete the entire account from the "System Preferences -> Accounts" control panel. Log in using an existing or new Administrative account, to do this. It will provide an option to save the Home folder and the users settings/files. If you are indeed having space issues, and again you are 100% positive she will no longer need anything she had there, you can choose to delete.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Diferente Control Account in A/P Credit Memo copied from A/P Invoice

I have a strange situation in SBO2007. An A/P Invoice for Vendor X was created duplicating an A/P Invoice from Vendor B. The new Invoice was created with a differente Control Account from the assign in BP Master Data of Vendor X. The Invoice waas copied to a A/P Credit Memo but it used the right control account these time. Now I have an Invoice and a Credit Memo that reconcile each other but with different control accounts.. What is the best way to correct or undo these situation ?

This problem is solved in B1 2007A SP01 PL12. To prevent this issue, you upgrade your current B1 version to the PL.
The existing problem in the db can be solved by SAP Support. Log a message to SAP support to obtain the solution.

we were planning to Upgrade from AGPM 4.0 to AGPM 4.0 SP2. The new AGPM should be placed on a new server. Additionally we created a new service account as the password of the old service account has been lost. We granted the new service account Full Rights
in "Domain Delegeation" and "Product Delegation", then stopped the AGPM Service on the old server.
On the new server AGPM was installed using the new service account, then the service was stopped and the archive was copied rom the old to the new server. The customer could edit policies, but not deploy them. Because of this, we changed back to the old
server, but copied the folders that were changed on the new server to keep them up to date.
Now creating a controlled Group Policy from a template causes the error
„The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002). We tried several templates and even created new ones but the problem persists.
The following things do work:
- editing a controlled policy
- renaming a controlled policy
- check in/check out of a policy
- set a uncontrolled policy to controlled (needs to grant the serviceaccount Full rights to the policy before)
- deletion of a controlled policy
- creating a template from a policy

0x80070002 usually means that the source could not be found or located. Make sue that the FQDN path to your templates is the correct one as well as your DNS is
properly configured.

Creating a new user account and curious log in behavior...

First off I'd just like to apologize if that is not the correct place to be posting this, but after looking around I don't see a perfect fit for this topic anywhere, so I figured here should be okay. Also I want to apologize if this turns out to be a rather lengthy post, I just want to ensure that I supply all info...
Okay, so about a month ago I recognized that my current user account is slowly but surely taking longer and longer to "boot up" after I put in my password and tell it to log in. What usually happens is that I click log in, the background image and taskbar almost immediately pop up but nothing else (finder icons, dock, and the multiple icons in the taskbar which include the airport signal, user name, bluetooth status, battery strength, volume, and my iChat and Adium status) the only things to immediately "activate" in the taskbar are the clock and spotlight.
As of late when I log in something especially strange is happening in that after the 5 or so minutes it takes the dock, rest of taskbar, and finder icons to appear my PB will play the default Apple sound of me emptying trash, rather there is anything actually in the trash or not. It dosen't delete the objects in the trash (if any, as I usually keep it empty), just simply plays the sound. I'm not sure if it playing this sound ties in any with the lagging log in times, I just wanted to mention it as the log in times have slowed down considerably since this sound started.
Bottom line given that there is no way that I know of fixing this problem, I am planning to simply create a new user account. Actually I have already created the new account (by the way, it logs in literally instantaneously, and does not make the strange trash being emptied sound) but was looking for info on how to get all of my files from one account to the other. Unfortunately for me everytime that I install a program and the dialog box pops up asking if you want to install it on all user accounts or just the current one I always click "just the current one" (please don't ask why, as there is seriously no reasoning to this at all...), so is there a way to transfer my current programs from one user account to the other without reinstalling??? It's actually not that many programs I'm talking about here (Shapeshifter, Xounds, XFactor, AIM, Adium, Cocktail, Toast, Popcorn, iPod Rip, and Office), I just figured that if I can simply transfer rather than reinstalling them, it would be a lot easier.
However my 2 primary concerns are my iTunes and iPhoto libraries (3330 songs and 4182 pcitures respectively), considering that I've spent literally hours making countless playlist in iTunes, and countless folders, slideshows, and books in iPhoto, if I was to lose all this it would truly be a mess.
I know I'm probably making a big deal out of this and it's an extremely easy and basic process, please just pardon this still pretty new Mac user and help me out:) Also if anybody else has experienced the log in slow down or strange trash being emptied sound I would be glad to hear your experiences.

You can do that (but I wouldn't) this KB article outlines how:

Basically you will copy the folders within your old home to replace the folders in the new home. Here is a list of specific folders if you decide to do that but a better solution would be to sort your existing user.
Here where your important data is stored ("~" stands for "Home"):
Your Data in Documents
~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook (copy the whole folder)
~/Library/Application Support/iCal(copy the whole folder)
Also in ~ / Library/ Application Support (copy whatever else you need)
~ /Library/Keychains (copy the whole folder)
~/Library/Mail (copy the whole folder)
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist * This is a very important file which contains all email account settings and general mail preferences.
~ / Library/iTunes (copy the whole folder)
~ / Library/Safari (copy the whole folder)
~ / Library/iMovie (copy the whole folder)
~/ Pictures/iPhoto Library
If you want cookies:
~/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist
~/Library/Application Support/WebFoundation/HTTPCookies.plist
so is there a way to transfer my current programs from one user account to the other without reinstalling???
As for applications, they should all be in your Application folder(there is only one) and available to ALL users, unless you have put "limitations" or "parental controls" on the account.
Now to the best course of action:
To find the issue affecting your existing user account, follow these steps:
Log back into your normal user account:
1. Navigate to ~(yourhome/library/fonts - drag this folder to the desktop.
      Restart and test your applications.
      If they work start adding the fonts back few at a time.
( Likely suspects are Time RO & Helvetica Fractions, also if you do not use Classic you can trash the classic fonts.)
2. Check Preferences Thoroughly;
      Navigate to ~(yourhome/library/preferences drag this folder to the desktop.
      Restart and test your applications.
      If this works, save the old preferences folder somewhere else or on disk, name it "old prefs" .
** Note: A very important file is the "com.apple.Mail.plist" preference file located in the Preferences folder which contains all email account settings and general mail preferences (hold this one and replace if your problem is not with Mail).
You'll have to go through some of your System Preferences and apps to set the preferences back to how you like them. (Or if you have the time and inclination, "cherry pick" through until you find the problem one or two.)
3. Check Permissions Inside Home Folder
   Navigate to yourhome/library.
   Get Info (Command - i) on folders for apps you are having problems with.
   Open the "Ownership & permissions" disclosure triangle.
   Make sure you are the owner, with "read and write" access.
Click on "apply to all"
   If this is correct, open the "Applications Support" folder and do the same      procedure (Command+I) for the folders with the names of the applications you are      having trouble with.
Note:
The reason to check this is because repairing permissions with Disk Utility doesn't touch permissions inside your home folder.
If the isssue persists navigate to ~/library/caches and drag this folder to the trash, then log out and back or restart. There is no need to replace this folder.

Profit Center Accounting in ECC 6.0 New GL Accounting

I want to make my understanding clear.
If we are in ECC 6.0 and New GL accounting is active and also the One of the Document Spliiting characteristics is Profit Center, it means that all the document must have the Profit center to it.
In this way we can get the Profit center wise Balance sheet.
I hope my understing is clear till now. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Now with this, my next question is , do we really need to Configure the Profit Center Accounting node Under controlling?
If yes, why to do this? Because if we require Distribution or assessment cycle for the Profit center, it can be done through General Ledger Accounting node (New) period end closing process.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Assume you are on ECC 6.0 and you dont create Dummy PC...
If doc splitting is active, you get an error that "PC in Line item XXXX not filled"... System does not look for Dummy PC in that case...
Same behaviour should have been replicated in CRM as well.. Dont you think so?? If I have not activated EC-PCA, I am not supposed to get any error related to Dummy PC... Thats the basic premise of SAP, as far as I know...
When Dummy PC is a feature of EC-PCA, system should look for it only when EC-PCA is active... Though you can say Dummy PC can be created from New GL Menu,, but the basic premise which stil remains is the behaviour is not the same in CRM & Other ECC components like FI, when the PC is not found.... One behaviour is as per EC PCA active and the other is as per New GL PCA active

What is Control Accounts? What is C/A for A/R and A/P?

I have US COA set up automatically by SBO. So all accounts are already set up there.
When I go to: Administration > Setup > Financial > G/L Account Determination:
In Sales (general) tab, I noticed Account Receivable with (...) next to it.
When I clicked it, it will bring window of Control Accounts for A/R.
In Purchasing (general) tab, I noticed Account Payable with (...) next to it.
When I clicked it, it will bring window of Control Accounts for A/P.
1. What is this Control Accounts?
Can I leave it blank as it is? If I left it blank, will it affect financial result? If the answer is it is OK to leave it blank then no need to answer my questions below. If I need to fill it out, then I need help with questions # 2 and # 3 below.
2. Inside this Control Accounts for A/R: (note: we do business Domestic only)
What will be the correct Account Code for Down Payment Receivable? (My guess it is A/R Domestic)?
What will be the correct Account Code for Open Debts? (My guess it is A/R Domestic)?

You can define a G/L account as a control account.
A control account links the business partner accounts to the general ledger. You must enter a control account in every business partner master record. Whenever you post a document to a business partner account, the system automatically adds a journal entry to the general ledger, which posts the receivables or payables to this control account.
Some transactions, such as transactions with bills of exchange, must be posted to special control accounts. Therefore, you can assign these special accounts to predefined transaction types, such as
Open Debts, Assets Account, Down Payments Receivable/Payable or other (country-dependent).
You can also enter default control accounts under Administration  Setup  Financials  G/L Account Determination. These accounts appear by default whenever you create a new business partner.
The system displays the total account balance in the business partner master record. From there you can navigate to the line item display of the account. In the line item display, the system displays the debit values in black and the credit values in green and in parentheses.
If you are working with several control accounts, the system can display the business partner balances separately for every control account. To activate this, choose Administration  System Initialization  General Settings and select the Display Accounts Balance by Control Accounts indicator on the BP tab.
You must have the proper authorization to view the accounts and balances.

Cant create new user account

I have migrated my accounts from my old G5 to new Mac Pro and they all work just fine. However when I try to create a new user account for my youngest daughter whilst everything appears to be fine on creation when i try to switch between my admin acount and her account with the correct password (less than 8 characters) all I get is the starscape with no icons, no dock, no mouse! The only way out I can find is to completely reboot the mac from the power button on the front (power down and power up again).
I have tried deleting and recreating different accounts all with the same result. The original 3 accounts that migrated all work OK.

Well repairing permissions made no difference. But the problem seemed to lay with parental controls, when i made some changes to that in the new acc it worked but will only work with with basic desktop
