hi i have been trying to sort this problem out for the last month. I have updated my billing information and seen that $1 has come out of my new credit card to verify the card. There is money on the card too. I still keep getting an error of the product expiring & this is stressing me out as I am in Australia and there is no way for me to contact adobe as it is in america. I sat online waiting for someone to help me via chat yesterday for 20 mins, finally got through and explained my situation and they said they will transfer me to another department via chat, and the other department never turned up. I am so frustrated, can you please help me?
Hi i tried this and turned my computer off & then back on then logged in and opened illustrator and it still doesn't work

I don't know if this will help or not. I've been having a similar problem for a while. After multiple attempts to update information directly on the Adobe site, I finally got my license to renew just now after signing out of the Creative Cloud client on my computer, then signing back in. It's not the first time I've tried that, it's the first time it actually worked.

Thanks.That's what I thought. But, it occured to me that, like for Apple Developer program you need to have a credit card in your own name, maybe Adobe has similar restrictions.
The credit card is functional, the friend is using it for purchasing stuff on iTunes.
In that case, is it normal for the transaction page to hang after filling in all the credit card info? I did wait for around 15 mins before closing the window. I've even confirmed that no money has been deducted from the friend's account. So, that means the transaction was unsuccessful. I just need a confirmation from someone who has purchased Creative Cloud using someone else's credit card, before trying again. -

Can you post a screen shot of where you are clicking before getting the error, the link that gives the error and the exact error itself? I want to report it but need more info.
Our support can generally change it for you if needed also, which might be a workaround in the meantime.

I would suggest updating your billing information in the iTunes application, signing out of your account and signing back in; and then trying to complete the purchase. If the issue persists, the iTunes Store Support Team can review your account with you.

Are you getting an error message when trying to update your credit card details?
Might be worth clearing cookies/cache or try using another browser.

My husband received an email from Apple stating our account was frozen and we needed to update our credit information. We recently got a new credit card and so went ahead and updated information. They asked about mothers maiden name and social security information. Now we are feeling skeptical. Are these the kinds of questions Apple would ask? That email was a phishing attempt to get your iTunes account and payment details - iTunes accounts aren't 'frozen', and iTunes don't need your social security info.
If your husband entered his card details then he should contact the card issuer immediately and get it cancelled and replaced.
He should also change the password on his iTunes account e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on his computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

Becouse of expire of credit card I updated billing information by providing data of new credit card but system just says "We're sorry, the billing information on file could not be used for this payment. Please update your information.". What exactly is wrong?
Are you 100% sure that every detail of your information is the same in each place?
Make sure that EVERY DETAIL is the same in every place you enter your information

Hi apple, I have currently got a visa $50 gift card. I put it on my iTunes account I have currently ran out of funds on the card. Now even when I try to download free apps or even update, it says it requires a new credit card. Is there a way around this
We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it needs to be valid. Have you tried removing it from yoru account ? On your iPad try tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. -

I don't know where you updated this information, but if you didn't do it directly on the iPad, try updating the card on the iPad itself.
Settings>iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID. Tap on View Apple ID. Enter your password. Tap on Pyme t Information. In the next window, make sure that the new credit card in showing and that all associated information is correct, check the billing address, the security code and the expiration date. Save any changes that you make.
Then try to make another purchase.
