New CS6 Encore User Missing Library Content

I am a new CS6 user and just signed up for the Creative Cloud subscription and downloaded/installed Pro Premire and Encore.  I have a DVD project that is due Monday and there are no assets in the Encore Library for creating menus?
Where is that content ?

Hi John, thank you for the link.  However those instructions do not work for CS6.  In particular I think you are referring to the instructions that say:
On the download page, look at the row with the description for function content. For example, for CS5, look for “Adobe Premiere Pro CS5: Download contains additional ReadMe files plus content (menus, buttons, and backgrounds) for Adobe Encore CS5.”
I have a new subscription to CS6 never having owned CS5 and when you login and go to the download page, the page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps lists all of the software except Encore (and yet if you download Pro Premier it must also download encore because I obviously didn't download it separately).
Any thoughts?

  • Missing Library content.

    I just installed CS 6.
Surprise... no Encore Library Files.  Got Adobe Help notes that said I needed to install the "Resource central libraty content"... which I did, and I now have "Menue Templates" and that's all.
Where are the Libraries for "Buttons, images, backgrounds, shapes", etc?
    Thanks... Marv.

why don't they have the download in plain English instead of calling it "Resource Central Library Content"... i.e. Library Menues, Library Buttons, etc ?
I hear that! Resource Central was (I think; never really dealt with it till it came to this issue) a more centralized repository/resource for functional content (even that word, a years old Adobe term is not exactly "plain English"!). And the term used is just "Resrouce Central" plus "Library content." See how simple?
The problem is that they seemed ot have in the beginning that users would not miss the buttons etc. Boy did we! They could have easily pointed users to the right files/instructions.
    2.  {Many users don't use Encore. Adobe saves a lot of download time by making this a separate install.} So... are they using another program?... or are they totally not making any DVD's?
Most are, guesses on my part, not making DVDs with Adobe products (and the only one is Encore). Some are hi gh end pros usoing scenarist or other expensive top line programs; some are  using other products similar to Encore; and some are hobbyists using more simple template only apps (e.g. windows movie maker; imovie, etc).

  • Encore CS3 missing Library Files

I have installed Encore CS3 and also purchased the Adobe Master CS3 DVD 30 day try out. On three different PCs. Running Windows Pro, tried different user types, MSconfig to turn off program when installing, you name it.... When I run Encore and look for any Library file nothing is there.. just a General Tab and no files. I called Adobe after 45 minutes, 5 different contact people I was told to do a reinstall (duh!).. I did that same problem.
Can anyone tell me how to get Encore CS3 to install the Library content files or where to locate these to install.
    Thanks
    DP

Neither does the full version. I purchased the full version this week and NO LIBRARIES
I upgraded (at least I thought I was upgrading) Premiere and Encore this week. I am close to asking for a refund since I have had nothing but issues with both.
My problem right now is the libraries for Encore CS3. You know the templates for menus and buttons etc. Some people call that content but the useless people in India call the manuals content so I am trying to be clearer.
I bought the downloaded version so please do not tell me they are on disk #3. I download 5 files and installed them. Some of them I re-downloaded and I installed twice. They are.
    - ADBEPPROCS3_ALP.exe (Premiere Pro CS3)
    - ADBEAENCC3_ALP.exe (Encore CS3)
    - PPROCS3_Cont_ALP.EXE (Premiere Pro Content/manuals)
    - AENCCS3_Cont_ALP.exe (Content/manual installer for Encore CS3 manual)
    - AENCCS3_Cont_ALP.7z (3 gig file of foreign language manuals)
I am running on an HP M8040N with Vista Ultimate (32) I of course search the Adobe site and Google and I have seen other people with the same problem. After spending 1 hour with "Tech Support" in India I was told I needed to call Adobe Tech Support Monday thru...you get the idea.
WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR...the pre made Templates, Menus, Buttons, etc. that came with the disk version of Encore.
Can anyone help or am I effed for the week-end and most likely beyond?

Ran into the thing myself, installing the "Functional Content" stuff does nothing, found that I had to scroll down further on page to where it says
Additional solution: Install the Resource Central library content

Then I choose "English" to start the download. Is about 1.7GB I believe, and follow the instructions and this gives you ALL the goodies for Encore!

  • RE: Missing Library Items CS6

    Hello Everyone.
I am Downloading the Missing Library from this Link, Is this  the correct Link ?
    http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/using/download-library-content.html
After I Downloaded the Zip Folder, Where Do I need to copy paste the Items ?
I looked under Adobe/ Adobe Encore CS6, but  I Dont see any folder called Library.
Please let me know where I have to copy paste the files
    Thanks.

    >Where Do I need to copy paste the Items ?
It tells you at that link
Depending upon your operating system, copy the Library, main, Styles, and Template folders from the folder containing the extracted library content to the appropriate location:
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\
    You will then have
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\\Library
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\\Library\Corporate
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\\Library\Education
...and so on for all of the folders

  • Library content, specifically buttons

I've had production premium of CS6 installed since a few weeks after it came out. But... I've not needed to make a DVD until this week. So I just opened up Encore CS6 on my win7 machine yesterday for the first time.
One of the first things I notice is that there's no content in the example libraries. No menus, no buttons, etc. So I search around, find this:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html
So OK, Adobe left it out of the installation package. No one's perfect, and here's the instructions for doing the download. So I do that. Takes awhile, not too painful. Open Encore CS6, and sure enough there's some menus. Not many, but a few. But... no buttons. In any category.
So I close down Encore CS6 and fire up CS5. Tons of menus and tons of buttons.
I'm confused. I would think that there would actually be more in CS6 since it's the later and therefore more advanced product. And the CS6 version has been overhauled so I would think that there's new features to show off with new library content.
Since I don't have it, I have to ask the group: Is this normal? Or perhaps did my download fail? Or something I don't know enough to ask about? The big question is, how do I get the library buttons?

The Encore library content with the buttons is best pulled from here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/using/download-library-content.html
Yes, it links to the same thing as the section lower on the page you linked to which says "Additional Solution: Install the Resource Central library content." But the buttons are there.
I still can't tell what the intent of the change was. I do not think they just accidentally left it out. Encore has varied on the years as to whether the library was a separate download, part of what was called "functional content" on the install disks, etc. But this is still odd. Notice that the download that has the buttons is linked from the blog site?

  • Downloaded Library Content still not showing up

Okay, so in the middle of a huge project I was watching a online tutorial on Encore CS6 about building a dvd menu. Well, the guy goes to his library and has all kinds of options for pre-made menus and buttons etc. etc. These buttons are missing for me.
I do some research and find out that for some stupid reason without letting you know Adobe requires you to download the button and(CS6 Functional Content)premade menus apart from my original CS6 download.  Okay fine. I download the 1.1 gb file, install it, restart Encore, pull up my project and guess what? Still no buttons.
Am I missing something? I'm running OS 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
There are a few ridiculous menu templates in there, but unless I want to let my client pull up a baby crib themed menu at their conference I don't know what else to do. And I can't build a blank menu either because I'm missing the buttons.
What I'm wondering is what exactly did I download and install?
If anyone can help it would be great, thanks in advance.

Adobe has handled functional content various ways, and it has often been optional downloads. But not the last couple versions or so. But this round has been a real mess. But the solution is available.
The step you have completed is installing the "functional content" and includes components in additional to the base Encore library for Encore and Premiere Pro.
On the page you probably used for the download, toward the bottom was the additional material you want.
It is probably easier to get it from this page:

  • Encore CS6 missing Library files

    Hello all freaks.
I have in recent years been CS5 Production Premium installed and then decided yesterday to upgrade to CS6. I bought, downloaded and installed the Production Premium. I installed also package Adobe Premier Pro CS6 additional ReadMe files plus content (menus, buttons and backgrounds) for Adobe Encore CS6.
In Encore CS6 it created the groups Corporate, Entertainment, General, Technology, Travel and Wedding, but there appear no menus, buttons or backgrounds when clicked.
I've looked in the respective folders under Adobe Encore CS6/Library/, but they contain no psd files, only two m2vloc files of about 10-20 kb each.
When I browse the corresponding folders in my old CS5, there is a large amount of psd files with menus, buttons and backgrounds in these folders, but not in my CS6 installation.
I hope someone can help me with a solution so I can move on.
    Thank you in advance.
NB: Although it looks so, I'm not new in the forum, but have been here for the last 10 years. However, Adobe's staff has (at my request) deleted my original profile, as it constantly showed my e-mail address instead of my username/nickname. It did so today again, so I have once again created a new temporary profile until Adobe gets solved the problem.

Step 1: Follow the instruction in the top part: "Solution: Install the CS6 Functional Content"
This will install the basic library. If you have CS5.5 installed, backup your Encore library there; it will be deleted by the install.
Step 2: Follow the instructions at the bottom of the link above: "Additional solution: Install the Resource Central library content"
I just noticed that the link about this topic that was present for months at the top of this forum is no longer there.

When I transferred my data from a 128GB Macbook Air to 256GB Macbook Air (brand new version as of 9/1/13) I end up with 188GB used!   I add up the size of Users, System, Library and Applications and it comes to 90GB.  What am I missing?  How did I "use" up so much space in migrating from one Mac to another?

Did you use the Setup Assistant available at the beginning of the new machine's setup process? Or did you use Migration Assistant later after you had set up the new machine?
If you used Migration Assistant, you generally wind up with two accounts (the new one you set up on the new machine plus the old one you ported over) - that may explain your excessive use of space. In that case, you can either manually combine/remove all unnecessary duplicate files, or you can start over by using Command + R, wiping your drive, and downloading the OS. Once it's downloaded, use the Setup Assistant offered at the beginning of the install/setup process.

  • Does Encore CS6 have a Theme Library?

    Hi guys,
I've been editing with Premiere Pro 2 (back when the Adobe Production Suite was sort of CS2 - only Photoshop and Illustrator were considered CS2 at the time) back in 2006 - which I bought in 2008 because I was a poor university student.
During that time I had a VERY basic Encore Theme library which was a little confused because sometimes you can get a title page but no chapter menu to go with it, or you get an awesome looking Chapter menu, but no title menu and so on.
Before I jump the gun and dive right into CS6 after a long time with CS-ish 2, I want to know
    - Does Encore come with a library of DVD themes? I dont like the idea of having to create my own - I am horrible at creating things in photoshop and illustrator when simple programs like imovie can make dvd menus wiht a long list of menu choices.
    - If so, does it come wiht the package, I hear people talking about downloading updates etc but I cant for the life of me find them on the adobe website.
    - If not, is the a community that shares and uploads ready made themes to go for purchase or etc?
I cant wait to start editing with a new CS, Im really excited - I was so close to getting a new iMac JUST to edit video but Final cut pro X seemed.... cheap as a program and didnt seem powerfull at all, considering the tools arent up to the same level as Im used to using in the past and today (such as rolling shutter and warping tools etc) So I decided to save my money and build a pc workstation - theres 1000 bucks I saved right there.
Oh man Im so excited - I just need to know about this before I make a serious decision.
    Thanks so much in advance
    Leo

You'll see several threads about the problem of getting the "functional content" installed. Bottom line it is there, and you can get it installed.
There is the traditional "library" and a set of "styles." Overall, more than has been there in the past.
The basic install of the additional content (which includes some material for Premiere also), adds only a very few library templates only - no extra buttons, backgrounds etc. That install adds the "styles" folder, so do make that install.
You then must do an additional download, unzipping, and another unzipping, to get the full library content added.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html
The first part I refer to is the top part of that page "Solution: Install the CS6 Functional Content." The second part is the bottom of that page: "Additional solution: Install the Resource Central library content."
Yes, there are also themes and very impressive templates for purchase. See for example http://www.precomposed.com/products/pro_motion_menu_kits/
