New Cubes in Project System Business Content

Hi
I am going through the business Content Help. We have standard Cubes like 0PS_C02 for dates 0PS_C04 for Controlling, 0PS_C07 for Claims and so on
Also I see new cubes 0PS_C021 with different description Dates ( Identification using GUID) and 0PS_C041 FOR Controlling (Identification using GUID) and so on.
My question is what for these new cubes with Description Identification using GUID.

Hi Satish,
    I believe the 0PS_C041 , 0PS_C021 are the used when you create projects in R/3 using cProjects or xRPM. When you create a project in cProjects and replicate it, a corresponding project is created in R/3 which is identified by a 24 character String(this is the GUID). And the cubes 0PS_C041, 0PS_C021 in BW.... are used to store such projects information.

    I a issue which I hope someone can help me with:
    I am lodading data into cube 0PS_C08 and then into 0PS_C04 as per the BC. When I view the BC restricted key figure "residual order plan" i get nothing (blank).
    I look in R/3 I have values for residual order plan. I have looked at the Help on SAP and they say there is some config that needs to be done in SPRO. I dont really understand what config needs to be done can someone help?

    We are trying to install Project Systems Business Systems. We are in process of creating technical specs.
    In the help.sap.com or best practices ,There is no detail explanation is available (Source field,source table or logic to get the field).
    Some of the data sources don't have documentation.
    I hope many of you implemented Project Systems.
    Please share your experiences about finding Source fields and tables.

  • InfoPackages Missing in Project Systems Business Content

    Hi all,
    Just installed PS business content in a BW 3.5 system.  Cubes, ODS's, etc are all OK.  But should there be InfoPackages supplied?

    Usually we will create our own info Packages based on our requirements like what cubes or ODS it should load also it is Delta/init/full. All these settings could be done in our info Packages based on our requirements.

    Most probably you need to update the BI_CONT component in your system via SPAM.
    Go for the latest SP available.

  • PPM 5.0: Assign cProjects New Status to Project Mngt business transaction?

    hello Experts,
    In SPRO -> Project Management -> Basic settings -> Create/Change Status Profile for User Status, I created my own status profile and assigned them to object types.
    Now, for status synchronisation, i need to map Project / Initiative Business Transaction to DFM Business Transaction
    ( SPRO -> Portfolio and Project Management -> Portfolio Management ->Base System Interfaces -> Decision Flow Management Settings -> Status Synchronization -> Map Project / Initiative Business Transaction to DFM Business Transaction)
    My question is : 
    How can I create my own Project Management business transactions?
    if is not possible, how can i assign the standard ones (DX01, DX02, etc) to my own status (ZST1, ZST2, etc) ?

    Hello experts!
    I want to activate ODS-Object 0AUBPVEH from Business Content. With this ODS I have to activate InfoObject 0AUVEHICLE which has 0MATERIAL as an attribute. Our experts told me, that it is not really possible to activate the ODS-Object with using our existing 0MATERIAL and without activation of the new version of 0MATERIAL.

    Please let me know the difference between above cubes for project systems in terms one says 'Dates(Identification Using External ID)' and the second one says 'Dates(Identification using GUID)'

    0PS_C021 - Dates(Identification using<b> GUID</b>)
    Difference is - In New Content 0PS_C021 BW Can uniquely identify a PS Object using GUID which cannot be changed as External ID which was changeable.
    "<i>As of BI Content 3.5.3 Add-On SP2, the Business Content for the Project System (PS) has been redesigned so that an SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) system can uniquely identify a PS object (for example, a project definition or a WBS element) using the object's GUID instead of its external ID. <b><u>The advantage of using the GUID is that it cannot be changed in an SAP system, whereas the external ID can be changed.</u> Previously, if a user changed the external ID of an existing PS object in an SAP system and then uploaded the object to SAP BW, <u>the SAP BW system would create new records for this object instead of updating the existing records.</u> Using the GUID therefore <u>improves the consistency and correctness of reporting in SAP BW</u> for the Project System</b>.</i> "

  • Loading Business Content cubes

    I am new to BW area, and am posting a basic question, Once the Cube is activated from Business content what are the steps to Load data into the infocube and how to identify the right info sources for that cube, can any one please explain?

    the business content from BW already prescribes certain infosources for infocubes (via update rules assigned to them).
    once you have identified which datasources are prescribed by business content activation, you should activate the datasources related to these infosources. replicate the datasources in the source system, then activate the transfer rules in BW. then create an infopackage under the infosources and schedule the extraction.
    you could also go look around in the forums since this has already been discussed in great detail. =)

    When we are trying to install update rules from the BI content for PS module  for the cube "0PS_C02  Project System - Dates",  the
    update rules are not activating. under the cube when BI content activation. What is the issue in activating the update rules from BI content. From BI content the available version objects only will be activated i think. Please rectify and resolve the same at the earliest friends.

    4.    Inventory, for analysis of inventory levels, turnover and slow stock (1 standard cube)

    4. Inventory, for analysis of inventory levels, turnover and slow stock (1 standard cube)
       0IC_C03
    5.. Purchase Orders for analysis of purchase orders, open purchase orders (5 standard cubes)
         0PUR_C01  And also check 0PUR_*

    The most common overviews with respect to sales and distribution can be obtained from CN54N/ CN55N or you can also use CNS54 / CNS55. Tables for the same are VBAK/ VBAP.
    For materials you can refer to CN52N overviews for material components and CO24 for missing parts.
    For resources, CN50N provides the capacity requirements and CMP9 workforce planning.

    Iam having a reporting requirement, having fileds vendor no(0vendor), PO number(EKPO-EBELN), Item no.(EKPO-EBELP),Material No.(0material), Material Description(MAKT-MAKTX), Tracking no(EKPO-BEDNR),Order quantity(0 PO_QTY (OR) 0ORDER_QUAN), Received Quantity(0GR_QTY), Date Received ( ?), Price(0NETPRICE).
    I found these fields for infocube Purchasing data 0PUR_C01 and Infosource  2LIS_01_ITM.
    Could u plz advice me the infoobjects I got correct r not and some info. Regarding the other infoobjects which I couldn’t able to find it.

    I think it will surely have PO number,Item number etc in it.
    If u see that some required infoobjects arent in the std one,u may have to enhance the cube.
    Search in other BC cubes to see which suitable infoobjects u can use.
    Copy out the BC cube and enhance the copy.Name the copy as 'Z(BC cube tech name)'.
