New depo plant settings in SD CIN

Dear Experts,
we have created new Depo Plant, I would like to know configuration settings and assignments related SD CIN, we are using 4.6version with CIN related Settings,
is there any document, I tried in SDN search forumn i did not get, if you have please let me know,

I am aware of 6.0 version for the SD CIN Settings for the Depot excised plant.
But any how i will provide some suggestions ,that may useful to you.
Create the new plant from MM Side.
Create the Plant settings from SD Side like,creation of shipping point, assignment of sales line,,OVFO,OVXC,OVXD,OVL2,OVL3 and create the shipping data like create the plant as depot and then assign to the purchase order in that screen.
and later go the logistics general - taxes on goods and movements - india - basic settings,master data,account determinatinon,and in the business transactions only do the outgoing excises invoices configuration settings.
then create the sto sales process and some other excise sales and then check ,

Hi,
Do all settings in similar way for Depot Plant also as you do for Manufacturing Plant. only following settings is to be done additionally to declare it as Depot in CIN;
SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Basic Settings > Maintain Plant Settings > Here activate Depot Indicator for the Plant
Follow STO Process for this;
1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group :0007 using T-Code XK01.
2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
4. In Pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
7. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
8. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > assign delivery Type & Checking rule
Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
10. After all settings , Create the STO using T-Code:ME21N and maintain pricing conditions of freight and Save.
11. Create Delivery :VL10G
Click on the Background Button after selecting line item
A message is flashed : See log for information> next Click on Log for delivery creation Button >click on line item>click on document button to get Delivery document No
12. Picking, PGI:VL02N
13. Billing:VF01
Save the document and its done
14. J1IIN - Outgoing Excise Invoice
15. MIGO - Goods Receipt against outbound Delivery
16. J1IEX - Capture & Post Excise Invoice
Pricing configuration for STO: -
In SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Schema Determination > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders > Here assign Calculation Schema "RM2000" i.e. Stock Transfer Document to Schema Grp Pur. Org, STO Type (For e.g. UB) and Supplying Plant.
Calculation Schema "RM2000" has condiiton type P101 which will pick up the MAP of supplying plant automatically during creation of STO in ME21N ("Conditions" Tab).
You can create new freight/delivery cost conditions in M/06 and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08
At the time of PI, following accounting entry will get generated;
Stock A/c - Dr - 110 INR (Receiving Plant)
Stock A/c - Cr - 100 INR (Supplying Plant)
Stock A/c - Cr - 10 INR (Supplying Plant)

QM PLant settings - Cost center

HI QM Gurus,
In the inspection lot completion tab for QM Plant settings in customization
we have two feilds
Cost Center - Scrap and Destruction
What is the significance of Cost center feilds in QM Plant settings?
What will happen if I do not use any of these feilds?
Are they only for reporting purpose?
I believe for each movement type we define one cost center.
What is the need to define a different cost center for QM.

Hi Jeevan,
You can post quantities of material from an inspection lot to the following destinations:
1. To unrestricted-use stock
2. To scrap
3. To sample usage
4. To blocked stock
5. To new material
6. To sample reserves
7. Return delivery
In system, Each and every movement will be monitored.
If you are collecting costs on manufacturing orders, you can post the scrap costs to a cost center. You cannot settle scrap costs to a cost center if you are using a product cost collector.
**Process Flow**
The planned quantity of the order is 10 units. The yield is 8 pieces and the scrap quantity is 2 pieces.
You change the settlement rule so that 80% of the costs can be settled to the material stock account for that material. You then create a new distribution rule in which the remaining 20% of the costs is settled to a cost center.
The actual costs for the order are USD 2,800. When 8 pieces are delivered to stock, the system charges USD 2,000 to the order.
80% of the total cost is USD 2,240.
20% of the total cost is USD 560.
The order was already credited by USD 2,000 upon delivery. During settlement, the system then settled USD 240 to the material stock account of the material and USD 560 to the cost center.

Customization for Plant missing in table Plant settings

Hi CIN Experts,
The CIN setting are maintained for Plant and company. J1IIN, Excise invoice creation is OK for billing docs.
But the error is while using J1IIN for proforma invoice(Delivery based). Message no. 8I303.

Else, go to IMG Logistics-General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Basic Settings > Maintain Plant settings. There check whether you have maintained the plant code with the Excise Registration code. Most probably, the said error will also come if any setting is not done properly here.

Create a new document with settings appropriate for SWF or XFL output.

I'm studying up for the CS4 ACE exam, and I'm stumped on something. In the "Laying out a Document" section, it says: "Create a new document with settings appropriate for SWF or XFL output." There isn't really anything specific to creating a document for flash, except that you wouldn't add bleed. I can't find anything online that addresses this. Am I missing something here? Any document can be exported to SWF or XFL. This seems rather ambiguous. What is there to know about this?

You're right that any document can be exported to SWF or XFL. I'm not sure what you're going to be asked on the ACE exam, but here are some resources:

ALV: Create a new view in Settings

I get an exception "Dynamic type conflict when assigning references " when trying to create new view in Settings of ALV.

After some research it turned out that there is a problem with toggle button which is set as editor for one of columns.
Debugging showed that data persistance logic of ALV (method MAP_FROM_MODEL_CELL_EDITOR, class CL_SALV_WD_PERSISTENCE, package SALV_WD_COMMON) expects that class CL_SALV_WD_UIE_A_TOGGLE_BUTTON like simple button is derived from class CL_SALV_WD_UIE_A_CAPTION, but it's not.
The same error can be reproduced on sample SALV_WD_DEMO_TABLE_EVENTS.
Do I have a problem with different versions of packages (SALV_WD_COMMON and SALV_WD_CONFIG)? Or something else?

you have to use the MM01 tocde and enter the mateial you want extend for new view. system will propose the view and select the new view.
Or use MM50 for mass

Use of Selection period in Plant settings

Can any body explain me what is the use of selection period(general settings tab) in QM plant settings?

If the MRP see a requirement of a SO, it looks for forecasts if they can be decreased according to this SOu2019s requirement. It looks for it from the date of the SO first backward or forward according to the setting.
And if looks for the forecast in the given day in the appropriate direction.

New Projects - Change Settings

I have purchased Premere Elements 9. I always take out the sd card and insert it into the camera to download the video to a file I created.
At this point I go to edit my video and the New Project - change settings box pops up. Not sure how to set this with the camera

If you have a red line over the timeline after importing a video and before adding any effects... your project is wrong for your video... read above about codecs
Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project

Extend task list for new planning plant

Hi Gurus,
I have 40 task lists for a planning plant 1000. I want to extend them for a new planning plant 2000. Is there any method to do it without usnig BDC or LSMW?

Hello VM,
No it is not possible to simply extend the Task list.
You can copy the same for different planning plant. But if it is not so much necessary, Make other as Maintenance Plant rather than Planning plant.

How do I see new Sequence "automated" Settings? CS6

1. I'm importing from (Canon XF305) using Compact Flash Chips.
2. I create a project and try to choose a preset sequence to match my camera.
   - In this case I assume that I should be choosing "Canon XF mpeg2", since that's the closest to my rig.
3. When I import the clip into a bin and then try and put onto timeline I get a temporary ERROR...
   - "...Your clips do not match the sequence setting, Would you like to change Timeline to match the clips?"
4. of course I say, YES, and after a moment, everything is good.
5. How do I know exactly what the New automated sequence settings are for the timeline?
6. I need to know so that next time I can choose the right PRESET Correctly?
7. p.s. When I choose to view, "Sequence Settings" it only tells me "Custom" editing mode, frame size & aspect ratio, but not the PRESET title?

I'm aware of both methods you mentioned (above), and/but this does not answer my original question.   I'll try and explain here:
When i insert my footage to the timeline, CS6 creates a "Custom" sequence setting that I don't recognise. It's not listed in any of the 'Presets", nor does the "Sequence Settings" have any more 'info" as to what it's custom setting are closest to (regarding to all of the known presets).
One would naturally deduce that by choosing the "Canon XF" preset settings listed in the choices, that my footage shot on a Canon XF 305, would naturally fit on that timeline without further conversions or questions by the program whatsoever. CS6 recognizes my fottage as being from some other type of unknown source, and I simply want to know, what exact sorce CS6 thinks I'm importing?
On this note (might have been the answer.... but not to be so), when I right click on my (supposed CS6 converted) Timeline Footage from my Canon XF305 Video Camera, and I click on "Properties", my footage is listed as "XDcam-HD Movies". Why?
Just to top this off when I creat a new sequence and chose the Preset, "XDcam-HD Movies", CS6 still doesn't think it's just that and wants to create a new custom setting? well, obviouse you say, because it's not XDcam footage, it's Canon XF Footage, but when I once again check my timeline's footage's Properties, it once again thinks it's, "XDcam-HD Movies". Frustrating!

New email POP settings & iPhone

I updated to the "new" Verizon email settings on my iPhone and now all of my older emails are gone. Is there any way to get those emails back?

You are correct it does not work for outgoing emails emails. Only show inbox and none of the sent, draft or trash files.
I do not mind dealing with bugs but when reaching out to verizon for help it just sounds like crickets. I would just use Google mail and sunset verizon.

New depo creation

We are creating new Depo for our company. I want to do the config part for FICO. For this I have cost center and Profit center and the same I have created in system. Kindly let me kbnow is there any other configuration that I have to do..?
What are the other config that are related to fund center.

As Ashutosh has explained the process, you can carry on development.
Just to avoid any missing link, its good idea to copy any existing service and then make modifications to it.
There are lots of places, where different HR checks are performed, when we start from scratch we tend to miss some of them.. so its advisable to copy and then make changes...on completion of development you can create you ESS services and put them in ESS menu, as Ashutosh described.

This indicator will decide whether RG23D register will come in picture for the plant or not. And also if this is activated then Plant is considered as Depot in Excise.
Go to SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Basic Settings > Maintain Excise Groups > Here activate "Depot indicator" for your plant and Excise Group combination and also activate "Folio Numbers" and "Depot Excise Invoice"
At the time of GR, you will get an option of "RG23D Entry" in MIGO

What are the basic settings for Plant from FI side.
Is there any other configuration needed.

If valuation is done at plant level or grouping level.
If grouping level - assign the plant to the group - No more setting required.
All automatic account assignments are at COA level which is attached to Company code.

Cannot send nor receive email on new iMac; migrated settings from MacBook

I just recently bought a new aluminum iMac. I migrated files & settings, including Mail settings from my MacBook to the iMac. Despite the copied settings, I cannot send nor receive messages on the new iMac. I have always been able to send & receive e-mail on my MacBook, so I would think the same settings should work on the iMac.
I have tried Connection Doctor, and I am getting successful connections on both the POP Account and SMTP server.
I have compared settings between the MacBook & iMac, and they are the same. My MacBook uses Tiger and doesn't have the option of default & custom ports. It is set to port 25. I have tried custom ports of 25 & 587 on the new iMac as well as the default port option. None of those seem to work.
Is there something else that could be wrong or anything else I can try? Thanks ahead of time for any assistance.
