New Driver Not Working

Ok, I play FFXI, and a new patch came out, requiring me to dl the latest Drivers.
I download them and install them and they work fine. But when i try to get into the game i get a windows Error(Where the screen is all blue, press esc to cancle and enter to continue). This does just happen with FFXI, it happes with coutner Strike, or any game that require Direct 3D. I dont know why these errors come up. But id like to fix it, or ive lost about 7 months of progress on my game.
So i dont know If its my video card thats not working, or just my computer.
This error doesnt come up when i use the driver, supplied with the video card.Even then if i try running FFXI, it creates an Illegal Operation. I cant run the agme w/o the new drivers. OR maybe its not that, because before it said it wasnt Intalizing my Direct 3D.
Now my Direct 3D test are working, but when i goto dxdiag, it says my video card.
MSI MSI-StarForce GeForce FX 5200. This name also changes when i download the new driver.
And below the name it says, Chipset : n/a, Dac Type: n/a
Would be nice if i could fix this problem, thnx.

So far all we know is which video card you have, That's it.
You did not state what type of mother board/cpu is involved, what OS, amount of RAM, or even the driver version you had been using and the version updated to.
Impossible to venture a guess at this stage. Please tell more about this issue.

Ofcourse that was something I did not know before I bought the soundcard. I am quite sure it is an AC 97 Front Panel, but how can I verify that?
Seems like I will have to sell this soundcard.
- The plugs from my 5.1 sound system are quality plugs and are rather big and so they barely fit, because the audio jacks (not sure about the correct english term here, i mean the holes from the soundcard, where you plugin the soundsystem) are sitting way too close together (expected more for that price..).
- It doesn't support my Case's Front Panel.
- And the soundcard is sitting directly before my Graphic Card's fan (because it uses PCI-E), causing heat.
I guess there is no way around it. I will probably get a new graphic card at christmas and it's most likely going to be bigger than my ATI 4850HD. And I simply do not have the space for a bigger graphic card AND a soundcard, that uses PCI-E. So I guess the best solution is to sell it and buy a soundcard that uses normal PCI and supports AC 97, right? Or what would you recommend?
Until then, is there an easy and cheap way to upgrade my ac97 front panel to Intel HD Front Panel Audio?

Exact Problem : Audio stops working now, and then, intially reinstalling audio driver helped, but now, that trick is also not working!! I'm nither on mute, nor on low volume level!!
Laptop is brand new : And i'm using it from last 2 days only, so was installing everything for the first time.

Dvd drive not worked properly

i have hp pavilion dv4 series.my dvd drive not worked properly.for that purpose only i went 7 times in your service centre but they won't take action till now .why u people do like this .i want explation and just change my dvd drive that's all.

Sounds like a bad drive...I would get a replacement. According to Accelerate Your Mac database, it should work without issue.
Just enter the model number of the drive and select your Powerbook G3 2000, and you will see four reports on this model.

This procedure is much too complicated for an average user. You know that millions of Wondow XP users are switching to Windows 7. I' sure that most of them are facing similar problems. HP should come with a user friendly solution that solves the above issues. Don't you think?
My problem remains unsolved.

I see that your HP Deskjet D2300 series driver not working in windows 7.
Do you see any error messages with the installer? Or does it just close out and doesn't install?
In the meantime, please try using our HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Disk Drive not working and could not inter Hkey_Local_Machine

Yoga 13: the Realtek RTL8723A new driver not yet working properly

After having faced lots of stability issues with my bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Sculpt Touch) I installed the new driver for the wifi/bluetooth chip RTL8723A (v1.04.0213 - 6th June 2013) and after having used it for several weeks, I have noted the following:
Bluetooth issue:
- Still several disconnection of my mouse (but slighty less than before)
- There is a general trend that my mouse connection is worser everyday (used to work better) - and not a problem of batteries
Wifi issue:
- If I activate the "plane mode" from windows 8 wifi bar, it's impossible to reactivate the wifi! I have to run the windows'internal utility to sort out the problem (right clic on the wifi bar from the desktop and "resolve problems")
- Sometime the wifi just doesn't connect properly (its connected on the router but there is no network) and I have to turn on the plane mode and do what I wrote above to make the wifi work again. But some time it doesn't work and I have to reboot
- Despite the "wifi hotspot mode" is implemented (the "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" command) and work it's so instable that it always end in crashing the computer and followed by a reboot (perfectly managed by Windows 8 at least). Anyway I managed to cope with that during my holidays (I used it to create another wifi network which was a network share of another wifi network to which I could only log in for one device (my Yoga 13) - so I used my "hostednetwork" to connect iDevices at the same time). But after several crashes and reboot, the wifi was so instable that I had to reinstal the driver
I have never faced so much bugs in a so basic but vital component of a laptop which is the network card. This card is already far beyond what we could expect of a laptop of this range (the wifi n is single band, no 300 nor 450 mbits speed! It's worse than any modern smartphone!) and has not a good sensitivity but in top the driver seems to have been written by beginners.
So Lenovo, please, do something and pressurise your provider (Realtek) so as they release a driver working correctly - or just don't use their cards and invest in better providers (like Intel which is doing great network cards with professional class software).

Sorry to hear about all your wifi issues. Unfortunately a lot of Yoga 13 owners are having problems, especially due to Realtek compatibility with specific router hardware. Just to see if things improve you might try some of the other driver versions discussed here:

External hard drive not working on my new mac

bought a new macbook and i already had an external HDD that is fromatted for mac but will not work or show up when i connect the HDD to the computer. how can i get help to get it fixed?

Since that, I tried the following this morning.
I took out the old 100GB drive and fitted the new 500GB (blank) drive. My plan was to fresh install OSX, install Carbon Copy Cloner and then clone the old drive by plugging it in with a reading device I have. What actually happened was the following:
I put in my Mac OSX install disc 1. I opened disc utility from the top toolbar. In disc utility the new drive showed up and I formatted (erase option) it to mac OS Extended (journalled). I then began a fresh install of OSX. As it started the macbook told me I was '+running on battery power+' and '+was I sure?+'. With full battery I said yes and continued. All was going well and it prompted for the second install disc. It got some way through that and then got stuck at 38% installing garage band loops. The new internal drive was also making a repetitive noise - not loud or anything but certainly sounded like it was searching for something. As the whole thing was stuck and nothing was working I held down the power button.
I tried again with the first disc but it wont even do anything anymore! I took out the new drive and put in the old one. Booted up. Connected the new drive to the reader with the idea of re-formatting it via disc utility.
But now the brand new drive is not readable and is making the a few funny repetitive noises.
Please help me someone - I'm very worried about this new drive now!!! Is is broken or corrupted or something???

What "reading device" are you using?

It is best to have the power adapter connected when running a long process like this which cannot be interrupted.

It sounds like there is something amiss with the new HD. If you have access to a different external enclosure, (even on a PC, just to see if the HD will function), you could try erasing/formatting it again. If not, I think it's time to contact the vendor about a return.
