New E-mail Badge number not updated with new mail in folders (iPhone 4S)

I setup my exchange e-mail to push certain folders as well as my inbox but only my inbox mail will update the badge number. If I get mail in a folder the phone just vibrates and shows the notification but the badge is not updated. Seems kind of pointless to have the mail pushed if the badge isn't updated as well. Is there a way to change this or a reason why it is not updating? And yes I have all the options to allow the badge to be shown, also show in notification center, show in lock screen, etc. It was working with 7.0.3, but after I updated it, I realized it stopped working. Any ideas?

So i pretty much got ticked at my iphone. Not only was my "sent folder" not updating, the new 2.0 was crashing and hanging all my applications. e-mail photos wont send, got error messesges , at least every application crashed at some point in the last week, even after i did a restore and back-up. SO pretty much i restored to factory out of the box settings and just started as a "new iphone".
as for the whole "sent folder" not updating. I changed the setting to download "Last 200" messeges. Then i kept updating until all 1,000 messeges were downloaded. After that point my iphone would update whenever i sent new messeges. But it would take forever cause it was checking against a 1,000 e-mails for new ones.... SO i give up, i just dumped all my "sent e-mails" to a new folder called "sent archives" ( u can call it whatever u want). I think this is the easiest fix for now.
if i get any more issues.. i'm just gonna go restore my phone back to the software rev before 2.0 came out....

Thank you. That explains what is going wrong. But I need to know how to resolve it. Should I not have my POP business account store messages in folders housed on mobile me? But if I do that then my business stuff will not be synchronised across my Macs, but will be only on one machine, as I've use mobile me to synchronise across the lot. What to do?

Mail Badge Does Not Update # of Unread Mail Messages

My iPhone is stubbornly refusing to update my number of MobileMe unread mail messages. For some reason, it is displaying 6 more unread messages than there actually are. No if I have no unread messages, the badge reads 6. If I have 5 unread messages, the badge reads 11.
I access MobileMe via my iMac, iPad, and iPhone (iOS 4.1). My iMac and iPad aren't having this issue. Any suggestions about how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

Did you mean the connected Microsoft account used to Mail APP and all Windows 8.1 computer?
If yes, it's indeed as what you describe. Since Windows 8.1 Mail app has been designed such a way that, it will keep you in logged in mode all the time so that you will be able to check your emails without logging in to the webmail. In other words, it's
always keep session. Therefore, it wouldn't ask credential to confirm.
However, this is not only depending on Mail App but also related with mail type security. Based on my test, Adding an Exchange email account, it will prompt to check password setting at once if you change password. Adding an Hotmail account, nothing happened
after change the password.

Mail badge icon not working with exchange

1. using exchange for my email
2. have mail program on iphone 5 configured for this account
3. using ios7
4. Have lots of folders insdie inbox and all are being 'pushed'
5. issue: when receive mail via 'mail' on iphone the mail badge does not popup with a number of 'unread' messages. At times it will show a number but most times it will not. I have to go inside of inbox and look for a number next to a name to see if i have any messages.
6. all settings in notifications are 'on'
7. Alerts set as banners

another user had the fix:
FIXED IT! After a painful and time-consuming couple of months.
I found the solution on another help forum, and in a nutshell it is this:
I had set up some Outlook appointments with a reminder set at "0" minutes i.e. to remind me at the time of the event.
On the iPhone there isn't an option for "0" minutes - instead it says 'at the time of the event' (or something similar)
When the iphone tried to sync the Outlook items it didn't know what to do, and after several minutes of 'deliberating' (which looked like a very long calendar sync in iTunes) it then just aborted the process without syncing anything on Calendar.
So I went into calendar list view, and changed any appointment with a reminder set to "0" minutes, and bingo, it all started working again.
Try it! I hope it works for others too.. (repost of solution provided by Silvermum)

Any soltuions yet....In LR5, the slideshow does not update with new photos taken by a tethered camera

I have read a number of issues with LR5 not including new images to a running slideshow. The images load into the filmstrip, but never make it into the slideshow. Has a solution arrived for this bug?

I have an update - I downloaded LR4 and what I wanted to do above works!
So I think there is a bug with LR5.
I'm new to Lightroom - this would be a barrier to me buying LR5. Might have to buy LR4 beforehand...

Why is iTunes store not updating with new episodes

I've followed all the rules and have successfully updated with 18 episodes. Now, the past two episodes have been posted and while they show up if one is already subscribed to the RSS feed the newest episodes are not appearing on the podcast page in the iTunes store. Anyone else experience this frustrating problem? Suggested solutions other that removing the feed and resubmitting? Thanks, in advance, for your help!

I am having the same issue. I know what the issues are in the feed validator, but I put them there for use in the xml side of our site. I don't see why there would be an issue.
I have a category channel element added which gives each episode its own tag which I call for on our website. If you have time, can you please check if these issues need to be resolved?

Lightroom 5: After paste settings photo is not updated with new settings applied (sometimes)

anyone have seen same bug as me? When I copy develop settings with CTRL+SHIFT+C and then paste it to another photo with CTRL+SHIFT+V, sometimes the photo is not updated/rendered with new settings applied -> and yes, I see "paste settings" step in photo "history window". So when I press Undo and then Redo key, photo will render updated.
I did try to reinstall LR 5 and optimize catalogue, problem is still there.
(Win 7 x64, latest LR 5.6)

Yes, I have similar problems. I'm guessing it's down to file size: With NEFs from my old D70 (5MB average) there was no problem, but with D610 files (30MB average) I'm getting a few problems, including 'not pasting settings'.
LR seems to struggle with larger files. Don't have a solution, unfortunately.

IPhone 4 will not update with new software

I can't get my iPhone 4 to update with the new software. I keep getting an error message that says there is a promblem downloading the software and the network connection timed out. Make sure the network settings are correct and your network connection is active. I reset my network connection, which did nothing to help. What next?

In LR5, the slideshow does not update with new photos taken by a tethered camera

Hi Everyone,
I'm just trying out LR5 and have found a problem - I've watched vidoes where in LR4 you can setup a slideshow to play from a folder, and while the slideshow is playing you can take new photos from a tethered camera and it will automatically add it to the slideshow.
In LR5, on my computer (Mac), the incoming photo seems to get stuck and does not make it into the slideshow. I have to stop the slideshow, and restart it to see the new incoming photo taken by tethered camera. I need this function for an event, so I'm just wondering whether I'm doing something wrong, or whether it is a bug in LR5?
Note: I've selected the mode "Use: All Filmstrip Photos". What I've observed is that while playing the slideshow without going fuill screen, a newly taken photo from the tethered camera appears as a white tile, but then the thumbnail contents do not change. When I stop the slideshow, the photo then gets "Developed" and then it will be in the slideshow the next time I play it.

How to fix apps not updating with new features?

Today I tried updating my apps with the Adobe Application Manager, however, I recevied an an message with PhotoShop “Installation complete though some recommended components failed to install correctly. (U44M1P6)” I noticed that not only did PhotoShop not install correctly, but none of the new features with Muse, InDesign, and Illustrator are available either. What could be the problem?

My 1st subscription was cancelled due to an expired credit card. Unable to update credit card info, I was forced to open a 2nd subscription. I need to connect my skype phone number to the 2nd subscription.

Additional information added: can the Skype number (formerly known as Online Number) be reached from a land or fixed line? If yes, can the number be reached from a mobile phone? If not, then the issue is different - the wireless carrier may not be recognizing the number.

My children's devices are not updating with new Family payment method

Home Depot lost card info, thus my bank re-issued our debit card, so the old one is no longer good.
I have put the new one in as our Family Payment method, but on my daughter's iPhone when she attempts to update, it's asking for verification and it tries to run the old card, which is obviously no longer good. So she can't update anything from App Store.
Any thoughts?

Default Mail app not working with yahoo mail. Won't update.

Default Maill app not working with Yahoo Mail.
It stopped working the other day. I tried everything but it wouldn't update new mail. The yahoo account itself is fine because I can see new mail on Yahoo or a yahoo app.
I tried deleting the account and putting it back on, but now it has 0 mail in any part of it. Nothing has synced.
What do I do?

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

On the iPhone, tap Settings.
Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.

home sharing does not work with new mountain lion update. Does anyone else have the same issue. Updated all computers in my home, deauthorized and reauthorized each computer. turn off home sharing and turned it back on. don't know what else to do..please help...

Our Apple TVs continue to lose connection ever since installing Mountain Lion on the host computer. The only thing that fixes them is to quit and relaunch iTunes, which only works unti the ATV goes to sleep. If a movie is paused for more than a few minutes and the ATV goes to sleep, pressing play again on the remote is greeted with "There are no movies on this computer" or "Turn on Home Sharing."
If we stop a video on one ATV and attempt to resume it in another room, the error begins again. The other ATV can't connect until iTunes is relaunched.
My guess is that it has something to do with the new [annoying] security settings. But I still haven't found a fix other than restarting iTunes everytime we want to watch something from our downloads. Fail.
