New E3000 Constantly Restarting Itself

Had the problem sporadically last night but it had finally stopped after I reset everything. About 30 minutes ago it randomly began doing it again. If I remove the internet connection (hooked directly to the cable modem to put this in) it seems just fine. Hook it up to the cable modem and it restarts itself about every 20 seconds ago. Had a LinkSys G router on the same network for years without any such problem and finding this quite annoying.

Try to hard reset your router for 35 - 40 seconds, power cycle the router and then re-configure it from the scratch. Now,check if that makes any difference...Also,reduce the MTU size on the router to 1350 and check.

I updated my 3gs to 6.1.3 now I can't get mail the phone constantly restarts itself and I can't get it to Restore thanks Apple what can I do?

Im having the same problem, I updated my Iphone 4S to 6.1.3, shortly after that my phone had no audio. It was working fine one minute and then stopped. Was listening to music when sound gave out on me. It wont ring, phone just vibrates even after turning off vibration option. I've tried all the options listed and nothing. My phone has never been jailbroken either. If I connect the earphones is works perfectly. On one of my last calls received, phone's ringtone was heard for about 2 seconds before muting and just vibrating. Ringtone sounded perfect, speakers did not sound damaged.
What else could be done? I've read several post regarding this and it seems like Apple has no solution to this yet. Very dissappointed.

  • Brand new iPod touch restarts itself all the time

Hello, my dad just came home from Japan, with a brand new iPod touch.
I managed to register it in iTunes, but when i updated the firmware i got an error message. I tried again and i think that i succeed. Then i started to sync music and the rest of the stuff. The syncing stopped after a minute, and when i tried to navigate on my iPod i realised that the touch screen didn't respond. So after several attempts, i made a hard reset.
But now, the iPod touch restarts itself. The Apple logo comes up, and then the screen turns off in a dramatical way, and then the Apple logo comes up again. If i hard reset my device again, the process continous.
I sometimes the iPod shows the "charge battery" screen, and then I can charge the battery. BUT after 5 minutes, the iPod touch starts restarting itself again. :S
Does anyone have a solution to this? Extremely strange.

I suspect you have a hardware problem. Probably a non-functioning battery (over or under) and causing a hardware reset. Bring it to an Apple Store for replacement.

  • HT1338 my computer constantly restarted itself

Since last week, my computer restarted itself constantly with error message on screen "your computer was restarted because of some problem". It became very frustrating after the Apple Tech could not help with the issues. I would like to know who can help???

If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Select the most recent panic log under the heading System Diagnostic Reports on the left. If you don't see that heading, select
View ▹ Show Log List   from the menu bar. Post the entire contents of the panic report — the text, please, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don't post shutdownStall, spin, or hang reports.

  • New ipad constantly turns itself on when locked

Very frustrating. I use the iPad. Push the lock button. Screen goes black. Fold it shut in the Targus Versavu keyboard case and without fail, it will be on after a few minutes. The strange thing is that this doesn't happen all the time, but it's enough to be very frustrating because it definitely affects battery life.
I have talked to Targus and they say it cannot be the case because it does not have magnets that would be activating the lock unlock of the iPad.
I've also turned the Lock/Unlock to the off position in the settings.
    Why is this constantly happening????

No. I am just putting it to sleep. Just clicking the lock button on top of the iPad. I don't want to turn it off and on constantly.

  • Constantly Restarting Pearl

    Hi,
I am hoping someone can give me some help solving my problem. I have a Blackberry Pearl. Yesterday, it started to constantly restart itself. Some times it will run fine. Then it will shutoff, and just have a long slow pulsing of the red light. Then it will start to boot to the white screen and keep shutting off. Then eventually, it will start working again. Any ideas on what is going on?
Edit: Also, I think there is something funky going on with the trackball, when pressed, it acts like the 1 key was pressed. Any thoughts?

Here is a log I pulled from the device. This was after a crash. Hopefully, this might have something helpful.

  • IPod is corrupt: will not restore, constantly resets itself

I have had my iPod 60GB for 2 years now and it just started going crazy recently. First it started skipping songs (not playing them) then when I connected it to my computer it said my iPod was corrupt and needed restored. So I clicked on restore and it keeps giving me an error message (1429) and says it cannot restore the iPod because it is corrupt. I've tried everything on the error message help page and nothing works. I tried changing the USB it was plugged into, and that didn't work. It says Windows couldn't install the software for my new drive. Now my iPod is setting here constantly restarting itself, over and over and over the Apple logo screen is coming on for a few seconds, then shutting off and back on and so on.
One of my friends said he had one that did the same and he had to send it in and get a new one- I certainly hope I will NOT have to purchase another one, because I certainly feel that for $280 you should get something that should work or can be easily fixed. If this is the case, and I don't get a new one, I will certainly NEVER purchase an Apple product again for sure.
I really like my iPod so I hope there's a way to fix it. I cannot get it to shut off now though! It keeps turning itself on and off. I am using a PC with Windows XP Serv. Pack 3 if that helps.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Virtually same problem. ipod shows playing a song, but I can hear the hard drive clicking. I tried to restore, but says ipod is corrupt. This is unreal as it is not long out of warranty and i paid way too much for this to happen. I have only used it about three months off anf on since I purchased it. It is stuck and will not shut off just the hard drive is turning. I placed it on a magnet in my car, and was wondering if that caused the problem.
Any help would be great as mor than one individual has this same issue.

  • Phone constantly restarting with ios5+

I upgraded to ios5 from 4.3.3 and my phone is constantly restarting itself every few minutes. I have tried to restore it and restore it in DFU, both from a back up and a new phone and nothing seems to fix it. I have also redownloaded ios5 to see if it was a dodgy download. The only way I can stop it is to turn wifi off altogether. This will make the phone stable but it still might restart once or twice a day. I was hoping 5.0.1 might fix something but that didnt change anything either.
Is anyone else having these problems or knows of a fix?

When you set up the new phone did you set it up as "restore from an icloud backup" or did you set up the phone as a "new phone" and then signed in with your apple id? If you chose "restore from an ic,oud backup" then there might be something wrong with your icloud backup. You can try restoring the phone as "erase all contents and settings" and when it asks you how you're setting up your phone you can chose "set up as new iphone" and then sign in with your apple id and you should get your contact synced over at least. You can then go to the itunes store and app store to manually download your purchases. Or you can plug in your old phone to your computer and use itunes to "back up to my computer" and once that is done you can plug in your new phone to your computer and use itunes to "restore from a bckup". Hopefully that is more helpful.
Also, what exactly did the Apple Store say as to why they "couldn't help you"?

My Ipad 2 does not turn on when not plugged to electricity. Even when plugged to electricity, it constantly restarts/switches itself off. what is the problem, please help??

i plugged it and pressed the home button for a few seconds. the connect to itunes screen appeared and the moment i disconnect the cable from the electric plug, it switches off. when i connect the cable to the PC, nothing happens, its as if nothing has been done.

  • I bought an iPhone 4 about 3 days ago at radio shack. But I didn't get any warranty on it and it seems to be restarting itself on its own. If I want a new one do I have to buy it or can I replace it?

I bought an iPhone 4 about 3 days ago at radio shack. But I didn't get any warranty on it and it seems to be restarting itself on its own. If I want a new one do I have to buy it or can I replace it?

If you bought a new iPhone, it is covered under warranty.  There's nothing to get, it simply is covered.
To check the warranty and support coverage, go here and enter the device serial number.

  • My 5S constantly restarts by itself

When I am using more than 3 apps at a time for example pandora, calculator, and iMessage my phone restarts itself and goes on a white screen. What can this be? Should I go to apple and have my phone replaced?

What user troubleshooting have you tried. Before you go to Apple, you should try the steps to troubleshoot. They will just ask you if you had done that. They are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If it is still acting up after that, then make an appointment with the Genius Bar to have the device checked.

  • Updated my ipod touch, but it keeps restarting itself constantly

it did this ocasionally before the new update on big programs but now it does it about 5 seconds after it restarts itself, and continuously goes through this cycle unless i shut it down in time before it restarts itself again. any ideas how to fix this?

I have the same problem, where trying to sync my iPod will cause it to restart and I get nowhere with updating it. It's completely frusterating and I'd do anything to get it to stop, but won't restoring it delete everything? I'm not too worried about my songs because they're all saved in the cloud but I have a lot of pictures and I'm not really sure how to back them up, because whenever I try to plug in my iPod and use it through the windows explorer rather than iTunes and just manually move the photos to the hardrive, it restarts and I can't get anywhere...
I have a 4th gen, 8g iPod and windows vista if that helps. Thanks for any feedback, it would be awesome just to get a second opinion.

  • Brand new 80 GB constantly restarting

I bought a new 80 GB over the weekend, installed iTunes, started an update and my power promptly died. Now my iPod is constantly restarting. I've installed iTunes 8 on 2 different computers. They both recognize the device and say it needs to be updated and restored. They attempt to update/restore, and it appears to be successful, but then the device simply goes back to cycling on and off every few seconds.
I was able to get it in to disk mode, but have no idea what to do from there.
    Any help?

  • New Hard Drive today, now it keeps restarting itself Help!

Our iMac just received a new hard drive and cable today and it has been randomly restarting itself all evening. It began with us returning to the computer and not being able to wake it up. We needed to manually power down and restart. Since then it has not gone to sleep but will randomly restart itself. It is now happening every 5 minutes.
Does anyone know if there is some sort of setting I am missing??
    Thanks in advance.

Try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
If that doesn't help, try Resetting the System Management Controller
