New E4200V2 connection to Arris TM802 not being detected ?

Simply put, I just bought the E4200V2 for better wireless coverage in my home. Anyways upon setting it up I found that the port link and act lights on the back of the router at the WAN port don't light at all when hooked up to my cable modem. The act light on my modem is also not blinking. When I go back to my older D-Link DIR-655 everything is juyst fine again. I tested the WAN port connecting it directly into my PC and I can see it, and it lights (act and link) almost immediately when connected anyways. So I've only had it for less than 24 hours, and I didn't have much time to mess with it since I bought it. I saw that maybe I should try cloning my MAC, but haven't tried that yet. (I will once I get home from work.) Just wanted to know if I'm just missing something here. Also I've used multiple different routers on this modem before and never had a need to clone MAC address' before.

Let me know the name of the ISP? What IP address do you get when modem connected directly to the computer? Here are the steps to check the IP address.
You can check the IP address in the following manner:
# Click on Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt.
# A black pop up box should come up, type: "ipconfig /all" …
There check the IP address and Default Gateway under LAN….
Second, try to reset the router before initial setup. Steps to reset the router:
Push the reset button on router for 30 seconds, turn off the router wait for 30 seconds and then power it on. Power light should blink when you perform the reset process.
After reset check the IP address once again after connecting router with the computer.

Have done all trouble shooting tech a through Apples and still have not resolved issues on Windows and itunes not detecting my Ipod nano 5th generation device. Tried restoring the device manually using disk mode and still not being detected by the computer. Device is our of warenty as when service repair charges are $125.00 dolars more than I paid for this device. Maybe this is a result of corrupt files that got onto my daughters Ipod somehow and thus causing it not the be detwected through the USB connection thus as a result not be understoud as a working device through Windows and itunes. If anyone can help me out there including itune techs that would be well appreciated, but for now my daughter is not able to add new or delete any songs on her ipod as well pictures, and everything. Try changing the cord. I could NOT get my computer to recognize my iPod 5th Gen until I read somewhere that different apple devices use different cords. I was inadvertently using my iPad cord and that caused my computer to not recognize my ipod.

Its possible the driver for the pen drive is corrupted in your computer, or the drive has met its end of life.
First, confirm that the Pen Drive is seen by other computers. Plug it in to another computer that you havent tried yet.
If it is not working on other computers, then the usb drive is corrupted and there wont be anything else we can do.
If it is working in other computers, then try these steps to troubleshoot the Pen Drive.
Confirm that the port on the computer is not bad. Choose a different port to insert the drive. Next…
Part 1: Make sure that the drive has a drive letter assigned in Disk Management.
Open Computer Management by right clicking on Computer and clicking Manage.
Click on Disk Management. Give it a moment to open the view of the drives installed.
Look for a drive that does not have an assigned drive letter and is not labeled as System Reserved.
Note: System reserved drives are reserved by Windows and will not allow you to assign a letter.
Right-click the unlabeled drive and click Change drive letter and paths…
Click Add and then click OK to select the first available drive letter.
If the Change drive letter and paths… option is not available, make sure that the drive is Online.
If the drive is Offline, right-click the disk number and click Online.
Part 2: If the drive does have a letter assigned and it still does not work, uninstall the driver.
You can safely remove any usb drivers that are not in use (hidden drivers). Devices that get plugged in later will simply reinstall its needed driver again.
Remove the pen drive from the computer if it’s attached.
Right click Computer and click on Properties. In the System window on the left side, click on Advanced System Properties.
Choose the Advanced tab and click on Environment Variables… button at the bottom.
Under System Variables, click on the New… button
Type this in the box that pops up. Variable Name: devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices and also give the Variable Value: 1
Click OK on all the open windows to close them out.
Go to Computer Management again and click on Device Manager. Go to View at the top of the window and click on Show Hidden Devices.
Click on the drop down arrow for Universal Serial Bus Controllers to open the list. Look for any USB Mass Storage Device that is hidden (greyed out) and delete it. There may be several and it’s ok to delete all those hidden USB Mass Storage Devices.
When you connect the pen drive to the computer again, give it a minute to reinstall the driver.

hi , well my phone is not being detected, i made assure that the usb cable is alright, usb port is not 3.0 and is fine good and is among working ports, after trying so much i changed pc , cable but the phone still remains same undetected, wherein if i restart my phone it shows installing mtp drivers and shows symbol to have patience post which it shows error,it is behaving this way only after the update to kitkat i guess, because before that it was alright.suggestions appreciated and thanks in advance

To solve the issue, open Device Manager on your computer to reinstall the driver for your device while your device is connected with your PC via a USB cable.
Microsoft Windows Vista and 7 users
To open Device manager on your computer
Click on the Start button.
In the Search box, type device manager, and then press enter.
To reinstall the drivers for your device
Scroll down to the Universal Serial Bus controllers (USB section) of the Device Manager window.
Look for an MTP Device: Media Device, Unknown Device or any other reference to your phone. Click on this entry and choose "Uninstall" whilst leaving the device connected.
Wait a few minutes, and the computer will reinstall the drivers for the device.
Now, the phone is accessible via Computer/My Computer on your computer.

A few things to try. Any one or a combo mayhelp
Reset your iPad.
Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. Then plug it back in and see if it is seen now.
Try a different USB port
Reboot your computer
If you have a PC:
If that doesn't fix it, go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTunes, apple Mobile device service, apple application support.
Then redownload and reinstall iTunes. then try again.

Iphone 4s not being detected by windows 8 laptop and itunes

Hey all,
My iphone 4s is stuck in recovery mode and my laptop is not detecting the iphone when i plug it in. I plug in my other iphone and ipods fine but this iphone 4s is not being detected so i know it is not the cables. I have uninstalled all of the apple apps and drivers from my computer including itunes and re-installed them again and still nothing. When i turn on the iphone it shows a blue itunes logo with a cable indicating for me to connect it to my laptop, but it turns off after 30 seconds which doesn't allow it to restore thus a notification shows up on itunes saying that the iphone could not be found.
I downloaded the latest version of ios, but could not install it since the iphone is not responding. so right now it is basically a paper weight.
Is there anything i can do?

Try creating a different user for your computer and open iTunes to see if shows up in that newly created user. The article below will home a few more troubleshooting steps, some of which you have already tried.

Power button not working headphones not being detected

have a sony xperia z tablet, power button has stopped working and the headset is not being detected by the headphone jack,
really annoying i ahve tried resetting and that didnt fix the problem, i tried restorign but cant because the power button doesnt work to shut it down!
only a couple of months old - need sony to fix the problem, i use it for work and i need it working 100%! please respond sony - dont depend on other users to fix your issues also you have shut down most of your stores in ireland which does not help matters.

IPhone not being detected by computer, stuck in DFU mode. Please help.

My iPhone is not being detected by my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes 3 times to no avail. This occurred during a restore in which the computer lost connection to the phone and left it in DFU mode. Please help. I also must add that my lock button is broken as well.

If your button is broken there's probably no way to recover the phone. You will need to get the hardware problem resolved first.

Ipod Touch 4th generation 32G not turning on, not charging.
I have used multiple cords on both computer USB and wall USB converters. I let it sit there for over 20 min with each attempt.
It is not being detected by Itunes or my Windows 7 64bit OS. I have tried all 4 of my USB ports (both USB 2.0 and 3.0), with 3 different chargers.
Holding home and power button will not reset.
Tried taking it out of "DFU" mode but Itunes won't detect it, I didn't think that would work anyway.
NO DAMAGE, I have been very careful with it, aside from a few minor scratches. (that you can't even see unless the light reflects them)
My Itunes is up to date, as is my OS.
All I'm getting is a blank black screen. It has been working fine on this computer before. I have no idea what could have happened. I'm at my wits end here.

See if you missed anything here:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If you can't get it to shut down or restart when holding down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons and you can't get it recognized in iTunes to restore it, the iPod may have suffered a hardware failure and will need to go to Apple for service. Someone else here may have additional suggestions, though.
There is no "fifth generation" iPod touch, by the way, just for the sake of clarity; not yet, anyway.
