Odd. Seems to be a foxpro issue. One way to check would be to stop
servicing the queue, then print, then look at the actual spool file in
the queue dir and see what it contains.
Also, some printers can set to hex dump the inputy so you can see if
the data, and what data, reaches the printer.

Obviously I have seen your post, and sorry you are having problems. Unfortunately this is likely to be because you did not take enough care on the Internet. It is all too easy to go to bad websites and pick up malware that once downloaded does things you may not like or expect.

Finding such adware may be problematic, after all it is either downright malware which will try its best to evade being found and uninstalled, or it is adware that a minority of people actually like and deliberately download and install, usually after clicking small print saying this will happen.
Suggestions to try to Uninstall or Remove Adware
First thing to try, check which search engine is selected ? Because this is so simple and could have an effect it is worth checking what Search engine is selected for the Firefox Searchbar. You may have changed that, or software may have,and that will affect other searches including those from the address bar and the start page. All you need to do is click the little downward pointing arrowhead in the search bar and check what is in use and what is available. In most countries Firefox uses Google by default.
Check the shortcut Icons - has an address been added ? Right click the icon on the desktop used to start Firefox has an address been tacked on to the end of that. If something has changed that Firefox goes to that address as it starts up. For comparison use a run command directly. In Windows & with Firefox not already open Use keyboard shortcut Winkey+Run then when you get the run option key in ''firefox.exe'' & hit return. That will run Firefox without any extra instruction.
Adware removal 
I you have got adware, or unwanted software especially if it also affects other browsers (So check the use of Internet Explorer) look for anything unexpected installed in the Windows OS, use the Windows Control Panel. especially if only Firefox is affected check what is installed as extensions and plugins by using the addons manager.

I used the migration assistant to transfer my photos from PC to mac. The photos were not organized at all. They were in the all files section in my finder. I just clicked and drug the pics file to iphoto and the are just in there in a big bunch. Was there a way I could have had them transferred over in there folders from PC?

Do you know where the actual photo files are located on your laptop? If so, you can transfer them to the Mac over a LAN or by saving them to an external HDD, thumb drive or burning them to a disk. Then you can import the photos to the iPhoto app that came on your new Mac.
It would be the same process for the videos, however, it would depend what type of video files they are, as to which Mac app might allow you to view them.
BTW, since your Mac is new you need to Accept the iLife apps; iPhoto, GarageBand and iMovie into your Mac App Store/iTunes account. Open the MAS, sign into you account, go to the Purchased pane and accept the apps.

When I external edit an aperture photo using Photoshop Elements 9 and then get out, the changes are not reflected in Aperture when I return - this used to work for me but doesn't seem to have for some time - help please?

workflow:
click photo and elect to use the external editor (Photoshop Elements 9)
Copy of the photo is created in Aperture with the "O" badge and I am rolled out to Photoshop
Have to change the type to 8-bit in Photoshop to start making changes
When done and I exit I am prompted to save the photo
On returning to Aperture however the "O" badged photo does not get updated/reflect my changes
Other Things:
I can find a changed photo sitting in the Aperture Library using finder or Photoshop itself - so I know changes have been made a new file saved (TIFF).
I am wondering if I am missing some (new) preference such that the changes are not proerly being saved for re-display/storage in the Aperture Library
I am running Lion OSX at the moment but the behaviour was the same under Snow Lepoard versions.
Current version of Aperture is 3.1.3, Elements is 9.0

Try using psd. Some rerports indicate some confustion between the apps with TIFF. See:

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.

I have used Firefox since it was first introduced. I prefer it to MS Explorer. My advice is to install Firefox Portable ESR to your hard drive for use at that Blackboard website and continue to use Firefox 34 for other purposes. The "portable" version will instal and use a Profile that is totally separate from your regular Firefox installation - so you can have two separate Firefox versions installed without any problems.

You can backup the bookmarks on the old computer and create a JSON or HTML backup and restore or import this file in the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks).
You can use an USB stick to transfer the saved bookmarks file to the new computer. 
You can also copy the places.sqlite file from that computer to have the bookmarks and the history.

Thanks for prompt response - I tried what you suggested but I'm afraid it has not helped. It seems as though the line of number keys along the top aren't actually doing what is printed on them. Some are OK, but the further towards the right hand side of the keyboard you go, the less predicatable it becomes. So whilst the second key from the left gives me 1 and ! when holding the shift key, by the time I get to the 6 when I press and hold shift I get ^ rather than & symbol which is what is actually printed on the key. The & symbol is actually on the next key along - and when I hit the key with 8 I get * rather than the ( which is printed on they key but actually located on the next key along. Things get even more muddled by the time I am over on the right hand side as rather than a question mark (I have had to type the word as I cannot find the symbol anywhere!) I get this _ and the other symbol marked on the key is a comma, but I get - instead. It is going to drive me mad if every time I want to type something it is a guessing game....! What do you suggest - question mark

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) have you tried deleting those tracks from your iTunes library and redownloading them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes ? Re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
