New Facebook Upload Photos Option in LR 3.2?

Anyone having success uploading photos to Facebook via LR 3.2? I've tried several times and keep getting error message that my Facebook account has not been accepted or something to that affect. In short Authorization Failed. I go to my Facebook account and sign in with no issues outside of LR. Any ideas out there?

There IS no plus sign in my version. I've attached a screen shot to illustrate.
In the following image, taken from the adobe labs video that announced the feature, you can clearly see a button for creating a new album. It is absent in the version on my computer.
If I click on the "go to album" button, it just opens facebook and opens the relevent album with no option to create a new album. Not only does it not let me create a new album, but it does not let me select ANY other album but the one random album it displays in the publishing manager window. You can also see in my above image that the album name is grayed out and cannot be selected. Clearly this does NOT work.
I'm running a 64bit version on a Dell computer with an Intel i7 cpu with 12 gb ram so I'm sure it's not a hardware problem.
I appreciate any help you can offer.

The thing is, PDF is not an "image" file format. Here are the image file formats that Facebook supports:      "Check the photo format. We only support certain types of image formats, so we recommend using .jpg, .bmp, .png, .gif, and .tiff files."  Be well...

  • Upload photo in Who's who

    Hello everyone,
Can you advise me about the procedure of making "upload photo" option available in the who's who's iView. We are using Netweaver 7.0 sp14. I have looked into the "Content Provided by SAP". But it doesn't show up anything about the photo upload. Can someone help me with this. I would be very thankful for you.
    Thanks a lot,
    Kind regards,
    Gopal.

    Hi Gopal,
Why not try User Details iView.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/cf/95f6409daddb12e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
or try Integrating User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service) in the Portal Menu
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/96/e65a42ea221153e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
When the user choose Personalize (top right of the Portal), the page for personalizing your portal appears. The detailed navigation for this page now also contains the User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service) link.
For teh Portal I used, we setup the self service so that the user themselves can upload their recent photo's (according to the size) which will appear in the Who's who and even when they perform TREX search for users.
    Hope that helps.

  • Sence iv got the new virsion i cant upload photo's via -mail or facebook

sence iv gotten the new Version of fire fox i cant upload photo's
    via e-mail nor face book.
i sure like old one better

so, what i ended up doing was installing dropbox, uploading every single photo in my ipad and iphone to their cloud, then deleting the photo in each device and then in one (the ipad) downloading every single photo, so every photo enters again in the photo app and its like its a new photo so it streams to the pc,and to the iphone...
    long time, but it works...

  • I can't upload photos to facebook from iPhoto 11 (9.4.3) Message says :"An unknown error occurred, please try again later"

I have a new MacBook Pro 15" Retina with OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (just did the combo update)
iPhoto 11 (9.4.3) is installed and freshly updated.
I used to share photos from iPhoto directly from my previous computer (a 2009 MacBook Pro running OSX Leopard).
It doesn't seem to work anymore on my new computer. When I try to connect to facebook, I keep having the same message :"An unknown error occurred, please try again later".
I am in China, where Facebook is blocked, but I have a VPN on (Astrill), simulating a connection from LA. I have no problem at all to access Facebook from Chrome, Safari and Skype.
I am sure that I am typing the right username and password.
I made sure iPhoto wasn't blocked in my facebook app settings.
I tried to delete the account, closing iPhoto and relaunching. It still does not work.
I tried to delete the com.apple.iphoto.plist from Library/Preferences (as suggested on another thread in this forum). It didn't do anything.
It is getting very frustrating and I really don't want to throw my new computer through the room. Anyone managed to solve this issue ?
    Thanks.

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:
    Type
    ping facebook.com
into the window. Do you see any transmissions? What is the IP address used?
    I see:

  • Direct upload from Photos app to Facebook & iOS Photos Album

When I use the Photos app to upload photos to Facebook, it places all of the pictures in an album called iOSPhotos.  There is no option to post them just to my normal Facebook Timeline. In other words, I'm forced to select an Album.
This is a problem because I get a huge mishmash of photos from different dates, times etc in this album called iOS Photos.  Instead of commenting on an individual upload, people end up commenting on the whole iOSPhotos album.  So you get a huge odd conversation appearing over time as more photos end up in there.
Apple, could you please allow us to upload a photo to the timeline, without forcing it into a specific album?  Or to allow us to create a new Album on the fly?

Once again, very aggressive and defensive response. Neither addresses the question nor aids in finding a workaround.
The Facebook api is open to all, and allows any album or the timeline to be specified. Many other apps and platforms manage that. So the Facebook end of this is available and ready to use.
It is an Apple choice to load to 1 specific album only, instead of offering the user a choice of album, or indeed the timeline. So the only part of this Facebook/Apple interface that needs a change to address this request is the Apple end.
My Android kit does this nicely enough, as does my Macbook Pro , its just my IOS devices that struggle.
It is Apple's absolute right to leave this as it is, presumably to nudge users further into the iCloud ecosystem, but it is a legitimate request and entirely within Apple's control to resolve.

  • How do I upload photo from Droid Ultra to Facebook?

I have the Motorola Droid Ultra and I can't figure out how to load a photo from the phone to Facebook.  Can anyone help me?
    Thank you, Margie52

We can definitely help you start uploading photos right from your Ultra, Margie52! Do you currently have the Facebook application installed on your Ultra? If you do, you should be able to go to your main News Feed, and at the very top, you will see the option for Photo. This will then access your gallery. Just pick and choose the photo you like, and choose the icon on the bottom right hand corner which will have a square and pencil symbol. Let us know if this helps out. Thank you, Margie52.

  • My MacBook froze whilst uploading photos from iPhoto to Facebook and now the album is empty. Any way to find my lost snaps?

I Was trying to upload photos, in an album, from iPhoto to Facebook on my MacBook. It crashed and I had to do a hard reboot. When I we t back into iPhoto my oictures had gone. Is there  any way to find them.

Do you have a back up?
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • I'm new to Mac and cannot figure out how to upload photo's from my iPhoto library to eBay for the purpose of selling. Can anyone help?

I'm a seller on eBay and very new to Mac. I just started to list an item when I got to the area of uploading  pictures of an item to my listing. I cannot figure out how this is done. I downloaded pictures from my camera to iPhoto and they apear not only in my iPhoto library but in an eBay folder/album I created. When I go to upload photos I cannot find my photos in either the Library or the eBay album. I've tried using both the basic uploader and and standard uploader choices provided by eBay.

While running iPhoto you'll need to select the pictures you want to use for eBay and then select Export from the File menu. The Export Dialog box has several options and I believe the second option is File Export - that's the option you want to choose. Now you can select the picture quality, size, and export. The file selector will appear so you can indicate the folder you want the pictures to be exported into. Now you can take the next step, sending them to eBay.

I am no longer able to upload photos from iphoto to Facebook. The "publish" button is now "grayed out."  Any suggestions?

The window doesn't automatically pop up now. When you plug the card reader in, you should see a 4th option on the lower bar of the photos app. I think it says camera. Tap on that then you can see and inport your photos.
If you are still having issues, try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again. It won't hurt any data but can clear gliches.

  • Facebook upload no longer working ("no photos in this album")

I've shared photos from Aperture to Facebook in the past, and it has worked just fine. But now, when I try to create a new album or upload photos to an existing album, they don't appear on facebook.com.
It does take time to upload, and I do see network activity as if it's actually uploading the photos... They just don't show up in the album on Facebook:
Is anyone else having this problem?

I am having this same problem.  The album is being created, but no pictures are showing up in it, despite Aperture reporting no errors.  Repeatedly syncing doesn't seem to fix the problem.
