Can you be a little bit more specific about a specific test that doesn't work?
For example the "Windows Management" works for me, any sample of one that doesn't work?

  • New Features in 11.2.2.2

Is there a list of New Featuers / Bug Fixes between 11.2.0 and 11.2.2, Went through the documentation (Release Notes) and mainly it talks about difference between 10.8 and 11.2.

The first link below is to the 11.2 new features guide. The second link below is supposedly the 11.2 new features for Oracle Text, however the only new features listed are for 11.1 and prior, so it appears that either there aren't any new Text features in 11.2 since 11.1 or they left them out.

  • OBE SQL Dev 1.5 New Features has broken link to file sqldevmngdb.zip

    Hi there,
It appears that one of the file download links (*sqldevmngdb.zip*) in the Prerequisites for OBE Tutorial Oracle SQL Developer 1.5 New Features is broken.
Can you please repair this and update me when that has been done.
    Have a great day.
    Kind Regards,
    Gary.

    Gary,
Thanks, I'll get that sorted, but until we do, (don't laugh), the second half of the link actually works.

  • Why is it that now when i click on a link and i mean every link i am asked by firefox to allow this. is this a new feature cos if it is its damned annoying

in firefox now every link i click on always goes to allow to go to the link. Is there a way to disable this cos if its a new feature its damned annoying.

In firefox, click on tools, then options, then click on tabs and tick the last option in tabs that say "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately".
    I hope this helps.

  • Address book linked - new feature?

Faces now offers me people from my address book to use to tag photos. I'm pretty sure this has only been available in the most recent update but I'm not sure.
It very handily imports names and email addresses which you can then use with facebook.
Has anyone found a way to link a "Face" that ou have already created with an address book file?
I only seem to be able to do it when creating a new face.
    Cheers
    Andy
ps i know about http://prosopagnosia.dessibelle.se/ but think it should be possible just in iphoto

    I agree.
This is a new feature in the latest update and doesn't appear to have an 'off' switch.
I'm surprised this has been developed/added as a feature as most users will have a substantially smaller number of people that they wish to build photo albums around compared to the number of contacts in their address book, and so it inevitably makes it more cumbersome to name faces.
For what its worth, I have less than 20 close friends and family on my 'corkboard' that I'm interested in going through the time investment of face recognition for verses 500+ address book contacts.
I will suggest to apple that they at least prioritise the names previously used in iPhoto within the drop down list.

  • Override email a link or create a new feature ???

    Hi all,
I just want to ask if i want to email a document link from send to, but i want to grant read permission automatically after select the persons who i want to send the email to, should i override the send to or create new feature or is there any way to do
that using share Point designer ???
    thanks in advice.
    Jina

    Hi Jina,
The goal cannot be achieved with SharePoint Designer.
To achieve this goal, it is better to create a custom solution with some code which will send an email with the link of the file and grant read permission on the file to the corresponding users.

  • New features of JDev 10.1.3.2....

    Hi ,
What are the new features of JDev 10.1.3.2 or where can i find them...????
Is it really worth to download and use this new version instead of JDev 10.1.3.1 for somebody who begins learning the tool.....????
    Thanks , a lot
    Simon

If you google for "new features of JDeveloper" you'll get to this link:

I always claim that there is no reason to start your learning with an old version of the tool.

  • New Features in Logic 8

Here's a link to the New Features in logic 8 .pdf
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/NewFeatures_in_Logic_Pro8.pdf
    {New song length is 12 hours at normal tempo}
    RealDave

    Thanks RealDave.
I'm still reading through the manual as well...and so far I do not see any mention of an improvement of the SRC (sample rate conversion), which was an issue.
I hope they have re-done that code in this update. I will probably email Apple, although, they never answer...so...
    Cheers

  • A Success Story & First Impressions of New Features

Like many of you I was plagued with some of the serious problems with updating my Domain file: disappearing photos, missing blog comments, missing link bars at the top of the page etc. I tried the various tip and tricks sugested here with no luck. When the 2.01 update to iWeb appeared last Friday I downloaded it but I held off using it. I had already lost about 6 hours out of my life playing around with iWeb 2.0 with nothing to show for it. After reading many posts saying it didn't help I was going to hold off.
Don't ask me why, but I changed my mind. Monday I started working on my site. Creating 10 album pages to replace my homegrown versions, adding some navigation aids, relinking etc. I also moved the photo I wanted to show as the album preview to the first position on each photo page. All in all I spent about 8 hours working on the site. I would save every 10 minutes or so and duplicate the domain file and keep several generations of these around. There were no missing photos, crashes or hiccups of any kind.
This morning I uploaded the site. The first thing I noticed is this version of iWeb seems to be faster creating the files to be uploaded. Much faster. I'm not sure if this is an improvement to the code or a result of the smaller domain files created in iWeb 2. Instead of 15 minutes or so it took 5. The first upload of the files to .mac took just as long as ever, nearly 45 minutes on a high speed cable modem connection. As the upload was completing the first hiccup occured-the upload failed with a message saying there was an error creating a file. I was not optomistic at this point. I figured I was having the upload problem others have reported. All my page icons were back to red and I figured it was back to square 1. At least all the content was still in the Domain file.
When I hit the upload button the second time it took the same 5 minutes to create the files, but the upload to 30 seconds. It evidently just repaced the file that had the problem. I have since made edits to my site several times and iWeb seems to be much faster uploading the pages. I get the impression it doesn't reupload the whole page content but merely uploads the changed portion. I added a text box to 30 pages and the changes uploaded to .mac in about a minute. I am very pleased with this increase in speed.
As for the site itself I love the new features. I love the picture gallery where clicking on a picture opens up a larger copy and gives you thumbs of the other pages. I tried my site in 3 different Mac browsers with no issues and also the latest IE for Windows running under Parallels 3. Unlike what others have reported, my slideshows appear normal size on the PC. I like the new album pages and the automatic linking they provide. In iWeb itself I like being able to collapse the album folder to reduce the clutter in the navigation sidebar. I like the fact you can create a blank page now. You don't have to strip another page type to get a blank page. The skimming effect on album pages works equally well on the Mac or PC side. One interesting thing I have noticed is the picture captions are in a different font on the PC side. I use the Freestyle template for my site and the picture captions are in a handwritten style font (Handwritten-Dakota). In the past these would be converted to .png image files so they would display correctly on the PC. In this version the fonts are rendered in a serif font that looks like times. I imagine this may make the page load faster but I'm not surre if I like this feature or not. The page does look drastically different.
Speaking of dislikes there are a couple. I wish iWeb would ask you before it goes and downsamples your photos while converting to the 2.0 format. I don't like the idea that if you want to use the high quality hi res versions you have to reinsert and recaption them. Like many others I would like to be able to turn off the download button when viewing the photo galleries.
While I think Apple deserve a spanking for the initial release of iWeb 2.0, now that the patch seems to be working for me I feel it is a worthy upgrade. I am 90 percent happy with the new features and I think the other 10 percent can be tweaked by Apple in response to user feedback. If you'd care to stop by and visit my site here is the address:
    http://web.mac.com/jmahoney
I hope those of you still having trouble will get your sites up and runing soon. If you held off on the 2.01 upgrade, you might want to give it a shot (after backing up your Domain file). I was pleasantly surprised.
    Jim Mahoney

Thanks for your account and experience with the new iWeb.
Nice site now, although vegetarians better skip it
I personally got rather hungry viewing it. And it is only 13.30 here.

  • What is the best way to communicate my displeasure with new features?

tl;dr How can I complain to FireFox about the new search bar in new tabs? (Or other new features)
I've seen a question or two here about this new feature already, and it's quite obvious that the developers at FireFox are not exactly interested in what their users think of this particular feature.
The feature I'm referring to is the new search bar in the New Tab.
I've attempted a fix mentioned in a previous post (create a sub-directory 'Chrome' and create a CSS file containing specific style commands) and it did not work. I've tried a couple of other fixes mentioned on third party websites as well, to no avail.
Knowing that FireFox would add something like this without allowing an option to disable it is quite disheartening. I've been enjoying my daily use of FireFox over other browsers I had used in the past because they were cluttered and unclean, and at the time FireFox was not. This search bar has ruined that. My pinned tabs have been squashed to roughly half their original size, and the search bar is unsightly, at best.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already have a search bar at the top of the screen? I fail to see any purpose in this, except to annoy users. If there is a further purpose, please inform me (though to be completely honest, it will not change my opinion here, though it may soften the damage done)
As of yet, there have been very few features in FireFox that I have been displeased with, and each of them was shortly followed by an add-on to disable them (Or they had come with an option for disabling upon release)
I'm not here asking for help as to how to remove the search bar, I'm here asking for a link that I can use to directly inform the developers of FireFox of my opinions regarding this update.
On a third party site I read an article that claimed one of the developers made mention of an option for users to disable this search bar... According to the article, he never received a reply.
That gets me thinking, if FireFox won't listen to it's own team, should we expect them to listen to us?
I'm quite close to simply leaving FireFox because of this feature, as now it's little better than what I've left behind in the past. PaleMoon was nice, though a bit slower.
I'm not saying that I'm going to stop using FireFox, only that I'm quite put off because of what I've read, and the lack of an option to disable this feature.
If such an option exists already, please give me instruction as to how to do so, and then kindly disregard this query.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a nice day,
    Dillon P.

Sorry I am only another Firefox user and do not really see anyway of helping you with this quest.
You may use feedback and make short comments.

*And see comments made from the interactive page https://input.mozilla.org
Statistical data from the comments are made available to developers and others.
AFAIK no one from Mozilla is likely to wish to engage in conversations about newly introduced features or deliberate feature regressions. Developers did post on the forum for a day or two after the introduction of Firefox 29 (Australis) but did not hang around and the subject of Firefox development is again considered to be off topic and outside the scope of this forum.
The forum manager who will confirm this is off topic is Madalina. (Listing & contact details https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/meet-team )

if you do discover anywhere where staff welcome discussion and engage with end users please let us know.
I will tag this post as '''escalate''' so that at least it is seen by HelpDesk staff maybe they are aware of some method end users may use to engage in dialogue, besides posting one way input comments.
IIRC there was talk of listing any such resources if they were discovered, so that we could post more helpful replies than this one.
We do not specifically deal with hacks to Firefox on this forum but will try to help with advice, mainly saying use addons. Please continue to post if you have direct questions you think we may be able to assist with.

  • New Features in ECC 6.0

    Dear Experts,
I was just going through the latest release notes of SAP ERP Central Component (Release 6.0). I would request you to explain the concept of a couple of new features that am listing below, in the simplest possible way. I need to give a presentation to one of our clients regarding the same and would like to explain them the concepts of these new features in a manner in which they can easily understand it.
My queries are listed below. Kindly respond.
    1) What is the concept of iPPE? How doest it work in conjuction with PS? How to best explain the concept of iPPE for a layman to understand?
    2) Easy Cost Planning has been enhanced with the following new features,
        a) Aggregated Items & b) Archiving
What is the concept for these new features? What are the clarifications that need to be given in order to use these new features?
Waiting for all you experts to respond.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Gokul

    Dear Gokul,
I can answer to one part
iPPE and PS can be integrated so that there will be logical link between objects in PVS (Product Varient Strucutre) and Project in PS.
there n:n relationship between WBS element and iPPE node , also betn Network and iPPE nodes/varients.
Use can use data from iPPE for project procurements.
Using reference points you can tranfer material from iPPE structure to PS Network.
    Thanks,
    Niketan
