New field in field catalog in MC21

hi masters
i have to create a charecteristic in infostructure and the reference data element should be there in field catalogs in the 2nd screen (pop up) of tr. MC21. But im not able to find one suitable data element. Is there any way to create our own field catalog in this and then use it?

Hi Ravi,
The transaction for maintaining self defined catalogs is MC18..
Also check the following link first..

If the requirement is for SD then I suggest you add your fields to MCVKENNZ1
(inside the included structure MCVKUSR)
as an APPEND structure..
If you need your own characteristics and they do not exist already in the delivered field catalogs then you have to create your own field catalog..

Check once again in IMG>SD>Basic func>Pricing >Pricing control>define condition table>conditions : allowed fields> go to new entries then press F4
check here newly created field is there or not
(or) when creation of condition table check properly next page button in menu bar
still if its not found

Shipment cost pricing - new field catalog

hey ,
i want to add a new field ( air_line_company ) to condition table .
i added the field to structure komkaz and to table vttk .
what is the equivalent user exit to USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP in the shipment cost
and what code i have to add there ?
is there anything else that i should do in order to maintain this field in the condition table ?

Hi!
It may help you to use additional fields of vt01n, as VTTK-ADD01 and customize it to show a list of all the air lines that you have in a catalog.
Logistics Execution > Transportation > Shipments > Maintain Additional Data
In this standar way you dont need any exit and can include it on pricing procedure.
Change the name of field description on CMOD transaction and you can use it.

Field Catalog (Output Billing) for new Condition Table

Dear all,
I am struggling with new Field Catalog Fields for my Condition Table
To determine two different printers I have tried to add ERNAM (SAP author of document), and to print or not to print certain documents depending on Customer Number (Proforma and Packing list) I have tried to add KNDNR
No matter which field I add, the system warns me "Choose the key from the allowed namespace"
and in the Acces Sequence later on I am getting a red flag.
So far I have gotten advise that I need to ABAP user exits, create tables and lots of tech stuff.
I want to configure the system, not program it.
So: Can I add fields to the Field Catalog without being an ABAPPER or can I not?

Hi,
You can add the field in the OUTPUT COMMUNICATION STRCTURES
OUTPUT COMMUNICATION AREA for Billing is KOMKBV3 and the Include is KOMKBZ5.
If you want to add the new field ERNAM then add this field from the VBRK
Enter the field ZZERNAM in the commnication strctre KOMKBV3 in the include KOMKBZ5 in the data dictionary
By entering the field in the Include KOMKBZ5 you automatically include it in the commnication structre KOMKBV3
Next add the field ZZERNAM in the communication table KOMB
Now assign the values to the field in the FUNCTION MODULE KOMKBV3FILL_
Include the ZZERNAM in the field catalogue for the CONDITION TABLE of Billing documents .
After doing this you can check the new field in the FIELD CATALOGUE in the CONDITION TABLE for OUTPUT DETERMINATION.
Please try this for your Application area ( as i gave example for Billing documents) and revert back if you need any more details

Adding new field to product allocation catalog?

We are configuring product allocations in SCM 7.0 and have a requirement to add a new field to the standard field catalog for the allocations check. We have followed the procedure outlined by SAP to add our new field to the structure /SAPAPO/KOMGOZ, add the field to the field catalog, and copied the source code to ERP.
The issue that we are having is that new custom field that we added to the field catalog is not being populated when we execute /SAPAPO/ATPQ_PAREA_K - Characteristics Combinations from Planning Area. The product allocations group that is being used in /SAPAPO/ATPQ_PAREA_K has three characteristics. The first two which are SAP provided fields are being populated correctly, but the last custom field we added to the field catalog is not. It is just blank.
Is there a step that we missed during the configuation. We are only using this field for the product allocations check (we do not use Rules Based ATP).

I was expecting with examples but anyway.
consider the examples of your CVC
Country Region brand SO DV DC mat plant etc...
now you want to first get confirmation on SO and DV , Prd allo group with these 2 characteristics
same goes for all other combinations.
now if you want to go with Either Or /And.. decides if you need to go with one product allocation procedure with many prod allocation group /or/ a sequence product allocation procedure.
Its very straight forward as such... if you come up with examples, i can give better details.
Looking at point 3 it looks like you want to go with 'OR' so you will have to go with sequence.
(tcode: /SAPAPO/ATPCQ_GENER)- is to check the customizing, sometime you might move the Prod allocation from dev system and just to make sure there is no issue in transport /missing config.. it will check with transaction code. I don't think you have to run this every time. After every transport..may be you have too as a caution check.
Imp: just to check @ different levels i dont think you will have to create different planning area. If all the characteristics on which you want to (combinations) is available in one planning area , you should be good with one planning area only.
Hope this is helpful. I would suggest to follow what we have discussed so far and then you can create another message after the configuration/approach you finalized with new issues/concerns you will be facing.

New Field Addition in Allowed Field Catalogs -Pricing.

We have requirement of having Material Description field in the Allowed Field Catalogs in SPRO --> SD --> Basic Functions --> Pricing --> Pricing Controls --> Define Condition tables --> Allowed Field Catalogs in order to fetch the same for Pricing Condition Table creation with Mtrl Description as Key Combination.
Hence, as a first step, have added the MAKTX field inside the "ZStructure" (which was created before) inside Main Structure KOMP and activated the same. Then i have added the same field MAKTX in Allowed Field Catologs of Pricing using New Entries.
Now i have tried to create a new Pricing Condition Table with field catalog of Material Description (the added field), but there is no such field is available for selection.
Is there anything i missed to do, so that the newly added field is available during New Condition Table Creation with key combination of the added field.

Have added the required field in Structure KOMG now and it is available for selection in Condition Table Field Catalogs. However, am allowed to select this field only when creating a New Condition Table and if i want to add this field in the already created condition table in change mode, it thows an error message - "Function Code cannot be selected".
How to proceed further.

New field (Customer group 5) to be added to the Catalog for Pricing.

For the creation of a new Condition table, I require the field, KNVV-KVGR5 i.e Customer group 5 field present in Sales area data ->Extras -> Additional data in Customer master to be added to the Catalog of allowed fields since this field does not exist anywhere.
I have already gone thru the threads available on adding New field for Pricing which has an example/detailed explanation with the Item category (PSTYVV) field.
But the field I want i.e KNVV-KVGR5, is a part of Master data, so please guide me with the steps to follow to add this field in the field catalog and hence use it for creation of a new condition table.
1) Should i add this field in KOMP (i.e item) or KOMK ( i.e Header) or KOMG?
2) Should i include it in KOMKAZ or KOMPAZ?
3) Should i create this field as data element or structure and what should be the domain used?
4) For the value flow, should i use the Item -level user-exits or Header level mentioned in other threads?
Please guide for the same urgently.

I was finally able to create a new field for Cust.grp.5 i.e ZZKVGR5 and added to Catalog to be used for Pricing.
Then i faced a peculiar issue as below:
For the business requirement, we defined a new tax condition table for determination of tax rates. For this, we are using both standard and custom fields to derive the correct tax rates in sales/billing documents like below
A859: Country/Distr. Chl/Cust.grp.5/Material (Here Customer.grp 5 was added following the SAP Note: 531835)
The field was inserted in the communication structure KOMKAZ which is included in both KOMK and KOMP.
During the document processing, the pricing analysis view shows no value in the customer grp 5 field, though it is maintained for the customer used in the sales order. The code has been written in MV45 and RV60 both as guided in SAP Note: 531835. But the values are not flowing.
Solved the above problem as below:
M posting the answer to help the community for similar issue.
Also, the new field tat i had added was Customer Grp 5 field of Customer master ->Extras->Additional field and I wanted the value to flow in the ZZKVGR5 field before the Pricing for the sales order was called.
After trying all, we have finally fetched the value from KNVV-KVGR5 and got it moved to ZZKVGR5 field through ABAP coding.
After this when i select/click on Pricing for a particular item, it gets picked up correctly and properly.

New field in Pricing field catalog for Item category

Dear SD colleagues,
We have scenario of maintaining pricing for Lower level BOM component.
Like:
Base price - 100/-
When BOM explodes - 95/-.
For this, I have taken ABAPer help and inseted a Z field for Item category in Pricing field catalog.
Then, a new condition table is been generated using ZPSTYV and included in Access sequence. For Base price condition type, we have maintained record in combination with ZBOM-Item category for lower level BOM item.
A new pricing routine is created in VOFM for Condition value and same is been assigned to Condition type as Alternative calculation type in pricin gprocedure contro data.
Whe I create Sales order, value based on ZBOM is being pciked up by system.

Question: When i add a new custom field and custom table for pricing, what are all the things i need to do in terms of ABAP.

How can I add new field in field catalog in Output determination. I heard it can be done through a user exit. Can somebofd help with the user exit name.

if you want to use new field in output determination - you need to modify corresponding communication structure (KOMKBV1 - header structure for V1 application - like sales orders, contracts,...)
Then in RVCOMFZZ in one of the userexits you can populate those fields.
After your fields are added to KOMKBV1 - you can use them in output determination.

How to add new field to Field Catalog in Pricing?

I want to create new field in field catalog (i.e. Average Supply Quantity), and then populate it to Web UI (user must enter value in this field for calculate price in opporunity). What actions I need to do for this?

Fields added to field catalog are to define condition table.
Go to SPRO->CRM->BAsic Functions->Pricing->Define Settings for Pricing->Maintain Field Catalog.
Create the attribute in field catalog with below parameters,
Field Type = 'I' ( item field ) if its header field then it should be H and corresponding structure is CRMT_ACS_H_COM
Implementation type = ' '
Enter field name
Virtual = 'C'
Visibility = ' '
Selection type = 'A'
Enter the data element
Now save the field catalog and click generate.
The next step is to pass value to the field in order to do pricing. This should be done in CRM_COND_COM_BADI. If the field is a
header field then assign value to the field in method HEADER_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE else use method ITEM_COMMUNICATION STRUCTURE. You will find the attribute in importing structure of the both the methods. Assign value (i.e. Average Supply Quantity) to the field.

Follow below procedure as its same as condition technique...
Add a field to a new condition table in Pricing (Condition Technique):-
I will explain you the process with below example...Please follow steps in below sequence-
Try to add the filed from the field catalog. In case the required combination field is not there, you can add the field through the following process to filed catalog and create the condition table. It is most common that one or other time we need to use this function while configuring multi tasking & complex Pricing Architecture.
Here I'm giving a simple guide to add fields to the Pricing Field Catalogues:
For example you want to use field PSTYV ('Sales document item category') that is included in structure KOMP ('Pricing Communication Item') as a key for a condition table.
When you create a condition table (Transaction V/03), however, the system does not propose the field in the field catalog.
Condition access, field catalog, allowed fields, KOMG, KOMK, KOMP, KOMPAZ, KOMKAZ, PSTYV are the other terms which we need to know about, to add Fields.
Reason and Prerequisites:
For technical reasons, field PSTYV was included in structure KOMP, however, not in structure KOMG ('Allowed Fields for Condition Structures').
Proceed as follows:
1. Call up the ABAP Dictionary (Transaction SE11) and create data type ZZPSTYV. Choose PSTYV as a domain.As a short text, you can use, for example, 'ZZ - sales document item category' and as a field label, you can use the field labels of PSTYV.Save, check and activate your entries.
2. Call up structure KOMPAZ in the ABAP Dictionary (Transaction SE11) in the change mode and make the following entry:
Component Component type:
ZZPSTYV ZZPSTYV
Save, check and activate the change you made.
3. Note:Because of the change in structure KOMPAZ, field ZZPSTYV is now known in structures KOMG and KOMP because structure KOMPAZ is included in both structures.
4. Call up Transaction SPRO. Navigate to 'Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Pricing -> Pricing Control' and execute 'Define Condition Tables'.
Choose 'Conditions: Allowed fields' and include ZZPSTYV as a new entry.
5. Note:Now you can use field ZZPSTYV as a key field when you create a condition table Axxx.
6. Supply the new field you defined by including the following source code line in USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP:
MOVE xxxx-PSTYV TO TKOMP-ZZPSTYV.
In order processing you find the user exit in Include MV45AFZZ, and in billing document processing you find it in Include RV60AFZZ.
Consider that you can also use this note as a help if you want to use other customer-specific fields as key fields in a condition table.
For header fields, use structure KOMKAZ instead of structure KOMPAZ and
USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK instead of
USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP.

Adding New fields to field catalog

Hi friends, i have comeup with a requirement. its related to output determination. the output have to be sent based on certain criteria. for this we decided to create a new condition table(Acess) and add it in the Access sequence. To create a condition table we need to select the fields from the "Field Catalog". so for this the field should be avilable in the field catalog. Since the field we are going to use is a new Zfield the field is not avilable in the "Output field Catalog".
What to be done to make the field avilable in the 'Output field catalog'
Can anyone give some input on this? Thanks in advance.

Following are the activities.
1. Find out what are the output communication structures involved in that output condition table. To find that, go to field catalog, and enter a new field called "test". Then it will give you a message "The field test is not a part of the communication structures KOMB, KOMPBV* KOMKBV*where * equals 1, 2 or 3 based on whether the output is for order, delivery or billing documents. For delivery document it is KOMPBV2, KOMKBV2 and KOMB.
2. Now having known the communication structures for the field catalog, go to all these structures in SE11 and append these structures with a new field say ZZ_SOLD TO PARTY with the relevant data element and domain.
3. To populate the field while doing transactions, you have to represent this field by a foreign key which is a field from transaction say LIKP_KUNAG for a delivery output.This coding takes place in a user exit. The correct user exit has to be found. Once this is done, the new field is ready for input and it will be available in the list of allowed fields in the field catalogue.
4.Now you can create a condition table using the new field and use it as one of the accesses in access seq.

The structure also included in the KOMPAZ .
Now I am trying to use the fields in creation of condition tables. But I am unable to see the fields in the field catalog for pricing. Can anyone help?
