New filed in Asset Report

Hi,
In asset register business want to see new filed/text information (i.e. Brand name of the asset). Please let me know how can we add a new file in Asset Master in AR01 or Asset History Sheet reports.
Please guide me.

In asset Master (AS03) there filed "Supplementary text" ANLA_LETXT Length 50.
Please suggest me, its possible or right or wrong.

New-Asset Report - awesome, but can't get it to run?

Howdy - I am trying to run the awesome new-asset report that Zachary Loeber shared with the technet community.

However I can't get it to run against 1 server or multiple servers.
I followed this information someone else asked and I get back many errors, all related to the parameters.
Can someone help me out with this?
A. Should this be saved as a function? And then I've read conflicting or maybe different ways to run a function. Should I do import-module or just run the script as a single command line, and I've had this issue with other functions. Should they
be put in a specific location on my system? I'm newbie, so thanks for the help!
B. When I run this, I've tried using this simple command: .\New-AssetReport.ps1 -Computers testserver1.domain.local -PromptForCredentials -Verbose
C. Then I tried this example as well from a single line or creating another ps1 script, fails either way.
D. What variables are required to be filled in, and what parameters are available such as report type, include memory, but not disk, etc?
Here's the error if I enter the command like this: .\New-AssetReport.ps1 -Computers testserver1 -PromptForCredentials -Verbose
New-AssetReport : Cannot process argument transformation on parameter 'SaveDataFile'. Cannot convert value
"System.String" to type "System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter". Boolean parameters accept only Boolean values
and numbers, such as $True, $False, 1 or 0.
Here is the error if I use the other example which is below. I get many errors, all tied to the parameters such as -verbose, etc.
$Servers = @('Server1','Server2')

Asset report error in New fiscal year

Dear gurus,
Today my company meet the problem when run asset report is pop up "fiscal year change not yet made for company code 1000". But when i ask my user they told me that they already run the AJRW.
I seacrh to forum how to check whether any tcode that fiscal year change havee benn made or not?
when i run OAAq it show company code 1000 = 2009 It okey?.. any guru please help.. can we run another AJRW?

In OAAQ you see only the closed fiscal year.
In table T093C you can see the current fiscal year. Here you an see if the fiscal year change have been made or not.
Jagdish is right, you can make the fiscal year change multiple times. This is no problem at all.

Standard Asset report - INVNR (Inventory field) requirred

Hi Guys
Is it possible to get inventory field (INVNR) in standard asset reports. I dont want to use dynamic selection in any standard report.
That means in a standard asset report i need one more column for inventory name for every assets

Bala,
Yes, it is very much possible. Create a new sort version in OAVI and select the filed INVNR from the talbe ANLAV.Using this version while you execute the report and call in this field from the change layout.

SSRS 2008 Fixed assets Report Prior YTD Depreciation column, and Accum Current Book Depreciation column

I have created Fixed assets Report , but our auditors would like to see separate Prior YTD Depr in separate column and current book Depr in separate column , right now Prior year YTD depr amd Currrent year depr showing in column Amount Curreny column,
but I would like to show that amount in net column and Current book depr by each to accum and show in where I have $ 710.95 amount , can some one help me how can I change my query to come up what I am looking for, I really need to fix this for
our auditors, and donot to show the details by each month, any help will be really appreciated, you guys are so good, I wish I know more about Sql,

I don't think I understand exactly what the ask is. What field allows you to distinguish between prior year and current depreciation? TRANSTYPE?
I think your data is fine. I would suggest using a Matrix instead of a table. Just set the column group to group on the field that distinguishes between current and prior year depreciation. Add all of the rest of your column outside the column group so they
are only scoped by your row group(s). You can add those columns either before or after your column group columns.
If you have a lot of work into your report already and don't want to create a new matrix which will require you to recreate the work already done on your table. you can convert the existing table to a matrix as described in this technet wiki article:

Hi Govind,
I have solution for your requirement.
Go to Tcode OAVI
Create new entries.
Difine a name for the sort version and enter description for the same.
Choose fields for display in standard SAP asset reports.
For your case enter table name ANLAV field names MENGE, STORT, and KOSTL. etc
Here you can choose various other fields also.
Then use this sort version while runnnig the SAP standard asset reports.
By using this sort version you can able to to see the quantity, location and cost center fields available during any any asset balances report. So take a printout of the asset balances report S_ALR_87011964 - Asset Balances by Asset Class along with the above fields and go for physical verification
Note: This development you can directly do it in your production system
This will defenetely fix your requirement.

Asset Report - Date

Hi
I would like to get some clarification regarding report date. I've always noticed that asset reports can be only run as of <end of a period>. Such as month-end date and not as at any given date.
For example if I run AR01 as at 26.07.07 it gives an error saying the "Report date is invalid". I have to run as at 30.06.07. I'm unable to view as of now status.
Appreciate if someone could confirm my understading or state whether I am wrong.

Just go through the SAP text below. I hope it helps you.
Reporting date in program
The report date, on which the evaluation should take place.
You can set this parameter using the selection variable 'FIAA_REPORTING_DATE'
Enter the date as a calendar date. If necessary, the system converts the date to a fiscal year, according to the fiscal year version in use for the given company code. The system then uses this date to determine the fiscal year for which evaluation should take place. The following situations are possible:
The report date is in the past or in the current fiscal year:
In this case, you can request the report for the last day of any period, providing that period is still open. If the previous fiscal year is already closed, you can only run reports for the last day of that year. For evaluations in the past, the system uses the report date to determine whether it should access the online database or an archive file.
The report date is in a future fiscal year:
In this case, you can only run a report for the last day of the fiscal year concerned.
Note
You should also consider the following in regard to the report date:
The current fiscal year is always the year which was opened during the last fiscal year change.
In order to make sure values are identical at the end of the old fiscal year and at the beginning of the new fiscal year, the system resets all values (transactions, depreciation) in the fiscal year when you request a report for the first day of the fiscal year; therefore only cumulative values are displayed.
You can only request a report based on depreciation posted in financial accounting with the last day of the last period in which depreciation was posted (or a following period) in the relevant fiscal year as the report date.

R12 Format Payment Instructions - new field required in report output

I need to add a new field in the report "Format Payment Instructions " output. How can I add the logic to pick this field and then add to the layout.
As per note 562806.1, it gives instructions on how to re-arrange the layout of the format payment instructions but not regarding adding logic to pick new fields.

If u use fiscal year V3 Variant means April to march , thenthis error is not showing
But if u use calender year variant means Jan toi Dec , then this error is
showing
U can change asset Fiscal year first , then u see the report
Note : it is not mandetory u run the depreciation first then u chnage the asset fiscal year
In Asset accounting 2 financial period are open
Suppose if u use fyApril 2008 -march09 and new financial year start april2009-march10 , then u close the period in asset accounting april2007-,march08
Same in case of calneder yera , if u use calender yera jan 08 to dec 09 and new financial year jan2010 to dec 2010, then u close the periodin asset accounting jan 07 to dec 07
so first u close the asset period t.code ajab , then u chnage the fiscal year ajrw
Then u see the report

Asset reports not generating error message showing

I need ur help, I am not getting any asset reports, i run depreciation. when i am going to generate asset reports in T.code AR02 and S_ALR_ series reports error message showing "Fiscal year not yet made change", I closed fiscal year and open new fiscal year. I am not getting any asset reports from assets purchased ,
Client fiscal year is Calender year, In 2004 fiscal year all assets updated in sap that fiscal year also i am not getting reports. i run deprecial upto 2006.

Is correct,
The current fiscal year should be open othere wise it is not possible to run reports.
You can have only 2 years open
Run depreciation fiscal year xxxx (when there are assets for depreciation)
close old fiscal year xxxx
open fiscal year xxxxx

Error while creating a new layout in a report.

I am getting this error message:
Failed to save data.
Error occurred when creating xml data.
when I try to save after I create a new layout in my report.
Is there some common problem with templates that could cause this to happen?
I'll continue to look around for an answer but if anyone would like to see the template and a sample set of XML data so they can help me figure out what the problem is, that would be swell.
-Nevermind. The problem seems to have dissapeared. Apparently the appropriate order of operations is
1: Create new layout.
2: Upload RTF Template
