New firefox update-version 35.0 - general use of firefox

Since the actual firefox-version 35.0 is updated, some unusual problems with firefox can be noticed.
For example if starting firefox with several windows and with opening the last session of firefox, the order of the windows are not the same as before and I have to close some windows to set them in the order as before.
And if some tabs in a window are closed and I have opened them again, they are not opened separately one after another, but only one tab in which all the closed tabs are opened then after another, but the previous ones are overdubbed from the following ones.
Only if the closed tabs are opened simultaneously, then all the closed tabs are opened separately again as before, but not at the same place of the tabs in the window as before.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

The newest GarageBand version is a 64-bit application, and 32-bit plug-ins will not work any longer. Also, the plug-ins need to be compatible with Mavericks's sandboxing. Check at the Manufacturer's web site, if there is an updated version of your plug-in available.

Carrier updates are provided by your service provider.
Are you talking about the ios update that Apple provides?
If so, then:

It should delete nothing, but you should always have everything on your comptuer and backed up just in case.
Why would it not be safe?

I get constant notifications to update to a safer and better Firefox. I've tried many times with no success. Now it tells me my computer is not compatible with a newer or updated version of Firefox. What can I do to make it more compatible?

You could use firefox 3.6, which is old but still supported and secure. However the best solution is to give up on using Google Toolbar because Google no longer support it with firefox, mainly because it has little to offer.
You can still save google bookmarks by copying them into Firefox. Please have a look at

You settings and such are in a separate place and not in the Firefox program folder as has been the case since the browser was known as Phoenix 0.1
Your settings like Bookmarks, history and such are in a Profile. If you uninstall Firefox and then install same or another version you will find that your settings are still there since it will use the last Profile used unless selected otherwise upon Firefox start.

That is correct. The curren version of iPhoto requires Mavericks.

Issues during installation of WDJ7 Patch after new Smart Update version

Hi everybody,
today I installed the WebLogic Server 10.3.2 64 bit to use it for Enterprise Manager Grid Control 11g. One of the prerequisites is the WDJ7 patch for the WebLogic Server.
After the update of the Smart Update on July 11 it is not possible to get that patch over the Smart Update gui (Note: 1294294.1). I tried to download the patch with the id 9438213 over My Oracle Support. The descripton (SU Patch [WDJ7]: Mandatory Patch required on WLS 10.3.2 for Oracle Grid Control (GC) 11.1 install) of the download looks fine, but in the zip file the jar WDJ7.jar is missing. The zip files contains only the following files:

NIXN.jar
patch-catalog_15563.xml
patch-catalog.xml
XLXA.jar
README.txt
How can I get the WDJ4 patch? Do I use the wrong patch id?

If you look at the install documentation of the Grid Control you'll find:
"Ensure that you apply patch ID WDJ7 on Oracle WebLogic Server using the Oracle Smart Update utility. This patch fixes bugs 8990616, 9100465, and 9221722."
After loading the patch into Smart Update you'll see that the 3 entries which appears under tab Manage Patches are in fact fixing those three bugs.

Anyone else having battery life sucked out of their iPhone since downloading new iOS update? I don't use the phone much yet it dies faster now.

The new update is killing my phone faster than before. Is there a way to fix this problem? I have shut off my location setting and lowered the brightness and shut wifi off when not at home.

I need to know if there is an update to use AVG with the new firefox beta version

I downloaded the new beta 4 version, I really started liking it till I realised that it did not have several add on's including AVG add on, which I want to keep, is there going to be another updated version so I can keep my add on's that I have,I had to go back to the older version (3.6.13), Thankyou for your time.

You could try disabling hardware acceleration. If you are unable to access the setting in Options > Advanced > General, you could change the setting for "layers.acceleration.disabled" to true in the prefs.js file in the profile.

Unfortunately, Safari cannot be updated past 5.1.10 on a Mac running v10.6.8.
So, the options are to upgrade to a newer OS X or use Firefox or Chrome.

Since the last update (version 12), Firefox takes a lot of time to open new tabs, usually it open them, but i can't see the tabs and browse through them

it also ignore my mouse clicks on tabs.
i can browse them only by ctrl+Tab (but i see only the first tab on the tab bar...)

hello, in order to further diagnose the issue please [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|run firefox in safemode once]] & see if the problem is occuring there too. if not it may be related to one of your addons or hardware acceleration. in this case try disabling all extensions in tools > addons > extension, restart firefox and reenable the extensions one-by-one (restarts of the browser might be necessary after each time) until you find the one that's causing it. you can disable hardware acceleration in tools > options > advanced > general.
if the two suggestions from above don't help, please also have a look at your security-software & make sure it's not blocking/sandboxing the updated version of firefox or the plugin-container...

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
