New Firmware download....no connect

Hi,
My player says "Firmware Problem". When I connect the supplied USB to my player and computer a sign pops up saying "organise now". When I click on it my Creative Media Source opens up and a sign pops us saying "Player not connected". I have tried plugging the USB into several other ports but the same happens. It used to work fine, just ever since I have needed to download a new Firmware. Obviously I cannot start the new Firmware because a sign pops up saying player not connected.
Can anyone help me with this? Would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
James

Its called rescure mode. There is a sticked post at the top of the forums with more about it (and what each option does) Try the options (especially the reload os one), and see if any of the options fixes your problems.

Not quite sure from your post whether E71 still functional upon previous firmware and just fails to update every time that you try; if that is the case it may be easier to find another PC.

this should be up on the FTP website
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

  • Time Capsule connecting to windows with new firmware

I have opgraded my TC´s firmware to 7.4.1, and now my PC cannot log on to the harddrive in it. I get this error message: The computer cannot connect to the TC, check that netbios is on.
This is translatet fra danish, but the meening is the same.
    What is wrong???

The new firmware does not work with Windows XP. I had to revert to the last firmware, and the last version of Airport, but the good news is, you can't do that thru Windows either. You HAVE to boot thru MacOS because their instructions for Windows and the Airport do not work. You are unable to find previous versions of the firmware unless you use the Airport util thru native MacOS.

  • HH5 dropping connection - new firmware version

Does anyone know the version number of the new firmware for HH5 that's meant to fix this issue so I can establish if I'm running it or not?
    My HH5 says the folowing:
BT Home Hub 5 (Type A) | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.204 | Last updated Unknown
The fact the last update is unknown suggests to me that it hasn't updated recently, but I may be wrong about that.
There's a BT.com page that lists the "latest versions", but it appears well out of date and quotes 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6
My broadband service was only connected on February 16 and worked properly for just eight hours before starting the three-minute or so drop-connection-and-reboot cycle it's been on ever since.
After 15 years trouble-free cable broadband access with Virgin at my old address, you can imagine I'm not impressed.

I did a factory reset at about 12:30.

  • How do I install new firmware for WRT160N?

Okay, I'm having the same DNS problems that everyone else seems to be having with this router. Wireless devices work fine, but my desk PC consistently fails to connect. If one of the wireless devices is actively sending/receiving packets, my desk machine works fine. I have a WRT160N v2 and the firmware version is 2.0.02, build 11 (the notorious one). My PC is a Vista 64 bit OS.
I saw they have a new version of the firmware (2.0.03), which I have downloaded (to hdd). Can anyone explain (in step by step, simple terms) how this ignoramus can install the new firmware (assuming of course, that this new version will solve my connection problems). TIA for any information/instructions you all can provide...

Upgrading the firmware resolves many problem, so you can try it...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"
Now reset your router.....Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • Error in firmware cFP 2020 & connection time out error in MAX

    Hi!
My cFP 202O status LED is flashing twice - which indicates that there is an error in the firmware (according to the user manual). I've already installed the latest firmware downloaded from the NI website and it says that I'm suppose to update the OS from remote system in MAX. When trying to update the BIOS system, this comes up.
Version on the remote target : 10.1
Available version on the host : 10.4
I'm a little confused as to which is the remote target and which is the hosting system? It also says that the previously installed software will be removed if update is continued and that it might damage the hardware if manually booted or turned off so I'm a little skeptical to proceed.
I'm alsoreceiving error messages in MAX. Errors in MAX are 'Connected - No software installed' and connection to a remote device timed out. I'm wondering if this error occurs because of the firmware problem or is it because of the timeout settings? Which is better? A higher or lower timeout time?
I'm new with this. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The target is your compact Fieldpoint.  The host is your PC that you are on.  Since the PC has a newer version, you will want to have that software downloaded to the cFP by way of MAX.  Of course there is a slight chance you could lose power to the cFP if your luck is bad and the power goes out in the middle of the upgrade.  It would be best to have your power supply for the cFP running off a battery backup UPS for security.
I'm guessing the error is due to your firmware problem.
If you are really uncertain on how to proceed, it may be best if you contact NI directly and they could help walk you through the update process.

its a zen microphoto and i erased the firmware accidentaly (Do'h) and now the firmware download says my player is not connected

Message Edited by dkajake on 09-29-2006 08:03 PM

    Try this:
Go into another PC (IF POSSIBLE)
Then install the Zen software that came in your installation CD.
Plug in Zen and download new firmware.
The PC should recognize it and you will be able to get it into the player.
After that you can go back to the other PC and see if it works out (it should).
This worked for my micro a year ago.
Otherwise, contact costumer support. Good luck!!

  • Important Question About N95 New FirmWare?

    Hi,
I need to ask about the updating of the new firmware for n95...
while i am updating if :
    *the PC shutdown
*someone call me and the mobile ring at the updating process
    *the electricity went off
*the internet connection have a problem
*the battery become empty at the updating process
WHAT Will Happen to The Phone????
somebody says its over, the mobile is gone, its damaged
&the REAL QUESTION HERE IS :
Can i just restart the process from the begining or what?
&Does the Backup process that i had done it at the PC is useful to get back the old Firmware or its just for the files i installed on the phone??
    thx gus.............

while i am updating if : ... see here
    http://europe.nokia.com/A4577229
    *the PC shutdown
    - you should get "Software update failed".
*someone call me and the mobile ring at the updating process
    - calls can be made and received while the software is being downloaded. The call will be terminated automatically when the update phase begins.
*the electricity went off/*the internet connection have a problem/*the battery become empty at the updating process
    - Power or internet connection was lost during the update. The update may have been successful. Remove the battery and if the software was not updated, try again.
*Does the Backup process that i had done it at the PC is useful to get back the old Firmware or its just for the files i installed on the phone??
    - Nokia device firmware cannot be downgraded. Once you have upgraded your device, you will not be able to restore it to the earlier version.
