New flash version with chrome

Hi,
I have Chrome and was playing facebook games perfectly until the other day.  All of a sudden, I would have to click 1/4" lower than the actual buttons I wanted to click in order for it to work.  I tried the same games in IE and they worked fine.  I then thought that the problem was Chrome, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it.  Hey, everything was great, well for a couple days anyway.  This morning, I go to play my games and it says I need a new version of Flash, as it's intergrated with Chrome...I went to about:plugins and enabled the one of the 2 that I was supposed to and then proceeded to my games.  SAME THING AGAIN!! I have to click 1/4" lower.  This is very annoying and I cannot play some of the games because of this..  I now realize that the problem is not with Chrome but it'swith Adobe Flash...how can I fix this?
Please help,  thank you!

I tried this and it didn't work. I didn't have this issue until I "upgraded" to the latest and greatest version of Firefox. Is there any way I can go back to a prior version without the problem? I really don't want to use IE.

  • Problems with the new flash version.

    Turned on my computer (win 7, ff5) and found that both skype and youtube are crippled.
    After some digging, it becomes clear that there has been a new flash version and im far from the only one with problems. I try to use the uninstaller - which works suspiciously quickly- and reinstall. I get a message saying that its already installed. When i try through firefox direct, it says an existing version may be in use.
    So either the uninstaller or the installer is broken.
    When on youtube for example, it alternates between telling me i need to update the plugin and to download  from adobe. I have now done this several times, following the instructions. No suscess.
    Have tried to change the hardware accelleration off, but as i cant see anything thats flash.... its not going well.

    Is your Win7 32-bit or 64-bit?
    What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash (32-bit) / C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash (64-bit) ?

  • Stage3D and Flash issues with Chrome

    I was playing The Last Stand Dead Zone earlier with all of the settings i nthe flash game set to max and now I HAVE to play it on the lowest setting. Also my Nvidia 765m is apparantly now supported by Stage3D or whatever it is. I really have no idea what to do. This page also has the wrong info about my operating system http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html it says that mine is 32-bit when it is 64-bit http://puu.sh/6derE.png I want to play my game and I am very pissed at the moment because I cannot.

    More issues with Chrome.
    All of a sudden one day I noticed two problem:
    I cannot login to SCN via Chrome.
    SCN search does not funciton.
    If I click on any regular SCN link from e.g. an email notification, the screen gets stuck with a blank screen in authentication mode.
    Similarly, if I enter a search term in SCN search, I get a blank screen.
    Also, if I click "Login" in the masthead, the screen gets stuck looking like this:
    I've cleared cached, reinstalled the browser, and ensured I'm using the proper certificate by eliminating all but the one certificate.
    Any suggestions?

  • How to open newer Mediathek Version with Aperture?

    I want to open my iPhoto Mediathek with Aperture but Aperture says that it isn't possible because the iPhoto Mediathek was created by a newer version of iPhoto which isn´t supportet by this version of Aperture. I don't know what to do?

    Aperture 3.4.5, iPhoto 9.4.7
    Then you are in bad fix. With that combination you are no longer able to open the library in Aperture.
    You will have to wait for a new Aperture update, that will be compatible with your current Beta-version of iPhoto.  Hopefully that will come with the release of the new MacOS version this autumn.
    There is no supported way to downgrade your library back from that version to make it compatible with the current Aperture 3.4.5.  Restore your Aperture library from your backup, and let iPhoto 9.4.7 not touch it again. The safest way would be to revert iPhoto back to 9.4.3 as well.
    Anyway, we are not allowed to discuss pre-release software here in the public forums.

  • I have loaded the new Flash version into Firfox several times, but none of my sites recognize it when using Firefox. It works fine on all other browsers, but I would prefer to use Firfox if this problem can be solved.

    I use Firefox 4.0.1 on a Mac running Os X10.5.8. When I try to run Facebook or other sites that are heavy users of Flash I get a message that the new version of Flash must be loaded. I have loaded the latest version several times, but still get the message and these sites will not run on Firefox. The sites run fine with Safari or Chrome but I prefer to use Firefox if it can be made to run these sites. Thank you for any suggestions you have to help fix this problem.

    Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
    This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
    1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
    2. Select to "Options
    3. Select "Applications"
    4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
    5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
    Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

  • New flash version?

    I heard Adobe will release a new version of Flash designed for animators? Is this true? Here in the studio we still use Flash CS3. In CS4 there are files that take 30 minutes to open. We had some issues with CS5 to when opening files created in CS3, like masks not working.. So I hope there will be a lighter version specific for animation, or we'll probably move to ToonBoom.

    You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
    *disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
    *disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
    *disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Troubleshooting
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • Does New Flash conflict with Gmail & YouTube ???

    I installed the Master CS 5 Beta today and noticed two puzzling differences in my computer. (Besides requiring over 15 gigabytes of hard drive !)
    First - The Advanced document attachment features in Gmail and the ability to see progress bars when attaching files to messages, and attach multiple files at once to a Gmail message, stopped working. I just had a white box where the "Attach Files" link used to be. This feature, according to Gmail, requires Flash. Once I reverted to the basic feature (and turned off the Flash-dependant features), I was able to attach files again.
    Second - All YouTube videos, no matter where I link to them, appear now as just a vibrant pink box full of large pixels. Audio works but video is scrambled pink squares that move erratically.
    Anybody know if its Flash or some other part of the new master Creative Suite 5 that is not playing nicely with YouTube video ??
    VLC and QuickTime still work OK.
    Mac OSX 10.6.3 on an old 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac.

  • Can't download new flash version 10.1

    I am using Windows Vista, Mozilla Firefox and have uninstalled version 10.
    This happened last time there was an upgrade.
    I try to install new version and get a message bar at top that says : "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page."
    I click the button that says "Install Missing Plugins" and get an "unknown" plugin called gp.xpi and then my computer doesn't know what to do with it and neither do I.  It asks what program I want to use to open this and I don't know.
    Anyway, I can't get beyond this point.  Have restarted computer after uninstalling.  Have tried reinstalling 10 and nothing helps.  I can't find reference to this plugin in other forums.
    Any help?

    Thank you so much
    I've had that almost identical problem trying to upgrade Flash Player into Firefox 10.6.3 under Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. It didn't seem to make much difference whether I had uninstalled the previous version of Flash Player (9.0.45) or not, the problem was still there. DLM would install and after restarting Firefox DLM would just load and sit there doing nothing - blank in the top half and the big yellow "Close DLM" button in the bottom half of the window. All this trouble in Firefox although the active-X control upgraded in IE8 with no problem at all. What a pain!
    Once again, problem solved - many thanks.

  • (new) flash cdfrid with multiple choices

    My cfgrid allows the user to select several options.  What I need to know is how to capture those selections.  Here's the grid code:
    <cfgrid name='art_grid' format='flash' selectOnLode='no' selectMode='edit' query='GetArticles'>
         <cfgridcolumn name='ArticleIndex' select='yes' values='1' type='boolean' display='yes'>

    </cfgrid>
    I've tried a cfselect and a cfset (both with selectedItem and selectedIndex); both receiving the same error:  You have attempted to dereference a scalar variable of type class java.lang.String as a structure with members.
    I created a structure to hold the responses and then tried to populate it with:
    <cfloop collection='#art_grid.selectedItem# item='i'>
         <cfset ArtStruct[i]='#art_grid.selectedItem.ArticleName[i]#'>

    What should I use instead?  (Yes, I googled the error message and this is where I got the structure idea.)

  • 32 bit Flash version with Windows 7

    Howdo
    I am being asked by a supplier of an online technical test to install a 32 bit version of adobe flash player because the 64 bit version I have currently installed will not work. My environment is Windows 7 Home Premium, IE10. I have visited the Adobe download site, but that merely points me to 64 bit versions.
    Any ideas ?
    Cheers
    Richard

    Thank you for your reply.
    The online assessment will not work. I suspect it relies on flash to run it. After I log in I proceed through a couple of screens which talk about the assessment. The screen supplies 2 buttons, 1 to start a practice session, another to do the actual assessment. I click the practice button whereupon a small popup window appears with a "please wait" message. This is quickly replaced by an errorpage.aspx which reports an error code. Following a link to an explanation of the error code it tells me this:
    "This message is displayed when the connection to the assessment system cannot be established. A firewall or security software may be blocking the test from downloading or one of your browser software components is not up-to-date.
    In order to overcome this problem, please ensure your version of Java and Adobe Flash Player is up-to-date. You can download the latest version for free using the below links:
    Java: www.java.com/getjava/
    Flash: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/"
    In addition to this a link is displayed which helpfully attempts to verify environment setting. It opens another page which lists some current computer settings. Those checked as correct are given a green tick, those in error are given a red cross. Operating system and browser type are OK with green ticks, Flash plugin version and windows media player are marked with red crosses with links next to both to show how to fix them. The flash link takes me to another screen which displays this message:
    "If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) please ensure that you use the 32-bit version. Flash is not compatible with the 64-bit version of IE."
    Then it points to the adobe site to get the right download.
    If my 64 bit flash also comes with 32 bit, how do I switch it on please ?
    Thank you
    Richard

  • New skype version with msn account

    I cannot sign in using my microsoft account anymore i try Live: id but it doesnt work. I even try signing in as my email still doesnt work it doesnt have the options to sign in as msn account anymore

    What version of Skype are you on (help > about Skype). Signing into skype with your Microsoft account should be possible (has been for years) even in the latest version, as I'm guessing that will be the only sign in option soon there is no reason for Skype to remove the feature (sign in using another account MS account). http://www.skype.com/go/getskype Your MSN account IS your Microsoft account. (email/password, not live:X thats just how Skype treats MS account names) Make Sure your OS and Internet Explorer is up to date aswell as drivers and make sure no securety software blocks Skype from operating normally. If the issue persist, please state your OS, Skype version and the exact nature of the problem (be sure to try to use the login with a differnt account option at the login screen). For good meassure please restart your computer, and your router if possible.

  • Site failing starting 9/21 with new Chrome and new Flash updates - PLEASE HELP!

    I have a vertical site for boating with 110,000 users.  The main part of the site is based around a 400KB swf that is mostly AS3.  It has worked flawlessly for years.  I haven't updated it in about 4 months.  There has been no server update that would be causing any issues at all in at least a month.
    All of a sudden on 9/21, some users started complaining that the main map view was all white.  Other things are not working correctly either.  It happened mostly with users who had automatic updates turned on in Google Chrome.  I understand that a new Flash version was auto-installed as a part of a Google update yesterday.
    I went to the Adobe Flash page and was prompted to update my player although I have 10.3.183.10 installed.  I didn't do that.
    Today people on other platforms are complaining that they're getting the same white screen although the bulk of our users are having no problems, probably because they haven't been updated.  It seems to happen in Internet Explorer and Firefox starting today.  I have a feeling these people had their Flash version updated.
    I updated to the beta v11 and now I'm experiencing the white screen blank problem - it is perfectly reproducible.
    To view the place where this is happening, go to:
    https://activecaptain.com/X.php
    The problem occurs on both OSX and Windows.  I don't think it is operating system involved at all.
    There are no errors, warnings, messages, traces, etc. coming out on the developer windows in Safari in v11.  Absolutely everything appears perfect except it isn't working at all.
    This is causing a major problem and I don't know what to do.

    Hi JeffActive,
    Sorry for all the inconvenience you encountered so far.
    We did investigation on your problem and found out it's related with our security update on 9/21/2011.
    When load your website with debugger plugin player, the following stack overflow errors are found:
    AS error occurred:
    Error: Error #1023: Stack overflow occurred.
                    at com.afcomponents.umap.gui::UIMapControl/getClassByName()
                    at com.afcomponents.umap.gui::UIMapControl/getClassByName()
                    at com.afcomponents.umap.gui::UIMapControl/getClassByName()
    This haven't been seen in flash player no later than 10,3,183,7.
    By confirming with our developers, in 10,3,183,10, we added some checks to detect stack overflow conditions. That's why 'Stack Overflow Occurred' errors are detected in your codes.
    If go to below security bulletin page, you can find more detailed information of security updates in 10,3,183,10:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-26.html
    As there are stack overflow errors in your codes, flash player(later than 10,3,183,10) avoids loading it. To fix the problem, need to fix those AS stack overflow errors in your codes.
    We don't have the source code of your swf file right now, so can't tell which AS codes cause this stack overflow issue. Could you test your swf file in our latest debugger player(10,3,183,10), then find out which lines of AS codes caused the problem? Once the stack overflow issue is solved, the swf should be loaded correctly.
    Again, sorry for all the inconvenience cause by this new security changes. We're improving our player to be more secure. We would be glad to work with you to solve your problem ASAP if any help needed from us.
    Thanks,
    Yan

  • New Flash Media Encoder

    So, I've been playing with the new Flash Media Encoder here:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/fme/
    It was a really simple download and works seamlessly with
    Flash Media Sever. I think you have to update FMS2 to the January
    07 update to use it, though. Anyway, below are some options for
    trying it out. Have fun :)
    Per Chris H from adobe:
    1. You don't need a main.asc file on your FMS app to publish
    and broadcast live streams with FME.
    2. You can get a live stream from FME to playback in the
    normal FLVPlayback component that ships with Flash 8 Professional.
    Just make sure you have the "isLive" parameter set to true and the
    contentPath should be:
    rtmp://server_name/app_name/inst_name/stream_name.
    Option from FMS livedocs:
    1 New Flash Document with two layers: actions and video
    display.
    2 Add this code from the FMS livedocs to the actions layer:
    var my_nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    my_nc.connect("rtmp://<YOUR RTMP ADDRESS>/streamtest");
    var my_ns:NetStream = new NetStream(my_nc);
    my_video.attachVideo(my_ns);
    my_ns.play("stream");
    3. Open Window > Library > Click little dropdown toggle
    next to library title and select a new video display object and
    specify actionscript control.
    4. Drag Video Display out of the library and give it an
    instance name of my_ns and publish it. I used a laptop for this
    part so that I could stream to the file from my FMS server. I saved
    the .swf as video_receiver.swf.
    5 Stop Flash Media Server and create a folder called
    streamtest in the FMS Apps folder, then start it again.
    6. Fire up FMEncoder, specify the RTMP address you specified
    in the Flash 8 AS code, and be sure that the stream is named,
    "stream" (no quotes). Also, toggle off the save stream file, unless
    you want to save the recording.
    7. Click start on FME and open the video_receiver.swf and you
    should see the stream playing.
    Another idea:
    Use the receiver from this tutorial:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashcom/articles/broadcast_receiver.html

    We have our own FMS and I have just installed the FME on a
    workstation. FME reads video perfect but when I try to connect to
    the server it won't accept my username and password. Where do I set
    this? I have installed the add-in for FMS and also upgraded to the
    latest 2.0.7 release. I'm green to the Flash Media Services so this
    may come as a dumb question. Please help!
