New Formula as a Key Figure in the New Selection

Hi,
In the Cell Editor, is it possible to include the New Formula as the Key Figure in the New Selection?
Please find below the Cell Editor. I have just given the sample of my requirement.
Column A                                         Column B
A1) Net Sales ( Cell Reference)             B1)
A2)                                             B2) Inventories ( Cell Reference)
A3)                                             B3) Inventory Days ( New Formula)
A4)                                             B4)
My Requirement is in the Cell B4 I want to create a New Selection in which the Key Figure should be the Inventory Days ie the cell B3.
Is it possible to include and if so how.
Thanks,
Rajesh Janardanan

Hi,
Yes you can change this display by following path in tcode :spro
Goto >SPRO>SAP Reference IMG>SAP Netweaver>Business Intelligence>Settings for reporting and analysis>General settings for reporting and analysis--> Set alternative currency display(table RSRCURRDISP).
Flag = A     After value
Flag = B     Before value
hope it helps..

  • Changing the formula to a key figure on a query

    Hello All,
I do not have access to BEx. I would please like to know how to change the formula to a key figure "Total $" in a QD Promo Analysis query (technical name - N03_Q_D_N03_SD_502_0003). Will transaction RSRT take me to the query and eventually the formula so I can change it? If so please give me guidance as this is the first time I go into transaction RSRT. If there is another way please also give guidance.
    Thank you and kind regards
    Keith Kibuuka

    Hi Vishvesh,
Thank you for your response. Maybe access to BEx was the wrong word - I do have access although I was trying to avoid configuring the SAP logon to add this particular client onto because I have not done this before. My boss has helped me and I have now have "access".
Therefore from the query designer can you please guide me on how to change the formula to a key figure on a query? Input from all people is also be very much appreciated.
    Thank you and kind regards,
    Keith

  • Unable to create new structure to hold key figures - BI 7.0

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a new structure in a query - this structure will hold restricted key figures.  I right click in the Columns section and select New Structure. The system won't allow me to drag/drop the restricted key figure into the structure - it's added as another key figure in the existing structure.  If I right click on the structure and choose New Selection, the key figures are not shown as options for adding to the structure ... only characteristics are listed.  Any ideas on why this is happening?
    Thanks,
    Pam

    Hi Pam,
i think cell restrction will solve your problem, i am not sure.
Just try to do cell restriction.
Just go throw the below description.
You can use any cell that you define in a formula. If you want to reuse the value from the implicit, generic cell definition that is automatically created at the intersection of the two structural components of a query, select this cell in the Cell screen area and, using the secondary mouse button, choose New Cell Reference. A description taken from the two structural components now automatically appears in the cell. The symbol shows you that a cell reference exists for this exception cell. Now you can reference this cell. You can continue to use the implicit cell definition and do not have to manually generate this value using a new selection.
    Functions of explicitly defined cells:
Select a defined cell and choose the required function from the context menu (secondary mouse button).
    ● Edit
    ● Cut
    ● Copy
    ● Paste
    ● Remove
    ● Where-Used List
Before you delete a cell, you can check for the formulas in which the defined cell is used in the where-used list.
You reach the properties of a defined cell by selecting the defined cell. In the Properties screen area you can also make changes such as:
    ● Changing the description of the cell
    ● Changing the highlighting of the cell
    ● Hiding the cell ( if you do not want to see the values of the cell)
    Help cells
In the Help Cells area you can define additional cells for help selections or help formulas. You can use the functions New Selection and New Formula in the context menu to define help cells that are not displayed in the query to serve only as objects for help selections and help formulas.
For example, you can define an invoice in a help cell and use this in a “real” cell to calculate a duplicated invoice.
    a. Using the secondary mouse button, click on the empty cell next to Help Cells to reach the context menu. From here, choose New Selection.
b.Use Drag&Drop to drag the Invoice key figure into the right-hand Details of the Selection area.
    c. Enter a description.
    d. Choose OK. The cell contains the description of the selection. The symbol shows you that a selection exists for this exception cell.
    e. Now choose New Formula from the context menu of the required cell of the query. The new formula that is not yet defined appears in the cell.
    f. Select the new formula and choose Edit from the context menu.
    g. Use Drag&Drop to drag the cell you have just defined, which you can find in the Available Operands window under Cells, into the Detail View window. Click on the button twice.
    h. Enter a description.
    i. Choose OK. The cell contains the description of the formula. The symbol shows you that a formula exists for this exception cell.
    Result
You have defined one or more exception cells for a query.

  • Insert new hierarchy nodes for key figures

    Hi All,
In BI 7.0. when you right click on the key figure folder , you get an option called " insert new hierarchy node". Can anyone please explain what is this feature for. Is is just for reporting purpose where you can drill down for a particular key figure for more clarity. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Satish

    Hi,
    This is for reporting purpose.
For example you have four key figures which consists the "TOTAL DEMAND".
Suppose TOTAL DEMAND = Purchase Requistion + Planned Order + Purchase Order + Production Order
We may provide hierarchy on TOTAL DEMAND, so that in display you may expand TOTAL DEMAND. When expanding TOTAL DEMAND it will show all four key figures with the total numbers in TOTAL DEMAND.
You may refer follwoing document as well.

    I hope it will help.

  • Business Process: Final Demand Plan Key Figure in the past for APO DP

    Hello APO process experts,
I have a BPX question for APO DP process owners, consultants or gurus:
1.- Have you ever seen in any SAP APO customer, that in their APO DP planning books, they chose or designed to update the Final Demand Plan key Figure in the past closed historical buckets with the Actual Sales?
Meaning that that in the Past closed historical Buckets, Actual Sales and Final Demand Plan, look exactily the same.
Meaning that they create a dynamic Final Demand Plan key figure so to speak, yet they did not choose to create a key figure that also keeps the Final Demand Plan as originally entered.
2.- Would you think that doing the above, without keeping any keyfigure in the planning book that actually shows what the Final Demand Plan was in the Past, is a good practice?
The Demand Planner could still retreive the Final Demand Plan from BI reports, yet, dynamically they could never really see it in the planning book.
3.- Do you think the above dynamic key figure would bias the Demand Planner's behaviour to manipulate the future open Final Demand Plan buckets to enter volumes in order sum to a monthly total, independently of what were the over and underachievements in the past (since they are not really visible to him) ?
I would really like your feedback,
    thanks in advance!
    JD Loera

    Hello Thanks for your feedback.
I agree with your point, and I hope that i still get more feedback from other Business Process Experts.
I am trying to build a case for my client, to challenge the decision of their initial design as this practice is going to hurt the Demand Management process, if what they intend to achieve is a true "unconstrained demand plan"
    Much appreciated

  • Populating the key figure in the Cube

    hi frineds,
I need to populated the custom key fiugre added by me in the cube using the update rule. But if i see the tables of the cube it is seperate for every dimension and key figure. how can i select the particular record from the key figure table with out the reference of the dimensions table.
    Thanks
    Prem

    so you want to
    1. read particular record from cube
    2. populate the amount there.
but populating the amount directly to infocube is not advisable and not feasible as well.
my suggestion will be virtual infoprov based on transformation
you will have to write your logic there and you can populate the amount based on billing number (you said you have amount against billing number).
at query runtime based on transformation/logic your amount will be populated.
    only drawback reduced query performance

  • Poplulate key figure thru the start routine

    Hi Experts,
I have update rules for my cube. In the start routine there, if i wrote abap code would it automatically fill the value of key figures in the cube. Can we do that with the ABAP code ?
Or do i have to go to each key figure's routine and then refer to the internal table data in the update rules etc.
If someone has done this before, would you pls walk me thru it.
    Thank you,
    T

    Hi Tia Ismail,
I hope it is wrong to update the cube fields directly in the start routine.
    i,e
    <i>add DATA_PACKAGE-/bic/zslsgm to /bic/ft_mismets-/bic/Zslsgm.
    add DATA_PACKAGE-/bic/zsalesamt to /bic/ft_mismets-/bic/Zsalesamt.
    add DATA_PACKAGE-/bic/zinvlines to /bic/ft_mismets-/bic/zinvlines.</i>
    The above statements are wrong.
Then start routing you will update the values (from blank to some value) for these fields. And also make 1 to 1 mapping Between these KF of info cube to Fields of Communication structure. i,e
    Zslsgm(Info cube KF) <---> Zslsgm(Communication structure field)
    Zsalesamt(Info cube KF) <---> Zsalesamt(Communication structure field)
zinvlines (Info cube KF) <---> zinvlines(Communication
    structure field)
The code you have to use in Start routine is :
    tables: /bic/pzproduct,
    /bic/ft_mismets.
DATA ITAB like /bic/pZproduct occurs 0 with header line.
select * from /bic/pzproduct into table itab where /bic/zproductlike 'misc%' and /bic/t_miscper is not null.
    Loop at DATA_PACKAGE.
    Loop at itab where
    /bic/zproduct <> DATA_PACKAGE-/bic/zproduct.
    DATA_PACKAGE-/bic/zslsgm = 0.
    DATA_PACKAGE--/bic/zinvlines = 0.
    DATA_PACKAGE-/bic/zsalesamt  = 0.
    Modify DATA_PACKAGE.
    endloop.
    ENDLOOP.

  • How to identify which key figure will the numeric pointer for deltas?

    Hi All,
I have created a numeric pointer for generic extraction ? but how to identify which key figure will the numeric pointer will use for deltas ?
how to identify the key figures which is suitable for numeric pointer. And the generic extraction is based upon the copa table?
Can anyone suggest me how the numeric pointer works and how to identify deltas are carried out at numeric pointer?
    Thanks
    Pooja

    Pooja,
If you are using a generic extractor which is based on COPA table, then numeric pointer may not be the suggested delta extraction mechanism.
A time stamp would be the better one to use.  In a time stamp, you can give a lower limit value of 300 seconds.. so that it will try to fetch the missed records.
Moreover, a delta would be based on a character, preferably a time char.
In your requirement, try to figure out the character on whichdeltas will be based.

  • Problems in using a calculated key figure in the Clustering Model

We have a problem in using a calculated key figure in the clustering model. With the limitation of the standard, in the Field tab, each calculated key figure cannot be selected from the selection screen directly. According to the SAP help, we have to use a dummy infoobject for a calculated key figure.
Are there any other ways to use a calculated key figure without using a dummy infoojbect?

    Hi,
Make use of aggragation property of the keyfigure, for summing the values of that KF.

  • Removing key caps on the new Apple Keyboard

I'd prefer to rearrange the physical key caps on the new aluminum keyboards, is there a relatively safe way of removing them?

    srdjanst wrote:
After only a couple of months of use, some of the keys have become really squeaky, and some feel as if the spring is broken so they produce unpleasant sound.
Contact Lenovo about this and ask if they'll replace the keyboard under warranty.
Before you call, pull out the keyboard and write down the FRU number. The procedure for removing/replacing the keyboard is in the Users Guide.
Lenovo buys keyboards from several different manufacturers. When you call Lenovo, give them the FRU number and ask for a replacement from a different manufacturer. The FRU is different for each manufacturer of the same keyboard so by giving them the FRU of your keyboard they can send you a replacement from a different maker.
