It asked me that too.Don't worry and just put it in. Itunes doesn't charge unless your son buys something. The password happens to me all the time. Credit card was only once. Just make sure your son knows not to buy anything without permission so he doesn't accidently charge you something.

New to java: have to develop for palm, symbian and pocket pc

Hello,
I am fairly new to Java. After a long time of searching for a technology which allows it to develop an application for Palm OS, Symbian OS and Pocket PC I am curious if one can do this with Java. I searched the Palm and Symbian homepages and found that those OSes can handle MIDlets. I could not found if they also can handle full Java-applications. For the Pocket PC I could not found a solution to run Java applications or MIDlets.
My questions:
- is it possible to run Java applications on Palm, Symbian an Pocket PC?
- if yes, which tools are the best to use? (SUN One?)
- is it possible to write "real" applications (for instance a spreadsheet) as MIDlet or can one use "real"-Java to develop applications for Palm/Symbian/Pocket PC?
Sorry if this questions sound a little stupid an thanks for every help/suggestion!

Normaly such devices only know MIDlets. This is becaus they do not have the power of a PC. In addition to that they are to different in hardware so an other API is to use.
I think it is notpossible to write a VM to do the same as a PC now.

I worked really hard on the game and I was the only developer. How come when I try to install a free game my phone asks for Verification Required before I can Purchase when I am trying to install a free game?

If you have a credit card on file on top of your gift card then it is asking you to confirm the security code for the card, which for a Visa or MasterCard is 3 digits located on the back, or AMEX has 4 digits on the front. This happens just to ensure that you are the account holder, and would happen from time to time whether it was a free or paid app, even if you have a credit through your gift card. This doesn't mean that your credit card will be charged.

Downloading a "free" game but incurring charges

Since August 2012 we downloaded 3 "free" games but were billed for that downloading. In the past before a charge was posted into the account a request for my password will appear before the downloading process, however in the last 3 occassions mentioned no such a request was made. Have the terms and conditions of use change this process?. If the game is listed as a free applications why we have been charged?. Thanks.

Have you received iTunes receipts that confirm that you were charged for the free games? Do charges appear on the invoice available in the Purchaase History section of your account when viewed in the iTunes app on your Mac? Have you confirmed with your bank that your account was debited for the game?
When there is a bank card listed in your account information, even with a free game, the iTunes stores and the Mac App Store will often verify the account with a small debit that later drops from your account's pending charges section because Apple does not complete the charge.

If this is indeed not the case and you have indeed not purchased anything from us, yet have been charged 239 DKK, there's obviously a big issue.
However, we're not in charge of the money handled in purchases, as Apple has chosen to be the only one controlling this.
As such you'll have to contact Apples support to get help with refunds.

The Zombie Farms game is free but "in App" purchases during game play are not. You are being charged for the purchase of "50 brains" not for the game itself.
Note that if you purchased this game after entering your password, etc. there may be a period of time where someone can play the game and make purchases without needing to re-enter the password.

Konami reimbursing w/ a free game for silent Hill HD buyers

Figure I would post this here. Those of you who bought Silent Hill HD some have been reporting that they are giving out a free game (and some rather good ones) for those that bought Silent Hill HD collection before 8/8/2012. There is no official release, but quite a few have been relating this info.
You need to email Konami with a photo of your receipt and mention your displeasure with the quality of the SH HD collection.
For those that don't know, the SH HD collection is basically incomplete. There missed some music/SFX files. There was original unfinished coding (fog is the main one) that the original resolution masked but in HD it's vastly apparent. Playstation received a patch that added the music and tried to address the other problems. Konami just announced that it won't be doing the same for Xbox and that they won't be producing anymore patches as the game is what it is.
