New G/l ledgers integration

Dear Gurus,
I have a requirement where I need to bring all the ledgers into one report like there are three ledgers one for profit center one for functional area and one for segment I need to bring all these in one line.
Since they are split in the Flaxgla table and i am unable to find a suitable datasources in there ne work around i can try for this please do let me know as this is urgent .

I would suggest to go for You tube videos (type learn SSIS or begin SSIS step by step) you will get lot of good tutorials to start with.

A user at EIS level is actually a user set up on the relational catalog where your olap models/metaoutlines are stored. For instance if you got to the OLAP model properties dialog and the General tab you can see the owner here is the user you use to connect to your catalog. You can also prevent other users from accessing models not owned by them by setting the security option from the drop-down list on this tab.Mark Rixon www.analitica.co.uk

unfortunately this VGA BIOS is not available separately for a mobile system since the VGA BIOS is embedded in the normal BIOS. So if you want to have the latest from toshiba supported VGA BIOS then just update your machines BIOS.
The problem is that a mobile VGA chipset has another memory and chip timings, so every manufacturer has (especially) its own version of the VGA BIOS.

Importing new business systems into Integration Directory PI 7.1

Team SDN,
Team We have presently upgraded to PI 7.1(inline upgrade XI 3.0 was the older version). There are some changes like Import of software component version from SLD to ESR. intially we use to do in Xi 3.0 by selcting tools and import, but now we have to do different manner like going to ESR click on new and under work areas we have SCV. Do we have any new procedure fro importing business system into integration directory PI 7.1.
Please share with members if wht are the new changes in PI 7.1 work proceses like the one i mentioned above importing SCV(please don't start ESR and blah blah) any real issues wht we will encounter in termsof PI 7.1

If you want to create a communication component for a business system from the System Landscape Directory (SLD), choose the Business System menu option.In the wizard, select a business system from the SLD and create a communication component for it in the Integration Directory.

New GL - Real time integration of controlling with financial accounting

What are the impacts of activating new GL in already existing system. I need to use the real time integration of CO to FI functionality in new GL only. Can i activate new GL for this function only?

Yes, by activating New GL you would have real time integration of FI with CO and you dont need reconciliation ledger as available before.
More over at the document level itself the profit centers are written to the balance sheets accounts which was earlier done in the period end activities to transfer the profit centers to debtors and creditors etc., which is known as "Document Splitting".
You also need assign the various GL accounts and sceaniors in Controllingwhich needs to activated with Document splitting.

I just want to know from where i can get the basic infomration about my current setup that i have and if there is a need to upgrade then from where i can get the installables.
1 How can i see my current installation is running on which support pack?
2 Where i can get the Adobe life cycle disigner I mean it comes with some NWS version or you have to buy seperately if so then from where and what does it cost
3 From where i can get the Installable to install the ACF on my machine ? Is it also cost something or freely available.

The information is on the top right under Software Components. You can also use the link All components to get more details, i.e. the ADS version.
2. Go to the SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/download and search for 'Designer'. Choose version 7.1 if you're higher than NW 2004s SPS5, otherwise take 7.0.
3. All ACF information is in SAP Note 766191.

If we maintain the non leading leadger in new GL , how posting go to new GL,
If i post GL document in F-02 in the non leading ledger..will that go to leading ledger also.
If we maintain non leading ledger ..do we need to post to that ledger separately..and do we need to maintain separate no. ranges for non leading ledger.
How to see the reports relating to non leading ledger.

Non-Leading Ledger: If you do not want to post the transaction to Leading and only to Non-Leading ledger, Use TCODE FB50L.

Purchasing a sound card for new computer which has integrated graphics

I intend to purchase a new hp pavilion elite HPE-150t series desktop computer. It has a Intel Core i5-750 quad core processor at 2.66GH with integrated graphics. I will use the audio of this computer almost exclusively for listening to music on my headphones, off my hard drive. Is it adviseable to spend the additional money to purchase a Sound Blaster sound card?? Thank you for your opinions.

On board sound is actually pretty good these days now. If you want digital sound. And the pc did not come with that option. You will have to upgrade to a sound card.

New G/L dataources integration

I am working on new G/L currently I dont have any line item datasource 0FI_GL_14.
My most reports are on the summarised level so I m trying to work on the new datasources which are created with transaction BW03 they are
3FI_GL_0L_TT Leading ledger
3FI_GL_Z1_TT Profit center ledger
3FI_GL_Z3_TT Functional area
3FI_GL_Z4_TT segment
Now one of the requirement in my reports is to show the functional area with segment i.e Z3 and Z4 ..and these two datasources dont have ne thing in common which I can use to integrate with..I want the two fields that is functional area and segment with in one line I dont even find ne thing in common to bringthem with table FAGLFLEXA.
Have you guys worked on such reports of finance please do let me know I have to report about this urgently and need your help,.

You can use
0FIGL_O10 - General Ledger (New): Transaction Figures
0FIGL_C10 - General Ledger (New): Transaction Figures
for Line Item
0FIGL_O02 - General Ledger: Line Items and in this you can enhance the fileds Porfit Center and Segments.

New iOS 5 apps integration ???

Can anyone tell me why Apple didn't think to integrate Reminders, Contacts and Calendar.
The fact that when I create a reminder it dosen't link into the calander app, or give me the option of inserting a contacts details into a reminder etc. is just downright insulting. Apple hire extremely intelligent developers, surely they could see the need for this type of integration.....???

Apple has never said why they did this (for that matter, never said why they waited so long to create a Reminders app), so any answer you could get on here would just be speculation (which isn't allowed on this site). You can go to other sites where I'm sure this is being discussed - but all you'll get are rumors.

New AD 2012 setup, integrating with existing 2008 setup

I would like to setup AD for a client.
I currently have a Windows 2008 file server with a single local user that everyone uses to connect, wide open permissions, no groups, very basic and simple setup.
I have created two new test 2012 R2 servers for AD, I can join my workstation to the Domain, login with an AD user and mount the shared drive from the fileserver, create files etc, everything works.
When I created the domain I selected 2012 functional level.
Would it be best to keep everything at the 2012 level and upgrade the fileserver to 2012 and then join the domain?
Or redo the AD setup and make it compatible with 2008 and 2012 servers, then I can just join the server to the domain.
I am hesitant to touch the fileserver, not sure how well upgrading from 2008 to 2012 works?
The main reason for setting up AD is for group policy, permissions on the server, setting up groups etc.

The functional level only apply to DCs (e.g. you can only have Windows Server 2012 DCs or later) - So you can go ahead and join the file server to the domain just as you did with the workstation.

Reading the description on the App Store page, I would assume no, but I thought I'd ask the question anyways. It is such a hyped key feature of the Mac application, it would have assumed it would make it into the iOS application as well.
