New gestures now available on iPad 1 with 5.0.1
Or so the message says when you begin downloading the upgrade. Mine is still updating, so I can't verify this, but if if it works, past user complaints should be put to rest.
This is Apple doing right by its developers and customers, who already knew the gestures worked on the first generation hardware. People sent feedback, and Apple listened. I'm also still downloading, but if these work I plan on sending another feedback to Apple: "thank you!"

They tell us since two years, they will wide out the LTE net and as far as I understand, iPad 3 does not support german LTE ever? Why did they sell it as Ipad 3 wifi & 4G? I can't use it?
I made a new contract and the LTE net is build out good in my area. Is there a way to use it now?The 3rd-generation iPad was released with only Noth American LTE support. Early on, the iPad 3 was called WiFi + 4G but soon after, Apple clarified cellular connectivity outside of North America by rebranding the iPad WiFi + Cellular rather than WiFi + 4G to indicate that although the iPad was capable of 4G, it may not be available. Read the Wikipedia article on this.
So in short, you iPad does not and will never be able to connect to LTE in Germany. The mobile operators use different frequencies than are supported by your device. -
Is the new IOS 8.1.3 (ipad) incompatible with Airplay?
In our school we use ipads and apple tv, so the students can present their work on the active board. However, after upgrading the software to iOS 8.1.3 on some of the ipads, they are no longer able to connect via airplay, while it still works in those ipads, that are not upgraded.
Is this a bug in the new edition of iOS?When my apple tv 3 with newest firmware 7.0.3 is in standby and on my iphone 6 with iOS 8.1.3 I choose the apple tv to play it won't play. It takes 5 seconds and the apple tv entry disappears. The music is played on the iphone. I have to try about 5 times. after that the music is played over apple tv. This is not the case, if the apple tv never is in stand by (standby off). This was not the case with iOS 7.
I hope they will fix this soon. Until then, I leave my apple tv turned on. -
What gestures are available on Magic Trackpad with bootcamp
I bought the new Magic Trackpad, installed the Bootcamp drivers and found that only limited actions are possible, in fact the actions available are the same those on the trackpad pad on my laptop. Are the additional functions only available when in OSX?

IPhone synced w/win-new mac now-can i sync info with mac
OK, so I've had my iPhone always sync with my windows computer and now i bought a macbook pro but I'm unsure if i try to sync up all my information will my iphone be erased or will it transfer it to my mac?
Before you sync with the new MacBook for the first time: Make sure you put at least one contact into Address Book, and one calendar entry into iCal. Uncheck the checkboxes for syncing music, videos, etc (because you can only sync music to one computer). Then when you sync, make sure you choose the "merge" option. All of the contacts and calendar entries in your phone will populate to Address Book and iCal, respectively.

CHeck out iTunes Match which has an annual fee of £21 or thereabouts. You can store a maximum of 25,000 songs there and they all become available on your other kit, iPhone, iPad and iPod. I know it works as I have over 23000 songs uploaded of which only a few we're bought through iTunes.
it works by comparing your music to the whole iTunes music dadata base so you access the same tunes that you could get from iTunes. If you have obscure stuff, it uploads your own music to the cloud as a copy.
I Find it incredible that on my iPhone with its 16gb memory I can view almost 200 gb of music (ie my 23000 songs) and play any of them. Anything I add to iTunes becomes available via the cloud fairly quickly from a few minutes or a little longer if adding a lot.
The first time you use it it will take quite a while to match your music if you have a lot, but after that it is all automatic. Read the stuff on the apple site. Your PC needs to be at least running Vista. I recommend it and at less than 50p a week it's good value.

When I open Muse it comes up with a 'new version is available' and when I click on 'install now' it takes me to the adobe muse website where I click on the 'Download' button. It will then come up with 'Muse is downloading now'. It will then take me back to the Muse app again with the same 'install now' message. The new version has not installed, could some one please let me know the reason why it isn't installing.

I tried the adobe removal tool
removing all copies of adobe software manually
installing from a new account, safe mode, plist everything suggested that i found did not work.
A colleague suggested that removing the below folder would allow the installation:
/Library/Application Supports/Adobe
They turned out to be correct, so i am passing this on, because this took far too many hours of my time.

I started with one itunes account for my iphone and ipad, and now have a second ipad linked to the same itunes. Can I set up a new itunes account for one ipad without losing what has already been downloaded on it? I want to stop my husbands downloads appearing on my ipad, and vice versa.
A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

What do you mean " back up my photos or Apps"?
The photo sync is one way - computer to ipad.
You can transfer itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -

Simple solution is buy the WiFi+AT&T cellular version, though iPads are not locked like iPhones it is best to get the matching one right out of the box. then just decide how much storage capacity you want with it.

I have an iPad 1 to which I synced my photo libraries from my laptop. Unfortunately that laptop got stolen. I now have an iPad 2 as well with a new laptop. How do I get my photo libraries from my iPad 1 to my iPad 2 and to my new laptop...?
I assume that you haven't got a backup copy of them (?). You can copy photos that were originally synced from a computer off the iPad via third-party apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network - you can then sync them to your other iPad. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
