  • Data Source for NEW GL extraction

    Hi Experts,
    I have to load the data from ZTable, Flex, BKPF tables. Most the fields which I want to extract those are available in 0FI_GL_4 but I have heard this is not useful with New Ledger set up.
    Please suggest me how could I extract the data from these tables.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    its the not the fileds that play an important part in the extraction, rather the concerned table the datasource is extracting from. Try to extract data thru the gl4 datasource is if the numbers reconcile with the expected result. If not you might need to consider FAGLFLEXA(line items) or FAGLFLEXT(totals).
    0FI_GL_4 is not a suitable datasource for the new ledger. Infact the new ledger doesnt have a delievered datsource for line items. It does have a datasource for totals, see if that might of use to you.
    If that doesnt suit you would need to develop a generic extractor to extract from the ur tables or FAGLFLEXA.

  • New Initial Extraction for MDM

    I am running a new initial load in my ECC system for MDM (MDM_CLNT_EXTR).  It is running a bit longer than I expected and I was wondering if I needed to (or should have) removed the initial load records from table MDM_SELECT_TRANS using MDM_SERV_SELTRANS_MAINTAIN before starting the second initial load.  Anyone have experience with this?
    Thanks

    Hi Keith,
    MDM_SELECT_TRANS just stores some information about your extraction run. It should not impact the overall runtime. The runtime in generall is affected by other components like:
    - current system load
    - amount of available background processes
    - amount of data to be extracted
    - extraction variant configuration, especially the IDoc block size
    - the way how IDocs are sent (e.g. collected into packages or immediately)
    Usually MDM_CLNT_EXTR runs as background job using as many background and work processes available. If the amount of users currently working in the system is high, the amount of free processes is pretty low. So the overall extraction takes more time.

  • Enhancement to 0FI_GL_4 for new GL extraction

    Hi,
    We have a scenario wherein we need to extract GL line item data from ECC. We have multiple ECC instance having a mix of ECC 5.0 & ECC 6.0. Also new GL is implemented in all the ECC instances. Weplan to use 0FI_GL_14 the new GL line item datasource but there is a technical pre-requisite of ECC 6.0 EHP3. Since one of the ECC instance is at 5.0 we are not able to use the same.

    The DataSource 0FI_GL_4 extracts the line item data of general ledger accounts from the BKPF and BSEG tables
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/4f8e8bbf3f4f63a5dd197ef7d53fa2/frameset.htm
    The DataSource 0FI_GL_14 extracts all data from the tables FAGLFLEXA (or similar customer tables), BKPF, BSEG, and BSEG_ADD.
    Also some similar discussion threads on sdn specify for new GL 0FI_GL_14 is to be used.
    Re: Can 0FI_GL_4 be used with New G/L? Is there a replacement DataSource?
    Thus the only solution left is to enhance 0FI_GL_4 to get ledger specific data from those additional tables as well. Has anyone encountered this scenario before? If anyone would have details of the enhancement which is required it will be helpful.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Tanmay

    Hi,
    Can you please explain this sentence a bit in detail ?
    'Using this data soure you should extract all the movements from the begining to get YTD values for balance sheet accounts"
    I read somewhere that when new GL concept is implemented in ECC then most optimal Datasource to read FAGLFLEXT table is 0FI_GL_10.
    so despite having new GL concept can we still use 0FI_GL_4?
    pros and cons of using 0FI_GL_4 for Consolidations ?
    Appreciate your inputs.
    Regards.

  • After Extracting

    Hi all,
    I am so stuck and it will no doubt be something very simple, however my problem is: After extracting an image from it's original background, the background surrounding the image is now transparent I want to then move my extraction onto another page so I've already got that photo I want up and drag my extraction onto the page. Now this is the problem the extraction when dragged to the new photo is not with a transparent background it comes with the same as though it has never been extracted. I have tried saving the extraction first, closing it down and then re opening the new saved extraction then dragging that onto the photo still it shows up with a un-transparent background. I used to use photoshop elements 5 and I never had any such issues. Now I have purchased photoshop elements 6 and am stuck with this problem. I don't know what the heck is going on and why it won't let me place an extracted object into the new photo is it something to do with the new photo as in do I need to click on something to allow it to take extracted pictures? It's driving me insane so please if someone is around please help me sort this out, thanks in advance.
    Wiggywoggy

    OOppss sorry Yes I have the problem solved :) it was a matter of placing two photos side by side in the work edit space and that solved the problem doing it the other way like one used to be able to do in PSE 5 is not the same as in 6, thanks for all your suggestions :)

  • NameNotFoundException when looking up DataSource in new Thread

    I am trying to run a db procedure in a new Thread within a J2EE app. The actual code to run the procedure is in a class that is called from a JSP page, a controller if you will (not a servlet). When I start the new Thread and try to get a connection from my DataSource, I get a NameNotFoundException. We are using iPlanet and Oracle. Is it a bad idea to start a new Thread from within iPlanet? Is there another way to run the db procedure and not make the user wait for it to finish?
    Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Okay, here is my Runnable class.
    <code>
    public class ExtractRunner implements Runnable, Serializable
    Extract m_extract;
    String m_propfile;
    String m_modName;
    LogManager m_log;
    public void run()
    DBConnectionManager conMan = null;
    try
    conMan = new DBConnectionManager(m_log.getElectronicServicesLog(),
    m_propfile, m_modName, "");
    int result = m_extract.doExtract(conMan, m_log);
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    finally
    m_extract = null;
    if (conMan != null)
    conMan.release();
    conMan = null;
    m_log = null;
    ExtractRunner(Extract extract, String propfile, String modName, LogManager log)
    m_extract = extract;
    m_propfile = propfile;
    m_modName = modName;
    m_log = log;
    </code>
    Here is the code that starts the thread. It is in another class that is called from the JSP.
    <code>
    public int doExtract(Extract extract)
    ExtractRunner er = new ExtractRunner(extract, PROP_FILE, MOD_CODE, m_log);
    Thread t = new Thread(er);
    t.setName("ExtractRunner");
    t.start();
    return 0;
    </code>
    And here is the code that calls the db procedure. It is in the Extract class.
    <code>
    public int doExtract(DBConnectionManager dbConnMgr, LogManager log)
    DBProcedureStatement dbStmnt = null;
    DBQuery dbQuery = null;
    Vector rs = null;
    int sqlResultCode = 0;

    try
    dbQuery = new DBQuery(dbConnMgr);
    long start = System.currentTimeMillis();
    log.logDebug("ExtractRunner::run()", "debug",
    "Starting extract at " + start);
    rs = dbQuery.doProcedure(dbStmnt);
    long elapsed = System.currentTimeMillis() - start;
    log.logDebug("Extract::doExtract()", "debug",
    "Done with extract." +
    " Elapsed time(ms): " + elapsed);
    if (rs != null && !rs.isEmpty())
    sqlResultCode = ((BigDecimal)rs.elementAt(0)).intValue();
    log.logDebug("Extract::doExtract()", "debug",
    "Result = " + sqlResultCode);
    //System.out.println("REsult code: " + sqlResultCode);
    else
    sqlResultCode = GEN_ERROR; //Procedure error
    sqlResultCode = 0; // The extract is no longer returning a result code
    // so if there's no Exception return SUCCESS
    catch (Exception e)
    log.logError("Extract::doExtract", "FDE_LOGGING",
    "Error doing extract. Exception: " + e);
    e.printStackTrace();
    sqlResultCode = GEN_ERROR;
    finally
    DBUtil.releaseResults(rs);
    //sql = null;
    rs = null;
    dbStmnt.finalize();
    dbStmnt = null;
    dbQuery = null;

  • Documents for BW Extraction

    Hi Experts,
    Does anyone have a "How To" document on how to go about creating/setting up extraction (im relatively new at extraction)? From creating datasource, extract structure, replicating to BW, attaching FM if needed? any tips on the sequence as to what needs to be done first then next? You can email the docs below, I'd very much appreciate any help/docs you can send my way, points to be awarded for the help.

  • Booking data in extraction CO-PA

    Hello everyone,
    I'm new in extraction CO-PA. It seems very special.
    I've created extractor with KEB0, and test it with RSA3.
    I created a sales order for testing, it appeas in the table CE1***. but with RSA3, it doesn't find my sales order.
    Does standard extractor CO-PA take only the sales orders which has be billed? or is there any reason else?
    Thanks for all help!!
    Juan

    Hi
    I've found my sales order now in rsa3. In fact, it's the selection by sales order doesn't work. Strange!!!
    In addition, I have questions:
    What's the field named Currency Type? I've seen two record are created for every item of a sales order. The difference between the two record is only the Curreny Type.
    And once an incoming sales order is delivered and billed, is the Record Type changed from "A" to "F" or a new record marked "F" will be created?
    Venkata: I don't understand what you mean exactly.
    I've added points for all your kind answers.
    Best regards

  • My PC doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s

    Hello.
    Today I was updating from iOS 6 to iOS 7. Ok, I downloaded the new OS, extracted it and then a backup was made. After the backup, on iTunes, a message appears: Waiting for iPhone.... I waited something about 5 minutes, and when I look to my iPhone, I see this screen:
    Then, iTunes showed me an "Unknown Error" and by there, my PC doesn't recognize my iPhone anymore.
    And about my iPhone? Well... the above screen is still there.
    Someone has any idea to help me?

    I 'had' a problem with my computer not recognizing my iphone 4s when I plugged in the USB cord. Tried to find a solution on the internet but no luck as usual. It worked before, but not this time. Tried everything. Finally I tried the original cord that came with the phone. It WORKED! Must have to use an Apple cord with an Apple phone. I was using a generic cord to charge my iphone while on the laptop and it would charge fine. It probably just don't have a wire in it for 'data transfer'.

  • Step-by-Step to wrap a vbs into an .exe

    Here is a way to use Iexpress 2.0 to wrap your VBS scripts into an .exe. Iexpress 2.0 is native to Win XP and Win 7 and is quite useful when you have a VBS that is dependent on other files, like and install program or even an HTA. Once you have created the .EXE package a .SED file is also create in the same directory, which is the instructions for the Iexpress.exe. You can edit the .SED file in notepad and then run the iexpress wizard and select Open Existing Self Extraction Directive file and create your new package. This is helpful when you want to add new files, change the command line, or the output directory, you do not need to go through the whole package process again. Below are the instructions on how to create a new .EXE using Iexpress 2.0.
    1.     On a computer running Windows XP or Windows 7, click Start, click Run, enter iexpress, and click OK. This starts the IExpress Wizard.
    2.     On the Welcome to IExpress 2.0 page, select Create new Self Extraction Directive file and click Next.
    3.     On the Package purpose page, select Extract files and run an installation command and click Next.
    4.     On the Package title page, type a title for your package and click Next.
    5.     On the Confirmation prompt page, select No prompt and click Next.
    6.     On the License agreement page, select Do not display a license and click Next.
    7.     On the Packaged files page, click Add and select the vbs script from the directory in which it resides:
    8.     When you finish adding files, click Next.
    9.     On the Install Program to Launch page, in the Install Program box, type c:\windows\system32\cscript.exe “yourVBS.VBS”  OR  c:\windows\system32\wscript.exe “yourVBS.VBS” Leave the Post Install Command box BLANK.
    10.  On the Show window page, select Hidden and click Next.
    11.  On the Finished message page, select No message and click Next.
    12.  On the Package Name and Options page, enter the path and filename that you want for this distribution package. Check both boxes and click Yes to the warning under Options and click Next.
    13.  On the Configure restart page, select No restart and click Next.
    14.  On the Save Self Extraction Directive page, select Save Self Extraction Directive (SED) file:, edit the path and name of the file, and click Next.
    15.  On the Create package page, click Next. When the package has been created, click Finish to exit.
    16.  The package will now be created with the name you specified and have an extension of .EXE ex. “yourVBS.EXE”
    Thanks, LikeToCode...Please click "Mark as Answer" when you get the correct reply to your question.

    Self Extraction Directive (SED) file Explained
    Here is a copy of a Self Extraction Directive (SED) file. Keep in mind you can IExpress 2.0 to create an .EXE for many items like batch files, Inf files, VBS files and other .exe files. For
    this purpose we are talking about VBScripts. You can edit this file and "recompile" your .exe. Why would you want recompile your .exe? To name a few you might find unwanted behavior in your VBS or you may need to add additional files and you don't want to
    have to go through the entire IExpress setup again, so you would change data in this file and in two clicks your app is recompiled.
    First, let’s talk about some important sections in this SED file. There are five sections Version, Options, Strings, SourceFiles, and SourceFiles0. When editing your SED files you will
    be mostly working in the Strings, SourceFiles, and SourceFiles0 sections, most of the Options section was done when you created the package for the first time.
    Here is the strings section with comments:
