New GL implications on CO-PA

Hi,
I would like to know whether New GL activation will have any impact on CO-PA ?? what would be the implications of New GL  ?
Regards,
Varsha

Hi,
not really an impact from NewGL <=> CO-PA.
There are some SAPNET notes when NewGL and CO-PA is active (895923 and 1730471 and 1154791) check them to see if you have the situation described.

  • Difference between Blanket sales agreement and pricing agreement

    Hi guys
I wasted hours the other day trying to get a blanket sales agreement number in the 'agreement' field on order management. Just to learn that there's two types of agreements in OM and it seems like there's some sort of overlap.
Can someone please give me a few functional tips of key indicators of when to use which.
Similarities between Blanket & Pricing agreements:
    - Both can fix payment terms
    - Both can have new pricing implications (set a new price other than existing pricelists)
Differences between blanket & pricing agreements:
I tried to read the manual for OM and Pricing but the pricing agreement was a bit short of a nice introduction explaining what it was. I was hoping it would read something like this: You go to your customer, you agree the following and therefore you need a pricing agreement.
    Thanks!

    Ah,
It struck me that hte most obvious difference is that sales agreements track the amount/qty of releases against that agreement. So the whole release process is some functionality that sales agreements can do that price agreements can not do.
So I'm wondering what can you achieve with a pricing agreement that you cannot achieve with a sales agreement?

You should be able to accept this message, it will cause existing music, photos (not camera roll) and videos (also excluding those in camera roll) to be removed and replaced with those from this computer. All other user data on the iPad will be unaffected.

  • Implications of adding new key fields to existing table

    Hi All,
I have searched forum regarding this. But didn't find exact answer.
We are planning to add new key fields to existing Ztable. I want to know the implications of this.
I have checked the where used list of table and found no impact. Only one point is making me to think again and again.
If we add key fields to existing table then we have to adjust the table from SE14 to activate it. But this adjustment doesn't ask for TR.
So if i release my TR, entries in other systems will also be adjusted accordingly??? Business is OK with the new fields values to be blank for existing entries.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

Yes the data in transported  systems will also be adjusted. If this table contains too much data make transport at late hours because it will take long and table can't be used while it's adjusted. In this adjustment process data is copied to a temporary table and moved back to original table using move-corresponding command after key added. There will data loss if you remove a key or key fields field length but in your case it shouldn't be a problem.

  • Implications of new 'source' in pacman.conf

I apologize in advance for what seems to be a very basic and FAQ-ish question.
I've always wanted to know, what are the implications of adding new sources
to my pacman.conf (or in the case of Ubuntu/Debian, the /etc/apt/sources.list file?)
Let's say that you put some joker's site in your pacman.conf file, and they put
a malicious FOO version 2 software in their repository.
When I run pacman -Syu, does pacman say "Well, software FOO is at version 1 in
the official Arch repos, but it's at version 2 in Joker's repository, what do you want to do?"
Sorry for the basic question, but often think that if I was trying to proliferate some keylogger or
other malware, what I would do is write some good software FOO, or act as a mirror for some good software FOO,
and then provide updates for software BAR, and have BAR be a new version of some core-software
that takes data from your keyboard and forwards it to my e-mail account.
Is my question/concern valid, or am I totally off track?  I recently thought about this when adding
a repository to my pacman.conf file so that I could get updates for the yaourt application.  I'm not
accusing the author of yaourt of anything at all, and think the product is great.  But I just want to know if
the author of yaourt issues an update to "readline", if Arch will accept this update as a valid update the next time
    I run pacman -Syu?
Thanks very much, and links/RTFMs are appreciated.
    --Nate

In pacman.conf(8) (man pacman.conf), under "REPOSITORY SECTIONS":
    The order of repositories in the configuration files matters;
repositories listed first will take precedence over those listed later
in the file when packages in two repositories have identical names,
    regardless of version number.
I tested this with a local repo and it appears to work as documented; pacman didn't prompt me to upgrade 'bash' to the newer version I had put in my test repo which was below [core] in pacman.conf.

  • Implications of opening new window.

    Hi All -
I would like my custom OAF application to provide a hyperlink to "open another JTF or OAF application" in a new browser window. Is there any implications of doing this i.e. any security issues or anything else?
Please reply to my oracle email address at [email protected]
    Thanks

    Amit,
Any particular reason to maintain 2 pages simultaneously. It definitely is going to cause many issues.
Search in old threads, we had a similar discussion just last week and waiting on the TAR :)

  • Need clarification on Legal implication for creating a new plant in SAP

    Dear all,
My customer is  having two manufacturing plant in India.
One is DTA for domestic business and the other is EOU, 100 % Export oriented. In both plant they are manufacturing fridges.
SAP implementation gone live on last july.
Now they are starting Washing machine manufacturing inside the DTA plant for domestic business.  But they want to go for a new plant to be created in SAP,  they are not going to register that plant with government.
They want that plant only for reporting purpose. I want to know will it create any leagel implecation while posting excise invoice or with Register maintanence.'
       Need your advice.
    With Regards
    R.S.Mani

I think you were asking from SAP point of view but I would prefer to answer the practice what should be followed from manufacturer's angle.
If you treat any place as a separate plant, the first and foremost criteria which you should look into is excise part.
From excise point of view, you need to get concurrence from the authorities to do business with the same excise group assuming that the address is same of the existing plant.
If address is different, then you should treat it as a separate excise group and accordingly, you need to have a separate excise group and series group and therefore, excise registers and sales tax registers will be a separate one.
Though your question should be answered in a lengthy way, better ask the client with their range office who will be the deciding authorities.
    thanks

  • Implications in Time Machine of moving files to new disk

I am wondering about how TM handles movement of files.
If I have say 10GB of photos on my boot drive, and move (not copy) them to a new external, does TM merely catalog the change, as it would do if the path simply changed as I moved them from place to place on the boot drive? or does it actually copy the photos?

So, since they are now backed up in their new location (and I've verfied this), it seems I could safely enter TM, find the 10GB folder of photos in its OLD location, and delete all backups, thus gaining space and insuring that I still have backups.
Note that these are photos, almost all RAWs. So I do NOT need any versions of these files, and in fact none exist. All my photo changes are preserved in Lightroom (the XMPs did change, but those changes are more easily managed in LR). But it does bring to mind the question of what to do if I did need versions. I move a lot of stuff off a smaller SSD to bigger externals, and I suppose I could just let TM delete the old versions in its normal housekeeping. But I'm curious as to whether I could move files to an external and have TM move the versions over as well. Even if I did no deletion, to find the versions I'd have to remember to go back to the old location and dive back in time in that folder. Seems rather cumbersome.
    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Error ora-15081 (and several others) while creating a new db in Solaris

    Hi all,
    OS: Solaris 11
    DB: 11.2.0.3.5 (2 node rac)
While creating a new db on a Solaris 11 env, via dbca, the following stack error appeared to me:
    ORA-19624: operation failed, retry possible
ORA-19870: error while restoring backup piece path[...]
ORA-19504: failed to create file "+MYDG"
ORA-00372: file cannot be modified at this time

ORA-06512: at SYS.X$DBMS_BACKUP_RESTORE, line5827The dbca (ran as oracle user) aborts at 15%.
There are a lot of errors in this stack, and i'm not pretty sure which error is the main cause of this issue, but I think it's the "ORA-15081: failed to submit an I/O operation to a disk" that is the bad guy here. I did some researches and found that some possible sollutions:
    1) One said that this error might be caused by bad permissions on the raw devices used in the "MYDG" diskgroup (i'm using 6 devices with external redundancy), but my devices are all with the grid:asmadmin and 660 permissions
    2) Another said that this might be a problem with the owner:group of the oracle binaries. In ny installation the oracle binaries ($ORACLE_HOME/bin) are with the oracle:oinstall. I thougth of addind the asmadmin group to the oracle user, but i'm not sure what are the implications of this change. What do you thing?
What am I doing wrong and how can i solve it?
Thanks in advance for your pacience and attention.

  • Adding new fields to existing cube

    Hi all,
We have a cube with data, now we added 2 new fields to the datasource. And want to add two more fields in the Cube to correspond to the new fields. What would be the impact on the data that is already there in the cube? Can I go ahead and add the fields in the cube and start extracting data? What I want to know is what would be the implications in such a scenario?
Any insight or help would be appreciated and fully rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Mav

    Hi,
At least from the experience I had there were no performance issues. The only issue would be in terms of the time taken to transport. The larger the amount of data ,longer the transport time.
You can continue extraction of data for those 2 fields from that point on. No need to empty the data from the cube and reload again. Only thing is that the data in the past for these 2 fields may not be mapped to the existing data in the cube. If you want to do that dump the cube and reload. Otherwise the data will be mapped from the time you start extracting the new fields with the data in the cube.
    Cheers,
    Kedar

  • New features in Adobe Muse 2.0

The following is a list of features now available in Adobe Muse:
    Align Palette
We've added a new Align Palette, available from the Window menu, or by clicking on the new 'Align' control in the control strip.
You can use the new Align features to align or distribute selected objects relative to each other, or to the page content area (which is the area from the bottom of the header to the top of the footer).
    Asset Upload
You can now link to any external file (i.e. PDF, .zip file, .dmg or .exe) and add a hyperlink to it to enable users to download the file from your web site.
All linked assets will be uploaded / exported along with the rest of the Adobe Muse site, in a new 'assets' folder.
    Code Generation Improvements
We've improved the HTML code generation for Adobe Muse 2.0 in several areas. Shadows, Glows, and Gradients now use CSS instead of generating additional images.
We've eliminated many cases where we generated duplicated HTML nodes. We've also changed our JavaScript framework for our widgets from Spry to a smaller, faster framework called WebPro.
These changes make the export process faster, and Adobe Muse now generates less images and smaller HTML files.
Shadows and outer glows are represented using CSS box-shadows instead of rasterizing.
Fixed the naming of images exported by Adobe Muse which have been either resampled or cropped before exporting.
Background images that have been set to "Scale to Fit" or "Scale to Fill" are now exported with the 'contain' or 'cover' background-size CSS property, respectively.
Browsers display a warning when you serve a page that mixes HTTP and HTTPS content, which can be triggered if loading content from a content delivery network (CDN) such as Amazon's CloudFront. To avoid these warnings, Adobe Muse uses some JavaScript to not use CDN URLs with HTTPS in favor of falling back to a local version of the content.
    Forms
We've added a new Form widget to the widget library.
You can easily configure the form to send the form submissions to multiple email addresses, and optionally redirect users to another page after submitting the form.
You can add and remove fields, and style the form as you would other Adobe Muse elements. You can independently style the various states of the form, and form fields to provide a compelling user experience, with visual cues for error states, empty states, and more.
Because Form processing requires server-side support, Adobe Muse forms are configured to work when published to Adobe Business Catalyst. If you make changes to your form and publish again, Adobe Muse will make the appropriate changes to your Adobe Business Catalyst forms.
Adobe Muse will safeguard data when redesigning your Adobe Business Catalyst forms
If a field with no data submitted is removed, it will be deleted from the database.
If a field that has submitted data is removed, it will be preserved in the database, but can be deleted from the Adobe Business Catalyst admin console if desired.
    Font Improvements
The font UI includes font previews in the form of sample text rendered in the corresponding font/weight/style.
Submenus for the various font types (web, web-safe and system) have been eliminated in favor of a single sectioned list, with shortcuts to scroll to each section.
Web fonts and system fonts are grouped by font family; individual weights and styles (e.g. Bold, Italic, Bold Italic etc.) of multi-face font families appear in sub-menus.
The font UI displays an automatically generated list of recently used fonts. The number of recently used fonts to display can be configured and list can be cleared.
The font list can be filtered by font family (e.g. “Myriad Pro”), weight or style (e.g. “Bold Italic”), a combination of these (e.g., “Myriad Pro Bold Italic”), including partial names in any order (e.g., “It Bold Myr Pro”).
Adobe Muse now uses platform-independent references to fonts, so Adobe Muse documents can be exchanged between Mac and Windows without failure to resolve font references.
Adobe Muse displays localized font names (if available) based on the application locale, rather than system locale. Adobe Muse documents can be exchanged between across application locales without failure to resolve font references.
    FTP Upload
Adobe Muse now includes the ability to FTP to the host of your choice by selecting File > Upload to FTP Host in the Adobe Muse menu.
Adobe Muse's FTP upload dialog allows you to specify the host, subdirectory, and login information.
    Adobe Edge Integration
If you publish an .oam file from Adobe Edge, you can place it into Adobe Muse. All required images, CSS and JavaScript content will be uploaded at Publish or Export time.
As with other placed content any changes made in the source Adobe Edge file and re-saved in .oam format will be detected within Adobe Muse, and you can use the Assets Palette to update the content in Adobe Muse.
    Language Support
Japanese and Italian localizations have been added.
Specific Japanese features include the addition of Japanese web safe fonts on the font menu as well as support for Japanese IME, including text input and double-byte text.
    Ruler Guides
Adobe Muse now includes the ability to drag guides onto a page from the Horizontal or Vertical ruler.
Page items snap to guides when moving, but guides are not exported.
Adobe Muse supports selecting multiple guides on a page.
    Sitemap.xml
Adobe Muse now creates a sitemap.xml file for better search engine optimization when the site is hosted somewhere other than Adobe Business Catalyst. You can exclude a page from the sitemap.xml file (if you don't want search engines to find it) by setting an option in the Page Properties dialog.
    Browser Fill Improvements
You can now set a gradient on the Browser Fill. (Note: Opacity, Focal point and Size are not available due to cross-browser compatibility and usability standards)
In addition, you can now set your browser background image to fit or to fill.
    Control Strip Improvements
The Adobe Muse control strip now has collapsible control sets (similar to Illustrator). As you expand the width of the Adobe Muse application window more controls appear.
Additional controls have been added to the Control strip – States, Transform, and Align. Text controls are now available when text frames are selected, not just when you're using the text tool.
    Drag and drop styles/swatches/colors
You can now drag and drop a Paragraph style or Character style onto a text frame to apply the style to the text.
You can also drag a Graphic style into a page item, or the page to apply it.
You can drag a Swatch onto a page item, page, or browser area of a page to apply background fill.
You can drag a Color (via dragging the color preview area just above the RGB edit boxes) onto a page item, page, or browser area of a page to apply background fill. You can also drag a color to the Swatches palette to create a swatch of it.
    Hyperlinks
The Hyperlink control can now be resized so that users can see entire URL. We've changed the label of the hyperlink option “Title” to “Tooltip” to help clarify where user enters the hyperlink destination information.
    New Selection Visuals
Hint labels now show when you hover over elements on the page. There is a new preference to turn this display off.
Groups and widgets are now indicated with dotted line containment rectangles.
When a page item cannot be resized in a specific direction we now show an “X” instead of a missing handle.
    Widget Improvements
Slideshow and Composition widgets now include a numeric stepper for controlling the Auto Play speed in seconds rather than Off, Slow, Medium, Fast.
We've added Shuffle as an option to the Slideshow and Composition widgets so the slideshow or composition contents play in random order.
Changing a Menu widget from horizontal to vertical, or vice versa, now does a much better job of preserving size and spacing.
Changing the state of one part of a widget at design time now changes appropriate sibling parts to the same state to more closely mimic browser behavior.
Based upon customer feedback, we renamed the following:
"Fit Width" and "Fit Height" to "Uniform Spacing"
"Uniform Width" and "Uniform Height" to "Uniform Size"
    Other assorted improvements
Shift + Return/Enter will create a soft return instead of a carriage return.
Control/Ctrl + Tab activates next tab.
Control/Ctrl + Shift + Tab activates previous tab.
Option/Alt + click a page tab will close all open page tabs.
Option/Alt + click a site tab will close all open sites.
Holding the Shift key down while resizing an image allows you to perform a non-proportional resize.
The X, Y, W, H, and Angle edit boxes support duplicating and transforming the selection if you hold down the Option/Alt key when you hit Return/Enter or Tab.
If you enter a value in an edit box you can do a Shift + Enter to apply the value AND keep focus in the edit box.
Select Same feature added which selects other objects on the page that are the same type as the object currently selected and can be used through Alt Control Shift A and the Context and Edit menus.
Added feedback to rotation tracker so you see the angle next to the cursor as you rotate.
Changed rotation display values to be between -180 and 180 to match other Adobe apps. Previously it was 0 to 360.
Publish dialog has a new FAQ link to help users understand the implications of publishing.
Upload to FTP and Export to HTML workflows now have a ‘Domain Name’ input field. This is used for generation of Sitemap.xml and for enabling Typekit web fonts.
The display of 100% width items on iOS devices is now enabled.
Adobe Muse now produces functional submenus on iOS devices.

Not all of the listed email recipients on my contact form are receiving the inquiries.    Muse allows me to add several email addresses separated by a semi-colon (see below from Corey Wrote) but only one of the three addresses are receiving the contact form inquiries.

  • How do I move all my iphone information to a new computer/itunes without having access to me old computer/itunes including music which was not downloaded from itunes?

My itunes is 100miles away from me and I want to move all the information on my iphone to my new itunes on a new computer including music which has not been downloaded from itunes and all my apps. Please help as I am still on version 3.1.3.

You should be able to extract the media from the device with the tips in  this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup. That should switch the assocation of the device to the new machine but I've not had cause to personally test the method.

  • What are the implications of changing your Apple id when you own multiple devices?

    Hi There,
I would like to change my regular email service provider and instead use only my new gmail address. My apple id is the same as my regular soon to be replaced email address. I understand that in the past you could not change your apple id but you could change the email address associated with the apple id. However now it seems that you can change your apple id and by this I dont mean getting a new one, I simply mean editing the old one and infact Apple encourages people to make sure that their Apple id and email address are the same. So, my questions is considering the fact that I own multiple Apple devices (iPhone, iMac and iPad), what will the implications be of doing this and what do I need to consider before I change my Apple id to my new Gmail address? I know for example that apps are apparently permanently associated with a single Apple id so I guess I will have to redownload and pay for them. But what do I need to do on my iPhone, iMac and iPad to make sure that iMessage, iCloud etc is unaffected and continue to work properly. I guess for a start I need to tell everyone who communicates with me via iMessage that they have to use a new Apple id for example. I am worried that a change like this will cause mayhem among my devices and I'll regret it. Right now I have kept my old Apple id and simply added an alternate email address to my account that being my new Gmail address. Maybe its simpler to keep it this way. Thanks in advance for the words of wisdom. Cheers.

  • Creating a new apple id for my wife

I currently have one Apple ID and run iTunes on a Windows 7 PC. This is synced to 2 iPhones, 2 iPads and 2 iPods as well as 2 Apple TV's. All the Apps purchased, updated and shared between all the devices are controlled using iTunes depending on whose iphone etc is connected.
This has worked quite successfully till now but if we use imessage on the phones it gets very confusing and for that reason I would like to set up a new Apple ID for my wifes iPhone and iPad. What I don't understand is the implications of this with regard to all the previously purchased Apps. Will she loose access to these when I sign in on iTunes to her new Apple ID. Are there any other issues I should be aware off before going down this route. Will all my music and films still be available for her to load on her iPhone and iPad ? Any advice and help much appreciated.

    Hello Primer Driver,
Thanks for the question, and what a great question it is.
You are absolutely right, there are some tweaks we will want to make to continue the configuration you have right now. My recommendation? Create a new Apple ID for your Wife, but only use this Apple ID for iMessage/FaceTime.
There are four different accounts you can be signed into on an iOS device: iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and iTunes and App Stores. Theoretically, you could be signed into four separate accounts for each of these. For your situation, your Wife would only sign into iMessage and FaceTime with her account, and continue to use the family account for iTunes and App Stores.

  • HT1364 Can I use this procedure to consolidate my iTunes media folder along with my wife's, both in a new, common location?

Previously we have both kept our music folders independent. I now want to use the procedure described in HT1364 to move both of our music folders into a single, common location. The idea is to use the same media folder but still keep each of our iTunes users separate so that each can maintain its own playlists, etc.
We share the same home PC but each of us has its own user and as such, each of us have a separate iTunes.  This way we can each keep sync'ing music to each of our separate iDevices but share the same source music folders.
FWIW, we both use the same appleID for purchases, but each of us have individual AppleIDs for iCloud syncing. We mostly have differents songs, but I estimate that we have about 10% duplicate songs/albums, both form iTunes purchases and uploads from CD's.
The procedure above describes how to change the location of your music files. Using this procedure I will move my media files to the new, common location. I wil then switch to my wife's iTunes user and will repeat the process.  While doing my wifes procedure I'm wondering what will happen when it detects the duplicates... will it just ignore them? ask me if I want to replace the song file, or just crash and mess up either or both of our libraries?
I assume that this is the proper way to set up a family Apple ecosystem.  This way when a new member of the family begins collecting music he/she can join the "family music library" and sync only the songs she wants and so on.
I will welcome your comments and implications of doing procedure above. And also, your comments on the proper way to configure a family ecosystem, if this is not the proper way to do it.
Merry Christmas to all of you.
