New global administrator account, same migration batch

I am currently performing a cutover migration from Exchange 2010 to Office 365 using an Outlook Anywhere migration endpoint. I have created the migration batch using a global admin account in my cloud tenant, let's say the name is "Cloud Global Admin
A" and primary address is "globalA@..." . Unfortunately on my Exchange, one of the users was already called "globalA", so when the batch started going through all the users which it has to migrate, it found said conflict and will not
migrate the user mailbox "globalA".
I was thinking of creating another global admin account called "Cloud Global Admin B" with primary address "globalB@...". I will then delete the cloud user globalA and purge it from the removed users section, then stop and resume the migration
batch and it SHOULD be able to migrate the Exchange mailbox of globalA.
So I have two questions:
1. Since I created the migration endpoint and batch using "globalA", will it make a difference if the user account is deleted and I continue managing the migration with a new global administrator?
2. Will the above mentioned workaround allow the "globalA" Exchange mailbox to be migrated?
Thanks!

The "globalA" user is likely tied to the migration endpoint, so you'll want to create a new endpoint for migration batches moving forward. Make sure you force a DirSync (a couple of times) to clear out the original account from the metaverse,
and that should all you to migrate the user.

• NEW MAIN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT

By an awful accident my macbook fell to the floor. After that, it started not working well so i took it to 'rehab'.
I've got it back now in perfect conditions and i wanted to migrate back my main account (which i migrated out before with all my documents & stuff).
I'm using migration assistant to bring back all the information but instead of taking everything into the new main administrator account, everything's gathered into another -new & different- account.
Does anybody know how can I either:
make this new account the main administrator,
or
erase the one that the mac automatically made when first turned on after 'sugery'??????
Any help would by very appreciated...
Thanks.

yes to both. from the automatically made admin account go to system preferences->accounts. unlock the lock at the bottom, select the migrated account and check the box "allow user to administer the computer". this will make the migrated account admin too. now log out and log into the migrated account. go to system preferences->accounts there, unlock the lock, select the automatically made account and click on "-". this will delete that account.

• Global Administrator Account

I'm very new to OS X server. Until now I have only used it as a file server and have only played around with boot images.
My question
I have a number of macs that connect to NT and Novel servers. Our IT department handles the administration of these servers and my department handles the administration of the macs. I will never know their admin password.
So, what I have been doing is creating local user accounts for each user and a local admin account on each mac. This works fine, until I need to change the admin password. Which thankfully isnt often at all. But it got me thinking. Is there a way to create local user accoutns on each mac, but have the admin account be hosted by the server? so I can chang the password on each mac at the same time? Or rather, I'd change the password on the server and the end result would be the same?
I know Im a newbie here. Sorry if this is an obvious one.

• I ended with two Administrator accounts after migration assistant

I had to install Leopard again after a failure drive and I use the migration assistant to move all my stuff and now I'm confused because I have two admin accounts. I rename the other one when (following the directions) and I tough I was going to have all my iTunes stuff and pictures and all my contacts in the Address Book, my calendars from iCal, etc on the new account. How can I transfer all this from the old account to the new one? Do I have to keep the two accounts? What if I delete the new one?
As you can see, I'm very confused.
Thank you in advance

Migration Assistant cannot overwrite an existing account with another having the same short name. MA gave you the option of changing the name of the account your were migrating or cancel the process. What you should have done was to cancel the process, reinstall OS X, and this time use a different short name for the initial admin account. So, here's what you can do:
Macworld | Changing the short username in Leopard. Be sure to read through the article before proceeding.

• Photoshop Elements 11 installed on Mac Mini OS X 10.9.5. Application running successfully on bot main user and administrative accounts for considerable time with no warning messages. When established a new user account on same computer and try to call up

Photoshop Elements 11 installed on Mac Mini OS X 10.9.5. Application running successfully on bot main user and administrative accounts for considerable time with no warning messages. When established a new user account on same computer and try to call up elements receive message “Some ot the application components are missing from the Application directory. Please reinstall the application.” How do I correct this problem without disturbing application in main user account?

Brooks lansing if you create a new Administrator account does the same issue occur? If so then it is likely that there is a file permission failure and file permissions have been set for the existing Users instead of the groups they belong to.
Have you removed and reinstalled Photoshop Elements 11? This may reset the file permissions to the correct state to allow it to work under new accounts.

• Built-in domain Administrator account not given full access to new Exchange 2013 server

I migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2013 over the weekend. I cannot log into the EAC with my domain administrator account I use to log into all my other servers. I also cannot run the clean-mailboxdatabase cmdlet logged in as this user. I
had no trouble moving mailboxes from the old server to the new server with this account though.
This account is a member of: Domain Admins, Enterprise Admins, Exchange Full Admin, Exchange Organization Admin, Organization Management, Schema Admins, Server Management.
I can log into the EAC with another admin account that has the same memberships as the Administrator account.
I tried giving the account the role of "Databases" as suggested by others to fix the clean-mailboxdatabase issue but that did not work for me either.
The Administrator mailbox has been moved to the new database on the Exchange 2013 server. The Exchange 2010 has been decommissioned and is turned off.

Hi,
Based on my research, to retrieves the mailbox statistics for the disconnected mailboxes for all mailbox databases in the organization, we can try the following command:
Get-MailboxDatabase | Get-MailboxStatistics -Filter 'DisconnectDate -ne $null'
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124612(v=exchg.150).aspx
Additionally, The Identity parameter specifies the disconnected mailbox in the Exchange database and it can be display name instead of mailbox GUID.

Hope it can help you.

• Can I migrate multiple reports to a newer version at the same time?

If I have an older version of Crystal Reports can I migrate them all to a newer version at the same time? Is there some documentation that will provide instructions? I dont' want to have to upgrade them one at a time.
Thanks - Mike

There is no utility that will do that for you. Not from SAP. Perhaps some 3rd party (google Ken Hamady), etc. Or, you could create an application in VS .NET or java to do it though.
But depending on what you are migrating from and what you are migrating to, you may not need to do any updating at all...

• The new firefox changed my settings, i can only find my administrative account on my laptop, but i'm not logged in as the administrator.

I am trying to attach files from my user account on my laptop, but when I try to attach them inside a Firefox browser, it only allows me to look at the administrator account and the documents on there. I am not logged into my administrator account, because I obviously only use that for the administrative things on my computer. I'm not sure what to do to change this, I've looked through all of the settings in my new version of Firefox (3.6.11) and I can't find anywhere to change those settings. HELP ME, PLEASE!?

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.

• I have a new PC and I am getting the message "The iTunes Library File cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." I am the only one using this PC and I have Windows 7 Pro and have an administrator account. Help

Can anyone help me with this problem. ITunes message," The iTunes library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." I have administrator account and transferred files from old PC. I downloaded new iTunes program on new PC. I synced my iPhone to new PC, no problem. I deleted old account after indicating shared files to new admin account. Can anyone help?

A belated reply, as the problems itunes has have discouraged me from using it much. If you uncheck the "read only" box, it doesn't stay that way! Next time you use it, the box comes up checked.
I'm still having that problem, even when I open iTunes as administrator.
I've yet to see the answer to this problem. I use itunes mostly to download audiobooks, and I'm ready to download more, and want to save them!

• If i cancel an account can I create a new one with the same e-mail address?

I made an account with Game Center and I wanted to use it to get some free apps on the iTunes Store. When I tried to sign in on iTunes (for Windows) it said I had to review my details. I didn't have a credit card so I couldn't complete it and there wasn't any option for no credit card.
I wondered if I could cancel my account and create a new one with the same e-mail address. There was a discussion that you could create a new account on the iTunes Store and have the choice to not have a credit card.
Any help will help!
SuperHoops

No, it does not, not if the creation of the Apple ID was completed, which unless you are referring to a different Apple ID I presume it did since you are posting here. And once created, you can't get apps without providing a payment method; setting up for just free apps requires a very specific procedure or a payment method is necessary. Creating an account via Game Center does not work.
If you can create a new email address (Gmail or Yahoo mail will work), take a look here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

• How do I create a new administrator account?

I want to create a new administrator account and then move everythng (files, etc.) over to the new account. Then I would delete the old account.
How do I do that? I am running 10.7.5 on a Macbook Pro.
Thanks,
Catherine

Open System Preferences / Users & Groups with your current admin account.
Click the Lock icon (lower left) to unlock Users & Groups.
Click the "+" sign to add a new user. Select Administrator from the dropdown user type.
Enter the new user's name and password.
You will have to give yourself access to the folders of the new User, otherwise you can't copy files to them. You may also have to change permissions on each file in your folders so your new user has Read/Write access.

• Can you set up a new I Tunes account, but still use the same email address, as having problems with it keep telling me it has been disabled, no matter what I do to chnage the passwords, I haven't used the account since 2010?

Hi eddinchina,
You should have no need to use the Old Sync account.
As long as device or devices are Firefox 29 or later (They should all be Firefox 30 now) you should use the New Sync.
You may use the same email address with both accounts.

• Can I disable (or remove) the "migration administrator" account?

I installed a SBS 2011 server about two years ago - and migrated from an old SBS 2003 server.
In the process of migration, a "migration administrator" account was created. Now, I see it in my list of users and was wondering if I missed a step somewhere that should have deleted (or disabled) this account.
Is it safe to disable?

Its always a good practice to Disable a NON required account. You can read the description of the user account "If Any" . If its an account that is apart from BuiltInAdministrator, go ahead and delete or disable.
Normally in SBS 2008 and SBS 2011 Domain "Administrator" account as it is disabled by default. This is for security reasons as the most common account for hackers to use when launching an attack on your server is the default administrator account
name. If you need the "Administrator" account for some reason, though I don't recommend using it, it is in AD under the Uses OU not the MyBusiness\Users\SBSUsers OU. You will need to enable it, and assign a password.
