New Grid Menu Snafu with Right-Click

Going to Podcasts from the source menu, selecting Grid View, and then right clicking "Update" to update the podcast selected does not work. Viewing the podcast in any other manner does work.
Originally upon downloading iTunes 8, this feature worked at least once, I think. However, to my recollection, I haven't been able to do it after completing it once or twice.
I have installed some new apps, but none of them or video or audio related (RapidoStart, RapidoWrite).
This is a small snafu, but it makes working in grid mode annoying because I have to go into a different view, collapse the expanded podcast lists or scroll down them, OR individually select the podcast to start the update process in order to quickly update more than several podcasts of interest.
Automatic updates also do not seem to work, even though I asked iTunes to download the podcasts everyday for new episodes.
Any help or ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

Open Textedit, Apple-N, and then save the darned file somewhere deep in the labyrinth of the Finder where you've just been but withouth the file. It takes AGES.
I, on the other hand -- at least in Windows --, right-click, new, double-click AAAND I'm on editing the file.
VERY quick.
It's beyond me why this is not possible on a Mac.

Creating a new document in Finder with right-click--How?

Is there a way to create a new document in a Finder folder by right-clicking (or Ctrl-left)? So that the new file will be created at that very spot, in that very folder.
In Windows-Explorer this was quick and easy. Just right-click and you could choose from a menu to create a new empty doc of the most popular (installed) programs. Text file was mandatory. The file was created where the curser was at. VERY handy as that way you didn't have to open the application, create a new doc and then when saving having to crawl your way all the way to the position in the Explorer/ Finder.
Since I started with Apple and Tiger I've been missing this feature and Snow Leopard still does not seem to have it. Or did I miss something? I checked all the menue as well. There's not even a "Create new document". Only a "Create new folder".
I was just reminded of this when I wanted to create a new file on an external drive on a server to save some text in it. There was no way other than first opening Textedit, saving the empty file on the local Mac, THEN transferring the empty file to the server. Only THEN I could open it and edit it.
There MUST be a quicker way.
Also, in Windows you could edit this list in the menu (and add programs that would not by themselves do this). Is there a way for the Mac?

Launch menu-app with right-clicking in DWM

I'd like to be able to right-click inside dwm, as in a regular desktop environment setup, and launch the menu-app mygtkmenu. I know it's possible to bind a keyboard shortcut to run it, but i'd rather use the mouse for that. Are there any patches for dwm or perhaps applications to emulate this feature?
Any tips are appreciated.

The easiest thing to do is to make a right click on the clock or status text launch your program, such as:

Or you can have a middle click on the client window launch your program:

DWM has pretty good mouse support built in.

Disable (all) functions on the block diagram with right-click menu

Hello to everyone,
here is one more idea, which I'd like to propose.
As for me, it would be useful to have the following: when all components (functions, wires, subVIs, etc.) are selected on the block diagram (like, after ctrl+A), operator could do right-click, and in the menu would appear menu item "Disable everything". After it, all the code could be placed into Disable structure.
Of course, I can add Disable structure to block diagram manually, and cover whatever I want, but with right-click menu it would be much faster.
Also, it can be modified to disable only selected items - then each of them can be placed into separate Disable structure, and, for example, additionaly in the enabled case of Disable structure, corresponding wires will be connected. Sometimes it is needed for testing - just to disable couple functions, and test subVI. Or to disable subVI fully (it's faster, then disable place, where it is called. Especially, if subVI is used in many places).
It will not make debugging difficult, because anyway Disabled structures are used; such functionallity can just make life a little bit easier...

There is always the File->New... which opens up a new window. You can have your templates in that window by putting them somewhere (I don't remember where at the moment).

Since upgrading to Mail 7.0 the menu popup from right clicking an element in an email has changed.

Since upgrading to Mail 7.0 the menu popup from right clicking an element in an email has changed. There is now only a short three item menu:
Previously there was a longer menu (like the one when right clicking an item on a Safari page):
I've looked in Preferences and at all the Mail dropdown items but can't find any way to get the old menu back (or why it changed). In particular, I miss the "copy image" item which allowed me to copy an item image into a new email for forwarding. I've got two email accounts, an IMAP and a POP. The behavior is the same with both.
Any ideas?

You can still, of course, simply forward the entire email message containing the image.
You could also use the "Save Attachment ..." feature available when you right click and copy and paste from there once the image is saved.
Less likely, you could also use the "Share" feature available when you right click, though I suspect it may not offer sharing options that you would like.

Missing share menu option using right click

Hi everybody,
I've been seeing quite a few videos that with twitter integration in OS X mountain lion, I am able to share the url or pictures directly from web browser (Safari). Something like what this video does:

While I am able to share links of websites by clicking the share button beside the address bar, I did not manage to see any share menu option when I right click on an image within the browser. I tried it on several sites and on various images but all I could do is open the image in new tab/window or download and save the image somewhere. Why is this so?
I am still pretty new in the world of mac OS so please kindly guide me along if you know the solution. Thanks!

Regarding the ATI option;
This option appears only using Windows XP.
Using XP you can reach the ATI settings with right click on the desktop -> Properties
In Vista you should find the ATI Catalyst in Start -> All Programs -> Catalyst Control Center
Regarding the battery time;
Battery working time depends on the notebook usage and on the battery.
If you are running heavy performance applications then the battery will last not longer as one hour.
You can extend the battery working time if you would dim the screen brightness and would use a stronger battery with higher mA value.

Is it possible to have Flash open the menu when you right click a link?

I'm using sIFR 3 on a few of my websites. Personally I think it's a really cool and nice solution. I have had no issues with it so far except what I've recently discovered.
When you right click on a link (or control click on a mac) it should have the normal menu you'd get if you clicked on a regular HTML link. Also when you hover over the link it doesn't display the status in the status bar (i.e. the URL the link will take you to if you click it).
Anyways, I'm trying to come up with a workaround to this (personally I think the developers should have already thought of one but I guess not). That being said I'm wondering if Flash can do something like that. Is there a code I can put in the Actionscript to tell it to open up the browser menu when someone right clicks or control clicks a link?
For some reason I'm thinking this isn't possible without JavaScript but I have had some people telling me in the current version of Flash it isn't possible at all. I'd be interested in hearing everyone else's opinion.

Notice that the top navigation (and side navigation) is all done using sIFR. IF you try and right click (or control click on Mac) on one of the links you'll see nothing happens.

Probleme solved without having to change anything in the flash.
The solution was to add a small part in the CSS in HTML

Need to create menu on mouse right click

I have a web application with frames with one frame have a tree.
Now i want to right click on one node and say "Copy" the node to another location in the tree..
My problem is that i am able to get how to create the menu option on right click.
Can anybody suggest how to acheive this

i'm pursuing the same thing. i believe ONE way of doing it is to add an ActionListener to the component, whether it be the frame or the node component you speak of. compare the action event object to the right click of the mouse, if it's true the trigger a menu, and ideally place the menu object next to the x,y coordinates of the mouse cursor (either to the left or to the right depending on where on the screen the cursor is.
as far as how a menu is created i do not really know and would also like some information on that.
i'm guessing it should be related to the JMenu object (directly a subclass of JMenuItem which in turn is a subclass of AbstractButton). That's a good place to start from. let me know if you get anywhere on this.

Deactive OLAP functions with right click

Hi guys,
I want to deactive "OLAP functions with right click" in thw workbooks to avoid some mis-operations from users. I tried to uncheck it from BEx toolbar (under "Settings") and saved the workbook. But when I reopen the workbook, it becomes active again. Does anyone know how to deactive it forever? Thanks a lot.

I have tried it. It works, when you reopen, it will be still disable..

I assume but I can't check that MathType rely on the standard iWork applications location which isn't the one used by the mac App Store.
Create a subfolder named iWork '09 in the Applications folder.
Select the iwork applications which you own then drag them into the iWork '09 folder.
You will be asked to type your password. Don't worry, it's normal.
It's required because the System must store the infos describing the new location so that, if a new revision is delivered, mac App Store will be able to find the apps where they are.
When this will be done, try to re-install MathType.
I guess that this time it will behave flawlessly.

How to Remove "OLAP Functions with right-click" in Workbooks (By VBA?)

Dear Experts:
After we created workbooks, to prevent end users from using certain BEx functions, we greyed out some "icons"
on SAP BEx Menu in the workbooks. But now we have one problems: because we also made "Setting" unable on the menu bar, now we are not able to remove one marked selection: "OLAP Functions with right-click". Is there any way we can disable "OLAP Functions with right-click", then users can only use the normal Excel functions in the workbooks??

Strange "Hello World" menu item on right click

Hello - for a few days now I am getting a strange Hello World contextual menu item when right clicking in some applications… Excel, iPhoto… It's at the bottom of the items separated by a line. When I choose it a text clipping kind of window comes up with German heading "Ohne Titel". In it it shows Hello World, which cannot be edited. Closing window is the only option.
Any idea what this is and how to remove it?

It displays which ever application is active, i.e. the window seems to belong to that application.
Below is a list of "My Processes"… I am not familiar enough with the list to say if there is anything unusual in it.

Email Security Plug-in - Doesn't seem to work with right click or save and send

I've searched the knowledge base but have not located the answer yet.
We have the Encrypt Message plug-in installed to flag the email [SEND SECURE]. This works very well when in Outlook. It does not seem to work when right clicking a file to send outside of Outlook or performing Save and Send from within Microsoft Office. The add-in still shows and users are clicking it and the Send button but the emails are not going securely. We are on Microsoft2010 on mostly XP machines.
How can I get Encrypt Message to work in all instances?
