New Harddrive for all fotos

Hi,
I'm totaly lost, because I want to transfer all my fotos to a new bigger harddrive.
I have fotos in the Aperture Lib but also external stored in several folders. So I transfered all files to the new harddrive. Relocating the aperture lib was no problem. But the external stored fotos aren't correct connected.
If I try to reconnect them with aperture I fail, because the button for reconnect all (I don't know, if this ist the correct term for the english button, I'm using the german version!!) is always grey and not active. It is not possible to click on that button.
So, anybody an idea? Onother way of reconnecting? Wrong function in aperture?

got it!! Very stupid way!!! You must click only on one missing item in the list, search the new location an then the button for all items in the list is clickable.

TB 27.0.1 (W7) will not "get new messages for all accounts"

I installed W7 with IE11and downloaded the latest TB (27.0.1) I have added five email accounts (more to be added) and none of them show up in the left pane - only global Inbox and two folders I created. I can get new messages manually one account at a time, but "get new messages for all accounts" (or Shift F5) does nothing. Most of this happed after MS installed well over 100 updates to my W7, but some of my accounts never did show up in the left pane even before the W7 updates. I have reinstalled TB - nothing changes.

The crux of the matter has been resolved by checking the “Include this server when getting new mail” box in each account’s “Advanced” box under “Server Settings.” Now every time TB checks for new mail (including on startup), the process is displayed in the lower left portion of the window. I wish this had been explained to me more clearly early on.
Having all accounts in the left pane has become unimportant now that I can see the mail being checked on startup, periodically, and on Shift F5.

Very easily. I have an iPod touch and iPad on the same account with totally different content.
If you use iTunes, connect each iPad to your computer and open iTunes and deselect any automatic updating/syncing. If you don't sync with iTunes but have them set up independently, under the settings, App Store, turn off automatic downloads for apps, etc.
I'm old fashioned, I set up and sync my iPad and iPod to my computer and iTunes. Each device has a different name and I manage content manually and only allow sharing on what I want shared.

Hi, I may as well give the full story...
I've had my 27" iMac for 6 months or so now. I have a 1 TB Sata harddrive with 4Gbs of Memory. Out of my 1 TB, I partitioned 100 Gb to run Windows, purely for gaming purposes. However, I need more memory, so I started looking into buying some more Memory for the RAM (seems simple enough to do on your own) and a new harddrive to increase the overall memory capacity (doesn't seem as simple to do on your own). I don't want to partition any more of my current memory from my Mac towards Windows because I do freelance art work using Photoshop and 3D packages. And with me working on high resolution images, I don't want anything to start slowing down.
So, basically, all I want to know is, can I take my iMac to an Apple Store, buy a hard drive and they do this for me (obvisouly with charge) or is there some recommened shops or retailers I should check out? I honestly don't trsut myself installing a new hardrive after seeing a couple of video tutorials on how to do it!!

For iMacs, you can't go out and buy a 3rd party drive. Apple has customized the firmware on the 2011 iMac hard drives that report the drive's temperature. A non-Apple drive will cause the iMac's fans to run at full speed. You can of course get a program like HDD fan control to set the fan speed yourself. However, no way is Apple or a certified Apple repair shop going to put a non-Apple drive into your iMac for you.
2TB drives are an option on the 2011 27" iMacs, so you could go to an Apple store and see if they will upgrade the drive. However, even with AppleCare, you would still probably have to pay for the upgrade (drive cost and labor) yourself. Just call Apple and see what they have to say.
Memory is easily user-installed - but don't buy from Apple as their memory is WAY overpriced. OWC (http://www.macsales.com/) has great prices on memory, or you could also check out Crucial.
BTW, don't confuse RAM(memory) with hard drive(storage) - two different things. If I were you, I would install more memory and buy a fast Firewire external drive (at the moment, Thunderbolt drives are overly pricey) to supplement your internal drive.

If I make an Import PO on USD currency for 20000 Qty, when I receive the material from Import vendor I'll maintain the customs and excise duties conditions in PO by changing, then MIRO first i'll make payment to the planned delivery cost next for goods (import vendor) then i'll go to J1IEX and MIGO.
Now I want to map that if I receive the partial quntity like 5000 qty. for this I have to clear customs duty and I'll make J1IEX and MIGO.
After 15 days or 20 days I may receive another 15000 qty or partly...even for this I have to make partly payment.
Please give the solution for partly clearing the customs duties with respect to one single import PO and also I may maintain Frieght charges for different vendor (CIF gent) partly to the respective qty. and delivery. I checked that after making MIGO for partly received qty and if I change the condition in PO it cannot change. It says that MIGO have done".
In condition type for duties calculate type is maintained in percentage.

I recently had to get a new harddrive for my computer and lost my itunes. But i have a ipod touch and was wondering if i just download itunes again and sync it with my ipod would all my song and apps be transfered over?

No, they won't transfer over, however, there are third party PC/Mac programs which will transfer the content of your iPod to your computer. Just do a Google search on this topic and you will find them (e.g. senuti)

How to change the address to new address for all pages in a script

i created a script for my website against an IP address
now i have to run the same script of web site against new IP address
can i change programmitically the old ip address of all script pages to new ip address?
or should i go manually by opening each and every page address properties and changing it to new ip address.
any suggestions
my visual script is having around 75 pages.
having a visual script with that many pages is best practice?

If I understand your question correctly, the address contains an IP address that you need to change for the 75 pages..
If you change the first address in the page, save the script and re-run the test this should fix the remaining 74 pages.
ex: http://192.168.2.1/index.html (Old)
http://202.116.25.1/index.html(New)
If the url example above is this task you are going to resolve, this will take care of your issue.
If you have 75 scripts that need the URL changed, and you have upgraded to 8.20, you can use the script updater utility to do this.

I got a new harddrive for my MacBook Pro and successfully restored the mac partition, but I don't know how to restore the bootcamp partition.

So I got a new hard drive for my early 2009 version Mac Book Pro and some new memory to speed the little guy up. I was trying to copy the Mac and BOOTCAMP partitions onto the new drive, and I am close, but not home free.
Here's what I have done so far:
I got an external cage thing for the new/old HD.
I put the new HD in the cage and cloned the mac and BOOTCAMP partitions to the new disk while booted from a DVD.
I put the new drive in the machine and the old one in the cage.
I booted the machine and it loaded the mac side fine.
When I tried to use the 'option' key to, select the system I wanted to boot into on the reboot, it didn't show me the windows (bootcamp) option.
That's where I am at. When I go into disk utility it shows my BOOTCAMP partition in the list of logical disks under my disk, but it is grayed out. I can mount it, but when I restart, I can't select it. I feel like I am so, so close. What do I need to do?
(BTW, the old drive, the dude I am trying to clone, still exists in its entirety in the cage; I could put it back in and go from there if I had to.)

Do you mean you want to reinstall Leopard? If you want to boot from your Leopard DVD do this:
Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo appears.
5. Wait for installer to finish loading.

Why is overwritten file opening new file for all backed up versions of file?

I accidentally overwrote an important file by accidentally selecting the wrong file to be replaced. I was at a client's premises when it happened and the external time machine drive was not connected. So there should be no problem because my time machine hard drive was at home with the old file in the time machine back ups right? Wrong.
When I go into time machine, whether through searching in the individual folder or "Enter Time Machine" method, it always opens the new overwritten version of the file!
The original just has to be on the external Time Machine hard drive! It wasn't connected to the computer when I overwrote the file on my computer. So why are all versions of the back up opening the new version of the file and not opening the back versions of the file?! What good is Time Machine if it is opening new versions of the overwritten file when you want to open the old versions of the backed up file?

Force documents to open in new window for all users?

Is there a way to force all portal users to open their documents in a new window? I know individual users can do it through the my account page, but is there a way to set the default as "open in new window"?

the code comments were blocking the forums ability to display the comments, so I removed the comment out tags

Firefox loads only blank new tabs for all web pages, with blank url bar.

After a minor automatic update (16.0.1 --> 16.0.2), firefox is now completely unusable.
Any time I attempt to load a page, it only shows a blank tab labeled 'new tab'.
The url bar for this page will be blank if I try to open it from a link or bookmakrk.
The url bar for this page will be exactly what I typed if I manually typed a url.
Right-clicking the blank pages does nothing: no context menu.
The 'troubleshooting information' page DID load properly though; it's the only page I've been able to display at all so far.
Restarting firefox did not fix the issue.
Restarting firefox in safe mode with addons disabled did NOT fix the issue -- so please don't waste time trying to tell me it's the addons.
Changing network proxy settings did not fix the issue.
There are no connection problems: IE can load pages just fine from the same computer.
I love mah firefox... but now it's dead... please help!

Update: Solved:
Firefox works properly after restarting entire computer.
It's poor form to require computer restarts for minor browser updates... and even poorer to not say so when you do.
(Some of us are running servers in the background that should not be interrupted.)

In order to deauthorize devices which you no longer have, you will have to use the deauthorize all command, found in the article below.
Deauthorize all computers
If need to deauthorize your computer but you can't access it, you need to deauthorize all computers. After you authorize 2 computers, you'll have the option to deauthorize all computers for your Apple ID. You can deauthorize all computers once per year.
Why should I deauthorize all of my computers?
To make sure that only you can play your content, or to free up authorizations used by your old computers. Here's when you should deauthorize all computers:
Your computer doesn't work anymore
You sold or gave away a computer and didn't deauthorize it first
What happens when I deauthorize all computers? Will I lose my content?
Just like deauthorizing a single computer, you won't delete anything if you choose to deauthorize all computers. You just won't be able to play content that you bought from iTunes on those computers until you reauthorize them. You need to have the computer to reauthorize it.
How do I deauthorize all of my computers?
Using one of your authorized computers, follow these steps:
Open your account in iTunes (you may need to sign in with your Apple ID). Or open iTunes, click Store > Sign In, and enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Deauthorize All.
The Deauthorize All button appears only if you have more than 2 authorized computers. If you don't see the Deauthorize All button, that means you only have one authorized computer.

Reauthorize each computer that you want to use with iTunes. Go to Store > Authorize this computer and enter your Apple ID and password.

Having trouble loading OSX onto a new harddrive for my imac

Hi,
I have a late 2009 Imac. I just installed a new Seagate harddrive in it after the old Seagate drive died. I am having a problem installing the OS X 10.6.4 that came with the computer originally. I insert the install disk, start the computer, hold c while it is starting up, then in the next menu I click on English as the language, next it says the OS is loading but stops in the middle of loading and a message comes up saying "OS X could not be installed on your computer". I try to click on disk utilities from the menu in the upper left but all of the options are grayed out. The two things I can choose are to restart the computer or to load from a back up . Any help on what I could try would be great.

After I click the language selection the loading bar opens automatically, I have no time to click anything. When the message "OS X could not be installed on your computer" comes up on the screen I have two options to click either restart computer or Load from time machine backup. I cant exit out of this message, also until this point I can not see the utilities drop down menu in the upper left. Once I do get the drop down menu it is all grey and I can't choose anything. I assume I have to format the hard drive due to it being a new one, but without being able to get into disk utilities I'm not sure how.
