New HD Multi Room DVR Issues (AV Syncing & DVR Error Message)

I recently upgraded our Multi Room DVR to the new HD compatible box. To date, we have had no problems with our Samsung which is hooked up to the primary DVR in our Family Room, the issue is with our 20" LG in the bedroom, which is hooked up to the new box.
The issues are:
1. Audio/Video Syncing - After watching a live program for a while the AV syncing becomes an issue. I find this mainly on HD channels, but it will also happen on the non HD channels as well.
2. 'No DVR Signal' - When watching a recorded HD program on the new box, we have gotten the a communication error message toward the end of the show. The only choice that the message gives us is to select OK, which stops the recording and takes us back to the main playback menu. When we try and fast forward to the part of the show where we got the message, the picture freezes and we can not watch any longer.
I have talked with Verizon and, initially, I thought that it was an issue with the activation since it happened the first night that we got the box, however, it has now happened twice in the same week.
I will say that we did not have this issue with the standard STB Multi Room DVR, it worked fine.

1) I have not seen or heard about this issue yet.
2) This is a knows issue and they have a fix that will be rolled out on image 1.7 on the STB. And that should be out in the next few weeks.
Hey Thanks Tim for the update. The "Unable to Locate Hub" nag is really getting me. If Verizon fixes that issue I would be able to live with the other issues. I love the service except for the nag. It's a real killer to try and watch a show and the nag comes up.

I just picked these out by going to the box to the right called - More like This.

Why not?! It synced fine yesterday and I have made no changes. How do I get it to stop giving me the error message and sync?
I have tried shutting everything down. I have tried everything I can think of short of wiping the phone by hitting "Restore" and I really do not want to do that.

I actually figured it out a while ago.
Turns out it is not an issue with the iPhone or iTunes.
By process of elimination I deduced it could be a permissions issue with the hard drive and/or folder that holds the contents of my Music Library.
For example, if the "Sharing & Permissions" settings (found in the "Get Info" Window) are set to "Read Only" on the internal or external drive that contains your Music Library for iTunes then you can not write to the disk. Therefore, you do not have privelges to make changes to the internal or external drive and you get the error message when you try to sync with the information on that drive.
Here's the kicker and million dollar questions:
How did the "Sharing & Permissions" settings get changed on my Hard Drive without me doing it?
Why did my iPhone sync fine yesterday and suddenly today the Hard Drive is doing this?
I have to set all priveleges to all drives to "Read & Write" and that just doesn't seem very secure to me.

Error 1 or -1
This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
The" may need service' meand there is a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Before I started to resync calendars one by one as suggested in the troubleshooting article, I remembered something that came up in a sync when I first attempted : a 'which one do you want to keep' message about a repeating calendar event, which came up with three options, one from Calendar, and two from iCal on the phone. I deleted that event, then went through the calendar resync one by one, and all seems OK now.
In Music there is a way to find 'ghost' items that show up as grayed-out on the menus, so that you can try to reassociate or delete them. It would be nice to have a similar way to work with Calendar!

You cannot run Photoshop CS on a new Intel-based Mac running OS X Mavericks. CS is far too old.
You'll have to buy Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop Elements 12. Or subscribe to CC.

When syncing an error message comes up 'can't back up ipad to computer' Can anyone assist?

Did you do the Super Duper clone before you tried to reinstall the OS? If so, the original install disc is likely earlier than 10.4.11, and that may be why you are getting the message.
When trying to reinstall the OS, did you select the "Archive and Install" option? If not, you might try that. Here's a link that might help:

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

IPod won't sync, no error message nothing freezes

I originally started with not being able to use iTunes 9 on my new windows 7 notebook. I reinstalled my os and before anything else I installed iTune 9. All went well, I loaded all my music, and even synced my iPod classic 80gb, then it went back to starting to sync but the it would stop syncing. iTunes shows that it is syncing and when I eject my iPod it warns me that it is still syncing but there is no file transfer and the iPod has the connected screen, but not the syncing screen. I have tried all of my usb ports rebooted all the usual to try to fix it. I can do a full 60 gb sync using sharepod, or media monkey, but not itunes. I think this pretty much points to an iTunes problem. Everything sees my iPod, windows, iTunes, sharepod, winamp, and media monkey. I have never gotten an error message thru all of this. Any ideas? How about you APPLE, got any suggestions?
