New HD &OSX install error

I rencently installed new hd, g4 processor and osx panther on some tray loading imacs. 3 of them went great and are functioning very well.
On the last three I have gotten the same message: There were errors in installing the software, PLease try reinstalling.
I tried another disk thinking perhaps it was damaged but have gotten the same error. It gets to 'Processing Base System Part 2' hangs for a while then will give that message.
Any suggestions?

I found a way round this one.
I put the old 8.6 HD back in, put in the 233MHz card and checked the firmware. Then I put the 80g HD in, erased it, partitioned it and installed OS X using the 233MHz card. When it comleted I put the G4 card in and things are working great.

I'm having an issue with Adobe AIR installer on my Mac.
Having already uninstalled a previous beta, I am presented with an
error message whenever the 1.0 installer is launched: "Adobe AIR
Already installed on this system". Of course, that is not the case
and for the life of me I can't get this blasted version to install.
So my Mac is running out of AIR, and so am I.
Any ideas?

You can enable installer logging (

to find out why the installer thinks AIR is already installed.
Most likely, however, it is. Check /Library/Frameworks and
see if Adobe AIR.framework is already there.

OSX Install Errors

I'm trying to do a clean install of OSX (10.6.3, Snow Leopard). I have an SSD with an old linux installation that I intend to reformat connected to a 2010 Mac Book (original HDD died). When I boot from the DVD I get a hang (grey screen w/ apple logo). No periphials are connected. Any ideas as to what is happening?

the white Snow Leopard disc packaging was created in 2009; in 2009, that packaging was accurate. The white Snow Leopard DVD was intended for Intel Macs which came from the factory with grey model-specific installation DVDs having either Tiger or Leopard on them; the drivers on the white Snow Leopard DVD support those models. The Mid 2010 models, and some Early 2011 models, came with grey model-specific DVDs with Snow Leopard on them; they have no need of the white Snow Leopard DVD. The grey DVDs with Snow Leopard on them are not identical to the white Snow Leopard DVD; the grey ones are tailored for a specific model Mac, while the white one is generic for Macs made before 2010.
Apple does not release separate driver updates for OS X; they appear in OS X version upgrades. If you would like to do a clean reïnstallation of Mac OS X onto your Mid 2010 model, then contact Apple directly to purchase a replacement pair of the grey installation DVDs for your model. (Have your MacBook Pro’s serial number handy.) Its grey discs will also give you your model’s original iLife apps and its Apple Hardware Test, neither of which are found on the white Snow Leopard DVD.

CS6 Acrobat install error - Mac OSX 10.8.2

Just purchase CS6 and attempted to install in on my Mac OSX 10.8.2. All went well accept for when I installed Acrobat. It errored out

When I went to run Acrobat it loaded fine even though the install errored out. When I went to perform an upgrade it also threw an error stating that the install had been altered and therefor it couldn't install the upgrade. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall and it continues to do the same thing. Any ideas? Very frustrating...

First of all I have to say that for the amount of money spent on a software product Adobe's level of support is simple unacceptable. After spending many hr's on the phone and over 6 calls I gavce up. Each call the technician started from scratch in trouble shooting and did not even read the ticket info to see what was previously tried. The last couple of calls after 3 hrs on the phone each time, I was informed that this would be escalated to second and then thrid level support. Each time I was called back a week later where they left a msg to call back. When I called back the first person I talked to was the person again who attempted to trouble shoot the issue and the problem was never escalated So in the end after about more then 20hrs on the phone, 6 or 7 repeated occasions on the phone with tech support not including the ones where I called and sat on hold for over an hr and gave up, I simply gave up on their support. Unfortunately this left me with the only option of completely reinstalling OSX.

Forget that part. The apps won't work. Adobe apps must be installed properly. That may well explain your issues with CS6, too. Generalyl, though, there is no need to uninstall older versions...

What is the computer operating system involved? Can we assume Premiere Elements 12 as the new purchase? And, are you trying to install from an installation disc or from purchased online downloaded installation files?
I have not run into Error 2350. FDI Server Error before, but here are some links that talk about Error 2350. Please see if any of them apply to your situation.

Thank you... spoke to Rosetta Stone and they said the same thing, and the give a nice discount when upgrading.
Normally 5 levels of a language run about $479. When upgrading, you can get the same 5 levels for $199.
Fewer levels costs even less.

Correct. AFAIK Lightroom 2 is not compatible with Mac OS 10.8.x. You should upgrade your LR.

Meanwhile I solved the problem as follows: I searched for "dreamweaver" everywhere an deleted everything I could find. Then I searched for "CS6" and did the same. I guess there were around 20 or more places where I deleted directorys or files. Suddenly the installation did not stop at 2 % what it always did before and the installation was a success :-) It cost me more than 4 hours to figure that out and I did not find a really helping hint somewhere. Adobe itself I could not contact because I could not find an email adress or a phone number - poor support for such an expensive software. For luck I did not have to deliver something just in time. Lacking a useful support is a really poor, poor attitude of Adobe... I think I will not buy anymore Adobe products - it could cost too much of my time... :-(

Keep getting "General Install Error" when installing Flash Player 13 on Mac OSX 10.9.3

For about 2 weeks now I've been getting software update notifications for Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat X. Every time I run the update install I get an error that will not allow it finish. For Flash specifically that error says "General Install Error". I've uninstalled all of these programs to try to correct this error, now they are unable to be reinstalled due to this error. Please help!

To confirm, did you actually terminate the Safari process, or simply close the Safari windows? If you closed just the browser window, the Safari process was not terminated. Please refer to How do I quit Safari (or another browser/app) in OS X.
